Towns.

Of course the first and the best of all Towns of Istanbul is Sultanahmet. The place where i am for almost 30 years. The place where you can find the deep peace, the footprint of old civilizations and some most important signs of humanbeing. Sultanahmet must be the base of your stay in Istanbul where all the museums and monuments are. If you stay in Sultanahmet, you don't have to take any transportation to rich the most important museums and monuments.

First of all this town has a magnificent Mosque which can be the only reason to visit and was ordered by magnificent Suleyman. Apart this it is an old Ottoman neighbourhood with typical wooden houses, nice small streets and nice restaurants where they make the most famous drybeen which is one of the most popular dish in Turkish kitchen.

EYUP AND PIERRE LOTTI HILL. Eyüp is an important town for Turkish people where an important person of Islam religion is buried, Eyyub el Ensari. The person who hosted the Islam prophet Mohammed (sav) at his house during his immigration from Mekkah to Medina. There is a nice Mosque, nice streets, nice restaurants and some small bazaars where they sell mostly religious stuff. After you finish there, take the teleferic to Pierre lotti Hill where you can have a good view of Golden horn and some parts of Istanbul. Also there are some very old cafes and restaurants where you can have really good Turkish coffee and some nice typical foods of our kitchen.

GALATA AND BEYOGLU. The cosmopolit part of Istanbul. Each city in the world has a symbol, central street. This area has the Istanbul's one called istiklal street. There are lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants and art galleries. It is a kind of meeting point of people. 24 hours alive. You can take the tram from Sultanahmet, get off in Karaköy and from there take the finuculer (the second oldest tram in the world) which has a great station and it is a good experience as well. When you get off from the finuculer you will be right in the beginning of İstiklal Street. I suggest you to walk through to the end of the street, see Taksim square and from there take the modern finuculer to Kabatas and from Kabatas the tram to Sultanahmet. It will be a good half day journey for you
