Made famous by Rick Stein over the last 30 years or so, but there’s much more to Padstow than just great places to eat. It’s still a working harbour, it’s surrounded by glorious beaches, and offers a base to explore the Camel estuary. We recommend parking in wadebridge and walking or cycling ( great bike hire) the camel trail into Padstow ( this way you don’t have to worry about parking) & you can easily get bus back if needed. Visit the lobster hatchery if you get time .

Food scene

The food is incredible. You can walk to the falls from the hut and then enjoy a local brewed beer with amazing smoked BBQ food. They have catered for vegan and fish preferences but it is a must go for all meat lovers.

Short walk from Dowr Gwel . Amazing food with a stunning view of the moors. The people are lovely and they cater for everyone, very good veg and vegan options. Opens late in the summer. If you eat to much for lunch you can take a walk around the lake 4.5 miles and then fit in a pud. Popular with locals.

This is a wine tasting tour not to be missed. If you can book an afternoon tasting and it’s a good day you can sit in the decking and believe you are in the champagne region of France obviously the wine is better.
