• We’ll meet at the fountain in the San Domenico district then move to pick up schiacciata, a traditional Tuscan focaccia, for our picnic. I’ll introduce you to local ingredients like prosciutto crudo, finocchiona, and seasonal porcini mushrooms.
• We’ll visit the Beato Angelico fresco at the San Domenico Monastery before following the ancient Etruscan road to Fiesole. Along the way, I’ll share stories about the architecture and landscape, including the 15th-century Pazzi conspiracy at Villa Medici.
• At the hilltop Convent of San Francesco, we’ll pause to enjoy our picnic and panoramic views of Florence, the Roman Theatre, and the surrounding hills. Afterward, we’ll head back to Piazza Mino, where I’ll offer recommendations for a well-deserved coffee or aperitivo.
