  • I stayed here a night with my girlfriend. It’s a lovely and inspiring off grid home in a stunning location near the valley view hot springs. The sunny room was even prettier and cozier then I expected. It is very clean and Kit, the host offers some really nice amenities to make your stay comfortable, even free fire wood! We were both impressed and will be back if we take another trip to the springs!

    Leah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Kit! Spectacular views from a super cool, off the grid home. We enjoyed visiting a bit too.

  • Kit's place is amazing. It's beautiful and peaceful, has amazing amenities and is super close to the hot springs. This is my second time staying and I will come back every time I travel down to the valley. I would definitely recommend!

  • Nice n comfy place, close to Joyful Journey Hot Springs! Highly recommend!

    Kathrina2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Kit’s beautiful home!

    Jessica2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kit is very nice and the space is great. Private bedroom on opposite side of home, sustainable house is very cool.

    Amanda2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a cute and cozy place! We were in the area to visit the hot springs, and the location was very easy and convenient! There isn't much around, which we really enjoyed! If you're going to the hot springs, sand dunes, or nearby attractions, this is a great place to stay! Kit is very accommodating and graciously lets you use her kitchen. I'd suggest bringing in food since there aren't many businesses nearby. If we come back to the area, we'll gladly stay here again.

My place is about 15 to 20 minutes to restaurants and family-friendly activities. We are about 30 minutes to Mount Princeton Hot Springs and 30 minutes to Monarch Ski Resort. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). We also now have a propane grill for you to use.
Our property backs up to National Forest with miles and miles of trails. We have a pond on our property stocked with trout. You may fish in there but only catch and release and no bait. It is $20 pp. We have a canoe and a paddle boat you can use also. We have one bedroom that is private with a queen bed and the loft is about 5 feet high with two twin beds. The loft overlooks the living room downstairs.
We own 100 acres and our land backs up to National Forest with amazing views and trails for hiking.
  • This cabin is an absolute hidden gem. My husband and I, and our dog, just spent Christmas week in this beautiful little cabin in the slightly remote snowy mountains of Salida. Jodi and Clint thought of everything to make our stay incredibly comfortable and cozy. They even had Christmas decorations which were very much appreciated. Monarch mountain is only a short 30 mins away and offered so many fun activities, we happened to snow tube and snowmobile. Downtown Salida is only 15-20 mins away with many cute shops and restaurants. Is it important to note that you may get ZERO cell service and there is no WiFi. We didn’t mind this for a few days, it was actually kinda nice. Lastly, the cabin is small and we packed very large suitcases (packed with winter gear) which made storing them a little tricky but we managed just fine- just something to keep in mind!

    Emma2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi's place is great! It is so cozy in the winter, and it has all the kitchen basics you need! We loved our time there - the check in process was super easy, and we loved being able to bring our pup!

    Jonathan2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi’s little cabin was the coziest little cabin in the most gorgeous location! We wanted somewhere to get away from it all & this was the place! Feel so lucky to have experienced it although it was only for one short night. The Christmas decor made us feel so at home, the lights just added the sweetest touch & the views are just unreal. We spent the day in Salida, cooked dinner at the cabin and then headed out early morning to the Great Sand Dunes NP which was only a little over an hour away. Was perfect in every way & we cannot wait to come back!

    Jessica2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely going back! Jodi is such an amazing host! We arrived on Thanksgiving afternoon and stayed a full week. Everything in the cabin was clean and well thought through. Jodi is always available if you need anything. Her husband Clint is also a great host! He is always available to plow the driveway when it snows. Such great people and such a nice cabin!

    Laura2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jodi’s cozy cabin was the perfect place to steal away to for a couple of days and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. We did some local hikes and went into town for lunch, but our kids would have been happy to never leave and just play in the snow around the cabin the whole time, it’s such a gorgeous spot. We were very comfortable and relaxed (and warm, even on very cold nights!) Great communication from Jodi, especially helping us find the spot in the dark. A wonderful Air BnB experience.

    Laura2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin has everything you need to be a home away from home for the weekend. Comfortable bed, fluffy towels, complete kitchen for cooking meals. The sweeping views of the valley are stunning. My pup and I had a wonderful time!

    Catherine2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed only a short time and left early in the morning but the owners communicated well and made sure to come over and chat with us, which was really nice. You can tell they really care about their guests having a nice time. The property is beautiful and special and the cabin was comfy and warm.

    Erica2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Jodi’s cabin for an anniversary trip. Due to inclement weather and poor road conditions we were unable to make it to the cabin. Jodi was so kind and helpful in making sure we were able to cancel our reservation and were refunded. She was so helpful to us as we looked at the roads and weather conditions as well. She truly went above and beyond and we will book with here again for sure!

  • Lovely space under the stars

    Dallis2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a convenient place to stay to enjoy the outdoors and don't like camping in a tent, this is the place for you! The camper is stocked with all the amenities you need! They have a nice patio and a fire pit to enjoy sitting outside. The hummingbirds were so fun to watch! I was a little concerned about privacy because the camper sits right next to the owners house but once you pulled around the camper, it felt as if you had the mountains to yourself! Lisa is a great host!

    Rita2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome! We had a great stay at Lisa's RV, it was very clean and had everything we needed. Lisa was a great communicator and a wonderful host. We will definitely stay here again when heading to the mountains.

    Karen2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The RV is located near the highway, but honestly we didn't hear any traffic and we slept with the windows open. It was spotless, comfy, and parked so you felt like no one was around. We would stay there again for sure.

    Brenda2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in Lisa’s trailer! It was much roomier than we expected, it was very comfy, clean and the thoughtful touches were appreciated. We loved walking around their pond. Also, Lisa’s local tips were outstanding!

    Lori2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Just book it.

    John2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, both the rv and its location. Lovely place to wake up and see the mountains. Lots of accommodations and just an overall relaxing place to be. Highly recommend if you are passing through this area.

    Dani2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you are considering this camper, stop thinking and just book it now! Holy cow, this place was way cooler than we expected. The place is totally decked out with amenities and is super comfortable. At night, we got to build a campfire right next to the camper and sit in lounge chairs while we told jokes and gazed at the billions of beautiful stars only available in places like this. One tip to people who have never stayed in a camper before: Take your showers really fast. My wife and son got to learn that one. I guess I should have warned them, LOL. We can't wait to come back as there is so much more we want to do and experience and we just plain loved this place, that much.

It features a sleeping loft with 1 queen bed below and 2 twin XL beds up top (can be pushed together to form a king), full kitchen, full private bathroom, covered patio and private parking. Located 2 blocks from the river, this is the ideal location to experience the best of Salida - Bars, Restaurants, Recreation...
*** Please read through the entire listing before booking with us.*** Welcome to the Apartment at Howl! This apartment is most suited for a family of 4 or young people traveling together. If you're wondering what Howl Mercantile and Coffee is all about, you can find us on Instagram @howlmercantile. Our Apartment is sure to give you a similar experience to being at the shop. The 2 loft beds are only for persons +4 years old who are comfortable climbing a LADDER. Also note, the bathroom is accessed across a hallway within the apartment. The entire apartment is your space, it is NOT shared with the coffee shop nor do you have to worry about customers entering the apartment. We get this question a lot, rest assured, it's your space while renting. Our downtown parking space located behind the apartment is large enough for a vehicle with boat trailer. Please also note, this apartment is in the rear of a coffee shop (NOT UPSTAIRS). We open in the morning and sometimes have events at night. THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR NOISE. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am and outside of that, you WILL hear us. You have private access to the apartment including the bathroom (BATHROOM IS NOT SHARED WITH THE SHOP), but in the unlikely case of an emergency, we reserve the right to access the electric panel, utility closet or the hallway. We will message you and knock on the door should this occur.
Downtown Salida is the largest creative district in Colorado and has an abundance of bars, restaurants, galleries and shops. This rental is located in a downtown setting and shares an alley with restaurants and bars. Downtown Salida can be noisy at night and so this should be noted before booking our apartment.
  • This Airbnb is in a wonderful location and has all the amenities someone would want. Kimi is a responsive host who gave great recommendations for local food and fun.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Kimi’s place and it was perfect for our needs prior to a ski day at Monarch. Check in was easy with very thorough directions. The location is wonderful with everything you need within walking distance. We visit Howl whenever we are in the Salida area and thought it was really cool that they have accommodations as well. Highly recommend you stop in for a coffee and take a look at all of their cool merchandise. We will definitely be back sometime in the near future to stay there again.

  • Rick & Tracy's place is amazing. I and my wife enjoyed so much. Google can find the place without any problems. Rick and Tracy are also nice and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay so much. Next time when we visit Buena Vista or Great Sand Dune National Park, we will definitely stay there again. Thank you guys so much!

    Taguchi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Words and pictures do not do this place justice! It’s absolutely gorgeous. Every window has breathtaking views of the mountains and stars. We loved how homey and secluded it was, but still close enough to get to town to enjoy lots of fun things. And no day went by without a soak in the hot tub. Rick was a wonderful host and provided snow shoes and sleds for our use. We hope to return soon!

    Carrie2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic!!

    Anna2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing airbnb experience I've had

    Kyle2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best Air Bnb that I have stayed at. Rick was an excellent host and the property was outstanding.

    Trevor2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great at place to get away from it all. My family of 4 enjoyed 6 nights in this home and it was awesome. There is plenty of private land for on-site hiking and the best view. Locates close to Arkansas River for rafting and fishing and close to Monarch Mountain for skiing. We'll be back in late summer for some fun in the sun!

    Dominick2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed at; top to bottom. It’s a beautiful home with breathtaking views, and ample trails to explore and hike around the property. Then you can relax in the hot tub. You’re tucked away from everyone and can really get away from it all here. The best part was the amazing hospitality from Rick and Tracy. They are very kind people. They greeted us with the most delicious banana bread, and were so helpful from when we booked through when we left for anything we needed. Can’t recommend highly enough.

    Nick2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space was terrific but the view really does put it over the top! And if you think the mountains were the most amazing part, you're wrong. On a clear night, the stars were spectacular and unbelievable. Plus the banana bread that they made for us was delicious and such a sweet touch. Definitely would recommend and return 💛

Stay in a 2015 Airstream International whom we affectionately call, Judy. She is located in Sugarbush Campground in a premium spot. Surrounded by ponderous pines, spruce and fir trees, sitting aside a babbling brook running through the property this is the perfect base for your Arkansas River Valley adventures! We have lived in Judy for two years before purchasing Sugarbush Campground in Spring of 2017. Very cozy and surprisingly spacious for a 25' trailer with impeccable design.
A small living area/dining table in the front folds down into a deep couch or a twin sized bed. There are 2 T'V's, one in the living area and one in the rear bedroom. Judy has a Clarion surround sound bluetooth/USB port/DVD-BluRay, speakers in the front and back. We are leaving our library of DVD/BluRays for your enjoyment. We have provided kitchen utensils and cookware you may need during your stay. There is a refrigerator and freezer, three burner propane stove with oven and vent fan. A coffee maker and filters are stocked. Shower, toliet and bathroom sink are in Judy. You will find hotel quality bedding and towels along with shampoo, conditioner and shower wash. We have Elemente, a local handmade Salida line, hand soap and lotion products. There is a "queen" sized bed, the corners of the mattress are rounded so this isn't a true queen. Plenty of storage for your belongings. The climate control system; air conditioning, furnace and heat pump. We live at Sugarbush Campground so we are available at any time if questions come up. We will do a walk through to introduce you to Judy and make sure you are comfortable. We provide a fire pit, picnic table, and two outdoor chairs with a small table. We offer RV & tent sites at Sugarbush if you would like to reserve a spot for a larger group. Sugarbush Campground is located 13 miles east of Salida and minutes from away from numerous outdoor activities.
Judy is situated in our campground, Sugarbush Campground. www.sugarbushco.com
  • We had a great experience staying in the Airstream without the hassle of towing and setup etc. that comes with owning your own rv. It is comfortable and modern and very clean in a nice setting. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    Susan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future.

    David2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The camper is in the back of the campground, away from other campers, which is a nice touch. It was a quiet location surrounded by trees. The site has a picnic table, fire pit and a small table in between 2 chairs. The camper is clean and has everything you need including heat and A/C. It is a great place to get away and decompress.

    Susan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect place to glamp, will not disappoint

    Frank2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I enjoyed our time at Judy. There was plenty of space for both of us, The little boutique campground was fantastic and it was wonderful being able to cook and eat in Judy. Great launching pad for hiking and other Salida activities.

    Michael2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing stay. The location and the airstream are a perfect base camp for exploring the San Isabel forest. We had absolutely everything we needed! We will definitely stay here again.

    Rachael2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a great experience in the airstream. Totally want to do it again! Love “glamping.”

    Heide2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very much enjoyed our stay in Judy. Lily was easily accessible when we had questions. We've never stayed in an Airstream and loved the experience. There is more storage than you'd think and we very much enjoyed exploring all the nuances the space had to offer, of which the bluetooth stereo system in front and back is a big plus. Watching and listening to the adjacent burbling stream was great. Warming up to the provided fire pit (yes even in the summer!) helped round out the day. Whether you're knowledgable about Airstreams or not, you'll come away satisfied with your stay.

  • This adorable home is so special. I love all of the decorations and appreciated the special touches like a hand written note and hot chocolate to warm us up after a long day of hiking. Sarah also had great recommendations for hikes. We enjoyed pizza and a coffee and bagel in town. It was a wonderful trip in one of the most beautiful parts of Colorado!

    Meg2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfection. Seriously this space is above and beyond what’s expected. Lovely styling, perfectly finished, and spotless. We had a great time walking to the little restaurants and cafes after a day at the Sand Dunes. We’ll definitely be returning to Sarah & Eric’s place soon.

    Lindsey2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here. Great location, the neighborhood was picturesque and soooo quiet and peaceful inside. We slept very well. My husband said that the shower alone rated a 5 star stay!

  • I was so exhausted from my travel and had the best night rest ever. Felt cozy, host went ahead and had house nice and warm before I showed up. Wrote me a nice note and the best place to stay in town vs local hotel. It’s a must, if in town. Highly recommend.

    Daniel2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is adorable 😍. 15 min away from the hot springs, super clean. Easy checking and the hosts are amazing and responsive.

  • Sarah was a delightful and attentive host, going out of her way to provide me with helpful information for our stay.

    Sharon2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Dear Sarah and Eric, Thank you for our stay in Saguache, Colorado we had the most delightful time. I don"t know where to start. Think I better start with design, how very cool, what vision and art. I want to write, design people, COME here, fiber artists, COME here. We enjoyed every inch, every color, all the ways the light filtered through the windows. Then, not second, only next on the list is your generosity, the coffee, the hot chocolate, teas, the jams, the breakfast cereal, oil, sugar, salt and pepper, a full kitchen, thank you! I cannot forget the plants, well loved, beautiful plants. We slept well in the memory foam beds with all the cozy touches, many heaters, blankets, thick white towels. And the locations is superb, walking distance to downtown, close to trails, hot springs, lovely tree lined streets. Finally, it's your hospitality, tangible and helpful. 630 Christy House is special. We look forward to coming back again and will definitely share information of your home with family and friends. Sincerely, Kate, Kee and Eva

    Kee2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Eric and Sarah’s place is so great. It is extremely clean and well decorated. There are tons of cactus’s and succulents sprinkled throughout the house which add a really natural and bright feel. The bed was amazing. I was tired, and I slept like a rock! The bathroom and the entire house looks very recently remodeled. I would tell anyone to stay here. I plan on bringing my wife back when I’m not working! It’s a great spot. Eric and Sarah were excellent communicators, and they gave me some local food tips as well! Thanks for making my stay awesome! I wish I could give them MORE than 5 stars! It was first class!

While there is no plumbing in the trailers, you will have two newly renovated bathrooms with endless hot water a few steps away. These two bathrooms are reserved only for trailer guests so you will be sharing them with up to three other trailers.

  • Really awesome Airstreams. Very clean & super cute. The community bathroom made me nervous. But you only share the private two large bathroom with the people renting out the other airstreams. Overall wonderful, zero complaints. The hot tub was really nice to come back to after a long day of sight seeing. Highly recommend.

    Meredith2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The amigo motor lodge is such a cute place! I had to check in late and they were so accommodating. It was easy to pull up and get settled. The airstream was clean and super stylish. In the guide they said they have “surprisingly good coffee” and they are right! In the morning the staff was friendly and kept the coffee flowing on the lobby! Traveling alone I was nervous but I felt very safe there. I would definitely stay again.

  • Staying at Jeffery's place was just what we needed. We really enjoyed the home and the land surrounding it. Quick and easy access to local trails, gorgeous views surrounding the house. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Villa Grove. The town is very cute and quaint. Local art, cute town store and restaurant. Recommend a visit to the area!

    Shelbi2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, medium sized dog and I had plenty of room in this cute 2 bedroom trailer in a beautiful valley. Nest security system gave piece of mind, but seems unnecessary in such isolation. Property is vast and wild. Watch your children and pets! Hot water was a bit sulfury. Probably due to the local hot springs. You get used to is quickly. If you get a chance, ask to check out the larger building on the property. Wow! What a house! We will be back to check out/help with a possible disc golf course!

  • This is an incredible location along the Arkansas river. Make sure you have good directions (Google maps failed me). This was my first time in a pop-up camper, and I am glad I tried it.

    Andy2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • very comfortable for weary travellers and so beautiful that it makes you wish you had planned an extra day to enjoy the river and get a meal at the cafe.

    Brenda2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We contacted Rhitt when we arrived a bit earlier than expected and he welcomed us to come ahead. Marlyn had turned on the air conditioner and left a key for us and we were set. Unfortunately our phone service was not great, but wifi helped, and Rhitt provided his landline for us to make a call to our daughter who was meeting us. The room was clean, the linens and towels soft and comfortable. We were happy for a coffee maker and microwave and fridge. This place is conveniently located for sites in the area including whitewater rafting, the Royal Gorge, and Salida. We took several motorcycle tours while we were there and enjoyed those as well. I highly recommend this place.

    Nanette2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn was the host during our stay and she was wonderful. Very friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. She even had extra special treats for our dog and our toddler. We will definitely return whenever we are in the Arkansas River area.

This apartment is right in the heart of historic downtown Salida, surrounded by restaurants, art galleries and unique shops. It is 3 blocks from the river and the F Street bridge.
  • The condo is just as pictured; upstairs of this old historic building. It was a perfect space for 4 adults with the shared bathroom. The location was perfect for exploring all the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. We did not have any problems finding parking close by. The two beds are firm memory foam. It does stay a bit light in the bedrooms at night/early mornings even with the shades down. I would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to be in downtown Salida.

  • Charley, our host, is one of the true hosts in the world. He loves supporting in very kind and sweet ways. Literally no question is too much for this guy. We arrived at this little "writers retreat" in the dark having no idea what we would wake up to. The surprise the next morning was pretty over-the-top with views AND the most quiet of quiet places. We drank our morning coffee in awe. Digital Detox is a great name for this place; a place to re-center and to rest into nature. Highly recommend - especially if your a reader/writer sort.

    Sarah2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • If "silence is golden" this cabin should be called king Midas Cabin. Complete tranquilly and quiet is achieved in this amazing cabin . This was our second time in westcliffe and the stars were actually even more beautiful this time. Do not forget to visit the local sugar and spice bakery but keep in mind they are closed mid December until late January.

  • This gem of a cabin at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountains was beautiful and everything about it was perfect. It was tastefully decorated, had everything we needed and more, the perfect size for us, with extraordinary views of the mountains! It was wonderfully located for some seclusion, which we loved, with a special quaint town of Westcliff nearby and tons of gorgeous views to enjoy all around. The host went above and beyond and was very helpful. We would absolutely love to return!!

  • Charley's digital detox in Westcliffe, CO is a beautiful and relaxing getaway! This cabin is well equipped with a wide selection of games, movies and a few books to read as well! It was absolutely perfect for our family to getaway and spend quality time together. The views are beautiful! Pictures do not do it justice. This cabin is secluded and very peaceful. Highly recommended.

  • This cabin was perfect for our family of four! It's very remote without feeling like you are the only one on the mountain. Neighbors are near, but you can't see them or hear them. It was spacious, comfortable (even the beds!), well-stocked, had super nice towels in the bathroom, and just very nice. We had no problems or complaints at all!

  • Such a fun place to stay! You really feel like you're on vacation.

  • Such a warm and amazing place. Super comfy airstream, plus all sorts of other nice touches - hot tub, coolers you can borrow for hikes/adventures, fridge full of water/snacks, coffee. We loved it!

  • My son and I loved Francis the Airstream. Great place to stay if you are in or around Salida

    Bruce2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our time in the Airstream (Francis). Amigo is a great place in Salida. The coffee was perfect and we really enjoyed the clean and spacious bathrooms reserved for guests in the trailers. We will be back!

  • This is the cutest Airstream! We didn’t get down to Salida as much as we should have because we just wanted to hang out in the Airstream and on the porch! Such a fun experience

  • Amigo Motor Lodge is a great place to stay in Salida. The Airstream was a very unique place to stay and served our needs brilliantly. The hottub and other amenities make it a really fun place. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
The Private Room is located in the hostel to give guest a bit more privacy. Guests are able to interact with other guests as they wish, utilizing the kitchen and common spaces.
Our neighborhood is the largest historic district in all of Colorado. We enjoy keeping our character and the large number of small family run businesses in our town. One block from the Arkansas River and miles of hiking/mountain biking trails.
  • Tony and Kiwi were amazing hosts! They both are so nice and chill and very hospitable. Great first time stay in a hostel. The house dogs, Styx and Bruno, were sweet. Very cute, clean, and in a great area. Was really fun meeting fellow travelers and locals at the house.

  • You can expect everything you see and read in the description. A nice, clean place to stay for an affordable price.

    RuthAnne2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Check is was a breeze, they were very accommodating with how late we arrived. The feel was like any other hostel I have stayed in. Not too quiet or private as you are renting a room in a house with other people. The fire alarm did go off on the first night we were there and it was a little bit scary as it smelt like burnt toast or something from the upstairs suite yet noone came out to let us know what was going on.. This is not the host's fault unless they were the ones in the suite that night.. Overall as I expected it would be! Great location and met a few other guests who were super great!

    Courtney2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best place to stay in salida! The hostel is welcoming and in the perfect location to walk anywhere in town. The hosts are extremely communicative and the hostel is clean and cozy. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future!

  • Fantastic location close to everything in town. No uber required. Also met some great people who were also staying there. Will definitely stay there again in the future

  • The perfect getaway to gaze on the mountains and take in the scenery. Paul’s place has so many details to walk around and take in, including several antiques and beautiful artwork. If you go for a walk, there are beautiful horses down the street. We also saw a buck at sunset. Paul is a fantastic host who’s happy to help with anything and his place is truly a gem.

  • If you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet getaway in the mountains, this is the Airbnb for you. Paul’s home is filled with incredible art and sentimental touches that will blow your mind. We especially enjoyed his stained glass, vinyl collection and the view of the mountain range from the bedroom window. HIGHLY recommend!

    Charisse2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place is located in one of the most scenic spots in Colorado. The views from his property are amazing, as is his wonderfully eclectic home. Filled with beautiful artwork, instruments, historical artifacts, it is like staying in a museum. Paul loves to interact with guests and has amazing stories! We really enjoyed our stay with him, and wish it could have been longer. The bedroom was very comfortable, and we were treated to a lovely eggs & coffee breakfast. We highly recommend his place as a truly unique Airbnb experience!

  • Amazing man on amazing land. Stay for a while.

    MysterE2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This really is more than just a room. Paul's beautiful home is tucked away at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains (you get a spectacular view from bed). Only 20 minutes from Salida, it's the perfect getaway with beautiful decor and design (the clawfoot tub is to die for and the bed is so cozy!!) and Paul has really thought through all of the little details to make your stay really special. We will definitely stay again!

    Allie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space in a breathtakingly beautiful setting. Paul is a fantastic host as well. I would definitely return!

  • The best Airbnb I’ve been to. Such interesting and thoughtful decorations and so many little amenities everywhere. Paul has great taste and he’s an interesting guy. Definitely recommend.

    Derek2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We decided last minute to stay at Paul’s place and we are SO HAPPY we chose Paul as a host! He is a lovely and energetic person who spends his days making art and collecting antique things to decorate his terrific house. You can have long pleasant conversations with Paul whilst sitting on his sunlit porch. You literally wake up with a mountain view from your bed (very comfy btw!). You have a whole bathroom to yourself with a victorian bath and huge shower. I will DEFINITELY come back to Paul and his place if we’re ever nearby again! Thanks for all Paul.

Robins Roost is Modern real Log Cabin living, quiet, cozy and quaint. A 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with beds for 6 people and plenty of space for a few more if sofa's or sleeping bags on the floor suits you. Close to the Royal Gorge (35 mins), fishing and white water rafting on the Arkansas River ( 15 mins), skiing at Monarch (1+ hr), and public lands for exploring, hiking, and hunting you can enjoy Colorado outdoor living and adventure at it's finest. Wifi provided but cell service is limited.
Robins Roost offers amazing views from the front porch, you can sip coffee sitting on the Balcony outside the private Loft bedroom or make s'mores sitting around the outdoor fireplace. There is also a full size pool table in the basement for you to enjoy. All bedding, towels and basic toiletries are provided. You'll find all the cookware (pots and pans) and table service you'll need for your stay. Need to do some laundry? A washer and dryer is also available for your use. Firewood for the wood stove inside is provided, if you want to enjoy the fire-pit outdoors please consider bringing your own wood. Recently purchased, Robins Roost isn't new to Airbnb but was listed by another name be the previous owners. That's why you won't see a lot of reviews but I'm confident you'll find the cabin accommodating, clean and well kept. I recently remodeled the kitchen, installed a new propane "wood-look-a-like" stove for ambiance and safety and new sliding patio door.
Cotopaxi has a general store where you'll find fuel, basic supplies, groceries and a cafe for a great breakfast or lunch. Otherwise major shopping is about 45 minutes away in Canon City or Salida.

  • Hillside Colorado Cottage's was an absolutely divine place to stay for a weekend exploration trip of Southern CO. The location was unparalleled for both sunrise and sunset views, and the property was isolated yet still accessible despite it being winter and experiencing some recent snowfall. The cottage itself is the perfect size for two people, we loved it for a romantic getaway, and offers an impressive kitchenware collection. We look forward to coming back in the summer months for another stay!

  • Excellent stay in a modern cabin setting -- clean, comfortable, with everything you might need in the kitchen and bathroom. Very helpful and responsive hosts. I loved the beautiful walks along country roads -- just a short distance down the road and up towards the Sangres. This is a great location -- a real gem.

  • My partner and I stayed during Christmas week and had an amazing time . The pictures don’t do justice ! The scenery is so beautiful and peaceful. We packed a cooler full of food and the cottage had EVERYTHING we needed to cook! The shower is a great size and the water heated up quickly. Comfortable bed and well heated stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the city and enjoy the mountains .

  • Beautiful location, surprisingly easy to find! It is about 45 minutes to Salida, a very cool town but otherwise not near many stores, etc. The place was so cute and the perfect size! The views were beautiful and it was easy access to the Arkansas River. Thank you so much!

    Sara2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay as I knew we would being a repeat visitor and all! We love the location with all the wildlife + breathtaking views, the cottage is always sparkling clean, and it’s loaded with everything you need! The personal touch of their Peppermint + rosemary lotion, shampoo, + conditioner is so refreshing! I always buy some to take home with me! We caught our own trout and grilled at the cottages. We enjoyed their provided coffee and they conveniently have a fridge, stove top + microwave. Towns are close by if you want to eat out or stroll the town. This is our all time favorite place to stay in CO!

  • Best atmosphere in Saluda living space! Loved all of it. The view of the mountains from our room, the hot tubs and pool, the patio to watch the clouds go by and the stars at night, even games to play in the common area, and l9ve the idea of a black washcloth for makeup removal. Most importantly the feel of love for a beloved furry friend, Loyal Duke is everywhere...from the welcome mat in the room to the welcoming of pets accompanying you. We will definitely will stay here everytime we come to Salida.

  • We stayed in the Loyal Duke Lodge Queen, perfect for two people looking to distress far from Denver. Communication with Skeeter was quick and efficient. When we checked in we were greeted by Steve who was very friendly and informative and directed us towards F street - a 3 min. drive from the lodge - there you will find Salidas Main Street with different restaurants, boutiques and a river walk. The room had thoughtful amenities down to the plastic rocks glasses great to take to either one of two New LED lit jacuzzis located outside by the pool or the amazing smelling shampoo and body wash. They had a very cozy fire pit / pic-nic area excellent for grilling out- wait for night fall the pic-nic area is covered in cute twinkly lights. For our one night stay in Salida the lodge was the perfect choice. Thank you again!

Rafting/Hot Springs! Are you looking for an awesome place that the locals and travelers love to visit?! Our house is located in the beautiful Northern SL Valley. 3.7 miles straight West of Valley View Hot Springs, 3 miles from Joyful Journey Hot Springs, 35 min from beautiful Salida, and 45 min from Princeton Hot Springs. We are at the base of the Sangre De Christo mountains with many 14,000 ft peaks of the San Juan range. Enjoy our views from 2 large decks! Dark nights (no light pollution!)
Families w/kids will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We have a large shed which contains all outdoor furniture and other accessories. 4-wheelers and portable Hot Tub are not to be used!! Feel free to use the patio furniture, but return to shed prior to departure. There is a large "Heavy" marble table on our back deck, please do not move as it is very heavy! Master bedroom is a Queen plus, other two bedrooms are also queen size beds. Please note - we do not have WiFi and phone reception may be sketchy depending on your cell service. We use a portable MiFi while there and others have used their phone's "Hotspot" for good WiFi.
We are located in the San Luis Valley, a peaceful paradise in CO! 40 acres with locked gate. Elevation is about 7,600 ft which means it cools down at night during the summer and can be extremely cold during the winter! Secluded with only a few neighbors... so you will enjoy peace and quiet. No light pollution, the dark nights with the stars are incredible! You may see Elk, Mule Deer and Antelope right from the deck. You will need a vehicle as we are 1 1/2 hours from Colorado Springs and 2 1/2 hours from Denver.
  • Bob and Karen’s home really is a gem! A wonderful and comfortable home situated on acreage with the nearest neighbors at least 1/2 mile away. The stars at night are infinite and shooting stars fly by every few minutes. Pronghorn antelope walk through the front yard in the evening and elk walk by in the morning. The home has everything you could need and is located 40 min from the dunes and Salida with hot springs only 10 min away! We all enjoyed staying at Bob & Karen’s so much that we fully intend on coming back as soon as possible. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway this is your place. Surrounded on all sides by mountains and natural beauty this place is amazing. Additionally, Bob & Karen are incredibly communicative and quick to respond with any and all inquiries. Could not have asked for better hosts or accommodations!!

    Chris2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We have given this lovely home a name: The House of Wapiti. This home is very comfortable. Beds are excellent. The 2 porches gives options for avoiding the noon sun. We enjoyed the propane grill and the washer/dryer. Hosts are very communicative and are always available to answer any questions. Saving best for last: this kitchen was stocked by a cook. There is any cooking gear you need. Granted we were there only 3 nights. But, really well stocked. Best I’ve seen by far. Bravo;). Did I mention the great valley & mountain views? We’ll be back.

    Kim2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Bob & Karen’s place is cozy & the view from their deck is spectacular! They are incredible hosts and I really hope to be back soon!

    Chris2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our weekend getaway and our friend's wedding celebration in the San Luis Valley. The house was immaculate inside and out and had two porches that were perfect to watch the sunrise and sunset on. It felt cozy and was furnished to match the beautful mountains that surround it. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and made cooking meals for 5 a breeze. The WiFi was also a perk as cell service is spotty in parts of the valley. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area. The hosts, Bob and Karen, responded to all of my questions within an hour and gave very detailed instructions which made the entire check in and out process very easy. Thank you for everything Bob and Karen!

    Stephanie2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for your San Luis Valley adventure. Location is 45-60 min from the Great Sand Dunes (make sure to rent your sand boards at Hooper hot springs before heading there!) and 5-10 min from Joyful Journey hot springs. Quiet, peaceful and with amazing star gazing at night. The hosts were very thoughtful and clearly focused on making sure we had a good stay - going the extra mile to make sure the place was clean after a big dust storm hit the day before our arrival. The decor has a cozy, cabin feel and kitchen has all the needed tools for the meals you can eat on the back or front porch. Would highly recommend!!

    Stephanie2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a nice place to cook, rest and take in a beautiful view. Location couldn’t have been better to explore the hot springs and a few trails into the National Forest.

  • We had a great time at Bob & Karen's place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures, even better. We loved our stay! We felt very comfortable, safe, and it was very clean. The location was great, too. We just loved every minute of our visit.

  • What should I say? Only the highest praise for this accommodation and its great hosts! Everything was excellent (or better): starting with communication: every mail/ text was answered almost immediately and Bob and Karen tried their best to meet all our wishes/requests. The house is in a beautiful but secluded location. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you have come to the right place! Reception/ check-in: we were able to meet the hosts personally and were guided through the house and got everything explained. The house/kitchen is equipped with everything you might need and all the basic "staple foods" (butter, oil, salt, etc.) were available. WiFi worked perfectly and fast. If I ever make it back to San Luis Valley and Villa Grove, Bob and Karen's house will certainly be the place I would try to stay again! Many thanks again for having us!

NOTE FOR 2020: WE WILL BE OPEN FROM JUNE 1 THROUGH END OF OCTOBER! Our 34' Avion is uber-comfortable, offers heat and hot water, sleeps four adults (see description), has working refrigerator, full size shower, three burner stove, fully functional toilet and booth-style seating plus sofa. We love our Avion and you will, too! As always, Bob Dylan (the artist/musician) stays free. Extending this to include Neil Young & Bill Murray. Two nights max!
Located at 8100 feet on the 40 acre Red Cloud Ranch in north Moffat, this vintage (1983) Avion Ambassador has a full kitchen including 3 burner stove and refrigerator and on-demand hot water for kitchen/shower. Heated for cooler nights. Enjoy unadulterated and pristine water from a deep well. From your front porch, view the entire Sangre de Cristo mountain range, from Poncha Pass to Mt. Blanca. Outdoor fire pit is available for grilling and evening entertainment. 2-3 bundles of firewood are recommended, per fire. Regards sleeping, there are two xl twin beds, the dinette becomes a bed suitable for two small children or one adult (6' and under!). The sofa is a sofa but serves as a very comfortable bed (6' and over no prob!).
The north San Luis Valley is truly spectacular. The views are 360 degrees, the weather ever-changing with warm and sunny summer/fall days and cool nights - great for sleeping. Hiking in the Sangre de Cristo wilderness is a rich experience with well kept trails, running streams, aspen groves, elk herds and views beyond compare. The Great Sand Dunes National Monument is a 45 minutes drive south, and other attractions south include a crocodile farm and a ufo watchtower (no joke!).
  • Wow. This place is beautiful! The pictures are accurate. Doug is a fabulous host, we were about an hour late in the evening getting in, he came out to greet us and gave us a walk through. There was a fire waiting for us to light and dine on s'mores. His friend James was also awesome - he set up a fire for us on the second night we stayed; the trailer was more cozy and spacious than I expected. When we had issues lighting the oven, James came to our rescue! James also gave us some local pointers for our short road trip to Crestone. I cannot convey how breathtaking the sky was... I booked this spot mainly because of the night sky photos, and the fact it's on the cosmic highway - it delivered. If you're on the fence about this spot ... stop. Just book it. You won't regret it.

  • Great overnight stay at Red Cloud Ranch. The beds were comfortable, the view was great and the fire on a cold fall night was appreciated!

    Catherine2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The RV is absolutely stunning, everything is ready to accommodate you: fire pit, kitchen supplies, towels, parking space,... and spending the night under the stars is the best ever!

  • This was our first Airbnb experience so we weren’t exactly sure what to expect but this place blew us out of the water! Our gracious host provided s’mores for the kiddos and lit a bonfire for us even though we were a bit later than originally planned. We sat under the Milky Way at night and got some amazing family pictures in the morning. We left with a bundle of sage, which our host excitedly offered, and our souls recharged. Highly recommend checking it out if given the opportunity 👍🏻

  • We stayed for two nights. This location is absolutely amazing! Surrounded by mountains and terrific views. We had a bonfire both nights. Doug was so accommodating and available all the time. Close to the sand dunes and hot springs. This is such a unique place - very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

  • Very cool stay in a remote place.

    Scott2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Full of character, this unique stay was thoroughly enjoyed by the two us! Comfortable twin beds with cozy bedding was a pleasant surprise since I was worried about being cold at night with temps down to the 40’s. However, the heaters were more than sufficient and we slept soundly. Our host was kind, informative about the area and even lent us a pair of binoculars while we ventured to the national sand dunes park. The vintage 1980’s accommodations are authentic and funky while being very clean. The kitchen is well stocked for camping necessities and light cooking. We actually used the fire-pit Doug had ready to grill k-bobs night one. We stopped in Salida for groceries, they have both a natural grocer, a Safeway, and an excellent Butcher shop. Be sure to check out the local hot springs, hiking trails, and quaint historic towns surrounding this beautiful setting. Sitting in a valley between two mountain ridges 40 miles apart at 8,100 ft. Elevation is something you have to experience in person to truly appreciate the amazing views Red Cloud Ranch offers. Stunning! We would recommend this stay to friends and family and hope to come back again. P.S.- The guest trailer actually faces the back porch of the host’s home, so it’s not 100% private. However, Doug was as engaged as we wanted to be, never bothering us. But since Doug is such a great conversationalist- I advise you do chat with this intelligent & interesting man. We really enjoyed his story and knowledge of so many things. Thanks Doug!

  • Amazing stay! Easy drives to Crestone area where I proposed to my girlfriend on a cliff overlooking Red Cloud and then we celebrated with a visit to the Brewery. Drivable to the Ghost Town Of Bonanza, an odd little “UFO Watchtower,” and the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Awesome host and beautiful property!

Kitchen and essentials for cooking, small fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker. Grill and picnic table. I can leave the key for you so you can check in anytime. Howard- not really any services here. Salida is 20 min. There is a farm across the river to view animals. She sells fresh eggs too!
  • Definitely recommend! Super friendly helpful staff who treat you like you’re a friend not a client. The A frame was spacious, clean and everything we needed plus has mountain view’s from the front porch and it’s right on the river. Plenty of privacy but everyone there is friendly if you feel like socializing. There are plenty of activities nearby and there is a personalized guide book. Be sure to say hi to chicken Alfredo! (Rocky Top’s resident chicken) Thanks Rhitt! You’re a pumpkin!

  • This place is right on the river with beautiful mountain views and lots to do. Our host Rhitt went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome. The place itself has a classic cabin feel and has everything that you need. The cafe that is attached is excellent. I will definitely be back! It's like summer camp!

This spacious townhouse was recently (summer of 2017) built inside a gorgeous building that was formerly a historic, Salida church. It is located just 5 blocks from the downtown shops, galleries, restaurants and nightlife, only four blocks from the Arkansas River, and 6 blocks from the town's extensive system of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Ideal for a couple looking for a weekend getaway to have a true local's experience of this beautiful mountain town. Tons of local info in house!
Please note that the king bedroom is not entirely walled off from the main living space, as it's walls do not reach the ceiling and it's doorway is open to the dining room at the far end of the home. The bedroom is a bit like a loft, except on the ground floor.
  • Great, relaxing, quiet stay in a beautiful little mountain town. Though the place was definitely lived in by someone else at times, it was clean and they intentionally created spaces for guest items. The host was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and loved exploring Salida!

  • Super cool house. Quality remodel with high-end touches. Close to everything, with plenty of parking for easy unpacking. Loved the big kitchen, fancy memory foam mattress, and huge shower. Host was very responsive and helpful.
