Favorite food on Aquidneck Island for lunch? Lobster, of course! Eat it just caught, cooked and served right here at the dock picnic table or buy fresh to cook later at home. See the boats, smell the ocean, and enjoy the total experience!

Pick your own, shop in the market and eat homemade food inside or out. Always yummy and great fun for all. They started out as a little stand and have blossomed over the years. Voted best ice cream a few years ago and that got everyone heading this way. Go early if possible.

Early morning, when the breeze is from the Northwest, a scrumptious aroma will wake you. That's the new French bakery! The line to get in forms before 7 am, but you can order ahead and pick up at the window. Everything is my favorite! They've added a lunch spot across the driveway that opens at 11 am, about the time the bakery is sold out for the day. More yum!

Sightseeing

Are you an adventure seeker? Quite a thrill and a fun way to see the island. My husband had to do this for his 60th and a granddaughter for her 18th. So peaceful high in the sky!

Parks & Nature

My go-to spot for sunsets and during the day for leasure picnics. Enjoy walking on the rocks with waves crashing in from the Atlantic Ocean, watching boats head in & out of Narragansett Bay, walking trails, old climbing tower with spectacular views, and the best kiting in all of RI. ALSO, the Del's Lemonade truck is there every day! The Park entrance is FREE!

My favorite beach and a mile from Crab Apple Cottage. The first section is for surfing and that's where Del's lemonade truck parks. You must have some Del's daily. Don't use a straw or they'll know you're a tourist! Parking is free and open to all non-residents after 4 pm. Currently, only residents may use this beach from 8 am to 4 pm. The main entrance /pay parking for Second Beach is east towards Sachuest Point. Lines form by 8 am and lots close when full, usually by 11 am on hot days. I enjoy late afternoon arrival and parking is free from 4:30 - 9 pm.
