We got welcomed by the cleaners of the house and showed us how everything works. Lovely and big appartment with nice balcony. Swimming pool is part of the total housing complex. By a little walk you come to the pool. Most of the time we were alone at that swimming pool area. Also a fitness room is available. Totally worth staying here and recommended!

António has a very nice apartment. He is very helpfull, giving us locations of all the beautifull spots on the island. Communication with him is very easy. Great host with an amazing apartment!

We rent the house for 3 nights but the first night we had to go to a house that was very close, by overbooking. The owner indemnified us with money that night. Apart from this, the house and the place are great. Especially the pool and the location of the house next to the beach.

The host received us and the apartment complies with pictures. Small precision: the apartment is not located in front of the pool, but behind the apartments on the photo 3/18. We liked the proximity to the apartment with the beach and the view when we were in the pool.

Ana was very nice and took care of me very well. She even picked me up and brought me to a good place to continue my journey at the end which was a bit help. The house was beautiful, clean and I felt great there! A great place to stay if you want to be in that area (it's close to Furnas which has a lot of beautiful nature, lagunes and hot springs) with a good cost for value ratio in my opinion.

Vila Franca is practically at the centre of the island, so makes commute to either side of the island comfortable. Ana took the pains to pick us up from the airport which I think was admirable. The house was as shown in the pics, clean and comfortable. Ana had kept fliers of things to do/ places of interest ; the bathroom had all the toiletries including things like sun-screen / toothpaste / toothbrushes, I.e. Attention to details. And the kitchen was quite well equipped. I enjoyed an evening cigar every evening at the comfortable lounge area in the garden. And just to add, a big supermarket just walking distance that is open till 9 pm, and rent a car office too walking distance. For the price on offer, absolute value for money

Joao is a really friendly and relaxed guy. He showed us around the apartment and showed us where everything was and told us to use whatever we needed. The Sunset Room, in which we stayed has access to the balcony which overlooks the Marina (which is really close to the house.) We spent most of our time exploring the Island with our rented car, which worked quite well (private parking available free of charge behind Joaos apartment). However, since we were there in winter, we found Vila Franca do Campo a bit deserted, but that should be quite different in the summer.

Joao is really a nice guy. Unfortunately flat and bedroom are note really clean. Strong cat urine smell on our bed and mattress. Very small bed. Not really clean kitchen and bathroom.

I liked the open, warm and social attitude of João. I was very welcome from the very first day of arrival. I totally recommend you to stay at João's apartment because you will have a great time.

Staying at Joaos appartment was absolutely perfect for us, as it is located right next to the marina from where we were diving. The room was very clean as was the rest of the appartment ( 2x bathrooms, kitchen, living room, balcony). We had access to all of these as well as a room to dry out scuba diving equipment which was perfect! Nearby there is a couple of good restaurants and cafe bars, so it's a good place to stay for marine activities. The beach is also 2 minutes away and is really lovely. Thanks Joao!

On a quick notice we found a nice home to shelter from the Azorian weather. João was very friendly and his brother Miguel gave us a lot of useful information about the Azores. Would definitely recommend

Antonio was reactive to confirm our booking. He was also very flexible with the checkin and checkout process, which was really convenient. The place is located close to the harbour, has a great terrace and all the things needed in a home to have a nice stay. It is also possible to park in front of the house.

On hot days, Marina Mar II (where Mystic Islands seem to own a few units) offers an oasis of quietness and a private pool that is never crowded. Within walking distance to the Marina (from which the boat ride to Ilheu is a must at 5 euros) and a fabulous seafood restaurant with top floor terrace (O Atlantico), the Vila Franca Do Campo Airbnb is still a good value for its luxury price.

We had a great stay in this apartment. Joao was quick to respond and met us at the agreed time. It was a great intro to the island and Joao showed us some great places to eat and gave priceless advice on places to see around the island. The apartment is very spacious, clean and with all the cooking amenities you could ask for. The location is wonderful, within 50 meters of the harbour (which you can see from the balcony), beach and lovely local restaurants. We couldn't have been happier.

Very good location of the apartment from the Port. You should know that there is a cat and cigarette smoke ds the apartment and so it is better now not allergic! A low value for money

Christina responds really quickly to all your questions, before and during your stay. She had put some nice local bread (bolo) in a basket on the table for tasting. The appartment on the groundfloor of a 18th century beuatiful house. The appartment is really spacious. You have a big livingroom en a big kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a big bathroom. The furniture and kitchen equipment was rather dated but functional. Everything is complete and with a nice atmosphere. You have a big garden with a nice view over the ocean that you can use for yourself. The natural pool in the ocean is really great! Our children spent hours in it catching little fish with a net and with a fishingrod. When it is high tide the waves come over the edge of the pool and creates waves in the pool. Our overall experience here is that it is a really nice place to stay with a magnificent view and a good start for exploring the island.

We had a fantastic time at the Casa do Arco. The pictures do not do justice to the size of the appartment or the space outside. We had everything we needed for our week. We loved sitting outside, just listening to the birds, looking at the panorama of the ocean and spotting the little lizards as they popped their heads up over the wall. The best bit was the amazing natural pool which was a short walk down the hill through the maize fields. Christina was great host and treated us with care. The girls loved meeting her dog Trigo who was very friendly with everyone when he came back from his adventures. A very calm and relaxing place to have a holiday.

We arrived quite easily to the house of Arco where we were very well received by Cristina. The surrounding area is very beautiful and the location makes the house an ideal spot for those who want the whole island. Still I have to also mention what could have gone better, the house should have been aired much earlier since had a very intense smell of moisture (mold), especially in the smaller room, where even the bed clothes had the same smell! Another problem was the fact that Cristina, unfortunately, have confused the date they entered other people in the house rented for us, we were then suggested that house we changed the morning 9. As we are not weird people accede to the request and soon the morning began to change. This is the same thing went wrong, the house was not clean! It would be the minimum requirement! Already by the end of the day we came to find that housekeeping had already been made but detected a deficiency in hot water, that is, the lack of it to be precise. In short, we spent a very good holiday but these problems could have been avoided!

Cristina met us on arrival with smile, local cheese and bread for breakfast. She is perfect if you need help or advice. Was always available on email or phone. House is as described - comfortable beds, siting room with TV, fair good kitchen... Once you get out from the house you have 180 degrees ocean view! grass, table and chairs, grill and kinda private entrance to the ocean in 150meters downhill. House position is very good in terms of good weather as clouds in this area are not so heavy ( i am talking about November). You need a car if you want to go around. Marina for dolphin tours, restaurants and bars in Vila Franca are 3min drive away. I would definitely come back to Cristina's place.

We had a great time at Cristina's. She was so lovely and accommodating. The house was beautiful and the view spectacular!!! We would stay again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend Cristina and her home to anyone.

Cristina got her days mixed up so was not expecting us until the next day. Since my cell phone died I didnt know what to do when we showed up to a locked home with no one around. We went to the next town and found ( finally) the post office where we could use a phone. We put in a phone call to airbnb and they helped us contact Cristina. She asked us to wait until 6:30 ( we were supposed to get in at noon) so that she could get the place ready. She seems to be a very nice woman, but when you are hosting how do you just get the day " mixed up" We are foreigners in a country where we don't know the language - we were very worried and this was the first time we had ever used airbnb - we weren't quite sure what to do.

Christine was very friendly and responsive host. During our stay in the apartment she lived in the house, but was available by phone and email. The terrace offers stunning views of the city and the natural pool - a great place for photo shoots and swimming in cool weather or waves. The apartment itself is very anturazhnye and bear the stamp of antiquity and some negligence, some items of furniture require careful treatment :-) For those wishing to use the grill and washing machine - I want to note that the grill is better to buy coal, and a washing machine is not within the apartments but the main part of the house. The dog was a wonderful companion Tigeyro in all our walks and very nice and friendly.

I would definitely recommend staying at any of Helder's properties as he is very friendly and helpful for those with any travel questions. Of all the Airbnb places I've stayed in, Helder has been the most professional, gracious, and thoughtful host. My husband and I are already trying to plan a trip back to São Miguel and will certainly be reserving a place with Helder. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe, and quiet, as is all of the island.

Great hosting! Helder is simply the best host we have experienced through Airbnb. For starters, we had a little trouble finding the apartment. (A short explanation is that set the GPS to Apartotel Mirante. Instead of running in there, continue 200 meters out of the way, until in comes to number 30!) When we arrived we had a really nice apartment. It was a little cold the first night, but Helder rushed out and bought a radiator to us the following day. No matter whatever happened, it was Helder very helpful and always available. The last day, we were even invited into his own apartment on the second floor where we got even more of his amazing homemade apple pie. The house is divided with several different occasions, but this is just cozy. There is a really nice garden where you can lie and relax and enjoy the sun. In the evening, walk 100 meters down the road and see the most beautiful sunset beyond the rocks. If / when we come to the Azores again, then there is no doubt that we will be staying with Helder again. There can only say positive adjectives about our experience!

This place is very much your place for the duration of your stay. Helder strikes the perfect balance between giving you your privacy and being an attentive host. He also rents cars, which I wish I knew before we got the there. Our bed was super comfortable, we had the best rest of our trip here. Our place had magnificent sunsets every evening. The bathroom is spacious, the kitchen is well-equipped and Helder is kind and will lend you anything you're short on. He also makes delicious orange cake.

This was our first week in Azores, and it couldn't have been a better start. The bed is huge and super comfy, the kitchen has exactly what you need with a very high quality stove (this is awesome if you love cooking!), the garden is very spacious and beautifully landscaped with so many bright flowers, the balcony has such a soothing seaview and is perfect for sitting and writing, reading a book, or having coffee or dinner. Location is perfect, not even 5 minute walk to the gorgeous , wide beach, and also just 20 min walk into Agua da Pau. But I'd come back especially because Helder and Ruben are such friendly, truly caring, superb hosts who went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable, and we had a really great time hanging out with them. Hope to be back soon!

Beautiful area. This is a large house divided into 5 apartments, one occupied by the owner. The orientation of the terraces is such that each apartment has its privacy and there was no noise due to other occupants. The area is residential, very quiet and relaxing. You can access the sea and swimming area (natural pools in the rocks), in walking distance. The "suite" is a small first floor apartment with room, a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the garden and the sea. The photos are perfectly consistent, very clean and very comfortable bedding. Finally, Helder is remarkably welcoming and concerned about the comfort of its guests, it is a very engaging person. I totally recommend.

Helder is concerned about the well-being of its guests. Her house is located in the center of the island thereby radiate easily. The accommodation is equipped with everything necessary. Parking is available within the property. We had a very pleasant stay!

Very welcome on our arrival. welcome gifts .Toujours available and listening to us. Housing matched the description perfectly in condition, large and clean. The apartment is great. The place is very quiet and (URL HIDDEN) is situated a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach and within 5 minutes drive from Caloura. In addition to its location, ease of access to all sites on the island of Sao (URL HIDDEN) excellent base for visiting the Azores, Sao Miguel in particular.

The appartment was great! Even more better than the pictures. António was not there at the moment, but his brother. Warm welcome and António did even come later to introduce himself. I would certainly recommend this appartment to others.

I would recomend Dieter's place to anyone who's coming on Sao Miguel, planty of free parking, and only short drive away from Ponta Delgada. Hose is very well maintained, clean and cozy. Dieter is super friendly and full of usefull info about the island.

Very clean and spacious, with a large terrace including grill. very helpful host. Apartment located in a busy street (traffic noise), some dogs barking at night can disturb.

The owner is a young guy, really kind and generous, the best that you can expect. He was really available for the time of the check in and even if we arrived so late he was waiting for us for all the day, ready to welcome us. the apartament is very comfortable for four person and it is very equipped with all the pots and the pans. Also the two bathroom were good and clean. The apartament is 20 minutes far from Ponta Delgada and is in a really good position because is in a central location and you can easily visit both west and owest part of the island. Personally, I really recommend this apartment!

We were staying 5 nights and everything went perfectly. The house has a perfect location for those who want to know the island and the decor is beautiful, simple and modern. The photos correspond to 100% of the house. Contact with Helder was quite easy and everything happened as planned and scheduled. We do not have a single complaint to make, neither the house nor the Helder, who on the last day invited us to a liqueur.

The host was very kind, he made us feel as we're at home. He also gave us a welcome gift and a lot of infos on what to do around the island. The district is really peaceful and really near to the ocean (5mins on foot). Nice!

Couple to stay in the apartment on the ground floor. Very nice area, on the coast, close to beautiful beaches, very quiet but a short distance from both the airport from the city 'ponta Delgada and in a strategic position to explore the whole island. Required the machine. The apartment and 'new, spacious, very clean Fresh bed room with comfortable bed, large bathroom with good hot water. Kitchen with good appliances, essential equipment. . Helder and 'very precise in his answers and information and very kind. Good accommodation for a couple.

We stayed in the large apartment on the ground floor. She was spaciously laid out, stylishly furnished and equipped with everything necessary. The panoramic windows overlooking the beautiful garden, the huge shower and a quiet yet central location on the island, the highlights were. Unfortunately, the rooms are a little damp which was unpleasant in the weather conditions in early May. However, it was also at this concern Helder with advice and assistance on the spot and did their best to our well-being. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Helder was a fantastic host. He was extremely communicative before the trip and even arranged a car hire for us at the airport. He was also gracious enough to come help us from the airport when the car was too small for our luggage! There was relative privacy in the space and it was in a fabulous location for exploring the island. Helder gave us maps and advice on where to go and invited us for a drink in his lovely top floor apartment on our last night. Highly recommend this apartment for a couple who wants to explore Sao Miguel and live in comfort.

The house is beautiful and very well kept, with outside space in the garden to relax with a beer or dinner and enjoy the nature. Helder is the perfect host, welcoming, very helpful and nice. He can give you best advice of places to visit and eat. We will go back to Sao Miguel because we fell in love with the island and will definitely stay at Helder's!

The place and the location are fantastic, very quiet, just 5 minutes from the beach. Overall, everything was just right. We felt very comfortable at Helder and come again any time.

It's a beautiful house with blooming garden in a calm area of São Miguel. Helder was a great host that made our stay very comfortable, starting with picking us up at the airport without asking ending with bringing herbal tea and ointment when one of us got sick. I would have one advice from personal experience: if something is missing in the apartment from the description, just let Helder know and he will gladly help, sometimes things migrate from one place to another and it's hard to keep the track of them. I would definitely recommend this place to everybody.
