City/town information

Meadview is located in Joshua Tree National Forest, between Lake Mead and the Colorado River. From our home in Meadview you have a view of the back side of the Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon West (Skywalk) is about 30-40 minutes away. They have many attractions at Skywalk. Walk the glass panels on the Skywalk. Fly over the canyon in a helicopter or on a zipline. Float down the Colorado River on a river tour. Meadview does not have a grocery store, however there is a Family Dollar, and Gas and Grub where you can get staples and some frozen food, milk, eggs and dairy. There are a couple places to eat in town. The Boathouse has good food and Anchor Smokehouse has pizza, most nights a buffet and smoked meats. They are both good. They also just opened an ice cream/sandwich shop called the Waffle Cone. Fisherman’s Landing is the local Bar and has pool tables and a good time. Our kitchen is fully stocked with pretty much everything you would need to cook a delicious meal. Pots & Pans, dishes, plates, silverware, baking pans etc. There is coffee in the refrigerator and usually some creamer, if not Creamer can be purchased at Family Dollar. There are a few spices and I try to keep some Olive Oil on hand for you to use. Also, there is pancake mix and Syrup just in case you decide to cook some breakfast. There is also a griddle in the cabinet. There is a gas BBQ on the patio, the patio lights can just be plugged in over in the corner. Enjoy the Sunset as you barbeque on the patio. We leave the cushions for the patio table just inside the door to the house. The wind blows in Meadview and just don’t want them to blow away. There is also 4 additional outdoor chairs on the patio on the other side of the house, if you need them. There is a firepit and some firewood in the yard that you are free to use. Please be respectful to the neighbors. We hope you enjoy our place as much as we do.
