Alan and Melanie's place is very cosy and stylish - exactly as depicted in the advert. I loved the idea of adapting a walk in wardrobe into a mini kitchenette- it made us feel comfortable and more independent . The house is perfectly located, both close to the city and the countryside, with only few minutes walk to Sheffield Rivelin Valley nature trail. Alan and Melanie were very responsive and helpful but at the same time very respectful of our privacy. It was a perfect stay and I would definitely reccomend them to anyone!

Stayed with Alan & Melanie overnight. First time in shared home. Check in was smooth, constant contact with hosts and warm greeting on arrival. Room was lovely and bed super comfy. It was a shared bathroom but never saw hosts so as if private. There was a cupboard coverted into a small kitchen with fridge, kettle, toaster & basic food stuffs for breakfast; a genius use of space. Great value for money, would stay again if ever in sheffield overnight.

Lovely room, in a really convenient location for the wedding we were attending and great value. Alan and Melanie were great hosts and gave us really useful local tips for walks and places to visit.

Melanie and Alan are wonderful hosts and I can't even find words for this special and nicely decorated house. The room is so cosy, I already miss to sit at the window, watching the sunrise while sipping a coffee. The kitchenette is well equipment, the house very clean and only a three minutes walk away from the tram - perfect!

We were staying in Sheffield for two nights to meet up with some friends. Julia’s place was in a great spot, a lovely neighbourhood just a few tram stops from the centre of town. Easy check in, absolutely spotless and and great value. Recommend!

My stay was very pleasant, and the space was stylish and relaxing. Julia is very hospitable and welcoming. The location is close to the tram making it easy to get around Sheffield if you don’t have a car.

Hui Zhen is a really nice host. Everything is clean and tidy.

Could not recommend Zhen enough! I was interning for 2 months at the University of Sheffield and my fellow interns and I all stayed at Zhen’s flat. The location is right next to a bus stop that takes you into the city and next to a grocery store. Zhen herself is one of the kindest, most selfless people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and I will miss her dearly.

This was excellent value for money. The room was warm, clean and quiet as were the other areas of the house. Hui Zhen is a great host, she made us feel very welcome.

Very clean house and a friendly host.

Just got back from Sheffield where I had a great stay at Zhen’s place. Two things spring to mind: First, I enjoyed staying at Zhen’s place as she’s an amazing host. Travelling to Sheffield, she helped me sorting out the public transport; while being there she regularly inquired after my whereabouts and advised me to places and trips. As my departure approached, I mistakenly thought that the public transport wouldn’t operate due to construction. Then she even offered me a ride to the station, which shows was a good human being she is. Secondly, I want to compliment the place. The bus 95 stops right in front of the doorstep, which takes one to the station and university. The ASDA supermarket is just around the corner. And I walked a handful of times to the city center, to some museums, and to the university as well. In summary, I would recommend this stay to fellow travelers.

Another great stay at Zhen's! It was basic but very good and very clean, as always.

I had an amazing 2 month stay at Zhen’s place. I was working at the University of Sheffield for the summer and it was super easy to get to the school by walking 20-25 mins or take a short bus ride (the bus stop is right there). There is a grocery store just down the road and multiple other options close by. It is also very easy to get to the city centre or surrounding Peak District. Zhen kept the common spaces very clean and was very generous in allowing us to use her kitchen and some basic cooking items. Check in and out was easy as Zhen is always around and there to help. I can’t recommend her place enough!

Great location 20 min walk from city centre / university. Lots of parking outside. Although the place is in the back of Faye’s garden you have the whole place to yourself. Very stylish beautiful coach house. Comfy beds. Heated floors. Milk and breakfast cereals provided and an array of teas, coffees etc.

I had a great stay in Faye's Coach house. The accommodation is large, spacious and well furnished. Faye was very communicative and very thoughtfully left me some milk in the fridge, and let me know about extra heating as the weather turned a bit cold. The bed was very comfortable, as was the living room which also had Sky TV. The shower had very good pressure and there was plenty of hot water. I would love to come back and stay again in the future - thank you, Faye!

Clean, tidy, modern and welcoming. Our stay was memorable and just the perfect break away we needed. Faye had good communication and put a lot of effort into making our stay welcoming and cosy.

Staying with Kate and Joe is just great! They make you feel at home (only a really nice and fancy home) and their dog is just the cutest. Can recommend 100%!

Lovely space to stay in, good distance from city centre in a nice village. Food shops, pubs etc a very short walk away. Hosts were quick to respond to messages and were very welcoming and respectful. Room was decorated beautifully and some books on things to do in the area were left which was very thoughtful.

I had to stay in Sheffield for a week to sit some exams, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Kate and Joe were great hosts, I felt so at home here. Everything I needed was at hand, and the location was really quite perfect with the University being a half hour walk away, and Hillsborough even closer. If anyone is planning on visiting Sheffield I would certainly recommend staying in this lovely home!

The place is always sparkling clean, water is nice and warm, all amenities and essentials are provided and with great quality. Highly highly highly recommended stay in Sheffield. Its not far from a bus station to the city center either (about 3mins walk).

Loved staying in the Annex! Within walking distance from town and sweet spots like Broomhill, we found the location excellent and it was such a stylish space, I love how they made the most of it with two levels and little space savers here and there. It was a really great place for a weekend break!

Cristina's place was amazing and she is such a great host. The place itself was very cozy, clean and neat. It has everything you really want and its close to shops, restaurants and bars also has great transportation links to town centre, Meadowhall and etc. I recommend the place to other guests who are visiting Sheffield. I spent a week in the Annex in mid-December for some work I had to do at the University of Sheffield, and had a really good stay! I enjoyed the private entrance, how roomy it felt for just one (especially since the bed is up a ladder so that makes the downstairs feel more like a work space), and the skylights keep the space as well lit as possible in those dark winter hours. There's central heating (which I definitely appreciated, as it can't be assumed in some of those older UK homes), but it goes off at night, so if you're an early morning person it can can feel really cold. Once I found the two space heaters, though, that helped a lot! And during the day the space is heated well enough not to need them. I also appreciated how flexible Cristina was with my check-in, as I arrived exhausted after 24 hours of travel time and really appreciated being able to get in early.

This is a lovely one bed flat underneath the hosts' house, with all amenities you need. The welcome was very warm and helpful and I loved the little touches such as fruit and snacks left for the guests. The place was very clean and cosy, very warm as well and the bed very comfy. We had a great first time experience using an Airbnb, the accommodation is lovely, warm welcome with goodies left for us. It is a great location for those visiting students at the university, as near to area and we were able to sample some local restaurants and pubs.

Richard and Yael's place is a perfect base for Sheffield city centre and surrounding area. We were made to feel very welcome and the accommodation had lots of extra little touches to make it feel special. I wish we could have stayed longer and will be back if we return to Sheffiled.

Sue is a superb host she “knows what a good host is” Sue’s place is everything you need when visiting Sheffield and the surrounding area. The space is ideal and the garden and outdoor space is special which allows you to get away from it all at the end of the day. Airbnb at it’s best and how it should be.

Sue's place has a lovely ethnic vibe, she obviously loves to travel herself and there is a great collection of souvenir tiles; the flat is very spacious and light., enough furniture but not cluttered. The decor is lovely, lots of fairy lights in the lovely seating areas which both have french windows to the enchanting terraced garden above the stream below. The kitchen was very well equipped if you wanted to cook. To welcome us and for breakfast there were beverages and milk, tasty crumpets and butter, porridge and a good jam selection and the local Henderson's relish. The towels were ultra soft and fluffy, seating and beds comfy and the place was incredibly warm on the first heavy frost of the season. Near enough to the city if you want to do in town things but also just a short drive into the Peak District. A very lovely place to stay, ideal on many counts.

Amazing space and I would most certainly stay here again.

Three of us spent a couple of nights in the apartment, and enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean, warm, spacious and had everything you needed, including a well equipped kitchen and TV with Netflix. The bedroom was at the back of the property and was therefore very quiet. We found it to be a great location for visiting our son who is studying at Sheffield University. There is also a great selection of shops and cafes within a couple of minutes walk, including small Morrisons and Sainsbury's. A parking permit was kindly supplied and we easily found some on street parking within 2-3 minutes walk from the apartment. We would certainly return here again.

Caroline has a super place, well equipped with all what you need. Perfect location if you are looking a place close to student apartments (Endcliffe, Ranmoor). Will go again!

The flat is really good- an ideal location in a very vibrant neighbourhood but the flat is really quiet. It is very spacious and excellent communications to both the city and to the countryside. Lovely restaurants etc very close we loved it and can't wait to go back when the weather is nice!

What a great little place to stay in Sheffield. Great location and lovely, homely, stylish accommodation. A warm welcome and a lovely home make Fiona's and Robbie's hospitality one of the very best airbnb experiences I've enjoyed. The room is light and airy, the bed most comfortable, the bathroom immaculate, and the kitchen well-appointed. The immediate neighbourhood (Walkley) includes a variety of interesting local and chain shops, and a fine local pub, The Raven, all within a few hundred yards' walk. Most importantly, Fiona and Robbie are delightful hosts, guaranteeing a very enjoyable stay.

This is our second stay here and would highly recommend it - it was great last year but the host has done a refurb and it’s now EXCELLENT! Really homely accommodated with all the comforts of your own home! Nice touches such as beer in the fridge for your arrival! Close to local amenities and transport links too, about a 10 min walk, but in a quiet residential area

Duncan’s place is a wonderful place to stay. Located in a quiet area with shops, pubs, coffee places at walking distance. The place has all you need for your stay, very stylish and comfortable. Lovely house in a great area

Naomi is quick to respond and a helpful host. The house is cosy and decorated with interesting artwork. The bedroom is spacious with a comfy bed. The area is reasonably quiet - I was able to get a nice long sleep!

Rachel’s apartment is super spacious and was the perfect place for our night stay. There were four of us and didn’t feel on top of one another at any point. We noticed a bunch of board games in the living area, although we didn’t play we thought it was a nice homely touch. Prior to booking I’d contacted Rachel to see if there was any possibility of an earlier check-in. She replied straight away and said if anyone was staying the night before they’d make sure the cleaning was done as soon as possible to give us an earlier check in. After booking she kept me up to date with the time we could check in. Rachel went above and beyond to help accommodate our earlier check in, thank you so much! Highly recommend Rachel’s apartment and would happily book to stay here again!

Zak's cosy apartment has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Sheffield (even if it's blowing a gale and chucking it down with rain): well-equipped, clean, quiet but near local shops, the botanical gardens, Western Park Museum and a short bus ride from the centre of Sheffield.

This is a beautiful property, perfect for my daughter and I. It was well-equipped , with breakfast supplies and very comfortable bed and sofa bed. It was lovely, warm and provided us a great retreat from Storm Dennis. It was minutes' walk to shops, pubs and cafes on Broomhill. We recommend the Five Rivers - fantastic Vietnamese food. It was the best trip of my Airbnb! All was perfect - fully equipped kitchen was my favorite place, calm cozy bedroom. The house has a lot of authentic British features - furniture, british sinks. The main thing is Ying`s hospitality. You feel it like your own home where you have been lived for a long time. I will never forget our home seafood dinner with king prawns and vine!

The landlord is very welcoming, the house is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the atmosphere is very warm and harmonious. If you need it later, you will book this house.

Ying and Ying's house are extraordinary. I revisited her house this year and surely for the future in Sheffield.

Fantastic stay! You absolutely must stay with Ying if you are In Sheffield. The house is spotless with excellent amenities in the kitchen that you are free to use. The WiFi is good. The bedroom is very comfortable with a desk space for work. The bathroom is absolutely spotless and Ying kindly provides shower gel if needed. Ying is a very welcoming host and happy to cook delicious food to welcome you. Her communication before and during the stay is timely and helpful. Check in/out is easy. Also she has a list in the bedroom with details about places to eat and visit, and welcome tips like the WiFi code and house keeping. She’s also happy to let you come and go as you please. I had the best time and as a solo traveller I was pleased that the area is quiet and safe - the bus stop is minutes from the house and it takes 15 minutes to get to the city centre. Wonderful, thanks again Ying!

Julia’s place is more like a hotel room with lots of extra touches such as biscuits cereals and fresh milk in the fridge. Comfy bed, really lovely quality bed linen, warm and a good TV and wifi signal. Great value.

This is a good place to stay, convenient for Worrall and Dungworth.

Perfect space for a short stay in Sheffield.

We love this apartment - perfect location and everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our 7 month old daughter. Andy is a fantastic host - communication is easy and prompt. This is our second stay at the apartment and I’m sure we will be back.

Great little place, superbly situated between the city and country. We had great walks in the morning and could go easily get into the city for shopping/eating. Well equipped, clean and a great host. We felt very safe, and it was lovely and quiet. Dawn

Hui Zhen is a very nice host. There is no problem in the communication. She responded very quickly, and always helpful when I needed help. I had no problem locating the place and she warmly picked me up by the door. The room is clean and tidy, and bright with a nice window at the top, allowing adequate sunshine to enter the room. The facilities, especially the kitchen provisions, make me feel like at home. I enjoy the simple breakfast Hui Zhen provided every morning. The location is fantastic. Very near to the 95 bus stop, which can easily bring me to city centre. I had a wondrful stay there. Hui Zhen welcomed me nearly every night when I came back and we had some good talks. I would definitely stay here agin if I come Sheffield in the future. I strongly recommend this place for any potential guests. You will enjoy it!

My partner and I stayed with Nic and Matt for one night but we wish we had been able to stay for a longer trip! They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming, plus Nic was very accommodating around our plans. The room (and house) are lovely, super clean and had everything we needed. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I stayed at the apartment for a couple of night. It is right on the edge of Hillsborough which has shopping and transport links to the city centre, and there is ready access to the countryside. The apartment was fine, access straightforward, hosts very pleasant; happy to recommend.

I stayed in with Nicol and Matuesz on one of my regular weekly visits to Sheffield. They were lovely hosts and their house was warm and comfortable, exactly what I needed for my visit. Certainly recommend to anyone who doesn't mind staying on a somewhat busier road and prefers the added transport convenience that offers.

Lovely house with Nicole as a great host. Only stayed one night but felt right at home. Easily accessible by tram to get to the centre. Her cat is adorable as well
