One of our favourites! Josiah is the head chef/owner and is clearly passionate about his trade. Massive smoker out back which is used daily. Food is delicious! Try the brisket (and the Bloody Mary cocktail!). About 30 minutes drive from us.

The Free House is a converted church and now a craft-beer pub. Awesome ambiance. Heated outdoor areas for chilly evenings. Great chunky chips served with your pint (or order in a curry from across the road and eat it in the pub!)

Sightseeing

Stunning scenery in every direction. It's why we live here!
The Tasman Great Taste Trail is an easy cycling trail that takes a leisurely tour of Nelson/Tasman's most beautiful coastal and inland areas. Riders will pass vineyards, breweries, orchards and no end of places to stop and enjoy some quality cuisine. As a loop the trail is 174km long, but it can easily be broken down into bite sized portions just right for short morning rides and gentle afternoon cruises. It is one of New Zealand's Great Rides.

Quite literally a 5 minute walk from our house. If you're into your cricket. This is the local place to go.
