Beaches

This is definitely our family's favourite beach of the island. The reason is that it is an amazing secluded beach only a few km away from Chora. You can get there by car in about 10 minutes. But be careful! In order to access the beach you will have to climb a lot of stairs, but it's really worth it! There is a beach bar at the beach, as well as a seafood tavern on the upper end of the stairs .

If the wind is over 6 Beaufort, Chalkolimionoas is a good choice as the waters will still be calm there. It is located close to the Stavropeda area, and the street to get there is paved all the way to the beach. A big "parking area" as well a beach bar can be found there.

Small beach with amazingly clear waters! Even with over 6 Beaufort you can have a lovely swim in a calm sea. The last part of the road to this beach is not paved. Be sure to get there very early (or very late) in order to find available sunbeds at the beach bar.

This beach used to be famous of an old stranded tanker ship, which over the years has completely sunken in the sea. The last part of the road there is bumpy.

One of the most famous beaches of Andros. Pebble stones and crystal clear water. The access by car is a little difficult as over 10km of the road are unpaved and therefore bumpy. But don't worry, there are also little boats that can take you from Chora to Achla.
