Food scene

The Helderberg has plenty to offer on the food scene - from rustic pizza places to upmarket wine farms. We have it all!
Eclectic decor with delicious food. The dad used to have a scrapyard, and his special finds make up the decor. Food is amazing - great for breakfasts. Not cheap and located in the industrial area.

This farm offers a very fancy restaurant, but our favourite is the tasting room. They offer only salmon or sirloin during lunch, and both are incredible. A real spoil. Not suitable for kids - no beer or juices.

More amazing views - this upmarket wine farm offers great wines and an extensive menu. Go hungry if you're going to take the food and wine pairing option, which is a real spoil.

Filled with things nobody wants, this extremely rustic restaurant and bar offers live music on a Sunday, and is a firm favourite for locals. Always filled with interesting people, (some of whom have been for a very looong time!), the schnitzels and Schweinhaxe are legendary. Good idea to book if you want to go on a Sunday.

Perfect for everyone - great service, very reasonable wines and an extensive menu. A firm favourite for locals, and difficult to get a table whenever the sun shines. Definitely book, or you will be disappointed.

Check out when the Friday / Sunday market is open, and go early to ensure a seat. There is live music, and amazing vibe, reasonable wines and plenty of food stalls offering their wares. The restaurant at the farm is also great for a light snack, but the market is great fun!

Literally just down the road, this little courtyard pizza hotspot gets very busy. Don't forget to bring your own booze, as they're unlicenced, which is a huge drawcard for locals.

Strand beach compensates its lack of style and finesse with warmer water than the Atlantic seaboard's more trendy offerings. Great for long walks, and soaking up the sun and scenery.
