A little more high-end, but ideal for a date night, this local eatery does takes the best of Canadian produce and dresses it up with French technique. Great wine list, great service and a can’t miss if you are willing to splash out a bit.

Arguably the best slice this side of the Danforth, Superpoint is a great place for lunch or dinner. They also have a full bar and patio and do some killer wine deals (for sure the best house rosé we’ve had)!

A former institution that fell the way of gentrification has been revamped by some hipster upstart chefs. Still the same greasy spoon vibe but the staff have hand tattoos. Still – can’t beat their burger or breakfast if you’ve had a late one!

Parkdale is home to a huge West Indian population and the roti here is top notch (followed closely by Island Foods up the street from Tyndall). It is also generally agreed upon that they serve Toronto’s best “double” (a delicacy you don’t ever want to live without).

As well as a West Indian population, Parkdale is also known as Little Nepal. There is a huge Tibetan population and there are a ton of great places to get you fill of Himalayan goodies. Marriages have ended over debates for who has the best momo (Nepalese dumplings), but our favorite is The Tibet Kitchen.

Our local watering hole and, in our opinion, Toronto’s best kept secret. Say "hello" to Chris the bartender/owner while you're having a beer.

Also not strictly a 10-minute walk, but a straight shot up Dufferin on Dundas, this is our favorite afternoon spot. Great coffee and beer and a fantastic patio to catch some rays and people watch.
