Very nice cafe a few blocks away. Great coffees, teas, and desserts (including gluten free or vegan). They also have nice quiche, sandwiches. On Wed nights there is singers gathering -- you can listen or join in. Sometimes they have other music or poetry reading.

Wonderful Japanese restaurant that has been in the neighborhood for many years. Nice big place with lots of choices for lunch or dinner. We love their rolls and "Ariyoshi salad".

A city park that was essentially reclaimed from a scrap heap and built by local sculptors -- right on the river. A great place to walk and check out local life and interesting sculpture. They have free yoga on Sat and Sun mornings from May thru Sept.

The museum and sculpture garden are where Noguchi had his studio. The man was a design genius as well as a master in planning. First Monday of the month is free. One of my favorite museums in all of NYC.
