Wonderful garden paradise in a quaint town in a scenic part of the Meuse. M-F was a wonderful host who paraded me around her garden and fed me a healthy breakfast. Although she speaks very little English we had no trouble communicating with my limited French and hand signals. Place is spotless and we'll set up for a stay with a complete kitchen. Was a little expensive for my tastes, on a cycling trip where I really only needed a roof over my head but I really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended!

Studio au calme avec terrasse sur le jardin. Pas un bruit. Bref que du bonheur !!!

L'appartement est exactement comme decrit et entierement m euble avec tout ce que besoin. Marie-France et son beau chien nous ont accueillis et nous a montré autour dans le beau jardin avec beaucoup de legumes et de fruits. Nous avons passé un superbe weekend dans les ardennes françaises. Marie-france nous a accueilli très chaleureusement. Son studio est au top et son jardin juste magnifique. Tres bien situé dans le village. Nous reviendrons.

Séjour très agréable, Marie France nous a très bien accueilli. Elle nous a fait visiter son logis ainsi que son jardin qui est très bien fait, mais vu la saison, il faudra attendre au moins le printemps pour de nouveau l’admirer sous un autre angle. Mais ça donne déjà un vrai petit paradis. Le studio était confortable avec sa petite cuisine, son coin salon, chambre et SDB, le tout dans un décor très zen. Lors de notre départ, nous avons eu une petite surprise : Marie France nous a fait goûter les fruits de son jardin, c’était enrichissant et ses conseils ont été précieux. En 3 mots, on y reviendrait !!!

Nous avons passé un excellent moment á Fumay, notre hôte, Marie-France s'est montrée très attentionnée et d`une grande gentillesse. Nous avons tellement apprécié notre séjour que nous l'avons prolongé d`une nuit. Petit plus: potager exceptionnel, Marie-France est une experte qui saura vous expliper tous les détails de son jardin et vous donner l`eau á la bouche !

Marie-France est une personne d'une très grande générosité, serviable et soucieuse du bien-être de ses hôtes. Mais à vrai dire, tous nos besoins avaient été anticipés car il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans cet espace, très commode pour deux : salle de bains, séjour et cuisine sont équipés de neuf et ça fonctionne bien. Calme absolu dans cet appart au bord de la Meuse qui fournit une superbe promenade juste derrière le jardin. Un jardin superbe et généreux bien à l'image de sa jardinière ! Merci Marie-France !

Appartement ligt midden in de Frans-Belgische Ardennen en is een prima uitvalsbasis voor alle activiteiten in de Ardennen. Appartement is eenvoudig uitgerust, maar compleet en netjes. Huis wordt wel gedeeld met nog twee appartementen (enig gestommel hoorbaar), en ligt aan een doorgaande weg. Die weg is in het algemeen rustig. Eigenares niet gesproken. Maar alles prima geregeld. Sleutel lag klaar en instructies waren helder.

Mooi huis, mooie tuin en mooie omgeving. Rustig dorpje, met voorzieningen in volgend dorpje of in Givet, Couvin. Aanrader voor een paar daagjes rust.

Dit huis met deze fameuze tuin in Mazee is een heerlijk verblijf voor iedereen die van bossen, riviertjes en rust houdt! Het appartement op de begane grond is precies zoals omschreven. Groter en mooier (de ramen!) dan verwacht. De tuin is super! Inderdaad aan een dorpsweg, daar moet je tegen kunnen, af en toe een tractor onder je slaapkamer-raam. En wat gestommel van appartementen boven. Wij vonden het een heerlijk verblijf met 2 kinderen die speelden in tuin en op het voetbal/speelplein om de hoek. Op 5 minuten rijden een supermarktje die het meeste heeft (ook brood), in datzelfde Treignes ook een riviertje waar in gezwommen kan worden en overal wandelmogelijkheden!

Une très jolie maison bien équipée avec tous ce qu'il faut et avec un jardin privatif très sympa pour les enfants ... En général on est passé un congé très agréable en profitant de la nature, des attractions et de la convivialité du région tout a proximité de la maison donc on reviendra sans doute!

Wij komen al sinds jaren af en toe naar Nismes, dit is de eerste keer in La blanche hermine, maar hopelijk niet de laatste. Het is een heel verzorgde, leuk ingerichte en ruime gite, ook fijn dat er een tuin bij is. Een fijne plek! Carolien, Harry

Superbe séjour dans ce beau village de Nismes. L'accueil reçu par nos hôtes était très chaleureux. Le gite est vraiment confortable et propre, idéal pour une petite famille comme la nôtre. La documentation sur la région est particulièrement abondante. N'hésitez pas à manger à la bonne auberge, située au cœur du village. Nous reviendrons très certainement.

We had a nice stay. Balistaire was very friendly and helpful. The apartment upstairs was nice and quiet, although the living room was a bit to dark due to the old stone house construction. The playground shown on Balistaire's Photo's is a 20km drive by car.

Marie-Berthe and Frank were wonderful hosts, and the place was comfortable and fun to stay at. We had the entire upper floor of the house for us - 3 bedrooms, a small kitchen, an a beautifully decorated lounge. The house has a stunning garden - a combination of beauty and practicality, and it shows a lot of dedication, and many green thumbs :-) Our hosts gave us good tips for local dining, and they prepared a folder with maps to interesting places in the area - and there is a lot! We can recommend this place wholeheartedly, especially for families that are looking for a peaceful and quiet vacation residence in an area full of natural beauty and fun activities.

Charming, clean space, decorated with a personal touch of love and care. Even if we arrived late and on a short notice, our host welcomed us kindly with a homemade pie. The garden was charming in the winter too. This spot is great for visiting northern Belgium and southern France and alternate visits with hiking trips or maybe bike rides. We did due to time and weather more visiting but left with a feeling of wanting to explore the greenery around the house more. Our hosts went above and beyond to accommodate our visiting plans, they gave us great tips and directions of what to visit and detailed maps.

The location is quite and peaceful, with a small World War 2 museum about 1km away, which is worth a visit. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely recommend this accommodation. Dear Maryline, I am not so demanding, but here are few tips to consider before you have the next guest: 1 - The mattress is horribly bent because the bed base is broken. Therefore, I slept very uncomfortably the two nights 2 - Ask if the guest needs towels and if it is not too cold in the bedroom. 3 - There is no sense of security when you do not offer a key for the bedroom and no sense of freedom/independence when there is no key for the house. 4 - Not everybody takes a shower with the shower handle all the time. Better fix the shower holder as some people prefer to have two hands free when taking a shower. 5 - Movement up and down the stairs wakes everybody up late at night or early in the evening. and most importantly: 6 - When a guest chooses accommodation where "no pets are allowed", the guests expects to see no pets, that includes the host's own pet. Apart of that, congratulations for the friendliness and for replying all my messages promptly, despite the language barrier. The apartment has a nice location and the village is lovely!

Maryline nous a très chaleureusement accueillis, elle pris le temps de discuter avec nous autour d'un thé et s'est montrée disponible et arrangeante. L'appartement en duplex, situé en plein cœur de Rocroi, est plein de charme avec son escalier et ses placards en bois et ses sols en parquet. La chambre est sous les toits, spacieuse, avec la douche privée dans la chambre (les toilettes sont à l'étage du dessous). Rocroi est une ville charmante avec une belle balade à faire sur les remparts et des commerces rendant ce petit village très accueillant. A tester les yeux fermés.

Mina's place was excellent, highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a tranquil get away! There is a separate entrance to the apartment so you have total privacy, there's loads of space and we really enjoyed chilling out here after exploring the countryside in the daytime. Mina and family live downstairs and were very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood, one thing to note is that it's quite a distance from the town of Florrenes, by foot I think it would take a while if you're out in the evening. We cycled! Great choice!

Wanneer we toe kwamen heeft Mina ons zeer warm ontvangen, ze is echt een schat van een vrouw en het zelfde geld voor haar man! we kregen een rondleiding door het huis en besseften al meteen dat de ruimtes nog groter waren dan die op de foto tonen. ook was het er heel aangenaam ingericht en was alles er aanwezig. Er was een keuken met voldoende kook materiaal, een woonkamer met tv, en een douche met verstelbare sproeiers. het was er heel warm en gezellig en je voelt je meteen thuis. enkel het bed was iets aan de kleine kant en de matras wat dun. Ook was er een mooie tuin met 2 hangmatten, een klein houten zwembad en een barbeque, perfect voor een middagje zonnen en genieten met de vrienden. En als je een probleem had of ergens geen wou maar niet echt wist waar naar toe, konde we het haar altijd vragen en hielp ze ons met veel plezier verder. Kort om hebben we een zeer aangenaam verblijf gehad en kunnen we dit zeker aan iedereen aanraden!

Sítio muito bonito e comfortável. Fui com 3 amigos passar um fim-de-semana e Mina recebeu-nos muito bem. O apartamento tinha tudo o que era necessário, numa boa localização para passar uns tempos relaxados. Gostamos muito!

As nice lodge in the middle of nature

I was looking for a place to stay for one night during a diving weekend in the region. I found this charming appartment. The booking went smooth and quick. Dominiques reception was very welcome. On arrival she went out of her way to show the appartment, give tips and share experiences of places to eat or visit and made sure the internet worked. There were even small things to eat and drink, so I immedialety felt at home. The appartment was as described, clean and with everything needed to spent a couple of days. Although it's not the biggest place, it is very cozy and I slept like a baby. View on the lake and parking spot right next door are a nice extra.

nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans une magnifique région, reposant et répondant bien nos attentes. L'appartement est très confortable pour 2 personnes, avec une chambre séparée du séjour. Petite terrasse avec vu sur le barrage bien agréable, et réveil au chant des oiseaux.

Un petit coin de nature en pleine campagne en face du lac, à proximité de toutes les infrastructures du site (5-10min en voiture, 20-30min en vélo). Merci Dominique pour votre chaleureux accueil, vos conseils sur la route... et votre joli pied à terre fonctionnel et tout confort. Un bel endroit au calme que nous recommandons.

Top en gastvrij ontvangst, aardige mensen.. Er stond eten en drinken in de keuken waar we gebruik van konden maken.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay a great deal. The space is very comfortable and the hosts welcoming. We arrived on a rainy fall day to find a fire already started and a nice bottle of wine waiting for us. The space is more than adequate for a family of 4 with well thought through amenities to make the stay carefree. Our children enjoyed exploring around the house, but for longer walks it is best to drive to one of the many hiking paths nearby. We enjoyed exploring the local town as well as Chimay which is just a short drive away.

We had a wonderful weekend in the house. The place was clean and cosy, it has everything you need. And we got a warm welcome with a bottle of wine :) Fantastic! We hope to be back soon! Thank you!!!

We had a great time in Froidchapelle a Taille's house. Beautiful setting and it was so nice they pulled out some toys for our toddlers. Very peaceful setting and an easy drive to Chimay and the Lakes!

Très bon séjour, bel endroit, joli logement. Feu de bois déjà lancé à notre arrivée... Belle attention des propriétaires! Les pièces de vies sont supers agréables! La chambre à l'étage est cosy, jolie et confortable. La chambre du bas est moins sympa, plus froide mais néanmoins confortable aussi!

Gite très agréable très bien équipe, tout le confort, tout est parfait pour un sejour en campagne. Accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires. Gite a recommander.

De communicatie met de gastvrouw verliep heel goed. Wij werden warm verwelkomd. Letterlijk: het haardvuur was al aan. Voor ons dochtertje was er een campingbedje, box en kinderstoel beschikbaar. Het is een prachtig huis met een fijne sfeer. In de winter is de houtkachel wel nodig om het warm te stoken.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Alle nodige voorzieningen aanwezig, mooie tuin, veel privacy. Een echte aanrader!

Magnifique endroit en pleine forêt. L'appart a une très belle vue sur un étang. Endroit idéal pour se promener. A proximité de la ville de Chimay, de l'étang de Virelles, avec possibilité d'innombrables superbes promenades dans les forêts aux alentours.

It was a beautiful weekend in a truly exotic region. The area is really beautiful and you can make wonderful walks. We were very well received, with the aperitif offered at that. The accommodation was exactly what was proposed, with all the comfort, cleanliness and charm described. We recommend.

The cottage is beautiful, it has a beautiful terrace, a parking space. It is new, well equipped, offers all modern comforts and practical stove for cool mornings of the Ardennes. Our hosts were perfect, welcoming us with an appetizer tray and good advice on the house and the area.
