Enid Grace is a stellar baker. Her Italian marcato is the place to go to grab a mid-morning coffee and special treat. In the afternoon, Enid offers bar seating for aperitivo (drinks and small snacks).

Parks & Nature

Okay, it is spectacular -- absolutely one of the best beaches in Canada. There are also miles of hiking trails in the extraordinary dunes. Be warned, it will be crowded on weekends in the high season. Go to online to Ontario Parks five-days in advance of a visit to reserve.

You may just have the place to yourself. This beach is partially pebble, but it is within walking distance of Our County Place and is a great place for a quick dip. Maintained by the local Rotary Club, it is free, there are washrooms, picnic shelters and change cabanas, as a boardwalk with interesting sign posts pointing out local history. Take a stroll to the end of the spit and checkout the Wellington light.

Well, it is a public service if you need beer or spirits. They also stock many local wines... but you'll have more fun tracking those down at the vineyards.

The shores of Prince Edward County were treacherous and claimed many wrecks. This is a surprisingly engaging museum with lots to see and learn about Prince Edward County's marine heritage. Great for kids, an old lighthouse was relocated here, and there is a reconstructed blockhouse from the days when the loyalists fortified against marauding Yankees.
