I'd stay here again if in the area!

Steve's "escape for a night" is the perfect getaway, in a great location, easy walking distance to town for dinner, desert, cocktails or just enjoying the scenery. We explored the Saturday morning Farmers Market downtown Pleasantville and picked up some local cheese and fresh bread that we later enjoyed on Steve's back deck while taking in the sun and beautiful spring breeze. Our room was cozy and comfortable and everything you could think of was provided; tea, coffee, fridge and microwave. We enjoyed our two night stay and next time we'll travel on the Metro North train because Steve's place is a short distance from the train station. Highly Recommend!!!!

Steven was a gracious host and showed us in late Friday evening. He arrived at the car with an umbrella as it was raining. Of course a basement apartment is not ideal after three days of rain. So someone with allergies might want to plan accordingly. The location was super convenient and it was a good value.

We had a lovely time staying here. He was incredibly helpful and communicative. Would definitely stay here again!

Steven's place was exactly as described. Checking in was very easy... we told Steven that we would be a little late and he gave us precise instructions on how to find his place and how to self-check in. The room was comfortable and it was a pleasure to have a refrigerator, coffee machine, plates and cutlery available to the guests. We met Steven on our second night and he was very down to earth and friendly... I enjoyed chatting with him. We recommend his place and will return again.

Always perfect!

Les's place and the way he hosted deserved 6 stars! We actually extended our stay once we got there because we didn't want to leave :) The apartment itself is immaculate and stocked with all the things you need. I can't really do the apartment justice except to say, I think anybody would be happy if they were able to live in such a beautiful home. Les's place is less than 5 mins from the train station and about the same from the center of town. We were able to find great sushi, crepes, and sandwiches all within minutes walk. It also feels quite secluded and we found it so good to be able to 'hide away' in the home and then step out and feel connected to the word. I honestly do not have a single bad thing to say! Everything from the quality of the home to the snacks in the kitchen to Les's welcome and the town of Pleasantville beat our expectations in myriad ways. I'd be back in a heartbeat for any sort of relaxing getaway.

Les's apartment is the best. great kitchen, great beds, and great tv.

Although our stay was short, Les provided all of the necessities we could have needed to have a comfortable stay. The place is pristine and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was stocked with drinks/snacks and all of the essential pots and pans. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Les was also available by phone or in person if needed. Overall, a great place to stay!

I absolutely loved this place. Aside from being spotless, the design and layout are a great mix of modern and cozy. It is a very relaxing environment and the host are very thoughtful. I will definitely book this place again. I stayed in 3 different hotels during my week in New York. This place is by far a better choice. More space, more comfort, and more convenience than the hotels. Wonderful Experience!

What a great few days in Haverstraw. The whole family was so welcoming and communication was super easy. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was amazingly comfortable. If you have to be in Northern Rockland County for business or visiting friends/relatives, this is a hidden gem where you can stay. 100% a great place to stay.

I made a spontaneous trip to New York and Kate responded almost immediately to my booking request. Even though it was within 4 hours of arriving, Kate and her family still accommodated me even with my late arrival. The house was beautiful and in a perfect location, within 20-25 mins from Bear Mountain. Though I did not meet them due to my late arrival and early departure, I could sense there hospitality and welcome with the fruits and coffee available to me in the kitchen. 100% would book with them again if I decide to visit New York.

Comfortable place at reasonable cost, it was just what I wanted for an overnight stay so I could attend my 50th High School reunion in neighboring Briarcliff.

Very nice room, Steve was busy with his son's graduation but he still kept the room clean and prepared; he also suggested nearby restaurants, and it helped me a lot also. Pleasantville was such a nice place that I enjoyed walking around so much. Overall very nice room in absolutely beautiful location.

The room is nice and clean with a nice adjacent bathroom and a handy coffee set up if you don't want to go searching for a coffee shop. The town is quaint, but beautiful and near a lot of shops and places to eat, plus it is very close to the train that will take you into the city. A good place for the low cost.

My mother and I really like his place. It's clean, nice, very vintage, and he is very friendly. The place is cosy and Steven is really friendly as well. I really like his cats as well.

Steven was a great host, very communicative, helpful and generous beyond his duty! The "front room" was clean and comfortable as described, but I should mention that it's in the basement of the house, with very little natural light (from a narrow window by the ceiling). The shared bathroom was clean and we had access to a Keurig coffee machine and a nice porch with a ping pong table. Good quality/price in a beautiful town!

Steven's place is awesome. His set-up in the lower level of his house is perfect for Airbnb -separate from the host residence with nice bathroom and kitchenette area. Bed is comfy and room is quiet. Bathroom and kitchenette are shared with other Airbnb guest. Street parking was always available right in front if the house. Super convenient to Metro North and Saw Mill Parkway. Steven is so friendly and made sure I had what I needed.

It was a very short trip to Kathi's house-but a great trip. This is a great place to stay for anyone eating at Stone Barns. Literally a 5 minute drive-so after a 4 hour meal it was great to be so close. Kathi was so welcoming and had a nice breakfast/tea/coffee set up for us. The place was clean, affordable and overall a great stay.

We stayed for one night at Lisa and Alan's lovely house - we loved that everything was authentic and very well put together. The location was serene and surrounded by an enchanted forest. We essentially had our own floor in the house so very private. The experience doesn't compare to staying at a corporate hotel.

This house has a rich history. Super comfy bed. Extra soft linens and towels. Marble bathroom. Really fascinating wallpaper and ceiling downstairs. So glad I decided to stay here. Also definitely grab a bite around the corner at the Market, delicious prep'd food.

Tara was very accomodating with check in, despite me having to come much later than planned. Very clean and cozy. Tara made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay and even provided breakfast! Would definitely stay again.

This was a lovely stay in all respects: Tara has a stylish place in an excellent location, right off Tarrytown road but down a dead end street so real quiet. The room is small but very comfortable and cozy with enough room for nice antique pieces and a comfortable upholstered chair. Tara is wonderful; very responsive and fun and easy to talk to. I left feeling like I had left a friend's house. The back yard is beautiful with a back stone hill as s backdrop to a flat patio. Really enjoyed her place and so reasonably priced for what you get.

Kathi is amazing and so is her place. It's little off New York but i had to work at the Rockefeller Centre and her place is 5mints car ride to the place. Jake and Sarah have a beautiful home. I moved around through AirBnB a few times now while transitioning through a move across country, and they have made me feel more at home than I have felt since leaving mine. Jake is currently renovating the property himself and it is absolutely beautiful. Sarah's design makes this experience seem like a high class hotel stay. This house is clean, tidy, inviting, and comes with good company. Finding this place was a great thing for me, and I feel that their home would be for most anyone. I have no reservations of my stay, I would stay with them again without question. Good time, great people.

I had a great stay at Tim's place ! It's a very cute apartment right on main st in Tarrytown, perfect for a single traveler. Everything is at walkable distance and there's tons of nice restaurants and bars around in this lovely town. Tim is a very kind and interesting person and was an available and very nice host. There's many beautiful spots to explore in the region from here and it's easy to bike around on lovely nature trails from one town to the other ! I would definitely come back and recommend this place :)

Nice house, but very difficult host.

Ivone's place had a very zen, tranquil aesthetic, had lots of plants in it, and smelled nice- I think she uses aromatherapy or something. Ivone was a welcoming, attentive, and flexible host- when she found out that I could not stay for the second day, she immediately refunded the extra day's costs. Also, she was kind enough to drive me around to my interview and to get food, and offered to share organic juices, fruits, yogurt, and brie cheese from her fridge. Overall, a very relaxing, great place to stay.

Jean really went the extra mile while I was staying wirh her! I would highly recommend her home. If you're staying for a long period of time, I would recommend renting a car, though the grocery store and city center are within a mile.

It was a distinct pleasure staying with Jean for a week. She communicated with me before I arrived,and made it possible to change my dates..she always got back to me quickly When I arrived, she showed me around and explained everything..she left some tooth paste and other items..the room was a good sized room with a television, a fan and a refrigerator..the bathroom was upstairs, and I always prefer one that is on the same floor, but it was clean and had a good shower Jean gave me suggestions about Pearl River and always responded to my questions...The room was comfortable and about one mile from the center of (URL HIDDEN) helps if you have a car..lots of restaurants and a great public library and a gym with a good weekly rate made it even better Check out Jean's place if you are in the Nyack/Pearl River area She is very pleasanr and accommodating

A beautiful home right in the heart of Tarrytown. My family loved our stay

This is the greatest AirBnB in New York State.

The place is terrific! It is close to the train station (Metro North) and to a local bus line. A drugstore, a supermarket, restaurants, coffee houses are all within walking distance from the house. Even one of the major attractions of the area - Phillipsburg Manor - is within walking distance (about 25-30 minutes walking at a leisurely pace). The kitchen is fully equipped for making meals at home. The setting is a lovely - blue jays and red cardinals are regular visitors, so if you love birds, bring a good camera! The house itself is very charming, airy, spacious, and has a very nice positive vibe. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Stayed here for a weekend to attend a family wedding in town. The house is lovely, clean and has an absolutely stunning and charming view. Mary's description of the location and house are completely accurate. We were traveling with our 2 and 4yr old, as Mary states there are lots of steps outside and in the house so close supervision is a must. Besides the view, a couple of things that stood out were amazing sheets, nice bathrooms, the little eat in porch and wonderful light throughout the house. Sadly the weather was terrible on top of a busy weekend so we weren't able to explore the center of town too much. Took a quick walk for coffee and saw plenty of cute restaurants. Mary was quick to respond and offered plenty of suggestions to ensure we had a smooth stay!

We had such a great stay in Mary´s beautiful home, with a great view on the Hudson. The house came with everything we needed. The fact that it is build on a hill is no problem at all, as you can easily enter the premises from both sides, so that you can easily park the car uphill and walk down or take the lower entrance to get to the city and back (we even managed to do so with a toddler and stroller). Highly recommended and we will definitely come back!

Mary's place is exactly as described. Lots of space and good location. It's an easy walk to Tarrytown's Main St and the train station is a little bit more down the hill. There's also a designated parking space if you're traveling with a car. Great value!

Absolutely loved staying at Carolyn's home. So scenic and calm and she has the cutest, friendliest cat I've ever met. Insanely comfortable bed and many pillows just as I like it. Would recommend for others to come and visit. I'm actually going back again next week!

This is one of my favorite AirBnb places so far. The location was easy, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room and house were clean. If I could rate this stay more than 5 stars, I would, because Carolyn is a fantastic host and her home is wonderful.

I reserved a room at Carolyn's place so a dear friend and I could have a reunion weekend getaway. We were looking for a beautiful location with access to outdoor fun, and we found it in Piermont at Carolyn's beautiful home. The town is just lovely, and there are plenty of tasty restaurant's within walking distance of Carolyn's home (we didn't have to drive at all once we got to her place). We walked down to the river and rented a canoe on Sunday, and had the most fun. The room we stayed in at Carolyn's was spotlessly clean, and there is a huge window that faces trees and you can peer through the leaves to see the river (probably a very clear view of the water in the winter). The bed was insanely comfortable - we really felt like we lucked out, especially with such a reasonable price. Her home is filled with natural light, plants, artwork, and is just very beautiful. Carolyn was excellent with communication, and terribly kind and friendly. She shared information about the town with us, special events going on, and gave us a great suggestion for a delicious breakfast spot. We had such a nice time, we are definitely thinking about returning for another getaway sometime. Thank you Carolyn!

A simple, pleasant room in a family neighborhood. The directions were great, check in was a breeze and the room comfortable, clean, and private. I loved the porch outside!

Julie & Christina were gracious hosts and my husband and I were very pleased. We had a second floor bedroom with en suite bathroom that was cheerful, clean and comfortable. Although the house appeared old, the air conditioner worked well; the shower was a pleasure; and our private balcony was a perfect place to sit with a cup of coffee and listen to the birds. Our room included a coffee maker, coffee, tea, & all that goes with it; wine glasses & a cork screw; shampoo, conditioner, & nice choices of soaps in the bathroom; hair dryer, hand cream on the night stand, and even two yummy Lindt chocolates and a convenient parking space. The house is located in a friendly neighborhood that was having a block party on one of the nights we were there, and Julie & Christina invited us. Ossining is on the Hudson, where many towns are getting revitalized. While we were there, we visited family and met friends in nearby Peekskill.

I needed a short, cozy retreat and that's exactly what I got! Julie is so friendly and really made me feel at home, and the space couldn't have been lovelier. From the warm and soft bedding to the Himalayan salt lamp, I truly felt like I was far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the best parts of the stay was getting an incredible massage from Julie at her private massage studio—amazing! I'm very pick about my massages so believe when I tell you that she's extremely gifted. The porch is also a nice place to chill, and the whole stay truly helped me decompress. I left feeling brand new! PS - Amazing coffee place on the way to the train.

Julie's space is charming and extremely comfortable. We especially liked the little details throughout, like the drinks and snacks on hand. Also, the historical tidbits about the property that were in the welcome binder were really cool to read about. PERFECT location, so easy to get to the shops and restaurants as well as the Aqueduct trail where you can run, bike, or walk for miles! The host wasn't around the weekend we visited but his girlfriend Elisabeth was so kind and accomodating, she even offered to pick us up at the train station which was so generous. Randy's place is so clean and updated but with tons of character, making it a really unique place to stay. It was the perfect weekend getaway for us Manhattaners to get some fresh air and outdoor living, we will definitely be back!

This was my second stay in Randy's place, and it was just as wonderful as my first stay. Elisabeth was my host this time, and she was as welcoming and thoughtful as Randy. She provided food and drink for a few meals, including fresh produce, and added thoughtful, pleasing touches like fresh flowers and cold water with mint. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the proximity to the aquaduct walking trail.

Randy's place was very comfortable and I would highly recommend it to someone who is visiting New York for a few days or more. Having a fully functioning kitchen and a large bathroom are luxuries in New York. We had a rental car and never had a problem finding parking. Restaurants and shopping were not far. We ate at an Italian restaurant in the quaint downtown called Sam's. All 3 of our meals were authentic and delicious. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated, with a comfortable couch, lots of light, original hardwood plank floors. The owner had coffee, tea, juice, fruit and muffins for our first breakfast. For us, it was perfect. One note to future guests is that the apartment is a third floor walk-up. I loved that, but that may not be for everyone. I definitely will stay again when in the area if it's available. I couldn't have asked for better accommodations.

Randy's apartment in Dobb's Ferry was lovely with everything you need for a comfortable stay--soft sheets, fluffy towels, a big bathroom, and a fully stocked kitchen. Location is walking distance to everything you could need and there's convenient parking. Randy was a great host and checked to make sure we were comfy. I look forward to staying again on my next trip to the area!

This was a terrific glamping experience. The place is just as described and the beds quite comfy. Sitting out on the balcony was delightful. The place is convenient to many many things.....restaurants, hiking, music and we even took the train to NYC quite easily. I was happy we had a car. One night we went to Tarrytown for a concert and did Uber for a reasonable price. The price of staying at Haydee's allowed such things. Delightful spot with wonderful hosts.

One word of caution: take lots of before and after pictures. Our stay was lovely but what happened after was not. There was an issue regarding damaged goods and it was handled in a very unprofessional fashion. We worked it out, but be wary.

Haydee' s place was exactly what the description describes. We were able to walk to Rockland State park and enjoy an afternoon there and later catch dinner at Palisades mall which is minutes away by car. It was the relaxing, unwinding and quiet weekend we needed!

I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend for a romantic get-away from city life. It was the perfect little trip! The treehouse is so cozy and the air around feels fresh and breezy. The hosts are super nice and easy going. They helped us start a fire in the pit, recommended routes for the bikes, and my boyfriend and Paul jammed a bit on their guitars the final morning. My recommendations are to take advantage of the bike rental option, if you're into that (medium intensity), and take a beautiful ride along the Hudson River trail in Hook Mt state park. Also, bring a pair of "shower shoes" or easy sandals to walk to/from the bathroom. It's about double the distance that you see from the house to the treehouse. Plan your food; the spot doesn't lend itself to spontaneous meals the way NYC does. We had bought some groceries but when we desired a hot dinner, we found only a couple restaurants that would deliver food to Valley Cottage. There's a nice farm-fresh cafe right down the street called Rockland Roots Kitchen, where we had brunch- delicious! A great place to be for two friends, significant others, or family members. It would be pretty solitary for one. Also it's fun to bring some activities, such as a deck of cards- we brought a guitar and some painting supplies so we could get creative. Overall, it's a really special experience and so worth the price! We will recommend to many friends!

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved staying here! The tree house was amazing it was cozy and comfortable. The family was wonderful they were welcome and even invited us out one night to listen to Hayden's husband's band! We would absolutely love to stay here again and would recommend this Airbnb to anyone!

This is a great little treehouse glamping experience! The hosts were wonderful and inviting! Everything was very clean and we were welcomed with chocolate treats on our pillows. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore NYC or enjoy an amazing treehouse experience.

This treehouse is absolutely magical. The whole thing is amazingly well crafted, and the inside is extremely comfortable. The floor is soft and it's insulated, which makes it very cozy, the beds are super comfortable, and it's so cool being able to get wifi and watch netflix while up in a tree. Haydee and Paul are such awesome, welcoming hosts, and they have a wonderful family and really cool dogs. It's just north of the Tappan Zee, so if you have a car it's not too far to the city, and there are some beautiful lakes right around the corner. I feel lucky to have stayed there, it was a truly memorable experience.

We stayed at this wonderful treehouse on part of our backpacking trip. We drove from out of town and were planning on parking our car a few towns over and eventually hiking to it from the Treehouse. Unfortunately, we were going to need a parking permit in Mt. Ivy in order to park there. I contacted Haydee and she graciously let us park our car there 2 days prior to actually checking in. That in itself got top marks from my group. Then we actually got there on our check in day. What a fun place to stay. A/C and heat in a treehouse. How lucky. We needed neither. The place was cozy and had the possibility for a fireplace down in the yard. We chose to sit in the chairs on the Treehouse porch and relax from our days long hike. It was a great find and the hosts were great. If I'm ever in the area, I'll be checking in. I'm afraid it'll probably be booked. I definitely recommend the Treehouse.

Nice private place to stay in the sleepy town of Croton on the Hudson. The room (suite) is beautifully decorated and clean. Chris was very accommodating and responsive.

The pictures don't do it justice, Chris and Evan's place is beautiful! The street they live on is so picturesque and their hospitality is next to none! Overall it was an excellent stay.

The suite is the perfectly-located spot to explore the village of Croton-on-Hudson . Chris' recommendations for restaurants and outdoor recreation were outstanding, and we plan to come back soon.

Chris and Evan's place is truly special. The historic "Doctor's House" and the private library apartment are incredibly beautiful and brilliantly renovated by their new owners. The fresh, updated paint and luxuriously high ceilings along with lovely hospitable touches throughout make their place a special retreat. The separate entrance and entirely private apartment feels like staying in your own place even though it is technically a "private room" on Airbnb. Communication was excellent and the easy stroll to the upper village put Croton's great eateries a stone's throw away. Would highly recommend to any of my friends looking for a bucolic and restful escape from the city.

This was our first stay at Alexander Hamilton House AirBNB and it won't be our last! The space is ample, cozy & charming, with good privacy and comforts (including good quiet sleeping conditions). The neighborhood is lovely, a good area to talk a walk and look at nature and the charming village of Croton. Chris & Evan are excellent hosts - easy to communicate with, friendly, and have created a wonderful space. This would be a great place to stay in all seasons. We will be definitely be back for a return visit the next time we're in the area!

The Library was a great place to stay. Quaint, clean, and a short walk away from the city coffee shop and restaurants. We had our own separate entrance and our hosts were on time to pass us the keys. Very pleasant and quiet stay.

Our stay here was absolutely spectacular. Chris and Evan were amazing. Everything from the wine waiting for us in the room to the refreshing pool out back was perfect. They made us feel welcome and at home.
