Hello,
The gondola is a short walk. We had guests with 4 kids ages 6-11 and they left a review that it was super easy. You should be able to store gear in the shop under the stairs up at the top of the gondola in Mountain Village. I’d make some reservations for dinner if you’re interested in eating out as well.
