  • My boyfriend and I had such a magical weekend! The views from the accomodation were out of this world and we didn’t want to leave!! Will definitely be coming back!

  • Place was amazing. Felt like we were the only ones for miles. Plenty of space for the puppies to run and explore. Was great to get away from all the fuss of Sydney and relax on the deck watching the dogs run free. The tent was lovely, had everything we needed. Was very clean and comfy. Host was friendly and easy to contact. Would happily go back again.

  • Such a breathtaking experience! The cabin was beautifully decorated and had such thoughtful touches throughout to make us feel comfortable on cold and windy nights. We were even able to enjoy Nan’s jam, a local wine, and gorgeous candles. All in all, we would love to stay again to experience the property during another season. It was a perfect relaxing escape and we did not want to leave. There is so much privacy, not a sole in sight. Our 2 dogs loved every part of it as well, they felt completely at home and were very settled. Thanks again Annie and family for your hospitality and sharing this beautiful experience with us!

  • What a wonderful experience we had at Rosewood farm stay. We stayed for 2 nights while travelling back from Sydney to Melbourne after Christmas. The detail is aligned with a designer boutique hotel and it was such a wonderful experience staying there for 2 nights. It was a quiet time of year but the local towns & villages were worth a visit. However we preferred to cook at home and stay to admire the view from Tent. The outdoor bath is heaven. The bonus was our dog got to stay with us and loved it as much as we did. Would love to come back in cooler months again as it would be so cosy in winter. Thanks Annie for you all your help and communication.

  • If you are looking for an amazing getaway off the grid then this place has it all. It had an amazing energy, beautiful views and some great little touches from Annie the host waiting for us! We had such a fabulous and relaxing time! I can’t wait to come back x

    Gillian2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous romantic weekend away in Annie's fab tent. Really couldn't recommend it highly enough. It's rare to see such attention to detail, and when you combine that with the views, it's a winner all round. Lastly - Really enjoyed a glass of wine in the tub outside - Try doing that in Sydney!

    David2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's places was beautiful and thoughtfully setup for guests. It was super windy when we stayed and unusually cold for December but Annie had hot water bottles and a heater all ready for our arrival. The bath on the deck was perfect!

    Maddy2019-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rosewood is a beautiful place, the pictures don't do it justice. Its alot bigger and more stylish in real life. Annie is a great host and responds quickly if needed. The interior design and the small touches shows what a meticulous and caring host she is. 5 Stars.

  • Great place. Beautiful scenery and lots of nature. Good for a retreat.

    David2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • If your a Nature lover who loves to get away from the hustle and bustle then Consider this farm stay. It's only you and the wildlife out there at frogs' hole creek. My friend referred this property to me so I made a reservation. I had 2 nights booked to stay, due to the current Bush fires I was woken to a smoke haze which was unbearable to be around. I packed my bags and left the property, Phil was very understanding with the situation and agreed to refund the second night stay. Phil was very easy to deal with. I will be recommending this farm stay to my friends.

  • What an amazing, huge 3 bedroom house! Albeit a little away from town, it has everything, I mean everything, you need to easily spend a week there. The house is full of windows and doors, it's like outside in, you can really be with nature when you're in it. Because all the doors are double glazed, it feels cool inside even with 30 degrees heat out. The kitchen is fully equipped and fully stocked, with a seperate fridge and separate freezer. If you're looking for a quite, isolated and yet comfortable place to write this is it. There is a huge flat screen TV with Netflix, even has internet (although a bit slow). So very comfortable. We enjoyed our lil bush walk around the property, exploring the dam. I really hope the rain will come back soon. We particularly enjoyed being greeted by families of wallabies when driving down the Red Gum Lane. We saw lots of their droppings on the lawn, question is, how do we meet more of them at the house? :) My kids absolutely loved it, so much so that they asked to come back again as soon as we left. I think we'd have to come back again soon.

    Truc2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • wonderful place, very spacious for 3 of us, huge smart tv, good internet and moreover we saw some roos there. Very quiet at night. Our dog also enjoyed to explore the huge yard, huge but secure with fence. We met Phil, it was really nice to meet him. Surely if we go for another cherry picking, we will stay here again.

    Sartika2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived at Frog's Hole Creek on a late spring afternoon.  The white wisteria blooms drift down over us like confetti and the fragrant scent is intoxicating as we visit this lovely property for a second visit of 7 nights. There are no blower vacs, lawn mowers or noisy neighbours here, just the soft bush sounds of blue wrens, magpies and the bleating of baby lambs drift across the valley at night. As your cast an eye over the surrounding valley views, it is like a place where time stands still, that you could revisit in twenty years time and nothing will have changed.  The house met all of requirements.  Our souls are rejuvenated and at peace.  We are sorry to leave this lovely home. Phil and Sarah are wonderful hosts, with excellent communication skills and are happy to assist with any requests.

  • We loved our stay at Frog Holes’ Creek, the house was spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped. Such a beautiful peaceful location with abundant bird life. A wonderful relaxing space to recharge.

  • We loved this place and will return. Simple, very clean, great to sit out on the porch and watch the kangaroos graze in the afternoon light. Thank you Jenelle.

    Cliff2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jenelle is a super nice host and took care of everything we needed. The shed is a very nice and new cottage which offers everything you need. It is super clean, comfortable and very quiet. You can enjoy ur dinner and breakfast with an unlimited view into the nature (and animals - we saw a few kangaroos) and have relaxed hours off the beaten track. Should be part of every AU roadtrip.

    Caroline2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • I’m so excited to write this review. The Shed is a lovely place to stay and Jenelle has done a great job setting it up. I was so curious as to what it would be like and I was not disappointed. Actually the only disappointment was not getting there earlier to enjoy a few more drinks relaxing out the front on the patio and just taking in the surroundings. Thank you again Jenelle and despite living in London these days, I hope our travels again lead us to The Shed.

    Andrew2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin. Very clean and extremely warm and comfortable on a cold rainy night. Very peaceful. Everything you need. Nothing food or cafe wise close by so really need to take everything you would want with you. General store is a 5 minute walk has basics if you get stuck but no Cappuccino or Latte till Bathurst or the pub at Trunkey Creek.

Visit Atlantium... the smallest country in Australia! Atlantium is located on a 0.76 square kilometre pastoral estate in the scenic Lachlan River valley, about midway between Crookwell and Cowra.
The Empire of Atlantium is the only country you can drive to from Australia. Atlantium was founded in Sydney in 1981 by a trio of teenagers, and has since grown into a global civil society organisation and micronation with citizens in over a hundred countries. We acquired a 200 acre pastoral estate near Reids Flat, NSW, in 2008, and have been developing it ever since as our ceremonial capital. We have our own government house (the Golden House), post office, pyramid and an assortment of other monuments and buildings. Now we're opening our borders for the first time to visitors from Australia and beyond. If that's not unique we don't know what is!
Atlantium is situated approximately 10 kilometres south of the township of Reids Flat, on the western side of the Great Dividing Range, in a quiet pastoral district. The nearest pub and shop are located in Bigga, 20 kilometres north of Atlantium, while the nearest hospital is 50 kilometres to the southeast, in Boorowa.
  • Everything is exactly as described, and the price and views more than make up for the rustic amenities. Very clean and orderly rental, in a beautiful part of country NSW.

    Serje2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool little place to stay in a remote and private area. All solar powered and gas for amenities, and a great view of nothing but rolling hills. With its very own post box and pyramid, it’s a unique and interesting escape from the world for a weekend.

    Kyra2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everyone should try to have a country to them selves, just for a day :p Though remember to bring your sense of adventure. We absolutely loved the darkness, the sounds and the sunset from Atlantium.

Toby the dog greeted us on arrival and took us down to the house, where he kept our Border Collie Ruby company and put up with endless pats from our toddler. Sheree have us some delicious home baked bread, eggs and milk, and made sure to check we were doing ok throughout our stay. The house and backyard had plenty of space for our two critters to run around, not to mention a farm to explore! The beds were so comfy and the place was serene - a nice getaway from busy Sydney. The best time of day for us was sunset, where we had spectacular views from the backyard table overlooking the sheep at the farm. Each evening we sat there to have dinner with glass of wine in hand! We’re still talking about how nice it would be if we were still there, rather than back to the daily grind. Our little home away from home in Boorowa will stay with us for a long time!

  • We had a lovely stay at Wantana cottage. Very comfortable and great views. I do hope there is some rain soon for you Sheree.

  • Great cottage situated in a quiet spot on a working sheep property, only 10kms from Booroowa. Very welcoming host, and Toby the dog was a delight. The house was cosy and comfortable, the window seat looking out over the paddocks was a great spot. The kitchen had everything you needed, the bathroom was spacious with a bath as well as a shower. All the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very clean, and the beds were really comfortable, with plenty of pillows and extra blankets, and lovely clean towels. Highly recommended for couples, families or a girls weekend getaway.

  • Highly recommend Winterwood. Good value, very clean, comfortable beds, lovely old house, great feel, attentive host. We were happy with everything.

  • Leanne was an unobtrusive and thoughtful host. Because of its age, the cottage was quirky in its layout but this was a positive. The cottage was clean and had good facilities, and Leanne left little touches to make our stay more comfortable. As promised, there was a good pile of wood to last our trip.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT “To fill the earth with the light, warmth and laughter of great hospitality” Boorowa was settled by the Irish from Tipperary and is a twinning city with Clonoulty. The town is divided by 'Dissention Creek' with the Protestants on one side Catholics on the other! Boorowa has long been famed as an Irish town and it is repted that a renowned Scottish nun that was visiting Sydney was asked if she had ever been to Island? "No" she replied, "But I have been to Boorowa!"
The Boorowa Hotel started life as a single story hotel called the "Royal Standard" built in 1880 by Michael O'Dwyer. A second story was added in 1905 and in 1954 it was renamed the Boorowa Hotel. Inside the building you can see the 1880 bricks and the improvement by 1905! There are some stunning historical photos in the Shamrock Cafe` that can be enjoyed through the day with either a coffee or a pint of Guinness from the bar! The accommodation has that old world charm with the outer rooms off the extensive verander being the perfect place to enjoy the setting sun or the cool of the night! Boorowa is a very friendly country town about 1.25 hours from Canberra, an enjoyable evening is easily spent chatting with the locals. Darts and pool are available for guests to enjoy!
  • I felt very welcome at he pub and found a new best friend 5 minutes after checking in , couldn’t ask for any more

  • Classic old world country pub accommodation - loved chilling on the verandah - lots of history around the town - locals are a friendly bunch

    Robin2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and take in some local history.

    Jane2017-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you want the true Aussie country town experience in a fantastic location, the Boorowa Hotel is the place to be. You are welcomed warmly by Michael and his lovely wife who also happens to be the chef at the restaurant. The pub is historic with sweeping verandahs and old style rooms, with comfortable beds and electric banquets. It is a pub so it is a shared bathroom, but clean and comfortable. And you stay here for the atmosphere, the interaction with the locals and the food - not for your Marriott points. Mike will make you feel like an old friend - sit by the crackling fire in the pub having a beer and talking footy with the local farmers and Mike himself, before heading into the restaurant and having a gourmet-prepared steak or rack of lamb. Boorowa is a beautiful place in the heart of the best Merino sheep farming country in Australia and the scenery is beautiful. This is a great destination and a wonderful place to stay. We will be back!!! Cheers Mike!

    David2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Mike is an absolute gem! And all the other staff amazing too! Exactly the kind of place we were after. Comfort, character, great food and very welcoming. And they welcomed my furry baby with open arms. Thank you so much! Wish there were more places like this :)

  • Mike is a fabulous host and his hotel breathes history and character. So many rooms were family rooms and ours was comfortable with our own handbasin and was very cosy despite the very cool temperature outside.

  • After a misadventure we had to call Flemings on a bitter cold night and they rushed to our assistance!! They were there in 5 minutes with smiles on their faces and kindness in their hearts. We were so blown away with their service and the communication we had. Even when we left something behind they contacted us and have arranged getting it back to us. The house is very spacious for a family and a secure backyard. We had a lovely time and only wished we had more time to hang around the house itself. OH and they had all the heaters on for us so when we arrived we had a lovely warm home too!
