Places to stay in Taylorsville

Places to stay in Taylorsville
Our Taylorsville house is a historic (1914) two-story country home located in a mountain valley in the northern Sierras. We are a 30 minute drive from Quincy to the south and Lake Almanor to the north. The house is right in the town of Taylorsville with easy access to services. Fall color season is coming soon and our prices are reduced so book soon!
Our house and yard are fairly spacious and could accommodate 2-3 more quests, especially children, if those guests can be flexible in their sleeping arrangements (i.e. couches, sleeping bags, etc).
Cycling, hiking, fishing, swimming are all nearby in abundance. Taylorsville is a charming small town with a gourmet market, tennis courts, campground, swimming pool, and Indian Creek just a short walk away. Summer is filled with cycling events, rodeo, music festivals. Numerous lakes dot local mountain tops. Many historic buildings are still around and in use by the local folks. A lovely nine-hole golf course is just 5 miles away.
  • Definitely a beautiful location. House was very beautiful! Will definitely stay again!

  • Jennifer's home exceeded expectations! It' such a beautiful area and a perfect cozy home. We stopped in on a road trip between Death Valley and our house in Oregon-- if we would have known what an awesome area it was and what a wonderful home we would be staying at-- we would have planned a longer stay! The luxurious soak in the claw-foot tub was a definite highlight and we loved all of the country/vintage style decor that made it clear that it was such a loved space. We plan to return over the summer to enjoy the area and the space more thoroughly!

This is a 570 sq ft building with BR, BA and living room. The inside was rebuilt in 2018. Outside siding is vinyl and will be replaced in 2020. It is located in Indian Valley which is beautiful. Lots of deer, turkey, and bear. We rent only when we are in the main house or when our caretakers are there. The kitchen has a coffee and tea maker, refrigerator, hot plate, electric skillet and microwave. We added a new cabinet with sink. When we are there we can arrange to provide breakfast.
There are a few projects still to finish on the outside but the inside is finished. Heating is electric heaters. Portable AC but summer nights are in the 60s.
We are 12 miles from Lake Almanor, 5 miles from Round Valley reservoir. We can guide for birdwatching or tell you where to go. Bicycling is very popular around the valley.
  • Our favorite Airbnb rental in the whole area. Ted and his lovely wife Lorraine even bake us treats everytime we come. Can't get enough of this place!

  • This is the perfect spot if you want to get away and quietly meditate. Spectacular scenery right out the window. Very comfortable - I was especially grateful for the supportive mattress. We contemplated staying a second night and will certainly try to get here again someday.

  • I read that Ted's space was cozy -- and that it was! It was exactly what we needed after a cold weekend of camping. The house was stocked with all sorts of snacks, and Ted brought over scones in the morning! So special.

Built In 1926, the Hough House used to be the warehouse for the village store until we renovated it in 2019. I love the high timber ceilings and great views of Mount Hough, especially when it has snow. The house is in the village of Crescent Mills (200 people) at an elevation of 3500' and looks to the mountains at around 7,200'. It is perfect for a weekend getaway to the mountains and is conveniently located behind Gigi's market, a popular cafe and coffee shop.
The house has a large main room with 13' timber ceilings with two bedrooms, each with their own new bathroom. The kitchen is huge and the breakfast bar and bar stools came from the old hotel next door. I like how it combines the rustic feeling of old timber with the convenience of modernity. The living room has a massive 8' x 8' window looking out on Indian Valley and the Mt Hough.
Crescent Mills has a golf course. Taylorsville (10 mins) has a rodeo and museum and swimming pool. You can go shopping in Greenville (6 min) or Quincy (17 mins). Lake Almanor (20 mins) is fun for water sports and Mount Lassen Park (45 mins) has geysers and volcanoes. The apartment is behind Gigi’s Market which is a popular cafe and coffee shop and across the road from Crescent antiques. Hiking and biking are great. From the house you can walk up the hill and find old gold mines, or drive up Mt Hough and go mountain biking or visit Crystal Lake (the most beautiful place I have ever visited).
  • This was a very comfortable spot. Wish we had been able to stay a little longer.

    Stephen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the middle of the "Lost Sierras" in plumas county. Right behind hold hotel and local sandwich hangout. Beautiful location for relaxing stay. Hikes and scenery in all directions. 4mi to full grocery store in Greenville, 7mi to local gourmet market in Taylorsville, 20 min to county seat at Quincy.

    Jason2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Hough House! The cabin was cozy once the fire was going, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Ginger and Tommy at the deli next to the cabin were very friendly and helpful, and their smoked meat was incredible. We hope to come back again soon!

    Judith2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed three nights and had a wonderful time. The house is very cosy and well equipped, there is everything you need for cooking, which we really appreciated! Next door there is Gigi's Market, a café that serves ribs and brisket who's owners are super welcoming. We spent a lot of time there just chilling and chatting. There is a nice hike to a lake starting right in front of the door.

  • Ginger's place is great! Great food and hospitality! Great tips about living there (if you plan to). Also, her pets are amazing (3 cats and a dog named Darth Vader).

    Mark2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger’s place was very clean and comfortable. Her cooked-to-order breakfast and ready made coffee hit the spot for my early rising husband. The kitchen space and TV’s are in a shared space downstairs as well as the dog & friendly cats. This worked great for our quick overnight visit.

    Cheryl2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • You will enjoy beautiful views en route to Ginger’s cozy upstairs in Plumas County. The room was very clean & bathroom/shower had all the necessities for comfort! The bed was very comfortable & we slept like babies. We love the mountains, & the view from the room was wonderful. My daughter was hungry as soon as we checked in, & ordered an amazing rack of Ribs from GiGi’s Market just under our room. They tasted awesome, & the price was great for large portion. We were in the area for a basketball tournament, & stayed on the move, and we would love to come back when we can explore the beautiful area more & keep our bellies full with good home cooked meals. I would recommend Ginger’s place to anyone who has the chance to getaway to beautiful Plumas County.

  • Ginger, thanks so much for hosting us! We had a great time at your place! The room is really cozy (the walls are pretty thin and the cats like to run upstairs, but we didn’t have any issues with that). The included breakfast was really yummy and the place is a perfect starting point if you want to go explore the beautiful outdoors around it!

    Kurt2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time here! Ginger was amazing in every way. The room is stylish, spacious and has an attached bathroom. It was the perfect location from which to explore Lake Almanor. The big surprise was how many other cool things there were to do here. Ginger gave us some great tips and because of that we found the perfect location under a tree growing on a rock by a waterfall to open Christmas presents! We loved our stay. Thank you Ginger!

  • Cool place in a very small town. Great hosts make your stay comfortable and GiGi's deli has great food and a very comfortable atmosphere to hang out in. I'm looking forward to staying there again... The train does roll through, but it just adds to the charm of this little gem..

    Gary2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Truly some of the best hospitality I’ve ever had through AirBnB. Gigi and Tom felt so comfortable to be around; I absolutely loved hanging out with the cats by the wood burning stove downstairs and eating BBQ and drinking beer. Tom went above and beyond and helped me with my car when the cold temperatures tested my battery, even cleaning it up one cold night to see if it would fix the problem. When it didn’t, he made sure my car started in the morning for work, then later took it next door to get the battery replaced for me while I packed my things. It was honestly way more than I was expecting. Can’t wait for the next work trip just so I can stay here again!

  • I booked my stay with Paxton Lodge - The Todd Cabin (Named after Todd who built the cabin haha) This cabin is perfect for a couple or a small group of friends. The cabin is tucked away in a beautiful forest by the cascading rivers. Not to mention you can still hear the trains passing through. How cool is that!! The cabin was really inviting and cozy. There were plenty of fresh towels, pillows, clean linens, and even small toiletries in case you left your shampoo and lotion at home. The shower is a bit small, but awesome cause the hot water runs fantastic !!! (I wasn’t sure if it would only because the cabin is older but pleasantly surprised) The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of pots, cups, utensils, a coffee maker, microwave, stove, fridge, freezer and bbq grill outside with all of the bbq supplies. Highly recommend you bring some steaks, casseroles, veggies to grill and burgers. It’s nice to cook your meals while you stay. The outdoor bbq area is private to the cabin so you can enjoy your own conversations and cook at your own pace. The 360 views were amazing. You can’t beat the hike at Cascade Trails. It’s a pretty easy 3 mile hike (6 miles in total) I suggest to take a light backpack with water and some snacks. It’s very well kept so it’s good for beginners and kids and even pets. There is no WIFI or TV, but that’s why I chose to stay here. It’s nice to deplug from everything. If you must I suggest to download episodes of your shows and watch it that way. Otherwise hop into town and visit the Quintopia Brewery. Such a gem on the main strip of town. They serve great seasonal drinks, you can order a beer flight or grab a bite to eat. Charley and the owners of the property are soooo nice and I would highly recommend everyone visit this small, cute town of Paxton and the Paxton Lodge. So much history and charm. Loved this much needed relaxing trip.

    Dana2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Todd was wonderful. A nice roomy cabin with a full kitchen and bath. A nice quiet location in a beautiful location. Just a short walk to the river. Charley was a great host. Would definitely stay here again!

    Lauren2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Charley was a wonderful host. We had a great time at the cabin and exploring the surrounding areas - Lake Almanor and Buck's Lake. Very dog-friendly and cozy.

    Maria2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was just amazing!! The cabin was warm and cozy. We enjoyed playing outside, hanging out at the beach, stargazing and talking with Charley and the Lodge family. They were so welcoming and we had a great time with them. Our two teenagers who were not very excited about "No TV, No Wi-Fi vacation" before the trip are now saying they want to come back to Paxton Lodge again! Wonderful trip to start the new year!

The cabin is situated right on the Feather River just 10 miles from Quincy. Spend your days swimming/floating on the river and your nights around a campfire under the stars. Close to the Pacific Crest Trail, lakes, golf, restaurants, shopping, etc. Great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We are a pet-friendly property, but all pets must be disclosed and approved before booking is approved.
Perfect getaway spot for couples or families that love nature. The property has incredible swimming holes, campfire pit, horseshoe pit, riverfront stone patios, fishing, and more. When you arrive, there is no need to go anywhere else.
The property is on the river and the closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away.
  • Russell's cabin on the river was amazing. We arrived late at night and found it easily based on very accurate directions. Check in and out was super easy, too. The cabin is so cute! It has a casual, cozy and comfortable feel. It was Winter and the cabin was warm when we arrived, which we really appreciated. Everything was spotless. The kitchen pantry was stocked with spices and other pantry items, which we really appreciated even though we only used a few spices. There are all sorts of charming rustic touches which were fitting for the area and everything in the cabin felt intentional. The cabin is stocked with matching dishes and glassware, nice sets of bowls for serving, etc. The bed was comfortable as was the nice leather couch and we enjoyed watching movies which were there for us to use. When we stepped outside in the morning, we were so happy! The property is set right on the river and is very large and so very beautiful and peaceful! Russell has done a great job making the structures on the property fit right in with nature. We enjoyed checking out all the ways they used driftwood, which were turned into eclectic art structures, railings, etc. all around the property. There are nice pathways set into the hill down to the beach alongside the river and there beautifully colored rocks galore. We enjoyed hanging out on the sandy beach next to the fire pit, soaking in the beautiful views. There is a train which comes by every once in a while and it was also a highlight! While the location feels super remote, groceries and eateries in Quincy are only 15 or so minutes away. We will be back! Thanks, Russell!!!

  • Wonderful location that is truly a hidden gem. There is opportunity to be as active or lazy as you want to be. Russell is extremely inviting and helpful for anything needed. The cabin is loaded with great things not mentioned in the description, really there are too many great things to possibly list. There are so many things to do at the property or in the surrounding areas to satisfy anyone. We hope to be back sooner than later.

Russ and Tina have put a lot of thought into making the whole place inviting to explore. The cabin was the perfect space for us and had everything we needed! Would love to come back in the summer!

  • By far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at! Lori deserves 6 stars for being the best host ever.

  • Great place to stay. Lovely outdoor area and fully stocked kitchen. Went on hikes every day and then floated around in the swimming hole. We had a 1 year old staying with us and Lori left a basket of baby supplies. So thoughtful. Check in was very easy. Highly recommend staying here.

  • Expect to be enchanted by the magical outdoor spaces and this lovely historical home filled with thoughtful touches. The deck overlooking Spanish Creek and chairs creekside were our favorite places to relax and take in the sounds and views of this wonderful property. Plenty of space and oh-so-comfortable sleeping and lounging areas, spotlessly clean! We were so happy to find a very well-appointed kitchen, too. Simply and deliciously charming!

Rural setting, 7 minute drive to Quincy. Privacy, peace, quiet, and a creek right outside your window. Horse corral available with advance notice. Short drive to mountain biking, hiking, dirtbike trails, swimming holes and more. Due to the remote setting, there is some cell phone coverage with Verizon, okay for voice and 3G. (LTE and data is extremely spotty) No AT&T signal here.
1.5 acres, open meadow and forested, year-round creek runs in the front. We have a small bridge to access house over small creek drivable for cars. You can drive a small, light trailer over the bridge. For trailer turn around, a 3-point turn in driveway is possible but not that easy. RVs or large trailers may be able to park in a pullout on the street, and then walk over the bridge. I would not recommend pulling large/heavy trailers into the driveway. Rural setting. • Jen and Ty were great hosts. Communication with Jen and check in were super easy. There was a house operations book that provided information on the heat, how to light a fire in the fireplace (we’re from the mountains but thought this was a nice touch for others), and great places to hike, explore and visit. The house was a perfect retreat for our weekend in Quincy, and our teenagers and two dogs had plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and guests are welcome to use the home office in the den, so I was able to get a little work done as well. There are two living areas which allowed the kids to enjoy time with friends in one, while the adults relaxed in the other. My husband and I enjoyed watching the snow fall on the meadow as we drank our morning coffee. We moved from Quincy last summer, and staying here felt like home. We so appreciate Jen and Ty sharing their home with us!

  • Our group of 8 (6 humans and 2 doggos) had a great time at Jen's wonderful home. We loved everything about the place: the location (convenient access to so many great trails and hikes), the view of the starry sky from the hot tub, the cozy wood-burning fireplace, and the well stocked kitchen.

My home is located in beautiful Indian Valley in Plumas County within a half hour drive to 4 lakes for boating, fishing, and water recreation. Many tourist enjoy biking around our valley plus the numerous hiking trails. The loft can sleep four with floor space for sleeping bags with two bedrooms downstairs and two bathrooms. It can comfortably sleep ten people. There is a large deck in the back and a covered porch in the front. The front area can easily park four to five cars and a boat.
  • Barbara’s home was absolutely amazing! My family and friends all had a wonderful tome. The location is very quiet, the neighbors are friendly and the house itself is very clean. Plus the dog Bo was so cute! I would definitely recommend coming here.

    Kallie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara offers a lovely space with ample space. We had a great two night stay- and wish we could have stayed longer! This home is close to many hikes and a big lake.

  • Barbara and Bo (her sweet pup) have a beautiful place in the forest. It is very spacious, has beautiful views of the mountains, cozy, and has a packed kitchen for all of a families needs. My small family of 10 spent Christmas here building memories and what a lovely place to do just that. Thank you Barbara and Bo.

    Linda2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Charming home, great views, awesome amenities. That's the summary anyway. My motorcycle club stayed here while exploring the area for a few days. Greenville (and consequently Barbaras place) are perfectly placed for exploring the gorgeous backroads in this part of the sierras. Barbara's home sleeps quite a lot of people, there are beds hidden all over the place. Barbara gave us the quick tour of the home and showed us where all the beds were and gave us the lay of the land. She's very nice, and one of the guys in our group was nerding out about the Giants with her, so she's good people. The house itself is really charming. But Bo (Beau?), Barbara's dog, is the real star of the show. We let him in to come hang out with us in the mornings while we prepared to head out for the day. There are not a ton of restaurants in Greenville, and most things close early. But that's not really a problem as there's a grocery store in town (which also closes early) so we were able to cook up some family meals every night. With both a gas and charcoal bbq we were able to grill up a rack of ribs from the local supermarket for a big family dinner. She's got everything you need to feed a couple of families per meal, and everyone slept pretty comfortably. Pro-tip: if you're leaving the house in the late afternoon, right about the golden hour: Have your camera ready as you get to the main road. If you're lucky there'll be horses standing in the field at the end, with a dramatic sky in the background. Unfortunately, as we were on motorcycles we didn't have cameras ready so we just had to appreciate it then and there. But I wish I'd taken a picture. I hope to go back some day.

    James2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara’s home is perfect!! It is absolutely gorgeous, sparkling clean, and comfortable! It is in a very desirable location, which is remote but still close enough to many areas of interest. We cannot day enough about how special this home is. The pictures don’t do it justice. Thank you, Barbara! And say hello to Bo for us!!

  • This cabin was everything we expected and more! We didn’t expect to have a small stove, microwave and small fridge but we did, and it was so convenient. Charley was super friendly, and accommodating with our trip. We arrived 30 mins before check in and Charley was able to accommodate without any fuss or issue. I didn’t expect the cabin to have so much land to explore; between the train track and beach area you won’t run out of adventure. My boyfriend and I are without a doubt planning on coming back to explore the Paxton lodge some more. Charley and staff was great, and there was so many cute, friendly dogs too that we had the pleasure of meeting. The perfect cabin to check into if you’re seeking to unplug from reality for a bit. Lastly, the neighboring town Quincy is super quaint and fun too!

We allow ✨no-fee ✨re-booking, with no time limit. If you're on Facebook and Instagram, you can view more pictures of the property and surrounding areas at @WildPlumas! The Wild Rose Tipi is located at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, an hour from Lassen National Park and over a million acres of National Forest. The tipi is a short walk from several spring-fed swimming holes, and it overlooks the meadows and creeks of the 50-acre property.
The Wild Rose Tipi is located at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, just an hour from Lassen National Park, Lakes Basin, and over a million acres of National Forest. The tipi is a short walk from several spring-fed swimming holes, and it overlooks the meadows and creeks of the 50-acre property. Simple but comfortable, the tipi is 20' in diameter and offers one full size bed (with bedding) with plenty of room for sleeping bags on the gravel floor. Outside the tipi is a picnic table and BBQ, and several additional shaded tent sites. Additional bedding available upon request. Nearby (and out of view) is the host family's small cabin (the tipi is their guest house), where campers are welcome to use the outdoor shower-- offering an on-demand water heater and a view of the Sierra Nevada range. The Wild Rose tipi is secluded, but not "middle-of-nowhere-secluded." Usually, the loudest sounds are the geese, but campers may also hear the train, or sounds from the town of Greenville (two miles downstream). There is also a shooting range about five miles away and some days you may hear noises from that. Otherwise, there are quite a few hike-in meditation or yoga bluffs where you will feel like a world away! The property borders over 500 acres of National Forest that you may also explore, and several secluded swimming holes. Your host family has enjoyed building lots of activities for their own children, which campers may use at their own risk- including a 160' zip line, a 50' zip line from a tree house, and a rock climbing wall. Please note, we try to limit our impact on wild animals such as deer and rabbits, so please keep your pups on a leash. Activities in the area: Fishing or boating at nearby Lake Almanor, or Round Valley Lake, is always popular. We also highly recommend a visit to Mount Lassen National Park (one hour). Drakesbad hot springs is also top on the to-do list! If you have any questions about other nearby activities, feel free to reach out to us! Otherwise, many of our campers enjoy the simple things- a lawn chair with a good book in the creek, or watching the kids make little pots out of the clay in the pond. Safety first, but we always encourage adventure, playing in the mud, and free range children. The Wild Rose tipi may not have wifi, and we promise you will never be bored! FAQ's: Are extra people ok, and is there a charge? Yes that's fine. For pricing, please substitute 'tents' for 'people' in the additions as HipCamp does not have the option to add extra tents at this time. The cost is $10 per tent. Any questions, just message me, we can work it out when you get here. Is there an extra cost for animals or vehicles? Nope How far are the swimming holes from the tipi? About 1/4 mile walk. How many people can the tipi sleep? Comfortably, four. You can throw down a tarp and sleeping bags for additional children. Are large school groups permitted? For sure! We have hosted up to 50! Just message us for group ideas. We can even offer guided tours of the property and use of the climbing wall. How do I store food? Storing food in ice chests is fine, although preferred would be in your car. We do not offer bear boxes, but also have not had any reports of critters or bears getting into food (yet). Bears here do not try and get into cars. Do I need to worry about bears in the tipi? Nope :) If you have any fears, simply place the solar lamp in the door way, it will scare them. Bears here are frightened of people, lights, and noises. Any other questions or concerns we are just a message away! Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hosting you this summer.
  • What a great experience of a location to stay. Just a perfect rustic getaway to forget all the negatives of our daily lives. The tipi was clean and neat and the outdoor shower was a pleasure to use. Wow, hot water! The reduced light pollution of the area really makes for nice viewing of the stars. One doesn't need to drive to an open field, just sit in the chair outside the tipi and look up. Thank you Josie for a wonderful stay.

    Mike2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Wild Rose Tipi was a really fun experience! Being people that enjoy camping, it was great to show up and have our shelter all ready to move in. Josie takes extra steps to make the tipi feel like home. Lots of great trails near by for hiking and day trips. We loved the Zip-lines, the fire pit, and you can’t beat the night sky!

    Matthew2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • What an adventure! We loved staying at the tipi. The bed was comfy and you could see the stars through the top. The location is relaxing but also convenient to the little town. We ventured out to the creek and swimming holes. The day was a bit hot so the cold water was refreshing. The trail to the creek is marked with pink ribbon. The dining options nearby are limited but there’s a grocery store. If you want to go to Lassen Volcanic National Park, print or download a map. We lost cell service on the drive there. It also got colder at night and early morning than what the weather app predicted so bring warm clothes.

We like the simplicity, the silence and the nature, our walks to the river and train tracks. No WiFi and no TV makes it a perfect time to relax, read a book, and have quality time. • Leila’s place is a hidden gem in the middle of God’s country! Leila and Michael were wonderful hosts, the house is safe, clean, quiet. Great place located near lots of natural areas to explore- Lassen isn’t too far and every year there is a great marathon- Running w/ The Bears - nearby! Leila gave great directions, made fantastic protein shakes for me ( even though I got up crazy early) and was easy going and friendly. I would highly recommend- had a wonderful stay!

A sumptuous getaway strewn in velvet and satin comforts. Outfitted cabin for two with luxurious details next to the wild Feather River. Great deck facing afternoon sun. It's R&R at Feather River Hot Springs and it is my belief that the needs of my guests are of the utmost importance. I am committed to making sure you will have a relaxing and memorable stay and hope you will return for many years to come. I love it here and so will you. Great for couples and solo adventurers.
This cabin is one of three thoughtfully renovated, one-of-a-kind cabins alongside the Feather River. Just steps from the river is a maintained natural hot spring soak area with two tubs fed by two separate naturally healing springs. Soak in the tub or have a soak in your private claw-foot tub with a view!
Please see FeatherRiverHotSprings on the internet for more information. Activities in the area include golfing, boating, fishing, gold panning, bicycling and hiking. A birdwatchers paradise, eagles soar, osprey and kingfishers dive for fish and songbirds fill the trees. Sandhill cranes are often spotted in surrounding meadows. This stretch of the Feather River is ideal for rafting and kayaking. We plan musical performance throughout the season with food and drink which could coincide with your stay, dates TBD.
  • Well I really cannot do justice to Rocki's place. Thoughtful and fun. We delighted in both the adventure and respite accommodated by this place and its lovely steward. We're grateful for our time there.

  • We had a lovely stay in the cabin. We wish we could have stayed longer! It was such a perfect little cabin with a beautiful calm and peace we can’t wait to return to.

    Sara2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • So happy we got to spend some time here! Rocki’s the best!!!

  • This is a serene, rustic camping experience on the Feather River. One of my favorite places. You need to notify your hosts when you're a couple hours away. You can expect prompt and kind communication from your host every time, just know there isn't always cell service in every part of the canyon so plan accordingly. Something those of us who make our home in the mountains are already quite used to!

The Logger's Camp cabin is a departure from everyday traded in for rest and relaxation at Feather River Hot Springs and it is my belief that the needs of my guests are of the utmost importance. I am committed to making sure you will have a relaxing and memorable stay and hope you will return for many years to come. I love it here and know you will too. Come RELAX on the river, enjoy the natural beauty of the area and REJUVENATE in our natural hot springs. Great for couples and solo adventurers!
The Logger's Camp cabin is the most basic of the renovated cabins, but it provides everything for two guests to have a restful stay. It is one room with a bathroom, has a hand-crafted log frame queen bed and basic dresser. There is a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a set of dishes. Out the front door is a sitting porch. You' ll find all sorts of outdoor public areas to make use of during your stay also. This cabin is one of three thoughtfully renovated cabins alongside the Feather River. Just steps from the river is a maintained natural hot spring soak area with two tubs fed by two separate naturally healing springs.
Please see FeatherRiverHotSprings on the internet for more information. Activities in the area include golfing, boating, fishing, gold panning, bicycling and hiking. There are also a number of other destinations nearby for any interest. Cellular phone services is spotty at best and there is no wifi on the property.
  • This place is amazing! We chose Rocki's cabin, because it got a bit too cold for outdoor camping. We got rewarded by a beautiful venue in vibrant autumn colours and a very friendly host. Rocki's place was inviting and clean and well thought through. We really enjoyed our stay in the cozy cabin. Last but not least, a highlight of the stay was definitively the hot springs, which were just so soothing after our day-long hike. We got particularly lucky and even saw some shooting stars. Rocki, thank you for this wonderful stay!

  • My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend staying in the Logger's Cabin at Rocki's place. We wanted to get away and spend some time in nature for my birthday. Staying at Rocki's was perfect! The cabin was very cozy, comfortable, and clean. We soaked in the hot springs multiple times a day, went hiking nearby, and even caught a Rita Hosking and Sean Feder concert. The concert was very intimate. It felt like you were watching a show in someone's living room. It ended up being one of our favorite parts!

  • My boyfriend and I had a great time staying here! The cabin was so thoughtfully decorated, including a small vase of wildflowers. The room is spacious and cozy. While we went to Lassen Peak to hike, we chatted with some other guests who floated down the river (right next to the property) and went to nearby swimming holes and camp sites. Rocki was very accommodating and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our last night there, chatting with her and some other guests around the campfire!

  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at this gorgeous hidden gem on the Feather. Rocki was a wonderful host and we very much look forward to coming back again soon.

  • Rocki runs a true hidden paradise in one of the most idyllic hidden corners of California. Her cabins are curated to the detail and offer all the amenities you need. The hot springs are heavenly and well kept along a stunning spot on Feather River. Rocki is a very genuine and caring host and she’s been very responsive and helpful in planning and giving us local tips. A true gem!

Magnificent bridges and tunnels, a unique railroad “Y” and a section of track that crosses over itself in a one-mile loop in order to gain elevation are among the features that attract train buffs to the area. The train can be heard traveling through the canyon several times per day and night, which many visitors enjoy. Read more about the trains on the FeatherRiverHotSprings website
  • Great place to get away from it all (yet stay connected if need be)! Rustic, beautiful location, relaxing, close to hiking and exploring. Loved the hot springs! Rocki made sure we had everything we needed, even offering s’more fixin’s! Second time visiting FRHS, hope to be back! Thanks, Rocki!!

  • Great, charming cabin for a relaxing weekend. We loved taking a dip in the river and the hot springs. The cabin had everything you'd need, and the outside shower was a great feature.

  • A magical spot on the Feather River to rejuvenate and relax. Just about perfect.

    Laela2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome. Campsites on the river, a music venue, cabins to rent, and of course, the hot springs. Rocki has a deep appreciation for music, and is cultivating community by booking great acoustic acts. We will be back!

    Tristan2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We always have an amazing time at Rocki's place, no matter the season! This was our first time staying here in the height of the summer, and truly enjoying the Feather River. The hot springs are amazing, the stars are stunning, and the hospitality is always top-notch. Until next time <3
