Well! The interior of the place is awestruck and carefully thought. Sheeba is wonderful host. I travelled with family and she made sure we had everything right from utensils to towels. You can actually live here for days and days without bringing anything. Call Sheeba beforehand if you need anything.

this little cottage is a little Kerala by itself. this is where you should stay to get in touch with Kerala living amoung the locals. the place itself was clean and comfortable for us. a family of 3. the caretaker was very responsive and was there to help us throughout our stay but also giving us our space. loved every bit of staying here.

When I return to Kochi I’ll definitely try to stay at this place again. Mahesh’s charming little house was very clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The family property that it’s situated on is pristine and luscious with green foliage, and the neighborhood always felt safe. I would like to particularly note that Mahesh’s family was incredibly nice and hospitable! Whether it was helping me arrange a rickshaw or inviting me in for a cup of tea, they were always very helpful, and did everything they could to make me feel welcome. This beautiful little traditional house is actually new, so everything is fresh... It's solidly-built and artistically done. I loved the tulsi plant in front and all the colors used outside on the pillars, etc.; greys, yellow, green. The screen doors sealed better than any I've ever seen, with even a magnetic latch, and the windows were also really well screened. I didn't have even one mosquito inside in the three days I was there, so that was a big plus. It was a cozy space with a small porch. I saw many beautiful birds and wished I had brought my binoculars. The area is incredibly quiet at night--it really seemed like something miraculous. It was a great opportunity to stay here; we travelers don't usually get to experience anything like this. Mahesh's friendly mother lives next door and was very helpful with many things. Later I met Mahesh's grandmother, a very elegant and kind lady. Thanks for a great time, Mahesh!

The locality is quite vibrant. The house is easily accessible and located in a calm place amidst greenery. The interiors of the house are well set up with a refreshing traditional theme. Vivi is a great host and is quite generous to requests. Bimal, the caretaker is a great person at heart and always ready to help. His hospitality will add some stars to the place. Overall it's a great place even for long duration stays... If you are looking for a calm stay in amidst the nerve center of the city having a balance of natural beauty and the comfort of luxurious living, you will not be disappointed!

A good place to stay in Cochin. Hosts make you feel at home. It is a safe and secure place. Hosts are not commercial in nature but actually understand a travellers need and respond. Recommended for family stay also.

Was a great base for us to attend our friend's wedding in Chitoor and also explore Fort Kochi and Mattencherry. It was a little off the main roads but still close to amenities. Having a front desk rep always was also useful for us for laundry and any other requests.

A really lovely place to stay. My partner and I spent 4 nights here. The neighbourhood is nice, the room is spotlessly clean, the traditional Keralan breakfast is really good and the host family are really nice - nothing was too much trouble for them. Best place we've stayed in India - we definitely recommend.

The location of the house is at the heart of the city, easily accessible(due to metro near by). The house was very stylish and super clean. Adding on to it, the host was very responsive and caring. Summing it up, had a great time at pavana and looking forward to stay again when I visit Kochi.

The location of the apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, away from the hustle-bustle of the main roads. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. The host Cherian was very helpful. We had a hassle-free check-in and he provided us useful informations regarding local transport, shops etc. AC, geyser, TV, washing machine etc were fully functional.

I spent 15 days here. And I felt very comfortable during my stay at home. I arrived at the terminal early in the morning from another city. Orner john and jessy allowed an early check-in and even helped pick up his car for me. They was very kind and helpful. John is also helped book the train ticket. John was checked me every morning to see if I was uncomfortable. The house is located in a safe residential area. I canned easily catch autolicksha nearby. from here it is easy to access everywhere. If I visit kochin again, I surely will stay here again.

If you are looking for a hassle-free stay in Kochi- Jessy's is ideal. I was in the city on an assignment and found the homestay fabulous! It was clean, airy, spacious (really spacious) and v comfortable. Importantly, the host couple are warm and are always willing to help.

John and Jessy ji are excellent hosts who were helpful and unobtrusive during our 10 days at this flat, assisting us in whatever we needed and giving us privacy otherwise. Their home has been certified as a homestead by the state which means that the quality, amenities, and services are guaranteed. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the home, and the fact that we had a full kitchen with anything we could need. It is a beautiful space and we felt immediately at home. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone. A couple of things to be aware of, there is no drinking water filter so we boiled our water (no problems at all). The metro station is about 20min walk away and finding autos is not so easy--although OLA works well.

John and Jessy's place is a well laid out, very clean 2 bedroom apartment with sufficient amenities and kitchen items to make a short to medium stay comfortable. Cochin can be a hot and humid place but the air conditioning in the bedrooms and ceiling fans in the living space provide welcome cooling for those unused to higher temperatures. John and Jessy were excellent hosts in not only accommodating our very late arrival but also in assisting us with instructions for a hired driver to find where we were staying. John and Jessy were both very respectful of our privacy and welcoming as hosts and with offers to help. I can highly recommend staying with them and would do so again myself if I have chance to return to Cochin.

Sheeba welcomes you like family. She says that is the tradition in Kerala and you will feel it. As an American cyclist, I’m always happier to feel a more authentic sense of place. You have a home away from home here. The grocery store around the corner is convenient and friendly, and there is even an “Indian Starbucks” a block away. We like to cook and the kitchen is fully supplied and stocked. You could easily cook family meals here. There are plenty of fans to keep cool, an A/C, and two bathrooms. We work remotely and found this to be a quite place to do some trip planning. Thanks again for having us.

Sheeba was an amazing host. She really went out of her way to help me enjoy my experience. I really wanted to experience Kochi and didn't have much time to do so. Sheeba helped a lot in answering any questions I had and giving advice on restaurants and other places I wanted to go. Her place was very spacious, clean and in a part of town that's a little more peaceful and quiet, but still quite close many things one might want to check out or do.

I came to Kochi to attend a scientific conference and stayed at John's place. The stay was quite comfortable, the room and common area were clean and all amenities were in place. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils, including kettle, oven, etc. The iron-box with the stand was useful as I had to iron my clothes one day. The location is in the city center itself but tucked away in an inside lane - so it's calm and quiet. There are restaurants and shops nearby. Above all, John was a wonderful host, he was friendly and communicative.

Eliza homestay is a lovely place to stay, close to restaurants and easy to navigate to with Uber and Autorikschas. John was incredibly accommodating with regard to our requests, whether that was what we wanted to eat for breakfast or hosting additional friends of ours on fairly short notice. The apartment is clean, modern, spacious, with efficient ACs, rooms with en-suite bathrooms, a big kitchen and lounge area plus balcony and rooftop. Both John and his wife did not hesitate to provide information on restaurants, tailors, shopping facilities (we prepared for our friends' wedding), etc. We shared lovely conversations and had a great time at your place. An amazing place put together with so much love and care.. You can see it in the attention to detail and how well equipped it is! The hosts are extremely considerate and attentive. We had a good stay here over 4 nights. The apartment was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. Everything we needed for cooking and cleaning during our stay was well provided for. Wifi speed was also fast. Most of all, our host was super helpful. We cannot recommend this place enough.

The flat was fantastic - large, airy, clean and comfortable with a large terrace with a beautiful view. We woke up to birdsong and the sound of daily life. It was lovely to stay in a residential area, and very easy to get to Fort Kochi via the government ferry. Lots of quirky museums in the area, and a wonderful area to explore. Mitty and George who live downstairs were the most wonderful hosts. Welcoming and friendly with lots of local information. They made as breakfast and dinner when we were up early or out late which was kind and a lovely surprise, especially as Mitty’s food is delicious. Highly recommend staying here.

I can easily say that this place is one of the best places to stay at Kochi. Location is nice and finding house was not a problem. We were a group of 9 members(7 adults and 2 kids). Coming to the accommodation, rooms are air conditioned, spacious and sparkling clean with each room having toilet & bath . They have a common area that includes dining table, utensils and all the things required for your basic necessities. All rooms are exactly as described by the owner. Coming to the hospitality, Mr Ravi & Mrs Sujatha take care of their guests really well. They ensured that our stay is comfortable . My parents felt really awesome interacting with them. Both the hosts have great attitude towards their customers and they do best effort to make your stay is a delight. We got local tip from them about surroundings and life in kochi. My parents loved how Mr Nair established this beautiful house and accommodation for his guests. I will strongly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for stay in Kochi. Guys I have never seen such a great combination of super host along with this supreme quality stay.

Jamal‘s House is perfect located and you only need a few minutes walk to reach the metro station. Supermarket, Restaurants and ATM are just around the corner. There was bottlet water all the Time and for free available for us.... super comfortable. My significant other had very nice and interesting conversations about politics and any other subjects....he liked it very much to talk to Jamal. At all....if we have to say anything almost negative then it is the fact that we weren‘t really private like he described it in his description but i think we should have just mentioned that. Our Host Jamal was very kind and friendly. The place was ready to move and was a home away from home. The place is 10 minutes walking distance from the Lissie Metro Station and has some restaurants nearby. Its the best place to be if you wanna get a taste of the city as well as go shopping. The architecture and the detailing has a very relaxing ambience. He can guide you with all your queries.

Abdul’s home is absolutely beautiful, tucked away from the busy SRM road, it is perfect for those looking to experience the best of both Ernakulam and Fort Kochi. It is an extremely spacious and well designed house with full kitchen, laundry facilities, ironing area, dining room and lounge area featuring a fish pond housed at the base of a red brick turret. Abdul himself made us feel extremely at home, recommending all the local things to do, modes of transportation etc. We really recommend Maria’s Cooking Class on Fort Kochi, a must. The house is situated right beside Ernakulam train station, allowing you to escape the city and visit the North. We went to Chalakudy and on to Athirapally Falls where we stayed for the night. Other must-see places include Alleppy and Munnar. There were honestly no negatives to our stay in Abdul’s home, and any queries we had were answered by a quick phone call or text. One tip I advise travellers is to bring physical copies of both your passport and visa and to take a picture of your visa stamp in your passport, as it is required by Kerala law for any hotel/host to register foreigners.

Vivi's place is much more beautiful than what the pictures suggest. It has all the furnishings that one could possibly need including Kitchen utensils, washing machine, etc. Our room was lovely and cozy. Her apartment has a perfect location in Ernakulam, just near the city center in a beautiful locality. This has been probably one of my best stays through Airbnb. We also made another friend while staying there. Vivi was also considerate in allowing us to drop our luggage at her place when we arrived really early in the morning. This is beyond a doubt the most amazing apartment we have stayed in through ours years of traveling the world. If you like little touches that make your stay memorable, then this is the place for you if you ever venture to Kerala. Xavier was so, so helpful with suggestions of things to do, meeting us at check in and checking on us from time to time to see if we needed anything. He even took time from his busy day to take us on a car tour of the area surrounding our apartment the afternoon of check-in. I work for a company in the USA remotely and it is imperative that I have a fast and reliable internet connection wherever we stay. Well, I can tell you Xavier's apartment wifi was absolutely flawless and I had no problems whatsoever! Thank you my friend for making our stay so wonderful. Paul & Elizabeth

We had such a great stay at Xavier's apartment! It is located in a quiet neighborhood, with a market close by and an easy access to Fort Cochin by ferry. It is like a heaven of quietness in Ernakulam! The building is brand new, very stylish in Roman style, each place having a flower pattern. The apartment is sparkling clean with all the appliances you may need to enjoy a holiday in Cochin: you can cook (all the equipment is brand new), or order delivery easily, enjoy a quiet place with good internet, enjoy the sun on the balcony... Xavier welcomed us in person, he was such a gracious host all along our stay, being always helpful and friendly. It really felt like home! It is a private apartment, but you can also ask the cleaning person to do your laundry and clean the apartment. It was very convenient and we always felt well taken care of. In the neighborhood, we enjoyed doing grocery at the local market, going to central mall and taking a day tour to Alleppey. I really recommend this place for anybody wanting a true Kerala experience, and would love to stay there again. Thank you so much for your kindness dear Xavier!

Although I wasn't fortunate enough to stay due to personal reasons at the last moment, I would say Xavier's hospitality deserves this 5 star according to me. To adjust his timings according to my needs, giving me prompt responses about my doubts and hassle free cancellation at the end, made me surely decide if am in the place again, will definitely choose to stay at Xavier's place.

Travellers won't miss their home if they travel Jimi's home...

We had such a wonderful time at Jimis place! Pictures do not do it justice. Having a coffee on the porches with a beautiful view was everything. Excellent location. The caretaker of the house, Jose, was incredible as well and super helpful. The place was super clean and would definitely recommend this place to anyone! We will for sure be back.

Jimi was a fantastic host. He promptly accommodated our request to postpone the booking because of an emergency. Apart from that, the place was really good. Very family friendly as well as sparkling neat. We as a family have stayed there twice and will continue to keep Jimmy's place as our first option, whenever a cochin trip springs up.
