Neighborhoods

Kings Beach is a walkable neighborhood at the northern-most point of Lake Tahoe. It is vibrant and urban and many locals live here amongst the rental properties. Kings Beach State Park is the nearest beach. It is the largest sandy beach in North Lake Tahoe and features a playground, jet ski and kayak rentals, public restrooms, a walking path, basketball court, pier and, in the summer, live music on the beach (Fridays). There are a few restaurants, shops and a 24 hour grocer (Safeway) in town.

Bear Bear Aware

Wildlife is a key component of Tahoe’s natural ecosystem. Whether they’re in the air or down into the depths of our crystal waters, each creature is as wild and wonderful as the next. They took up residency here long before we moved in, so we want to do our part to be the best house guests. One of our most majestic residents is our beautiful bears. Bears account for some of the most prevalent wildlife sightings. They look for food in human inhabited spaces like homes and cars, so their close proximity to us is common. As they roam and co-exist in our environment. Be mindful and stay safe.

Pet Friendly Places

There are so many great, pet friendly options. Although we cannot add a website to our guidebook, you can easily find options by searching dog friendly options and "Go Tahoe North". Nearby there's the Raccoon Street Pet friendly "beach" just east of the Raccoon Street Dock at Kings Beach State Park. Many trailheads are located at the "top" of Kings Beach. Drive up Fox Street and cut in through any public egress at Speckled Street to find many trails.
