Food Scene

Super cute coffee shop with great food, but probably not the best place to get real work done if you're looking for that type of experience. Nice place to hang though as the space is so bright and lively, can get a little busy during breakfast rush on weekends.

Favorite breakfast place near the property, everything is made on site, including the delicious breads, scones, biscuits, etc.

Closest place for coffee, 5 min walk if that. Big space so there's always a table available if you need to get some work done, but it can get a little noisy.

Super short walk, awesome chicken sandwiches/salads (and really reasonable breakfast sandwiches), cool touch screen ordering process. "Elevated fast food" if that makes sense, definite recommend.

Moderately priced, 15 min walk / 5 min drive, finely crafted Asian street food, and loud, old school hip hop. Big communal tables accept walk ins, but also great for groups if you call ahead (they only offer reservations for parties of 6 to 8 guests).

Moderately priced, 15 min drive, with an eclectic, worldly menu. Go there on a nice night, bypass the main eating space and go straight to the top for a great roof deck and view of downtown. Awesome happy hour pricing, but if you want a full meal, be aware that they have a full menu and bar area menu. Overlooks Little Man Ice Cream, which is great ice cream if you really, really enjoy long lines!

Pricey, 10 min drive, seasonal shared plates with an ever changing menu. Located inside The Source building, where you can also get a pre-dinner drink at RiNo Yacht Club or Crooked Stave.

Drinks & Nightlife

Hot and sweaty downstairs dancing. Don't miss the patio in the back, it's deceptively at least as big as the rest of the bar. Go left after getting in, walk past the bathrooms, and up the staircase. Sometimes a $5 cover. A good night of drinking could definitely end at Meadowlark.

Large outdoor space with food trucks and a smaller indoor space for ordering drinks. If the indoor bar gets busy, head out into the food trucks, one of them serves beer and delicious cocktails. Probably the bar I’ve been to most in Denver. Great place to start the night and later walk down the "strip" to the other options.

Pricey but great cocktails. Enter through an art gallery, which gives the bar a low key, secret vibe.

Not the closest brewery to the house, but the best/closest. Try the Blood Orange IPA, it's awesome. Most of their beers are half priced on Mondays.

Parks & Nature

A+ people watching on a nice afternoon, you may get lucky and find one of the dance groups practicing in the pavilion (salsa, capoeira, etc.).

Beautiful park with a walking/running/cycling road that cuts through, following the lake. Mansions surround, making for very nice window peeping.
