A solid (and safe) choice for good mexican food, started up and Santa Fe and making it's way down to Albuquerque. The Green Chile is HOT, but it's a great experience overall. I typically get Stuffed Sopapillas or a combination plate here.

Kinda on the pricier side and requires a reservation... but man was this an AWESOME experience. We caught some live music and ate some of the tastiest food. Highly worth it for the experience, especially for a fancier date night.

Things To Do

MONDAY: Last I checked Lizard hosts an open mic on Monday nights. It's small and modest but some great people and fun musicians were going last I checked it out.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, this is a fun place to learn some good 'ol country dancing. My girlfriend and I come out a couple times a month and always have a great time. There's often live music, people across the whole range of ages come, and I've heard they also do lessons sometimes (but you'd have to call ahead, I've never actually seen them myself).

This is one of the most difficult trails Albuquerque hiking has to offer. You'll have to tell me how the view looks from the top... I'm too much of a rookie to go more than halfway myself!

Carlsbad Caverns is very much out of the way from Albuquerque... but if you have time it's a beautiful experience and some of the best New Mexico has to offer. Do some youtubing!

This one is a little far off from Albuquerque, but a noteworthy town to cross off the list. This town was where the nuclear bomb was dreamed up and tested. There's a museum to show a lot of the history around it.

I don't ski/snowboard myself... but you can't argue with the excellent reviews everyone else in the world gives of this place for quality snow time.
