Fly Point has some of the best snorkeling and diving in NSW. Make sure you go on high tide. There is 2 dive shops in the bay that will hire snorkelling and diving gear. The best is Feet First Dive (49842092). You can also get fish food to feed fish, please don't feed fish with bread. The fish will come around your feet whilst being feed.

Sand boarding on the dunes is must, Port Stephens 4WD tours run a shuttle bus from the lower car park at One Mile Beach, James Patterson Street. You can stay out on the dunes as long as you want, just catch shuttleback when you have enough.
