Great places to eat.

Great food, atmosphere and with outside tables to watch the boats come in at the Yacht Club and the sun go down in the horizon. Stop here for a drink or make the most of the lovely location with a bite to eat. Perfect for lunch or dinner. I would recommend booking a table well in advanced for dinner though as it can get very busy - but you might be lucky with getting a table outside!

Great for a spot of lunch and with ample seating out along the beach. There is a public car park just along from the restaurant, although spaces are limited and it can be a bit of a squeeze but this definitely shouldn't put you off visiting. What a location!

Day trips

A private beach with several restaurants and cafes, not far from Ventnor. As the name suggests sadly it is not pram or wheelchair friendly, but a must-see for its idyllic and tucked-away location. Great for an ice cream and photo opportunity. Steephill Cove is a proper taste of the seaside.

This lovely village has a lot to offer. Visit the harbour, lifeboat station, beach or windmill and enjoy the peace and quiet. Once a year, in the summer, the tide is low enough for the ever-popular (but unofficial) ‘Fort Walk’ event around St Helen’s Fort - just please check the tides and safety advice first!
