Good clear instructions for self check in. Kay’s place was a different experience with a beautiful outlook with the sun on the mountains in the morning. Unfortunately there were clouds at night and no stars to see.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was relaxing. The bed was one of the most comfortable on our month-long trip to New Zealand. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sheep. The stars were also spectacular

This is such a gem of a spot. Me and my dad stayed here during the rainiest day of summer I reckon! We arrived being wet and cold and it was so great stepping inside a warm en cosy home. The fire was lit, music as playing and there was a basket filled with food for breakie, it was great. We ended up playing heaps of games and enjoying time off-grid. Kay is a great host and was easy to contact. During the night the night sky cleared up and we had an epic view. Would def recommend staying here, it's an awesome experience.

The starry skies from the cabin is unbelievable! We loved getting “simple” and spending time off of our devices for a bit. Kay was super helpful and accommodating. The included breakfast was a treat! We could tell that she really cares about her guests.

Nice homely friend. We'll stocked kitchen with local milks eggs bottled water just about everything you would need not to mention the warm home baked bread and soft music to greet us. Loved this off the grid home. Will make a stop Everytime I'm in the area

Great place to stay off the beaten track. The cottage was lovely and the breakfast provisions were delicious and generous. Unfortunately, we did not get the opportunity to meet our hosts.

You can gaze the stars from Fiona’s place. I took some photos and was amazing. Its quite near to the town but its good to have a car to move about.

I highly recommend this beautiful cottage it’s so charming set amongst a lovely garden and tall trees with birds song all you can hear and a view of the mountains in the distance. The cottage is very well appointed and equipped for cooking, washing, relaxing and being self sufficient. The breakfast Fiona provides is delicious with eggs from her chickens, home made muesli to name just a few things. Book early to avoid disappointment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Linda’s place. The beautiful, serene, farm experience was simply delightful. With ponies, chickens, and a very friendly dog, the kids also had a fantastic experience.

Quite honestly the best Air Bnb experience we have ever had. Bindi and Steve made us feel so welcome and instantly at home. The setting is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and secluded with a really lovely atmosphere. Perfect for exploring the local Peel Forest and bird reserves. Everything we needed was available in the barn, comfy beds and great facilities. It’s an ideal retreat to get away for a few days and relax. We will definitely be back!

Quiet comfortable cottage with lovely rural mountain views . The breakfast was tasty, complete with fresh eggs. A great place to relax and recharge in an area we had never been... very pretty. Nick went through a lot of trouble to ready the outdoor fire bath which is set in private bush. Great for a relaxing soak and a bit of star gazing.

Everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Lots of space, quiet and fully equipped.

The landlord was just too good. We returned to catch the epidemic. We were worried about the safety of looking for masks on the road. Before the masks we bought were mailed to us, the landlord gave us our own masks. I went to my office to find one more for children, which is really enthusiastic.

Great place to stay just outside Geraldine. Beautiful view of snow capped mountains out the window. Lots of facilities and extras. So easy to organise. All went well.

The Isle is a divine place to stay and Ross and Rosie such welcoming hosts. I had the best nights sleep whilst staying I had had since coming to NZ. They were able to suggest and organise activities which were really helpful and appropriate for our family.

5 star accommodation I've never stayed in such a beautiful home before. Loved the animals, the gardens were stunning and there was a great spread for breakfast. I'm pretty down to earth so the style was a bit elegant for my tastes but I couldn't fault a thing. Ross and Rosie were excellent hosts - very accommodating and happy to help with anything we needed.

Extremely fantastic bnb! First of all, I must say the farm and house are amazing and definitely the style I like! And those are cosy, tidy and peaceful. Secondly, Ross and Rosie are super kindful and friendly! Ross took us to see their horses and special sheep, the ones with brown hair. The two dogs are also very cute and friendly, we enjoyed time with them! Rosie prepared breakfast for us, we just like a family and enjoy the breakfast time! These short words can hardly express my unforgettable memories of these days and my love for them. I hope I can still have the chance to live here in the future. Highly recommended!

Great place: we thoroughly enjoyed the calm and the romantism of the place. The rooms are beautifully arranged. We also had a great moment visiting the farm with Ross. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and a true moment of conviviality. We would definitly come back.

Ross and Rosie are outstanding hosts- we have 2 kids and they pulled out all the stops to make them feel comfortable- Rosie had prepared a cot and little jumpers for the kids in case they got cold, and even had decorative soap and little toys in the bathroom ready. The little ones made a mess of the bathroom the first day but Ross was really understanding. Overall we had a great time feeding the horses and playing with the dogs- the kids definitely miss their Uncle Ross and Aunt Rosie already.

One of our best airbnb experience in NZ. Ross and Rosie are super helpful and friendly, the rooms are elegantly decorated, spacious and sparkling clean. We had a lovely breakfast while they gave us heaps of local travel tips. Ross showed us around the huge and beautiful garden and the friendly animals. We left happily and look forward to stay here again when travelling to Geraldine next time!

Ricky (Erica) & Andrew's place has everything needed and more. They provided cereal for breakfast, tea, coffee, milk and orange juice. On arrival there were chocolate chip cookies waiting. I used their washing machine and line. I particularly like ths added touch of a bathrobe. The studio apartment is separate from their house but you can still enjoy their alpacas, dog, cattle and horse. A quiet location in ideal setting.

We had a wonderful stay at Ricky & Andrews place. Handy to town in a beautiful rural setting and can highly recommend for a stay, the hospitality is great and communication easy.

Clean and tidy. Host very friendly. Using the sofa bed (2nd bed) is a bit tight but manageable. Ricky bakes excellent cookies!

Wauw, what an amazing place to stay! It’s very clean and bigger then we expected. The bed is amazing and Ricky and Andrew are really nice hosts. They even helped us with our laundry. They put it in there dryer because it was still wet. Very helpful and kind people and the place is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend!!

This is a lovely place, well set-up with all comforts and most conveniences. The setting is very peaceful, yet close to town. Gerry and Ali are great hosts, and their black Labrador dog Meg is super friendly.

The Snug is a fabulous place to stay. Super comfy bed, great wee kitchenette and awesome shower. We will certainly be staying again next time we visit Geraldine. Gerry is a wonderful host.

We were so pleased we found Snuggle Inn available at such short notice. It’s a beautiful spot and very comfortable and charming ‘Snuggle Inn’. Gerry was a great host. Very friendly, communicative and hospitable. We enjoyed chatting and the loan of his New Zealand birds book. You will not be disappointed staying at Snuggle Inn.

Gerry’s place is one not to be miss! It is superbly clean, extremely comfortable and is located in the peaceful surroundings of a beautiful garden. We were met with great friendliness. Booking was easy and very quick. The location is ideal to enjoy both the town and surrounding countryside. Excellent! Gerry is a super host!

A wonderful, great value stay. Looking out over beautiful gardens whilst patting the most affectionate dog, Meg. The snug is roomy, clean, well designed and very comfy.

Gerry's place is a jewel of an Airbnb just outside Geraldine and conveniently located if you want to explore the area. The place is finished to a very high standard and you will find all you need to spend a relaxing time. We loved strolling around the garden, looking at the cows and the vegetable garden and of course playing with Megs, the lovely Labrador, who is a real star. We would highly recommend Gerry's place.

We loved staying here. Sorry we didn't stay more days. Margaret really created a wonderful, spacious, yet cozy place to relax. Spotless with nice amenities. Loved the chocolate chip cookies. She and her husband were delightful to talk to and helpful. And, getting to see the amazing garden was a plus. Highly recommended. Would stay again if we're in the area.

The unit was clean and comfortable and Margaret had added thoughtful touches such as providing board games, playing cards, etc. as there was no TV. Recommended.

Margaret’s “The Studio” was a great find for us. From a warm welcome to a fond farewell every aspect of our stay was outstanding. The Studio is spacious, impeccably clean and meticulously provided for. We appreciated the excellent quality furniture and the very comfortable bed with beautiful, crisp sheets, the well equipped kitchen and bathroom, great breakfast, great lighting, a library of books, most beautiful garden, etc. We wish we could have stayed longer. And the town of Geraldine is cute too!

Margaret’s studio in Geraldine was the perfect location for us. The studio was welcoming, clean and nicely decorated. We appreciated the comfortable bed and nice linen. We enjoyed the continental breakfast supplies- a great start to our morning.

This is easily one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in. The cottage is really well equipped (it even had a nespresso machine!) and Ange gave us such a warm welcome, with a beautiful hamper (it even had chocolate in it!!!) and some tips for our onward travels. The farm setting is just beautiful, especially with the deer, and so peaceful, with a stunning view of the mountains. The silence at night was blissful and we all slept soundly in the lovely comfortable beds. Our only complaint was that we were only staying one night. Our itinerary didn’t allow it but we would have loved to stay longer. The kids loved the little climbing frame in the garden, and Ange kindly said they could use the trampoline and bikes in the farmhouse garden. We would love to come back one day!

Angela is a kind and thoughtful host. We loved the welcome hamper of fruit, yoghurt, croissants, etc. Angela answered all our questions promptly. The location is very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable house, I really want to live like this ...

This is a natural and comfortable property. The price is low, but it provides milk, yogurt, fruit, bread, and so on. It is good for those who value price inefficiency.

The host was very enthusiastic, picked us up by bicycle, and answered questions carefully. I also prepared a full basket of food, which is the best kitchen I have ever lived in, because there are many spices. The sheep raised by the landlord was particularly cute, and unfortunately did not take her to take a picture.

We loved our stay at Rosemary Cottage. The cottage is set in an amazing garden setting and is decorated beautifully. We also enjoyed the breakfast, Janey’s home baking and the native birds. We went into town for dinner, which only takes a few minutes. Janey and David are excellent hosts. A great Airbnb. Thanks Liz and Warwick

Janey was friendly and made sure to come and talk to us. The place was even better than in the pictures, and Janey was very welcoming. It is a charming cottage out in the countryside of New Zealand. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Janey's place is a delightful cottage in a peaceful garden setting. There is a very comfortable bed, separate bathroom, & a spacious living room plus kitchen for simple cooking with covered, outdoor BBQ area. There are nearby choices for eating out in Geraldine, local shops to browse in & good walks. The cottage is an easy 1 hour + drive from Christchurch. We enjoyed our night there & wished we could have stayed longer.

I stayed over at Judith's for one night. I can not fault my stay. I had a "room with a view" because from the patio area, I had an excellent view of the beautiful landscape outside the building. My room was kept clean and tidy but more importantly I had a good nights sleep! I recommend Judith's place to anyone who is seeking a comfortable stop-over in the heart of Geraldine.

This stay has been one of the highlights of my holiday and should be ten stars. Hosts are really lovely- made me feel like one of the family. The house/farm a couple of minutes from town centre is luxurious with lovely big guest room, own bathroom & toilet. Graham gave me the buggy tour checking on the deer, cows, sheep, goat and fruit trees. Great little town with unusual picture theatre and well worth staying here before or after visiting Lake Tekapo.

We really enjoyed the hospitality, the comfort of both the home and our room. Judith was away and Graham took great care of us with the help of Bobby the cat and Millie the dog. The sunrise was incredible! Totally recommend this beautiful tranquil place.

Jenny's airbnb listing is right up there with the best I have stayed in ever. Jenny is a warm hearted host, she is very obliging and makes you feel really welcome. The room has nice personal touches, a very comfortable bed and pillows plus an excellent shower. Breakfast was generous and filling. In addition her home has a lovely well cared for garden and parking is private off street. You won't do better than this in Geraldine for hospitality and value. Highly recommended.

A peaceful and quiet stay at this comfortable and nicely appointed house. A very sweet dog and friendly horse will greet you as you arrive. Beware, the sweet dog is a charming beggar!! She returned as we were eating dinner on the deck and I will admit, it was impossible to ignore those sweet puppy-dog eyes. (Apologies to Jo for spoiling Sweet Dog’s diet/appetite.) This place reminded me of the farm I grew up on near Newton, Kansas, USA. Loved hearing the cows lowing as they settled down for the night. Between the BBQ grill, hot plate, toaster oven, kettle, and toaster...you really have everything you need to create a meal. The fresh milk and cereal options were very much appreciated. Nice to have a washer and drying line too. Quiet and dark at night — great for sleeping! This stay was a much needed break during our two week road trip through the South Island.

Had a comfortable stay at Joanne’s place. The place was really clean and we got a good feel for a farm house. Was an excellent place to relax. Would highly recommend if you are looking to get a good farm house experience.

The cutest little cottage! If you love animals, this is for you! Was greeted by two beautiful horses and meg the puppy! Nice walk up the hill and you can see a great view and some sheep. The cottage was clean, comfy and the bed was super comfortable!

Lovely modern spacious suite on a hill. Owners very amicable and helpful. Fed the piggies, and examined the monarch caterpillars and butterflies! 2 Queen Beds were extra comfy, friendly high caliber place!

Lovely, peaceful spot and great 20 minute (if you're relatively fit, bit more if not) walk through the forest to/from town if you desire. Great to have the chance to interact with the various animals too.

We had a great stay (albeit only overnight) at this modern and spacious property off the beaten path in Geraldine, a picturesque farming town where everyone really seems to enjoy the quiet life. The private space afforded to guests is ample with a gorgeous bathroom; the shower had excellent water pressure. The beds in both rooms were excellent. Each room has its own sliding door out onto the patio where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet with a book and a beverage. We had a tour of the expansive property in the morning, seeing the vegetable garden and the llamas, alpacas and pig (though the mysterious baby piglet did not make an appearance). The location of this property is great as you're 45 minutes from quaint Fairlie and just under 90 away from the stunning vistas of Lake Tekapo. I highly recommend this place for shorter stays and would be happy to come back.

We were really happy to stay here. The rooms and bathroom are large, very clean With a lot of privacy. Jo was very friendly. Because we liked it here, we booked 2 extra nights! We recomment this places for everybody who likes a quiet ans peacefull stay, out of the town but close enough to Reich it by car!

Wonderful place to stay. Glorious setting. Very well appointed unit. Shady outside seating in the early evening( though you could easily move into the sun). Lovely garden and beautiful views. Such a friendly and accommodating family. Although there is no kitchen in the unit we were very grateful to be able to use the BBQ and everything we needed was provided. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I loved my stay here, the house & the views are stunning. There’s plenty of walks on your doorstep and if that’s not for you it’s less than 5 minutes drive to town. The guest wing was spotless and has everything you’d need. I’d highly recommend staying with Jo and Pete.

At the private ranch on the hill, the landlord was very nice. He not only took us to visit his more than ten classic cars, but also fed us his pets. The washing machine and clothes dryer are also very powerful, especially recommended

We enjoyed having a home away from home for two nights here. Very clean, lots of space, and all the amenities you could ask for! Fabulous find.

I cant say enough about this place, clean, comfortable, all the facilities one requires and more. My only disappointment was we only could manage one night. Its definitely a place to stay for much longer. Next time this will be the case.

Willowbrook is a lovely older style farmhouse, a little piece of history set in beautiful gardens with friendly and thoughtful hosts.

If you're looking for somewhere situated in a beautiful location that is extremely quiet, with a lovely outlook then this is the place for you. The accommodation offers privacy, bags of character and plenty of original features. If you want peace and solitude then this is the place for you.

beautiful old cottage surrounded by a huge, wonderful garden. We were just three people so we had almost too much space. I would recommend this cottage to everyone who loves nature and vintage style accomedation. We almost felt set back into the past but in a very positiv meaning. That there was no mobile network connection made it very relaxing. We would definetly come again.

Claire's place was immaculately clean with a well equipped spacious kitchen, very quiet and had everything we needed.

Awesome holiday house, spacious and well-equipped with a lovely enclosed garden and deck area. Comfortable beds and large kitchen and bathroom (with a bath!) Lovely renovated 3 bedroom cottage,in a quiet area.Has all the amenities such as full size fridge,full size oven,washing machine ,bath,etc.Good off street parking.Great base for visiting Mount Cook,Tekapo,etc.Short stroll to Geraldine cafes,supermarket .Barkers new operation is a must see.

This was my second stay with Doug and Daphne. Didn't bother to consider the alternatives after my last stay 3.5 years ago. As before, exactly what I wanted. Clean, quiet, comfortable and hospitable.

Wonderful stay! A lovely home with gardens and very close to town. We only had a one night stop over but would have loved to stay longer. Doug & Daphne were delightful hosts and we really enjoyed chatting with them. They stay in the other side of the house and leave you to your privacy but are available if any questions and we felt very welcome. We walked to the cute little town for dinner and it was very close which was so great. The bed was very comfy, a nice large bathroom, and they had a little tea/coffee station that was set up for guests in the hall we used that was great. I loved the fresh cut roses on the bedside too—all very lovely touches. The continental breakfast with the hosts in the morning was delicious! Highly recommend, we will visit again if back in town. thank you Doug & Daphne!

Doug and Daphne welcomed us into their family be it for just one night! They are incredibly nice people with big and kind hearts! Their house is beautiful and inviting. The continental breakfast they prepare and serve is delicious especially the homemade preserved summer fruits and jams. They also have the nicest shower ever!! We would love to stay with them and enjoy their fun company again!

Peter and Janine’s place is just lovely, beautiful spot and the location is beautiful, very clean and tidy and they are just lovely. They kindly took us in last minute and were so accommodating. Overall was such a lovely experience, thank you.

Had such a lovely respite in Peter and Janine's cabin. We'd had somewhere cancel last minute and they took us with only an hours notice and amazing hospitality. It's a really quiet and stylish spot with everything you need for a few nights though we only stayed the one to our regret. Beautiful garden and they've got lots of local tips and info to share. Really fantastic value and would highly recommend to anyone!

Brilliant home, brilliant location , extra brilliant hosts!

The owner provides an elegant and comfortable resting place for the tenant, and the owner's thoughtfulness and intentions can be seen everywhere. The questions from the tenants were warm and caring responses from the owners, and they also allowed the tenants to interact with the cute alpaca up close. Everyone is recommended to visit!

Tommy’s place is much better than it’s presented in the pictures. Guest Room is clean and comfy with a good view. The fluffy alpacas are so friendly and cute. Tommy even provided us the feed for the lovely creatures, allowing us to play with them for an extended period of time and making the overall experience one of our best in the South Island.

Very friendly couple host, we talked about a lot of interesting New Zealand life content, quiet town, very clean rooms, and provided warm help for our confusion. Tommy took us to interact with the grass mud horse in the sunset.

The host is a little brother from Hong Kong. The couple is warm and hospitable. They also invited us to have dinner together, so that we who have eaten burger pizza for many days have a friendly Chinese food. The food I ate were all grown by the landlord, who also brought us cute alpaca. The scenery is particularly good. It is located on the top of the mountain. It is a leisurely idyllic scenery for planting vegetables and flowers, raising chickens and sheep. Particularly suitable for enjoying a slow-paced life.

Would recommend this place to any one who is passing through. The house is stunning and completely clean. Tommy and Karen are so welcoming and open. It is the perfect place to get a good nights rest, relax in the view and get up close to some cute alpacas.

Lisa is a perfect host. We loved our stay with her. The equipment, the place, the bed, the dishes. Everything is ideal for having a good time! Great stop off on the way to the lakes Kaths place is very clean and tidy and very easy to self check in. We cooked dinner and sat in the garden it was lovely. Comfortable bed and quiet room, highly recommend for a stop over 2 minutes from the town with lots of restaurants and shops.

Perfect stay. We had a lovely talk in the morning with a super friendly Annette and she gave us good advice where to eat in the evening. Easy communication and check in. The space is a separate bedroom from the main house hence gives you privacy. It's just a short distance from town. The hosts Dione and Duncan were so nice and hospitable. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent time there from the beginning. Dione welcomed us and we had a really nice talk and she even took some time to help us for the visit of the Geraldine observatory, we really much appreciated that. The room is super cosy with all that is needed for your stay and we even had everything for the breakfast with juice and homemade cereals. Super quiet place, we enjoyed a lot our meals just outside the room with nature sounds around. Highly recommended!!

Dione & Duncan’s private studio is lovely—clean & well designed with thoughtful touches, a sofa, and a nice outdoor seating area with a beautiful view of their backyard. Dione & Duncan greeted us warmly and offered us many tips for our travels through beautiful New Zealand. We definitely recommend staying here!

Very nice, comfortable and clean room with an en-suite bathroom. Great shower. Lovely quiet property close to town. Dion and Duncan are great hosts very helpful and with great knowledge of the area. Day trips to lake Tekapo and Pukaki are easily done from their place.

Such a lovely and cosy place to stay. Sue has been a great host and gave us a warm welcome. The room is really clean and nice and you get rewarded with an amazing view :)! The bathroom was just perfect and provided everything needed after a long day of traveling. Also the hosts welcomed us with beer and tea/coffee! We can definitely recommend to stay at Sue’s place and spend a few days in a relaxing surrounding.

Sue and David have been wonderful hosts. We were stranded because of the weather, their hospitality exceeded our expectations. Organic eggs are one of the highlights.

Hilary's place is a great small house for a holiday. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A good kitchen (with dishwasher) and the living room has air con for the summer. There were items such as cereals, coffee, tea available and spreads and milk in the fridge. It is close to the supermarket, Running Duck cafe, main street and pool.

This was a great place to stay while traveling through the area. Close to the local cafes and restaurants and very comfortable. We slept very well in the comfy beds!

Hilary's house is very cosy and stylish with lots of decorations. Continental breakfast is stored in the cupboard and fridge. the house is super clean and has full bloom flowers in the backyard. we would highly recommend her place.

Hillary's place is very spacious and located right in the centre of town. The house is equipped with everything you need and even has a private garage linked to the house which makes unloading of luggages very convenient. The Master bedroom is large and comfortable. I would recommend Hillary's place without a doubt.

It was all just as you would expect a homestay in an Idela case.

Judith and Graham are such lovely couple. They are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room is big and spacious and we had a shared bathroom. You can hear noises coming from the other room otherwise the place is very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay at this place again.

I absolutely loved my stay with Paulette and Craig. Nice simple room with comfortable bed. Great kitchen set up and good bathrooms. Loved the communal areas.. extremely welcoming and homely.
