The food is awesome. The drive from War, WV takes about 45 minutes. Take 16 south to Tazewell, Va take Highway 460 West about 10 minutes or less. Cuz’s is located on the left. Go down and turn left to cross lanes. Drive back east to get to parking. So worth going. If you have a Large group, call ahead with approximate time for seating. They’ll have table ready.

Berwind Lake is approximately 4 miles from War. You can ride your ATV there.
There is a swimming Pool and toddler pool at the lake. It can also be rented for private use. There is fishing available, picnic areas, and you can ride your canoe on the lake. Nice path across the bridge, that you may hike around the lake. Located at the upper end of the lake.

From Caretta Cottage to ride to Wilmore Dam. Follow rt 16 to Coalwood about 10 minutes. Then take frog level road and follow to the end and continue following dirt trail along the creek all the way to the Dam.
