This is a huge Auchan (they call it Alcampo here in Spain, or Jumbo if you are from Portugal), where you can get anything you may need. Much lower prices than in the city, as they don't expect tourists to come here. Consider taking the tram from Mercado (one stop) or take a 10 minute walk from the apartment.

Underground tram station, 2 min walk from the apartment. Great way to reach many places in the area, including nearby locations like Costa Blanca. You can buy your tickets there. Google Maps knows the departure times. You can also take longer trips from here, to Madrid, Malaga, Valencia and more.

Parks & Nature

Postiguet beack is 8 min walk from the apartment, and it is Alicante's main beach. Be sure to check Costa Blanca beach in San Juan as well. That is my favorite.

Playa San Juan is a very long, very wide beach 20 mins away from the apartment, by tram. It is far less crowded and offers better restaurants than Postiguet Beach. You can take line 3 from Mercado station., which is 2 min from the apartment. The tram runs twice per hour, at :20 and :50, and it takes 15 mins to reach the beach. There are multiple tram stops you can get off at along the beach.
