Gavrio is the port town of Andros and only 10 min drive from our villa. This is a vivid place with super markets, restaurants, cafe bars and all kind of shops. In the morning, you can buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen at the port. You can also buy meat from the local butchers and have a BBQ dinner in our villa.

Dreamy beaches

The sandy beach of Fellos is the closest beach to our villas in Andros, accessible in 15-20 min walk and in 5 minutes drive. This beach is sandy and has wonderful, crystal waters. It is not organized with sun beds , umbrellas & offers the best place for a relaxing swim.

It is located on the road to Batsi from Gavrio, only 20 min drive from our villas in Andros. The beach is very beautiful, with golden sand and warm shallow waters, therefore it is ideal for families with young children.
Zorkos beach is a non organized, large and sandy beach nestled in a beautiful bay on the northern part of the island. This beach is found almost 17 km from the port town of Gavrio.

Desserts

When referring to the gastronomy of Andros, one should first mention its desserts and especially its spoon sweets or preserves made of fruits and sugar. The most popular ones are the walnut , the bitter orange, the "rose" from rose petals, the sour cherry and the great “lemon flower” sweet. It is also worth tasting the traditional spoon sweet “pampiloni”, made from the large aromatic citrus fruit of the island, as well as the bergamot. Other famous desserts are the “Amygdalota” (made from marzipan and flower water) , “Kaltsounia”( nuts and honey filling) & "Pasteli" (sesame & walnuts).
