Parque Florestal de Monsanto is the largest green space in the heart of Lisboa, with an area of almost 1000 hectares of woodland, usually known as the “Lisboa lung”, providing wonderful sights over Lisboa and its special light. It is a huge green spot of great interest and a wide vegetable variety. Through the Park it is possible to observe several species of oaks inhabited by quite a few squirrels. In fact, the ecosystem of the Parque Florestal de Monsanto is a "little box filled with surprises" given the huge diversity of animals, between reptiles, amphibious, birds and mammals. Integrated in the park, the Lisboa Camping offers visitors two multi-sports areas, a mini-golf course, two tennis courts, a swimming-pool area with solarium and terrace, a common room and an amphitheatre.
