  • Our stay at Ezio's place was perfect. He was a great host and gave us all the information we needed. The house was pleasantly warm, elegant with segments of beautiful rustic stone wall, and spotlessly clean. We slept incredibly well, the surroundings were very peaceful and it was just the rest we needed after a day of climbing. We also enjoyed our breakfast in the sun in front of the house.

  • This is an amazing mountain house! The apartments are at the bottom of the house, the house is on a slope, a beautiful view of the mountains opens from the terrace of the house - this is great! The apartment is renovated, everything is perfectly clean, everything is thought out, everything is done very carefully and with a soul! Ezio is extremely kind and helpful, he told us everything, the house has complete instructions on how to get to local attractions, what to see and what to admire! We went to Pietra Bismantova- the views are superb !! Recomend for everybody!!

    Nadezhda2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent welcome, nice and functional accommodation, impeccable cleanliness. The place is silent, surrounded by nature and with an extraordinary view over the valley. Ezio and his mother are people of great kindness and sympathy. We will definitely be back!

    Alessandra2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Ezio for a mini vacation. Ezio and Signora Bruna were very kind and helpful. The apartment is very nice, well kept and clean.

    Alice2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is very well-kept, clean and spacious. The location is quiet and you can enjoy a beautiful view over the valley. Ezio and his mother welcomed us with great kindness and availability, also fulfilling some of our requests beyond what they were required to fulfill. Three beautiful days spent under the Bismantova stone

    Michele2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Newly renovated, Ezio's flat has an excellent amount of kitchen devices. There's virtually everything you need to feed yourself! Ezio rents out this flat very professionally, perfect explanations, superfast replys. On the same side both Ezio and his mum who lives in the upper floor are very kind, hospitable people. There is no wifi and mobile reception can be weak. But nature around is amazing, especially wild valley of Secchia river. Go out and explore! Full recommendation for this flat. Thank you!

    Christoph2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • All perfect. From the kindness of the owner Ezio, to the cleaning, to the apartment equipped with everything necessary. Really recommended

    Chiara2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Impeccable cleanliness at Ezio's home, in addition to the quiet, good location for excursions in the surroundings and excellent hospitality. Definitely to be recommended also in the light of the excellent quality / price ratio.

  • We loved the stay in Massimo's house. We really felt part of his family. He integrated us to some of his farm routine. He shared his passion of balsamic vinegar handmade production. Thanks for everything, Samuel and Paulo

  • Great location - you can start a trek literally a few steps away. There are very few houses nearby, which makes the place quiet and peaceful. The views were breathtaking. Numerous restaurants and cafes/bars are in a few towns very close by. The owners, clearly passionate about the area and its treasures, were very responsive and gave us a nice welcome.

  • I stayed at Chiara for one night and although short it was a very pleasant stay. Chiara and Luis are kind, friendly and extremely helpful people. The room is very spacious and pretty. The bathroom is very clean and with refined details. Highly recommended!

    Ambra2019-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Ca 'Ceriola was extraordinary. Chiara and Luis are exquisite, precise and kind people. The house is warm, welcoming and spacious. The living room is perfect for those who want to climb in the areas of the area such as Ceriola or the Pietra di Bismantova. Both places are very short and the experience we had in this BnB was perfect. Really recommendable!

  • The apartment of Stefania (and Michele) is beautiful, clean and very practical: we see that those who lived there really lived and personalized it. The geographical position is perfect, just a few minutes from Bismantova and a short distance from the plain (Modena and Reggio) and from the Apennine passes. Michele, from Brianza, is an amiable conversationalist and knows how to give useful advice on the territory. Last but not least, the accommodation is at a very competitive and highly competitive price.

    Marco2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Stefania and her Husband were the most friendly and caring host I ever met. They are friendly and they did everything to make us feel confortable and at home. The appartment is well furnished in a lovely and quiet village. If you want to enjoy your stay in the area, you must stay at this place!

    Guy2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We found ourselves very well at the home of Stefania and Michele, the house is beautiful big and well kept, they made us find everything we needed and even more. Very kind people who have also provided us with useful brochures to know what was being done in the neighboring villages. We will definitely be back, we really had a great time.

    Leonardo2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were very satisfied, the owners were very kind and extremely available to meet our needs, they gave us excellent advice on places to see in the surroundings and also where to eat. Very clean and spacious apartment, in a small, very quaint village where you immediately feel at home. Highly recommended for a stay of relaxation and gastronomy and also just a few km from the Cerwood adventure park and the spa.

  • The stay was very beautiful, we could rest in a very beautiful house, clean, tidy and full of peace and love. The landscape and nature is very beautiful, we feel very comfortable. Daniela is very friendly and friendly, in the morning she waited for us with delicious breakfasts. We were very happy among the mountains.

  • Perfect stay! We easily found the house and Daniela was very helpful and flexible in welcoming us even though it was time for dinner. Daniela was very kind, attentive to our every need and excellent company. Very relaxed and informal atmosphere. Clean house with everything you need: nice room with a very comfortable bed; private bathroom with shower and hygiene products; kitchen equipped with everything. Daniela also produces delicious jams and compotes that can be purchased. Beautiful view of the valley and surrounding mountains, peace, silence, good air ... And from there to reach Bismantova, Castelnovo, Canossa and in general the points of interest on the Apennines by car is a moment (10-20 min). Thanks Nila, see you soon!

    Luca2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Daniela was very kind and helpful in helping me with suggestions on what to see and do. You are a very nice person but leave you your space. The apartment is clean, comfortable, beautiful and with a large garden and a beautiful view of the adjacent valley. Daniela's cats and dog are very calm and sociable. The area is very quiet. Sumptuous breakfast! The only thing I recommend is to take a car if you want to run well (like I did). From Daniela's house it is easy to get to the 5 Terre by parking in Aulla or La Spezia Migliorina. Thanks for the hospitality Daniela! Daniela is a very nice person who was full of suggestions for places to see around the area. She was very sociable but left me my space as well. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated with little things here and there. Daniela's cats were very sociable and quiet. You are surrounded by mountains and the view from the apartment is quite breathtaking. The area is very quiet. I suggest you get your own car for an easy time moving around public transport can be tricky. From Daniela's place, it is easy to reach 5 Terre by driving to Aulla or La Spezia Migliorina and taking the train from there. Breakfast was sumptuous! Thanks for the lovely stay, Daniela!

    Enrico2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We spent three days at Daniela's and everything went very well. The bedroom and private bathroom upstairs is super comfortable and Daniela offered us to use the rest of the apartment (living room, kitchen) as if we were at home. She left us good recommendations on things to do in the area. The area is beautiful and the apartment is very well located. Close to many points of interest. Note that the bell tower next to the apartment rings regularly between 7am and 9pm but it did not bother us.

It has a fully equipped kitchen and a small shower room with hot and cold water and a composting toilet, it has solar lighting and phones/laptops can be charged, there is WIFI on site but not in the cabin. All bedding and towels are provided as is tea and coffee. There is a large fridge (cool box) There is a gas hob for summer use and a woodburning stove for cooler seasons (wood is provided)
Hobbit house is great for couples but a single bed/cot can be added if you would like to bring a child/baby. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash, and must not leave dirt in the garden. Lots of nice walks, beautiful scenery/mountains.
  • The house is truly unique and magical. If you love being surrounded by the sounds and the presence of nature, it is the right place for you! For us it was an opportunity to return to a more natural rhythm. We greatly appreciated the fact that in the house electricity should be put to good use, because it is supplied by a solar panel. For us it was an excellent opportunity to enjoy natural light and that of candles and detoxify ourselves from monitors, cell phones, etc. A frugality that allowed us to listen to ourselves more! In every corner of the house there is a small and unique detail full of magic. At night you can hear the sounds of wild animals and the energy of nature. Jill and her animals are very nice and welcomed us and kept us company. We hope to be back soon!

  • The house is located in a central position, close to a supermarket, bank, restaurants, theater, several bars, however it is isolated from the road and this makes it very quiet. It is also equipped with all the comforts and first kinds necessary for cooking. I was surprised by the availability and kindness of Cristiano and his mother and by the cleanliness and order of the house, a five-star stay!

Ideale per pranzi e cene all'aperto.

    Attilio2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • What to say ... really a beautiful place! The house is spacious, clean and really does not lack anything. My favorite corner, however, is the outdoor terrace ... dine there at sunset is one of those things that for me are priceless. Immersed in tranquility, however, just move a little to admire many beautiful places of the Apennines and those who like the mountains can go to Febbio where there are lifts to reach the summit of Mount Cusna! Finally I thank Gabriele and Marzia for their availability which made the stay even more enjoyable!

  • We spent a carefree week immersed in the green of a sweet hilly landscape that led us to dream. We felt comfortable and found every possible comfort. The house is perfect for those who want to relax and at the same time be able to go to discover enchanting and welcoming places ... Sources of Poiano, Pietra di Bismantova, Castello di Carpineti and little more 'in the' also the House of Tibet (Votigno ). We thank Marzia and Gabriele for this wonderful stay in a location immediately striking style and care for every detail (even good music). We will be back as soon as possible. Romana and Roberto

  • Andrea and Giulia were great! We pulled into the place with the fire already started and the apartment nice and cozy. The rustic wooden accents are amazing and rural views of the surroundings are quite idyllic. Andrea and Giulia gave us dinner suggestions and were extremely helpful and communicative with the impending snow storm. I would strongly recommend staying here!

La Stalla at Villa Bonicelli is a recently renovated barn conversion that sleeps 2 people in style. It is situated in Villa Bonicelli, a picturesque and peaceful hamlet in the heart of the Appennini mountains of Emilia Romagna. The property is well equipped, comfortably furnished and boasts stunning views of the mountains and the river Dolo. It's an ideal spot for couples looking for a romantic hideaway, but can also be rented in conjunction with one or both of our other properties.
La Stalla is a self-catering property. Although a modern conversion, the barn retains much of its original charm, with exposed beams and stonework throughout. The open-plan ground floor has a sitting and dining area with wood pellet-burning stove, television, DVD player and film library; a well-equipped kitchen corner with gas hob, fridge-freezer and washing machine; and a bathroom (on the ground floor) with charming small wooden bath tub imported from Thailand and separate shower cubicle. Stairs lead up to a mezzanine floor, where you will find a spacious double bedroom with a cosy seating area and large picture windows (with remote-control-operated electronic blinds) that look out onto the beautiful mountain landscape. Free, limited wifi is available in the outdoor courtyard and by the pool, but please note that because of the thick stone walls, we cannot guarantee a signal in the house. La Stalla has a private east-facing terrace that looks onto the Appennini mountains and the river Dolo. What better spot to enjoy an alfresco meal (there's a fantastic large stone/marble barbecue) or a glass of vino as the sun goes down? Whether you're simply looking to relax and recharge your batteries, or whether you are looking for a more active holiday of outdoor pursuits and sight-seeing, our property will provide the perfect base for you to enjoy and explore this unspoilt corner of Italy.
In the immediate vicinity the river Dolo, which is in places deep enough to bathe, is on your doorstep and there are some spectacular walks that can be enjoyed directly from your front door. There's also a wealth of wildlife to observe – sharp-eyed guests might spot woodpeckers or golden Oracles in the forest, deer and hare in the fields and birds of prey circling over the mountains. This area is extremely popular with walkers, cyclists and bikers thanks to the stunning mountainous scenery. There are marked walking routes that can be picked up from Villa Bonicelli, from the river or from the nearby hamlet of Castagnola, including one that takes you across a rope bridge (see photo). There is also an excellent Via Ferrata that enables less experienced climbers to access some of the more dramatic routes usually only accessible to the expert mountaineer! About 30 min away is the Pietra di Bismantova, a magnificent sandstone plateau over 1,000m high. It is a climbers' paradise, with about fifty routes and climbing variants. Guided treks, half-day climbing lessons etc at Bismantova can be arranged – please contact us for more information. The Parco del Gigante, one of the largest parks in Emilia, is great for walking and horse riding. The area has many restaurants and pizzerias that offer great value for money, including one approx 10 mins' drive away in Farneta. It is a friendly family-run restaurant with a lovely terrace on which to enjoy your meal. We have a partnership with this restaurant and can offer tailor-made cooking courses there on request (advance booking essential). It's a fantastic experience that comes highly recommended - our guests have said that it was a highlight of their holiday. For an alternative foodie experience, we have Fabio who will take you in for the day and you can prepare lunch for his clientele and learn many local food customs as well as have your own lunch prepared by Fabio. For a quick hours trip look no further than our local Parmesan producer in Quara to learn all about - and taste - the best Parmesan around! Get there early for a tour of the dairy and to see the artisans at work, ask Janet for details for a guided tour in English. Throughout summer and autumn there are 'feste' being held most weekends in one or other of the local villages, with the focus of the celebrations ranging from wine and beer to chestnuts, mushrooms and truffles, not to mention various obscure saints! The nearby town of Toano (approx 7km) has a small selection of bars, pizzerie, shops etc and is also home to one of the best preserved Roman churches in the Appenines. It also has a lovely outdoor swimming pool, which is open during the school holidays (early June to early September, see pic). Alternatively Costa Bona and Cerredolo have great restaurants, for information please ask Janet on arrival. Emilia Romagna is one of Italy's most prosperous regions and is famed for its culinary delights, making it an ideal destination for food lovers. Among other things, it is home to fresh pasta (tortellini, tortelloni...), ragù sauce, Parma ham, Parmesan cheese and traditional balsamic vinegar as well as Lambrusco, which is a light and very drinkable sparkling red. 'La Stalla' is very well placed for a day trip to any of the four main cities in Emilia Romagna, all of which are worth a visit. The ancient Roman town of Reggio Emilia is 50km away. Modena (60km) is a thriving city whose Duomo is considered one of the greatest examples of European Romanesque architecture and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Parma, one of the most affluent towns in Italy, is 70km away. Bologna, the region's capital city, is a real delight, with its characteristic red-brick buildings and its over 40km of covered porticos (useful in bad weather). It is also home to the oldest university in Europe, founded in 1088, earning it one of its nicknames, La Dotta (The Learned). Also known as La Grassa (The Fat), Bologna takes its food very seriously; in fact, it is considered by many to be the food capital of Italy. This area is a car and motorbike enthusiast's dream come true - Lamborghini (Dosso, nr Ferrara), Ferrari (Maranello), Maserati (Modena) and Ducati (near Bologna) all have their factories and museums in the region. For day-trips slightly further afield, a day at the seaside can be enjoyed at La Spezia or Lerici, both about two and a half hours away – and don't miss the Cinque Terre, five beautiful cliff-top villages dotted along the rugged Ligurian coastline that can only be reached by foot or by train. They're charming and surprisingly unspoilt, thanks to their UNESCO status. Alternatively, head to the Adriatic coast to the legendary resort of Rimini, with its 15km of sandy beaches (2.5hrs approx).
  • Janet’s place is a little piece of paradise. Tucked in the hills of toano, it is a great escape from the business of everything. The views are stunning and the house is so cozy. There was no Wifi, which was a blessing and a curse for us, as we both work from our computers. Janet was extremely helpful when we got a bit lost getting to her place. She also provided such thoughtful touches - food and where to eat, and what to do while there. The pool was an awesome feature and we loved spending our days lazing by it. We can’t wait to come back

    Niklas2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a stunning property and amazing location. View is exquisite! Would love to visit again soon. Make sure you have a car as the nearest shops and restaurants are a drive away - but the remoteness (and view) is it’s charm.

  • the house is really such as the present site. Very nice, very clean with everything needed and a view of the vineyards and mountains. A private terrace with BBQ, deck chairs and a dining table outside. The pool is next door and very nice with deck chairs, umbrellas, to relax with a very nice view. the house is in the middle of small mountain hamlets with Quara, Toano or Cavola not too far to go shopping, have a coffee, enjoy an ice cream or eat in the local restaurants that offer quality and very affordable cuisine. Possibility of hiking starting from the house or a little further by car, the region is a pool of hiking trails for all levels (via ferrata also). Possibility to visit Bologna, Parma and even Verona in one day. The follow up before arrival is perfect, Polly sent us a guide to the area and guide the house with lots of tips. Upon arrival Janet greeted us very kindly and had us buy something to eat and drink the first night. Only small flat no wifi connection in the house but the 4 G passes very well, which did not bother us too much because we enjoyed reading. Many movies are also available on a hard drive. I really recommend this place for nature lovers who want to discover this beautiful region of Emilia Romagna.

  • Claudio and his partner are really available! The house is very beautiful, just like you can see from the photos; Easily accessible and close to the center, with spacious rooms and flexibility in managing the beds (we were 8). Spacious living room, with books and games available for all ages. Laundry room little exploitable but we combined the same despite being in many :)

  • Claudio's apartment is like a picture, inside they fill the space and the brightness of each room. The house is very comfortable and well equipped, we felt at home as well as at home. Our 1 year old was very happy to find a colorful corner full of things to explore! the communication with Claudio was perfect and, even if we did not meet him for work reasons, he worried that everything was going well. surely we will evaluate to return, maybe to see the landscape in winter! The only drawback is the location on a fairly busy road. with open windows you could hear a bit of noise but then again, I will definitely come back!

  • We went to racing in Castelnovo ne Monti. The place is ideal as a starting point for rallies. If you love altitude, this is the perfect area. Our apartment was ideal for our activities. Own garage for the bikes and a washing machine would be extremely useful. It is a 10 minute walk to the center and has a large selection of restaurants and pizzerias. Everything is wonderful. Mille grazie a Vincenzo e Luisa

  • The accommodation is small but comfortable, very clean and well maintained. On the ground floor there is a sofa, a table and a small fridge, going up a wooden ladder leads to the mezzanine with a double and a single bed. We are 700 m high, so fresh air and great silence. The house, in addition to a spectacular view of the valley (much appreciated by our two dogs), is a good starting point for walks in the surrounding area (in addition to the Pietra di Bismantova, not far away, just in front of the entrance start two CAI paths) or to visit the towns in the area, such as Castelnuovo ne 'Monti and Carpineti. The house is easily accessible and the dirt part is really minimal. Vilma was an exceptional host, she welcomed us with great kindness and generosity. His breakfasts were fresh and genuine, based on homemade jams and cakes, coffee, milk and homemade salami. All accompanied by his stories full of life. Thanks for all!

  • We were very good in our accommodation even though we were five people plus our dog. The road to the house is narrow, but this adds charm to the holiday, not a bad thing. Breakfast was excellent, served at home as the day was rainy. We are sorry to have stayed only one night, we will be happy to come back!

The lodge is part of the ancient Borgo at Villa Bonicelli. Recently renovated to incorporate existing features and a modern design, it now offers accommodation for a couple of people. The house is set on two floors with en-suite bathroom off the bedroom and an anti room. The quirky interior design continues down the spiral staircase to an open plan kitchen ,dining and living space. A door opens out onto a private patio, for outdoor dining and admiring the view.
The lodge is a newly renovated part of the original main house of the Villa Bonicelli Borgo. it has been designed around two people sharing a modern take on a small lodge. it incorporates modern equipment and design whilst showing off the historical building it is set within. Handmade ornaments and paintings sit alongside modern furniture and all mod cons in the kitchen. A wonderful patio for you to sit out on to enjoy the morning sun rise is accessed from the lower floor with your own entrance to the garden. looking out up the valley you can see the vineyards and the woodlands you will see all manner of wildlife including in your neighbouring trees a striking green wood pecker. In the immediate vicinity the river Dolo, which is in places deep enough to bathe, is on your doorstep and there are some spectacular walks that can be enjoyed directly from your front door. There's also a wealth of wildlife to observe – sharp-eyed guests might spot woodpeckers or Golden Oriels in the forest, deer and hare in the fields and birds of prey circling over the mountains. 'The Hunters Lodge' is very well placed for a day trip to any of the four main cities in Emilia Romagna, all of which are worth a visit.
In the immediate vicinity the river Dolo, which is in places deep enough to bathe, is on your doorstep and there are some spectacular walks that can be enjoyed directly from your front door. 'Casa Vigneto' is very well placed for a day trip to any of the four main cities in Emilia Romagna, all of which are worth a visit.
  • If you want to have a taste of the authentic non touristic italy you need to visit the lodge. Beautiful environment, perfect accommodation and genuinely friendly people everywhere. Would recommend to everyone

  • Such a cosy and pleasant stay. We stayed with our dog for 7 days, and enjoyed the walks to the river, cycling in the mountains and hanging out at the pool. The house was great. Lovely old looking house with a great well equipped kitchen. Book it, it's really wonderful!

The apparement was fully equipped with every thing you need to make you feel like home and it was very clean. Goat Cottage is a rustic 'glamping' barn in the Italian mountains near Bologna, Modena and Parma. The cottage is a romantic retreat for 2 people, it has a patio with BBQ and a pool, an outdoor bathtub.
Goat Cottage is a former goat shed in the Italian Appennines. It sleeps two people, and consists of a comfortable double bed, with crisp clean linen, 2 armchairs, dining table and two chairs. A fridge, kitchen sink, small kitchen cupboard, two ring hob. Kettle and toaster. All crockery/cutlery/cookware. Shower room with H & C water, eco (composting) toilet. Towels/tea-towels also provided. Outside there is a patio area with BBQ, outdoor table and chairs, sun loungers, a hammock and over-ground pool. At night the outside area will be lit by pretty solar strings hanging from the trees. There is a DVD player, but no TV signal, and WIFI on site, but not in the cabin. A hairdryer, straighteners, and an iron available on request. Guests will be invited to help themselves to any in season vegetables from the garden and fresh eggs will also be available. A selection of fresh herbs will also be growing near the BBQ area. We are situated 1.5 hours from both Parma and Bologna airports. So our guests won't need to go shopping on the day of arrival we offer a complimentary welcome basket,(for weekly rentals) with wine, bread, pasta, sauce, tea, coffee and a number of Italian treats. Alternatively they can choose to have a 3 course meal cooked on site with wine for 30 euro per head. Please note this is 'Glamping' like camping but more comfortable, a bed in a shed. Nicer than a tent but not a hotel.
  • Splendid and enchanted location in nature. Jill an exceptional guest.

  • Magical atmosphere out of time .. Nice accommodation in the middle of nature ... It has the privacy of an isolated campsite and the comforts of a modest but pretty little house ... Lucine suffused everywhere in the evening, the starry sky untouched by the lights of the city , an oasis of peace and romance ..

    Anna2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • A deer walking behind the house every evening, thousands of fireflies, dogs and cats, no noise except those of the wind and bird cicadas ... Perfect for true nature lovers

  • Fabulous place. It seems to be transported to a fairy tale, especially in the evening.

  • Had a lovely stay at the goat cottage. A truly secluded location in the mountains with great views. Friendly cats and dogs on site. Jill more than helpful for giving us direction before arrival to making sure we had everything throughout our stay. We recommend the balsamic vinegar tour in spilamberto.

  • We were warmly welcomed by Jill on the day of arrival and were overwhelmed by the beautiful seclusion of the property. The short walk from their house to our cabin already offered a spectacular view of the mountains - and also the journey through the mountains to the property was very nice and exciting. Since it was not very warm during our stay, we were glad to be able to use a small stove in the hut, which gives a lot of heat. The cabin looked exactly as described from the inside and the use of the composting toilet was not a problem at all - in general it was very clean. The big fridge definitely proved to be an advantage. Over the course of the day and evenings one of our cats came to visit us several times and is one of the cutest and most cuddly cats we have ever met. Anyone who sees himself as a nature lover, appreciates seclusion and has no problem with occasionally discovering one or two smaller or even larger insects, should not miss out on this accommodation! It was beautiful despite some rainy days and we will remember this trip for a long time :) Thanks!

  • It was absolutely great staying at Jill's place. Everything was exactly like the photos and description. The cottage was very private and it was great to have an outside bath. Everything that we needed was there and we could even pick fresh veggies from the garden.

  • Ideal to relax and enjoy nature in a magical and comfortable place. It seems to be far from everything and everyone, but actually in just 20 minutes you reach all the necessary services. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. Privacy is guaranteed. Spectacular evenings watching the stars. For ferrata lovers, you can easily reach the Pietra di Bismantova and the Balze del Malpasso. We will be back!

  • We were really warmly welcomed by Fernanda. Upon our arrival they made us find a bottle of Lambrusco and everything was ready for an unforgettable stay! And even though we had a rainy day it wasn't serious because we had fun with billiards and an evening swim in the rain! Beautiful view and above all the peace of the place surrounded by greenery and hills of Emilia-Romagna. Really a beautiful memory and a holiday that we will not forget !! So much relaxation and greenery, perfect for families with children. A nice memory:-)

  • Thank you for the great holiday. The house is very nice, the pool is gorgeous. A beautiful view, very quiet. Supermarkets and restaurants are a bit far away, but everything is easily accessible by car. We really enjoyed the two weeks.

  • We celebrated our wedding in this villa, we are delighted a lot! Everything was very beautiful, even the pool was opened for us before. All rooms are spacious, clean, mountain view. The house is divided into 2 parts (2 kitchens, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms each) The location is cool, what you need for a family holiday, beautiful nature, not far from the villa, went to the mountains (small). The hosts are very friendly, they have undermined us a bottle of homemade wine and homemade honey. In general, only good impressions!

  • Hospitality was excellent, timely and accurate communication. The house is very well kept and the view and the environment make it more pleasant. The outdoor space is well managed, even the pool garden, and it is an aspect of our stay that we really enjoyed. We found it perfect for a group of people, but certainly even renting the houses individually makes the stay pleasant

This Bunk house ( Rifugio ) is a newly designed space, for walkers, cyclists and travelers. It has two bunk beds, a fully supplied kitchen, a general open space and a separate bathroom. It comes with a drying and washing room downstairs as well as a lockable space for your bikes. This space can also be booked as an overflow to our other houses for extra guests. There is access to the shared pool where you will also get WiFi in the pool side courtyard.
This newly converted spaces has been designed with active people in mind. We have thought about what walkers, climbers, cyclists and outdoor thrill seekers might need in a short term lodging. Based around the idea of the Italian Rifugio, it is a bunk house. This bunk house , however is not shy on home comforts and has all the facilities for cooking and a long table for route planning and traditional social eating. Its an open plan space with bespoke furniture covered in maps giving new life to old furniture, with modern styled fittings and pictures taken in and around the area. There is a Laundry facility with this house, including drying, at no extra cost and a hanging area for drying wet clothing in the winter. The heating is designed to make this Rifugio operational throughout the year and it is pellet fueled for cleanliness and ease. Its is wonderfully placed in the valley with mountain bike routes, paths that stretch for miles and it is also ideal for walkers on the Matilda de Canossa pilgrimage route.
In the beautiful and quiet historical Borgo of Villa Bonicelli . Set in the Dolo Valley just off the Matilda di Canossa way and just above the river Dolo where the locals swim in the summer in the Roman pools. Surrounded by vineyards, Parmesan cheese factories and picturesque countryside the Rifugio nestles into the Borgo and is our newest addition to our portfolio of houses worldwide.
