Keep hiking up Johnston Canyon to get to this incredible clearing. So worth it.
I think this is the reason people actually come out west. Clear blue waters and majestic mountains. My husband proposed here.
Look into booking a shuttle. Parking is horrendous and not guaranteed to be available. Parks Canada seems to have the best rate.

After over a decade of living out here, I finally made it to Moraine. The tricky part is parking. Many times, you can drive out only to have the road blocked off and you can't even check this place out.

After over a decade of living out here, I finally made it to Moraine. The tricky part is parking. Many times, you can drive out only to have the road blocked off and you can't even check this place out.

I used to hike this beauty often when I first moved out there. I love it because I used to be able to hike up, and take the Gondola down for free. These days, everything has a cost.
