Schoolhouse Pond is a 23-acre freshwater kettle pond located in West Chatham. Parking is by resident sticker and a public parking lot for Schoolhouse Pond is located on Sam Ryder Road, south of Old Queen Anne Road. This is a very popular pond for swimming, fishing, kayaking and small rowboats. Homes are sited around all of Schoolhouse Pond which is located just north of the Old Colony Rail Trail.

This is a beach very close to Windward Passage. It's never too busy and you can even bring your dog. It's a great spot to look for sea glass and to catch a seal passing by.
