This is a small market town with a laid-back, old-world feel and some nice architecture. If you are touring local towns, this is well worth a stop.

Norwich is a thirty minute drive from the cottage, or 17 minutes if you take a train from Diss. As well as the cathedral the city has lots of interesting buildings in its 'Golden Triangle' area and plentuy of good pubs and restaurants.

Bury is a thirty minute drive a way but and a must-see for those interested in hstory. As well as the ruins of the Abbey there is the cathedral and the huge parish church St Mary's. If you like classical music, the church has a magnificent million pound organ, which I can demonstrate to you!

About five minutes' drive away, this is a fantastic place for nature lovers and walkers. Several sign-posted walking routes and at the Information centre you can see a list of wildlife that inhabit the area.
