Nordigard Blessom is one of the oldes farms in Gudbrandsdalen valley and surronded by four National Parks: Jotunheimen, Rondane, Reinheimen and Breheimen. To keep the houses alive and give our guests an incredible experience we have opened the doors for the public to experience a vibrand 17th century farm in Gudbrandsdalen, in historic and fairytale-like surroundings. A great way to step back in time for a moment but with all the comforts of today! Welcome to my secret escape!
NORDIGARD BLESSOM The Blessom family has for several hundred years operated the farm in the old fashioned way, where several generations are living together. Nordigard Blessom is a fully operational sheep-farm from the 17th century, where, during the summer months, the sheep can be seen grazing in the lush hills behind the farm. Gudbrandsdalen has a long tradition of welcoming guests, and is widely known for its hospitality. Whith visitors in the house, only the very best of food and beverages were served, and stories from near and far were shared. The village of Vågå was early discovered by English Lords who fell in love with the picturesque timber-framed buildings and the majestic surroundings. Vågå also became a chosen place of retreat amongst artists. Nordigard Blessom was already back in the olden days a guesthouse, housing numerous artists from time to time. The doors have now been re-opened for the public to experience a vibrant 17th century farm in Gudbrandsdalen, in historic and fairytale-like surroundings. Our primary incentive is for you to experience the unique tranquility of the 17th century log-houses on our farm. However, with modern comfort, Wifi may be used if desired. The atmosphere at Nordigard Blessom will entice you to slow down, forget the time and enjoy the simple things in life, such as our fantastic surroundings. And if you have a car at disposal, staying with us gives you the perfect opportunity to travel to Galdhøpiggen and Besseggen, or to places such as Geiranger, Stryn, Lom, Valdresflya and Rondane with ease. Located between north and south, east and west our farm has become the accomodation of choice for those traveling from Oslo - Sogndal, Oslo - Bergen, Oslo - Tronheim, Oslo - Geiranger and Oslo - Ålesund. For those spending time in Vågå related to business or otherwise, the offer of our home-like atmosphere and home-made meals has become more and more appealing. The farm is located a short walk from the town-center with grocery stores within a few hundred meters down the road. We offer rich traditions, wonderful newly restored wooden houses from the 16th - and 17th century as well as a barn full of animals. A genuine experience with a difference making guests come back time after time. Guests from near and far are welcome all year around. THE GIANT AND JOHANNES BLESSOM - a Folk Tale from Nordigard Blessom! Above the priest's farm in Vågå, there is a hill or small mountain, covered in fir trees and with gorges and steep cliffs. It is called the Jutul Mountain. By nature's whim, a gate can be seen in one of the sleek sides of this top. If you stand on the bridge over the river Finna or on the fields on the other side, and see this gate over the leaves of the birches and let your imagination run a bit, it forms a double gate, united at the top in a pointed Gothic arch. Old, white birches stand like pillars on both sides; but their tall tops can not reach the beginning of the arch, and if the gate was a church length longer, Våge church would be stand right under the arch, with roof and spire. This isn't a normal door or gate. It is the entrance to the jutul's palace. It is called "The Jutul Gate", a monstrous portal that the largest troll with fifteen heads can walk through without crouching. When someone in the old days, when there was more contact between humans and trolls, wanted to borrow something from the jutul, or speak with him in other business, it was common to throw a rock at the gate and say: "Open up, jutul!" A few years ago, I arrived one evening to the priest's farm for a visit. The family was at the seter; there was no one home apart from an old man, who led me to the Jutul Gate when I asked him to. We knocked, but no one opened. I did not find it strange that the jutul didn't want to see us, or that he rarely grants audience now that he is so old; judging from the many traces of rock-throwing in the gate, he has been run down with visitors. "One of the last to see him," my guide told me, "was Johannes from Blessom, our neighbor farm. But he wished he'd never seen'm," he added. "This Johannes Blessom was down in København to see justice, because there were no courts in this country in those days; and if you wanted justice, there was nothing to do but to travel there. Blessom had, and his son as well, for he had things to do as well. Then came Christmas Eve. Johannes had talked to the important men and was finished with his business, and he was walking the streets. Suddenly, a man from Vågå came past, wearing a white jacket with buttons like silver coins. It was a large man. Johannes thought he should recognise him, but he was walking too fast. "You walk fast," said Johannes. "Yes, I have to hurry," said the man, "I am going to Vågå tonight." "Oh, I wish I could get there, too," said Johannes. "You can get a ride with me," said the man, "I have a horse that does twelve steps per mile." They went, and Blessom had enough trying to hold on, it went through weather and wind, and he could see neither heaven nor earth. Somewhere, they stopped to rest. He couldn't understand where it was, because they set off again quickly, but he thought he saw a dead man's head on a stake there. When they had travelled another while, he started freezing. "Darn, I lost one of my mittens where we were resting; now my hand is cold," he said. "You'll have to endure," said the man, "it's not far to Vågå now, and where we rested was at the half way mark." Before they reached Finna Bridge, the man stopped and let Johannes off. "You haven't got far home from here," he said, "and now you have to promise that you won't look back if you hear noises or see light." Johannes promised and thanked him for the ride. The man drove on over the bridge, and Johannes started walking up the hill to Blessom farm. But suddenly he heard a loud noise from the Jutul Mountain and the road ahead of him was lit so much that he thought he would be able to find a needle in the snow. He forgot what he had promised and turned his head to se what it was. The Jutul Gate was wide open, and it shone from it like many thousand candles. In the opening he saw the jutul; it was the man he got a ride from. But from that day Johannes' neck was crooked, and it stayed that way for the rest of his life."
Nordigard Blessom is surrounded by four national parks; Jotunheimen, Rondane, Reinheimen and Breheimen. The farm is a brilliant starting point if you want to explore the mountains, be it by foot in the summer-season, skiing in the witer or by horse-back winter and summer. We're surrounded by abundant wildlife and with a bit of luck you'll see different kinds of deer as well as the king of the forest - Mr. Moose. MOUNTAINS WE RECOMMEND BESSEGGEN: Voted one of the worlds most exciting hikes by National Geographic! Visited by 35000 people pr. year and measuring 1743 meters above sea-level this hike offers adrenalin as well as stunning views. The boat Gjende III and Gjendine can take you into the depths of the wilds at Jotunheimen and Besseggen, with their enchanting surroundings and amazing places to explore. Most people choose to take the boat from Gjendesheim to Memurubu and walk back. The walk normally takes 5 - 7 hours. GALDHØPIGGEN The top of Norway and the tallest mountain of Northern Europe rises 2469 meters above sea-level. Not too hard to reach this hike appeals to experienced mountaneers as well as to novices. Expeditions to Norway’s highest mountain have been made from Juvasshytta cabin for more than 120 years. In the footsteps of pioneer Knud Vole there are daily trips to the summit from 1 June to mid-September. Organiser: Juvasshytta Open: Daily, 01.06 – 15.09 Time: 10:00 Price: Adults 200,-nok Children 150,-nok Galdhøpiggen can also be hiked from the Spiterstulen lodge in Visdalen, with a technically very easy, but still somewhat strenuous climb of 1300 m — nearly 4000 ft. It takes four hours walk up, two hours down. From Spiterstulen, hikers do not have to cross the Styggebreen glacier, and hence a guide is not required. Ardent peak-baggers may count three summits on the route from Spiterstulen: Svellnose, Keilhaus topp and the summit itself. BUKKELÆGERET Bukkelægret is a spectacular walk between Gjendebu and Memurubu. Bukkelægret itself is a steep climb of about 500 metres straight up from Gjendebu. This walk can be done in either direction and normally takes 3 to 5 hours.
  • Ingrid’s farmhouse is a lovely, nicely located place and I can only recommend staying there! Her family welcomed us warmly and especially the breakfast was a unique experience. Great hospitality!

  • If you want a taste of the real Norway and experience some of its farming history stay here. Very beautiful, authentic farm and wonderful, helpful hosts.

    Mary2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Can I give this place 10 stars? We were lucky on our trip through Scandinavia to have great hosts and great spaces, but this place and Ingrid & her family blew it all out of the water. It was so lovely to step back in time to this beautiful, peaceful place, with such a lovely family (4 generations! From the 97 year old great grandmother, to the adorably cute baby & toddler). And an extra blessing to be able to spend time with different members of the family, and learn more about Norway and the local area. And the breakfast was also quite a treat! Adding norwegian brown cheese to one of my favorite cheese now. It was so sad to leave this place behind, such an idyllic experience, and something we will never forget.

  • For those who love atypical housing. Living in a farm as old and well preserved was a great experience. Ingrid helped us to find feasible hikes with our baby and breakfast with farm products is definitely worth it

  • Eirik’s farm is well located, very charming, comfortable, warm and cosy. Although there is no sink in the kitchen, Eirik washed the dishes for us and we had no problem cooking tasty meals for ourselves. Eirik is an extremely friendly, warm hearted, clever and helpful host. He told us about many interesting cultural aspects of the region and offered us to visit his museums. Liviu, his assistant, was very kind and helpful as well. He owns very cute cows. Together they made our stay here an unforgettable experience! Tak!

  • Erik place is superb high in mountain. It's exactly as pics. Eirk and Liviu are great hosts. We visited museum where Erik works and visited Liviu's farm animals. There hospitality is beyond words. Place is great but bit far from city center, so if you are looking for quite place up in mountains with super host than go for it. We visited with our 5 yrs kid and Erik also became great friend with him. We loved place and look forward to keep in touch with Erik.

  • Great starting point for hikes. The stores in Vågåmo are well-stocked and open late, great for long summer days. There's a nearby toll road to Reinheimen and Lesja that is nice to drive. There are so many things to do in the area that we didn't even finish everything we planned. The hosts also can take up the dishes and wash them in a dishwasher, which is very convenient with the limited dishwashing space.

  • Very cosy cabin that takes you back to nature. Was met by Ruth Irene on arrival and showed around the cabin, were to get wood and the outside toilet. Stove was lit so cabin was nice and warm. Double bed, sofa bed and 2 singles along with a cooking hob and utensils. Cabin is in a stunning location on a small farm. Our kids also enjoyed the sledges that they could use before leaving. • I stayed for a week and I can‘t find any words do describe how overwhelmed I am. The cottage itself, the landscape, the view, and everything else including Herman was absolutely amazing. It’s even better than in the pictures - a real winter paradise. It would take too many words to describe all my experiences but believe me: Even though I am only 19 years old, I can already tell you that I‘ll never forget this time in my life! And I wanna emphasize Herman, who‘s been an outstanding host. We always stayed in touch and he gave me many helpful and interesting advices! And to all Germans: Er spricht super gut deutsch! Now my advice: Doesn’t matter whether you’re seeking for a lonely place to think about life or just a one night stay during your hike - if you’re already here, don’t hesitate to book!

    Alexandros2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • More than a stay, it's an experience at Herman! After putting on snowshoes (loaned by our host) and walking for a while, we were rewarded by finding this lovely accommodation! (Rather rough climb in winter) The view is incredible and the accommodation, although small, is perfectly arranged! Thanks again to Herman!

  • Havards place is incredible! The cabins are beautifully decorated and have everything you need for a cosy and homely stay. There is so much to see and do in the local area, with incredible views and lovely people. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to hire skis from Havard and explore the mountains on them. I can’t recommend Havards place enough. It was the perfect winter holiday! We will definitely be returning soon.

  • Wow. That's the first word I said when we arrived at this place. This is an incredible view! This house is amazing. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. Thank you very much for the Christmas tree and a lots of garlands, you made our Christmas magical. The house has absolutely everything! Everything in this house is magical. I really love this interior! We left a little present for you under the Christmas tree, and I hope you liked it. Our stay in Norway was the best!

  • A wonderful place and cozy welcoming hosts. Highly recommended.

    Siv2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend this place. It is very cozy and has a wood burning fire place that we enjoyed every night after a day of hiking. It is the most unique Airbnb I have experienced and Torunn is a great host with some of the best hospitality you will experience. I wish we could have stayed longer.

    Stephen2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is located in a beautiful farm with astonishing views. Inside the cabin there is a little stove and oven - enough to prepare a meal. There is no running water inside - but you'll have a water disposer with enough water in it. And Torunn's house is right next to the cabin if you need anything. Torunn and her family are very friendly, easy going and helpful. My husband and I had an amazing time there. We hiked during the day and spend the evenings in the cabin at the fireplace. I would definitely recommend this place!

    Magda2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely old cottage with ecclectic cosy interior. Torunn is a great host and we loved the farm setting, with some animals around and the informal character of the location.

    Paul 2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Torunn’s cabin. Very clean and had had a fun old-fashioned charm. It’s rustic, but so cozy. Our two year old loved the goats, dog, and cat, and picking flowers. Torunn and her family were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend staying here!

    Ashley2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Super lovely log cabin high up on the hill. Independent unit with basic comfort. Main house nearby for toilet & shower. It gave us the comfort & freedom we were looking for.

  • Excellent family stay in the chalet of Øystein. The setting was splendid, the snow abundant, the location perfect. The chalet is very pleasant to live in even at -15 ° C.

  • The place is a perfect starting point for summer hiking giving its location between the most breathtaking NP (Jotunheimen and Rondane). The cabin itself is very cosy and great even for a longer stay. It’s an absolute “out of a city” experience with a regular visits from mountain cows. We loved it! Thank you very much for the best holiday.

  • The place to go if you want to spend a few days in a cabin in a "village" of traditional Norwegian wooden huts. The area was beautiful and the atmosphere made us feel like we were in a movie or a fairy-tale. Note the cabin is pretty basic (dry toilets, no running water) but still allows to enjoy hot showers. We loved it.

  • Breathtaking views over the valley of Dovre. The appartment looks like a small castle. If it is cold outside wonderful wood heated ofen let you forget the cold wheather outside. Many thanks for taking care of my skitrip which was a little bit difficult in the evening. Appreciate the early lift to the Dovre station at 5:30 in the morning. Many many thanks for your great hospitality. I higly recommend that appartment and visited in late wintertime.

  • If you could dream up your perfect Airbnb and host, this is it. So worth the stop on a trip to Alesund or Trondheim. Not far from the Dombas train station, which is on the Trondheim route. I booked for one night and ended up staying two because I loved it! It's a farm, perched on a hill overlooking the valley of Dovre with its lush fields and friendly sheep-- and it's is a little slice of heaven. Clean, quiet and comfy with two outside patios. She and her husband's hospitality is heart-felt and she goes out of her way to make sure her guests get the best of what her village offers- which is wonderful history and rugged and beautiful terrain close by that you can hike in and refresh your spirit.

    Jen2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and peaceful house with fantastic location, lovely views and very hospitable and positive hosts! We had a wonderful stay, even got fresh eggs from the farm for breakfast. We would love to come back!

    Ingeborg2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rannei's house is great! Located in a higher position above the town of Dovre, the view is very good. The house is very spacious, and the large windows look out to be a landscape. The house facilities are all inclusive and warm and comfortable. Rannei was very hospitable and learned that we were late and made a delicious Norwegian dinner for us. There is a farm in her house, and my son has a good time with the sheep. A perfect journey, a home away from home experience.

  • Modern cottage in terrific space with all amenities one would expect. Special thanks to the host who decorated it for Christmas. It was very cozy. Alexander is a helpful host, who comes up with suggestions for activities and responded quickly to messages. We highly recommend renting a cabin with him.

  • We had a wonderful getaway here in winter - we were a bit worried about access but Alexander assured us the roads would be fine from Oslo, and they were! Good amenities, especially the sauna. A very nice place to ‘get away from it all’.

Welcome to the heart of the National Park Region in Norway! Verkenseter (Verken cottage) is located in Grimsdalen with a short distance to Rondane, Dovrefjell and Jotunheimen. This charming cottage does not have electricity or a water supply system. However,it has a gas cooker. Meet the host at Bunker Oil Dovre (search on Google Maps), and you will recieve keys, a water tank and a plastic box with towels, linen and other equipment. You will also recieve a booklet with instructions and a map.
  • What a great location to spend the night! All alone in nature and back to basics! Fantastic to be in and a very nice cabin! Erland will personally hand over the keys to you near the national park and will give you additional instructions. Great stay!

    Pieter2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Erland’s rustic log cabin outside Dovre is truly a unique getaway in the Nordic highlands. The property is part of a century-old dairy farm approximately 20km from town, with limited amenities. In return, visitors are greeted with an authentic, utilitarian Scandinavian home, complete with wood stoves, candlelight, and an outhouse. If you’re looking for a home to experience what life may have been like in days past, or simply looking to get away from the modern world, this is a wonderful place to be!

  • Back to the future !

    Lief2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful space in a unique national park. Fully off grid, with two fireplaces and wood provided, plenty of kitchenware and the beds are welcoming. The log cabin is amazing. I highly recommend a stay of several nights to be truly immersed in the experience.

    Chris2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The "cabin" is located about thirty minutes from Dovre, in the mountains, in a small hamlet nestled along a river. To access it, it is necessary to pay the mountain road that leads to it: 100 nok, around 10 euros. Erland gave us an appointment to Dovre to give us the keys, sheets, towels and a jerrycan water. In the house, everything is planned to feel at ease: good bedding, stove, basin and soap for a toilet, beautifully arranged living room. Many candles are available for lighting in the evening and dry toilets are separated from the "cabin" of about fifty meters. In short, very pleasant experience where everything is thought to feel in harmony with the place.

    Eugénie2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place in the middle between Rondane and Dovre. Incredibly charming cabin

    Håvard2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house is lovely. It is simple but everthing what we need was there. The view around the cabin was really stunning! Every morning we took a bath in the stream belowe the cabin. A perfect start of our holiday. Erland is very hospitable.

    Frederika2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely fantastic cottage in the middle of the Norwegian mountain host! Completely without modern amenities, we relaxed and enjoyed like nowhere else! Wonderful surroundings with nature's spectacle and a feeling of being completely disconnected from the usual connected stressful everyday life. Wonderfully! Time stopped and we wanted to stay there with it! Thank you Erland for giving us the opportunity to enjoy such an amazing place! We will gladly come again!

  • For us it was the perfect place to stay: fantastic, cozy cabin which also has everything you need, beautiful surroundings and a good starting point to explore the nearby national park. You can also go fishing and rafting on the river right next to the house, or just enjoy the view. Last but not least, Kjell is a wonderful host, who made us feel welcome there.

  • Kjell is a good host, friendly and very helpful. After the rafting it was possible to take a nice shower. The organic toilet was across the yard to reach, a bit to get used to but clean. Thank you for your hospitality.

  • We only stayed one night but Kjell was very nice and is good advice for restaurants!

  • We stayed at Kjell's place for one night and we enjoyed it very much. We stayed in a cosy hytte and it was very nice to sit outside. I would definitely recommend to stay at Kjell's place.

  • A truly unique experience of traditional hut life in a pair of characterful, old huts, with basic outdoor composting toilet. The larger hut is very user-friendly (for those who do not expect all modern conveniences!)and quirky. Our three sons found it much to their liking and spent a comfortable night. They also managed to cook a simple evening meal for 5 of us. The smaller hut is also very nice, but the upper bunk bed is rather close to the roof, so difficult for anyone who is not very slim and short. The shower in the cellar of the Kjell's house was fine. We enjoyed our overnight stay in Heidal. Kjell was very welcoming and provided towels and also a washing up service, which I had not expected.

  • Very nice place at Kjell, and super cozy cottage (s) with fireplace, incl. burn. Kjell the perfect host, who greeted us with a fire in the fireplace and outside in the grill. Lovely garden and in basement newly refurbished bathroom. Lovely with old fashioned toilet / tie in the outbuilding, for both children and adults. A really good cabin experience!

  • This farm house was amazing - just like the photos. The sheep were great to have around outside. We appreciated the tea, the very warm wood stove, and the well designed bathroom, which has been updated to be very high end and modern. Thank you for hosting us!

Passer for firma, familie eller vennegjeng. Old-style Norwegian farm pension. New bathroom and an upgraded kitchen. Calm and beautiful surroundings.
  • Fantastic old farm, great views and cozy rooms.

  • This might be the best place I’ve stayed in my entire life. We felt enchanted by the history, grace, and geographic perfection of this farmhouse. An entire trip to Norway should be crafted around staying here for a few nights. Every corner of the house is filled with charm, and the living room is shocking when you first walk in. Proximity to Jotunheimen was an extra treat. I’m very grateful to the Helle family for opening this museum-like home to visitors.

    Casey2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mette's house is an antique, where you can explore the style of a typical Norwegian farm in the last century. The surrounding scenery is great, the house is not on the river, halfway up the mountain. The bed in the house is really small, the toilet is small, everything else is good.

  • Magical. A 1800s home nestled on hillside overlooking the mountains. The house is an amazing mix of the present and the past. Our large family stayed here and we cooked our own meals in the kitchen, ate in the large dining room and the wonderful outside tables. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

  • The house is better than it seems. Very nice and with a very cozy decoration. It has a lot of privacy and to access it is not even necessary to meet the owner, he will tell you how to enter and where to find the keys with a code. Recommendation: to find the house, do not use google maps because it has errors. It is better to contact the host who will kindly explain how to arrive if you have any questions. Unbeatable views and a perfect outdoor terrace to eat. Very close to supermarkets and gas stations (5 minutes by car). Recommended 100% and a low price compared to what is really worth. Do not doubt it. It is better if you have a vehicle.

  • The house is a very nicely renovated and decorated old family farm from the 18th century. We enjoyed it a lot. There is plenty of good cross country skiing and beautiful nature close by :) the house had everything we needed to cook and live there easily, and Ivar's hospitality was great :)

  • We can just recommend The Cabin of Astrid and Ivar. Ivar picked us up at a supermarket in Lalm and showed us everything in the appartment. The fireplace was already prepared and you could feel immediately at Home. We liked all the lovely details they prepared for us. If you want to enjoy the nature it is the perfect place but you can also reach Otta in about 15 minutes and have various supermarkets. Also we did a beautiful hike in the Rondane Nationalpark. We Hope to come back one day :)

The apartment is well equiped, the sauna is a nice extra. Vagamo village is a 15-20 min drive where you can do al the shopping needed and where you can enjoy a good lunch at Bokhandel’n Kafe. Leaving the apartment you drive right up on road 51 which will lead you to al the hot spots in Jotunheimen.

Nordigard Blessom is a vibrant 17th century farm in Gudbrandsdalen, placed in historic and fairytale-like surroundings. A great way to step back in time for a moment but with all the comforts of today! Welcome to my secret escape in the Gudbrandsdalen valley-a true Norwegian experience!
The Blessom family has for several hundred years operated the farm in the old fashioned way, where several generations are living together.
Expeditions to Norway's highest mountain have been made from Juvasshytta cabin for more than 120 years. • Great hosts, we were treated with a complimentary dinner because we traveled a lot. Great place, stay longer!

  • This stay is the best I've had in a long time. Everything was far beyond expectation, and it was truly sad to leave this lovely place and Ingrid's nice family. We will definitely be back, hopefully we will stay longer than a day then, because here we really enjoyed. Especially the breakfast and hospitality of ingrid's family was outstanding. Thanks for staying with you!

  • We were lucky to come across this accommodation during the Christmas holidays, they welcomed us and fed us as members of their family and we tasted all kinds of local specialties. We feel so grateful to have had this experience in the company of these people! I highly recommend this accommodation

  • Ingrid’s place was spacious and much special. Her family gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. Communications were clear and there was a nice homemade breakfast for us. Love the place

  • We loved everything about our stay at Ingrid’s farm. It was all so nice. The breakfast was great, her parents warm and friendly, the bells on the sheep relaxing and the atmosphere of the old homes and buildings incredible. We could have stayed there a week. We’d definitely recommend her farm and would return in a heartbeat. Go there, you will not regret it!

  • It's really like a fairytale. The cabins have charm and the hostess is a gold piece. And the breakfast of total madness! Too bad we only stayed there one night :(

Nordigard Blessom is one of the oldes farms in Gudbrandsdalen valley and surronded by four National Parks: Jotunheimen, Rondane, Breheimen and Reinheimen.
The home is so cosy and the family are so welcoming and friendly, one of the best places me and my girlfriend have been and would love to return there again one day! • We had an awesome stay at Ingrid’s home. Ingrid and her family are very welcoming and made us an amazing breakfast, very tasty and with local specialities. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and very spacious, and the house itself in it’s ancient looking style was beautiful to watch. I really recommend staying here.

  • Beautiful farm in a great location. Breakfast was delicious! They were so thoughtful and helped us pick hikes every day. They even helped do our laundry for us. Loved the fresh flowers, plums, and chocolate in the room.

  • A farm full of history and run by a lovely family. The room we had (the yellow one) has unforgettable views towards the valley. Shared kitchen for guest use. The breakfast is fabulous. Sidsel gave us all kinds of information focused on hiking in the Jotunheimen area. There is a supermarket and many services in the center of Vagamo, accessible in two minutes from the accommodation. The location is perfect for exploring Rondane and the easternmost part of Jotunheimen. We would love to return, and we definitely recommend this farm!

  • The farmhouse had a beautiful view over the valley and town below. There was also a common kitchen where guests could cook their own meals. We especially loved the breakfast prepared by the hosts (think freshly baked bread every morning!) who also gave tips on scenic drives and hikes to take.

  • Truly a magical experience. All we could have asked for and more. Best breakfast ever in an Airbnb one of the best ever. A chance to meet fellow guests and the family. A fine new restaurant in town. You must visit here if you can - it was a little out of our way but will always remember taking the extra time to drive to the farm.
