Jill and Steve are the best hosts! They welcomed us with a delicious cake and specific transportation instructions. When we left the house to another city, they also tried their best to offer the help. Given the room, it was very well equipped, extremely tidy and cozy. Its location is perfect as well, not far from the city centre but also let visitors enjoy the scenery of the countryside. Highly recommended!

I've had a lovely time in York staying at Squirrel Nest. Really appreciated the homemade cake. It's tasty! Squirrel Nest is the most tastefully decorated apartment I've stayed in. Stunning view, peaceful and elegant.

This was a great experience. The apartment was in a really nice location. It had everything we needed available. We could have arrived and quite happily lived there for a month or more it was that well equipped. Everything had be thought about. The apartment was modern, made fantastic use of space and was really nicely furnished.

We had a brilliant time staying in a fantastically well thought out nest. Extremely comfortable and relaxing with the extra treats of homemade cake, plus eggs and honey courtesy of the local wildlife! Very convenient for York with Harrogate not too far away. We will definitely be staying again.

We loved welcoming in the new year from the apartment! We had intended to go out, but we loved it so much we decided to eat in and watch the fireworks over York from the balcony. The place is beautifully decorated and to a very high standard. It is warm, homely and peaceful and the kitchen is excellently equipped. It took us 11 mins (Sat nav!) to drive into York. If it were warmer and not icey, we'd have cycled as it would have been a lovely ride in and parking in York is pricey. Little touches, like the honey from the bees, and a gluten free cake (I'd mentioned to Jill in advance that I was gluten free) upon arrival, made us feel really welcome. would highly recommend to anyone!

Anyone visiting York won't find a better place to stay than Squirrel Nest. It is a hidden gem surrounded by tranquil countryside. The hosts are helpful but not intrusive and the homemade cake and fresh laid eggs a lovely touch. The decor is e exquisite and the personal decorative touches make the apartment a special place to be. Truly a jewel of a place to stay!

Hosts where there upon our arrival and gave us the guided tour of this amazing flat. Not too far away from the city centre but yet the feeling of the Yorkshire country this was exactly what we was looking for. The latest eco friendly kit out, the beautiful layout makes the flat seem big and spacious. IMO this is better than a 5* hotel, full privacy, no noisy traffic whizzing by, a comfortable bed with an amazing shower. A cute kitchen as well for those who want to cook in the flat along with a table and chair set that fits in perfectly. Want my advice? book this, you wont regret it and find yourself returning again! Our first experience with airbnb has left us with a thirst for more!!

Wow! Greeted by a Penny who kindly helped my daughter and me with luggage, presented with a bottle of wine, organic milk, yoghurt and meusili and even scrummy popcorn. The newly laid carpet bounced under our feet, the immaculate white kitchen was a joy to work and sit. The lounge area is so comfortable with its padded cushions, comfy woolly blanket and side table, it was difficult to tear ourselves away and go sightseeing. The comfy Queen sized bed with its crisp white cotton sheets and duvet provided an excellent night's sleep at the end of of a hard days sightseeing. Penny, a wonderful hostess has thought of everything; magazines, games, books, TV and little touches like soaps, body gels, gleaming white cotton towels....we were sad that we had no tine to enjoy the cosy windowed dining room. Given an opportunity, we'll definitely be back!

Perfection I am amazed with how wonderful this apartment is and it's location. Penny is thee best hostess! Communication with from the start was great, so welcoming. Penny's personal touch of a Betty's Fat Rascal (my favourite) just blew me away. The apartment is beautifully decorated. So clean. Gorgeous bath products. Super comfy bed with wonderful bed linen. The attention to detail is none other! Location is fab, only 2 mins walk and you're in the centre of Harrogate. There's is nothing that I can fault about this apartment. It was a little piece of perfection in Harrogate. I recommend staying here and will definitely return.

What a lovely clean fresh apt. Anyone staying here will be spoilt by its location right opposite Valley Gardens. And only a 2 minute walk to the shops and famous Brett's. don't let the stairs put you off the exercise will do you good and the views are lovely.

Probably the best or one of the best apartments I have stayed in for airbnb. Spotless, modern, cozy, and as though it was built/renovated last week. Quality linen and towels were the icing ok the cake.

Really stylish flat which is decorated to a very high standard, in the heart of Harrogate - a lovely place to completely relax. Penny is a great host who added lots of lovely little touches to the flat to make it extra special and recommended plenty of places to eat and drink locally which was really helpful. Quiet residential area which suited me as I had much work to do assisted with good wifi connectivity. The flowers, bread, milk, biscuits and nibbles were all a welcome sight on arrival. The parking permit was appreciated and there was always somewhere to park my car close-by. Heather communicated with us very well and provided detailed instructions on how to access the apartment, use of the parking permit (provided) and other general information relating to our stay. The apartment was in a quiet street and well positioned for exploring the area. Heather provided some basic food supplies for us and this was very welcome. I've stayed at Ruth's place before and it was just as lovely. Quiet, in a safe area close to shops and cafes. Its self-contained, and private. I'd definitely stay again when I'm in Harrogate.

Ruth was there on arrival and showed me to the flat, which was clean and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped, shower/bathroom good and the bed was comfortable. Wifi was available which helped with keeping in touch with family and colleagues as my mobile phone signal was weak in the flat outside good. My days at the flat were comfortable and close to where I needed to be. The shops and restaurants were just a walk away.

This is a lovely self contained flat about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Harrogate, with free on road parking. I very much enjoyed my stay, and I'm planning on returning next year.

I stayed in Ruth's flat as I was exhibiting at a trade show for a few days and it was ideal for my needs. The flat is on a lovely road in easy walking distance to the town with plenty of free parking outside. The instructions were all clear and you could set the central heating to come on and go off as you wished. All was clean and cosy and would definitively stay again. Thank you Ruth!

Stayed here for three nights over the Christmas period. Everything was as described by the host and was very cosy. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone as it is located on a quite street within 10 minutes walking distance from the town centre. Great value for money.

The place is located in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance to the city centre. Nice, well decorated flat with all basic amenities available. The only problem is the flat can get quite chilly during the night when the central heating is switched off so make sure you use the electric heater provided. Overall, I did enjoy my stay in Harrogate in Ruth's flat.

Anthea is a busy mum but took time to make us feel welcome and was happy to answer any questions I had. The place was clean, tidy, secure, amply sized and well equipped - ideal for what we needed. There was a little noise from upstairs but only during the day, so not an issue. Would definitely stay again. It is well located and close to a supermarket.

Anthea's place is exactly as described. Was cosy and warm (even with snow outside!). Well equipped kitchen and hot shower. Good value all round.

Great little ensuite apartment. Far enough away from city bustle to be quiet, but close enough to walk to everything. Very clean and comfy. Anthea was great answering any questions that I had and even loaned me an electrical adapter when I learned I'd brought the wrong one. The wifi is a bit slow, but better after everyone upstairs goes to bed. Like other posters, there is quite a bit of overhead noise during the morning and evening hours. Sounds like a herd of elephants actually. Didn't really bother me in particular, but it might be an issue for others. Would stay here again if I ever find myself back in Harrogate.

Anthea has a great apartment. Location is spot on near the Cold Bath Road and walkable to all Harrogate has to offer. Anthea was extremely fast with email replies when booking and check in was so simple. All in all, a great apartment, spotlessly clean, amazing location and a really friendly welcome. What more is needed!

This is in a great location for visiting Harrogate, being less than a 15 minute walk away from the town centre and within walking distance of Harlow Carr. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed is comfortable. Anthea very kindly accommodated our late arrival. Being a basement apartment, light levels are low but if you are out and about all day this doesn't matter. As other reviews have said, noise from upstairs is audible, but again, if out all day, it doesn't impact too much.

Harrogate is a lovely picturesque town with great places to explore, eat and drink. Anthea's flat was well located to do all this at an affordable price. The comfortable and well equipped self - catering apartment is beneath a family house with young children, although accessed via separate entrance to the side /rear of property. Anthea was a good host for our short visit.

The apartment was very clean, the shower/ tub very good, the bed large and comfortable. Despite being a half basement, it was surprisingly bright. Athena kindly allowed an early check in for us to drop our bags. The location was easy walking distance to conference centre, town centre, train station (15 to 20 minutes), and very short walk to grocery store. We were able to prepare our evening meals. Coffee and tea provided and much appreciated. The Internet was a bit iffy the first evening, but Athena was able to help with this. She and Stuart are great hosts, helpful and responsive, living in the main part of the house, yet we had complete privacy. We enjoyed the pitter-patter of feet above us in the evenings! A lovely ground floor apartment situated fifteen minute walk away from Harrogate town centre. Situated in a quiet road with ample street parking it was a great base to explore the delights of Harrogate and it's beautiful surroundings. All facilities were clean, well equipped and easy to find and use. Communication with Paul was just great and was very prompt. All in all highly recommended.

Perfect space for 2 of us to stay whilst visiting family in Harrogate. The walk to town took us about 15-20 min and was a really pleasant route. The flat was comfortable, clean and on a nice quiet street.

Perfect place to stay if visiting Harrogate or the exhibition centre. Really clean, lovely decor, very comfy. Definitely will stay there again if we do more exhibitions. As you'd expect in such a central location there's always a little evening noise but worth it for the stay. There's handy key free access to the flat and some super little touches inside (including a very fancy kettle we loved). Hosts were accommodating and helpful - overall Highly recommended!

The room is clean and have everything you wanted. The location is not in the city center but can take taxi and bus for just 5 mins.

It was so nice to stay in a small flat that belongs to yourself. Everything is new and clean. It takes only ten more minutes to city center by bus. Imran is a considerate host and responses fast. Would recommend to stay here.

Imran was most certainly an exceptional host and as a last minute booking his response rate and standard of communication was great throughout my stay. Imran ensured that there was enough electricity for my stay as well as went out to get a wifi hub at the last minute as there were unforeseen issues with the current internet availability. The listing description was accurate and the pictures are an exact illustration of the place. The place is clean, fresh, very welcoming as well as secure. The neighbourhood was quiet, safe and not very far from local shops and the city centre. There is plenty of parking space on the street however a parking permit is required.

Maria is a lovely host and the accommodation just a short walk into town. The flat is quiet with a very comfortable bathroom. Shame I never got the time to try out that deep bath. Recommended.

The location of this property was superb. The flat is just opposite a beautiful park, and literally a short walk from the centre of Harrogate. We had a great meal at Luigi's which is at the end of the block. Maria very kindly allowed us to leave our car in her parking space all Saturday, which was a brilliant help. The bed was really cosy and comfortable!

Maria is a friendly host who made us feel very welcome for our two night stay. Her flat faces a lovely park in central Harrogate. The central positon is perfect and you are less than a 10 minute walk to local attractions and the town centre. A Wetherspoon's pub is also about 10 minutes walk from the flat and is a useful venue for breakfast. Maria also provided us with a car parking space outside the flat for which we are grateful. As well as a bedroom you also have a private bath / shower room.

The Garden Room is a real gem of a place to stay. It is beauitfully finished and well looked after. The Garden Room had everything you might need for an over night or a five night stay. The host have tea/coffee/scones/chocolates waiting for you on arrival The place is situated in a quiet traditional Yorkshire village. The hosts are very helpful and prompt in replying.

This couldn't have been better for us. A beautiful private space in a gorgeous Yorkshire location, close to so many areas of interests and villages. We ate out and shopped all within a short driving distance of the location. The accommodation was of the highest quality I've stayed in, with a comfy double bed, a kitchen and dinette where we had breakfasts, and dinners in, and a sofa and tv to relax. Everything a tourist needs to know about Yorkshire can be found in the comprehensive guides pack left by the hosts. The little garden was an added bonus and allowed us to spot some local wildlife. We will definitely return.

Karen and Andrew were lovely hosts, the place was immaculate and so many little details which really made for a pleasant trip. They really had thought of everything and it was completely self contained. The view out the back across fields is stunning - I hope to return!

We enjoyed our stay so much. We found the apartment very well equiped with all the necessities. It was beautifully spacious yet cosy with some lovely furnishings. My boys loved the bunk bed, the crib was handy and we all enjoyed a fabulous nights sleep! The garden was so beautiful to look out onto and my boys loved the stream and the secret garden. We were very impressed with how pristine the apartment was (which is a big deal for us), the bathroom and kitchen were gleaming! Thank you so much! We will most definitely be booking here again when we next visit.

A beautiful, spacious, self contained flat with beautiful views of the garden. Gillian is a lovely host and couldn't have been any more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, lovely lovely lady. We stayed with our toddler and she loved the space. We walked into Harrogate (about 15-20 minutes) and Gillian kindly offered a stroller for our toddler. Anything we needed she was just a message/ phone call away. If the weather has have been better we would have spent time out in the beautiful garden with a stream running through, but instead we enjoyed the views of it from the sitting room.

Gillian's apartment is delightful: it is spacious, light, and has great views onto a beautifully maintained garden. The garden features a small wooden bridge over a stream and, at the time of our visit, had an array of bluebells growing in it, all of which gives it a very tranquil feel. The apartment is well equipped, tastefully furnished, and was spotlessly clean for our visit. We were travelling with our nine month old daughter and, very helpfully, Gillian was able to provide us with a cot, in addition to the changing unit that is stationed there. There was plenty of space for our daughter to play in in the apartment. It is located on a quiet and smart residential street, just a couple of minutes' walk from Hornbeam Park station, which made it very easy for journeys that we had to make to Leeds and York (in addition to our activities in Harrogate). We will look forward to returning when we are next back in Harrogate and in need of accommodation.

We had a lovely stay at Gillian's property. Situated in a really nice neighbourhood of a lovely town, the private access to the ground floor flat was perfect for our family of four. There was plenty of space, and the second bedroom with bunk beds was great for our children (4&6), with doors to the reception rooms, kitchen, bathroom and master bedroom.

What a wonderful weekend we had here at Gillian's home. Although we didn't meet her in person this time we hope to stay again one day and meet her then. Gillian' s communication and hospitality was fantastic. There were extra little touches that you don't normally see but were so very welcome. My son loved playing in the beautiful garden and the house itself is gorgeous. Perfect for a family.

Gillian's place was clean, well-stocked and had a fantastic garden. We were travelling with two small children, and the flat was incredibly family friendly. We were able to stroll into the town centre in about 10 minutes. Gillian herself was warm and accommodating. We'd definitely stay in her place again!

We had a great stay at Liz's apartment - it's a lovely, clean, modern and well equipped place - perfect for a few days' visit to Leeds. Fantastic location in residential suburb 4 miles north of the centre of Leeds. The accommodation was absolutely first class. The apartment was the ground floor of a lovely victorian house that had been renovated to a very high standard. It consisted of a living room, bedroom, fully fitted kitchen, and w/c/ wet room. Liz had left plenty of essentials in the fridge so if one arrived late one could make a snack. Everything was perfect

When I went to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) directions as I didn't have internet while walking there, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) took me to the wrong place. Make sure when you search, you see it across an alley/small road from Five Guys. Once I had the correct directions, it was easy to find. The location is very close and convenient to downtown.

The Hub is the perfect base to enjoy a fantastic town. It is everything the details say and more. The rooms are all a good size and are clean and tidy. The bed is ridiculously comfy, was thinking whether I could strap it to the roof of the car and bring it home!! The flat is kitted out with all the essentials whether you are using as a base or treating like your own home. Would definitely stay there again!

The Hub is a great spot to stay and explore Harrogate. Right in the centre of town with good restaurants and shops on your door step. Harrogate is lovely town.

This was a truly wonderful apartment to experience the delights of Harrogate from. You won't find anywhere more central or stylish than Robert's lovely little home from home. The apartment is just beautiful, it has a very cosy feel about it. There isn't a thing I would change, it's in a perfect location. Tesco literally a minutes walk, coffee shops, bakerys, takeaways all within minutes of the apartment. And then a 5 minute walk to the some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. We had a slight issue when first arriving at the apartment, I couldn't get the pin code to work but literally within a few minutes of contacting Mark, the problem was solved. Would absolutely recommend the apartment.

Me and 3 of my friends spent 3 nights in Mark's apartment and it was fab! Great location, enough space for all of us and lovely little flat. Mark was great with communication and questions especially when we had random issues with doors and was a great help. Would recommend and stay again. Thanks Mark

Grace is a lovely host, friendly and she bought an Easter egg, which was a pleasant surprise to my check in. The bed is comfortable and a nicely decorated room, nearby restaurants within walking and a 10 minute drive into the centre of Leeds.

Grace's apartment was in a great location, spacious, clean and comfortable. I was staying for a few nights for work and getting into the city was really easy. Grace was very welcoming and I would highly recommend her as a host.

Its warm , clean , stylish , quiet , and close to local , great pubs , cafes , and restaurants . Can't go wrong staying here

Fantastic flat in the centre of Chapel Allerton. Grace and Emilio are wonderful hosts.

Excellent value for money and exactly as advertised. Grace and her partner were really welcoming and helpful on arrival. Knowing Chapel Allerton well, it was perfectly located to nearby shops cafes bars etc. I'd definitely book again on next trip.

Fantastic place and a fantastic stay

Fiona was extremely accommodating, especially when our 4 hour journey to her ended up being an epic 7 hours! Fiona made sure we had everything we needed for our late night arrival and greeted us the next day to ensure we had everything we needed. We were staying for the Leeds festival and her local knowledge was extremely valuable. Including the provision of towels for the mud! Fiona's recommendations of where to shop and eat out were acceptional. We couldn't have wished for a more comfortable stay in her very spacious beach themed annex. We'd recommend staying here.

Fiona and her family were very friendly, polite, and welcoming, very quick to supply us with any thing that we requested. The house is very clean and private.

Fiona made me feel very welcome and was at all times helpful and friendly. The annex was well appointed and was very comfortable with everything I needed. It was also nice to have a small seating area in the garden. The annex was also spotlessly clean. The area was very convenient for Leeds and not to far from the motorway. I would certainly recommend.
