  • Fantastic stay and lovely hosts. Really enjoyed the stay. Just the break we needed.

  • Michael was the perfect host from start to finish! The Lodge had everything we could have asked for and more, and he went the extra mile to make sure my sister and I got from points a-b safely! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us and making our first trip to Ireland 🇮🇪 a great one! We’ll be back! Also, if anyone ever needs a tour guide through Cork...I’ve got you 🤣🤣🤣

  • We had a really nice time here. The lodge and its surrounding is a really good place to calm down and enjoy nature and the Atlantic Ocean. Especially if you looking for a quiet place, the lodge is a pleasant timeout from the stressful everyday life. Michael is a nice host and his daughters are really nice and helpful and we felt really welcomed. We would definitely recommend this place. :)

  • The view is spectacular. We felt like it was our home away from home. Michael gave great suggestions of places to go visit that were amazing. Would highly recommend staying here. It was a great central location for us to visit the area.

  • The Lodge is a comfortable self contained apartment near Doonbeg in County Clare with stunning views. It is within walking distance of a Blue Flag sandy beach which is protected to a degree from the westerly winds. Michael, our host and his daughter were helpful throughout our stay.

    Jonathan2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at the Lodge which was a short walk into the town centre of Doonbeg, where there are restaurants and bars. There is a gorgeous restaurant called Morrisseys - would highly recommend. Michaels daughter showed us around the property and assisted us with our check in. She was really helpful and was able to give us great tips about the local area. I would give 10/10 for hospitality to Michael and his family. Thank you!

  • A very good price for a comfortable stay including breakfast, and the softest bed you just melt into it. I felt supported in finding my way around the towns in the area. If you have time and a car check out the local sights recommend.

  • Very welcoming host. Her home is beautiful and she was extremely kind and generous.

    Elizabeth2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The absolute best Air B&B experience I had in Ireland! Prior arrival Anna was a very quick communicator, providing me with directions and ideas for tourist attractions to visit. I stayed with Anna for 7 nights and really wish I could have stayed longer. Anna‘s house is very spacious, most beautifully decorated, super clean and the rooms & beds & bathroom facilities are very private and extremely comfortable. Anna was incredibly generous with her time, advise and invited me to use her kitchen, washing machine, beautiful big garden and most comfortable and beautiful living rooms. Anna provided gourmet breakfast and fresh coffee, which I loved. The house is central in Listowel with free parking and WiFi and I highly recommend staying with her for several nights if you want to explore the county Kerry!! It truly is a home away from from and a 5* star experience in all aspects :-)) Anna was extremely professional, very kind, a welcoming and caring host and it was the nicest place I stayed in during my 3 weeks of travels in Ireland. Thank you for having me and I will certainly book in again when I return to Ireland :-)

  • Lovely stay at Barbara’s place! She had great recommendations, nice personal touches, and made us a delicious breakfast! Worth coming to the countryside to stay at the relaxing and very enjoyable Flying Alpaca.

  • Beautiful place! Private bathroom, good bed, clean room, excellent breakfast and coffee from Barbara! Lovely animals: horses, alpacas, cats and dog. Dog is very friendly and well-behaved.

  • We had a lovely stay at flying alpaca farm. Barbara and all the animals are very nice and super welcoming. The room itself is cozy and clean, with everything you need for a good night there. The breakfast Barbara prepared was huge and absolutely amazing! Most of it was selfmade, like the jam and the scones, which made it even better. All the animals on the farm are very nice and it was such a fun to pet the cats and play with Yuki, the dog. We also booked the alpaca experience with Barbara and also fell in love with her alpacas. All in all it was a lovely stay and we felt very welcomed and comfortable there. Thank you for that lovely stay, I would definitely come back here :)

  • It is very old fashioned but very lovingly decorated. Noel gives great tips for things to do. On the whole, we were very satisfied and would like to book with him again.

    Jasmin2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Noel was so incredibly nice and over-the-top generous. We felt so welcomed. We rarely stay in private rooms as we prefer entire places to ourselves but this was a case where we were glad to have a present host. We wished we could have stayed longer and gotten to know Noel and Kilrush better. Highly recommend!

    Kyle2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • It is a very nice place to stay!!

    Juan José2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had the perfect stay in that region and I think all of us would highly recommend staying at Noel‘s place! Thanks!

    Mario Moe2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Noel’s home is a lovely space near Kilrush. Noel greeted us at the driveway and immediately gave us a tour of the home. He generously offered a light breakfast for the morning. We prepared our own food and had full access to pots and pans, cutlery, etc. Noel recommended that we check out Kilwee cliffs, which are very close to the home. The cliffs are of a lesser scale than the Cliffs of Moher, but they are equally spectacular, much more isolated, and free to access. Definitely a worthwhile visit.

    Eugenia2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable and very considerate man. Beautiful house, perfectly clean. Well located and quite calm

    Maud2019-11-07T00:00:00Z

This is an ideal place for a stopover on the Wild Atlantic Way, within easy reach of the Ferry to Kerry at Killimor, and to the beach and cliffs at Kilkee and Loop Head. You can visit the Shannon Dolphin centre, Vandaleur gardens, and the museum of Irish Rural life in Kilrush. There is food and music in the nearby pubs.
Katie O'Connors Holiday Hostel is located on one of the widest streets in Ireland with plenty of parking spaces provided. To the left as you go out the door you have an ATM, keep going to reach the market square and sample Crotty's restaurant and pub and Buggles pub on the square. Walk down to the right and pass Supervalu supermarket on your way to Kilrush Marina. It is a short walk or cycle to Cappa pier for fishing or swimming and to visit the Vandaleur Walled Garden. St. Senan founded a monastery on Scattery Island in the Shannon estuary across from Kilrush; you can visit by taking the Scattery Island Tours ferry from the marina. You can also visit the Shannon dolphin and wildlife centre near the marina and take a boat to visit the dolphins in the estuary.

  • Very nice and clean accommodation. Unfortunately we did not meet Linda, but her husband is a dream. We laughed a lot together and while we talked about God and the world, we drank delicious beer. I have rarely experienced a man so hospitable. The chickens and geese are great and the eggs are awesome. The accommodation was a bit out of the way you need a car, but the world is still there in the best order

  • After a bike ride to their cottage, I loved the great shower I had in my bathroom. The breakfast with eggs from their own coop was large and prepared me well for the next leg of my trip. Good bed in a nice and quiet area with a beautiful view and a hospitable couple. Highly recommended.

Our Floating Glamping Pods are situated in the peaceful and sheltered waters of Kilrush Marina among the yachts and boats. Each pod has an outdoor seating area, a double and a single bed, a small kitchen/galley area and use of the Marina Centre facilities, such as toilets, showers, laundry, wi-fi and free parking. We are a short walk from the centre of the pretty market town, Kilrush, and an excellent base location for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way , Loop Head Peninsula and West Clare.
Our pods are unique, being afloat. There is nothing quite like the sound of water lapping and the gentle rocking to send you to sleep.
Our marina is situated in an area of special conservation and you may be lucky enough to see some of the resident otters. From the Marina Centre you can book trips to go dolphin watching on the Shannon Estuary with Discover Dolphins or take a trip with the award winning Scattery Island Tours. West Coast Aquatics Aqua Park also operate from the marina. These activities are seasonal and weather dependent. Operators should be contacted separately to confirm sailings. The Vandeleur Walled Gardens and Woodland Bistro set amongst 170 hectares of native woodland is just 2km from the marina. The Loop Head Peninsula on the Wild Atlantic Way with it’s spectacular scenery is a short drive away. Check out www.loophead.ie for further information.

  • This glamping pod is a very cool space and it felt like an adventure staying at the marina. We loved being down there so much that we opted to pick up some beers, order a pizza to go, and set up the table and chairs for a sunset dinner on the water among the sailboats.

    Megan2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • The pods of Kilrush Marina were awesome. Very cozy and well equipped with a small kitchen. The sanitary facilities were in the harbor building, but that did not bother us. All in all a very good stay.

We made dinner the night we were there and the kitchen was easy to navigate and had everything we needed. We will stay again next time we are in town sightseeing.

    Hannah2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie is incredibly helpful and responsive to anything you might need help with. It’s a beautiful place to have a much needed city break and was easy to get to, even though we didn’t come by car (taxi from kilkee). Would absolutely recommend!

    Steffi2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the cosy cottage, despite the awful weather outside. Its a lovely place and communication with Natalie was perfect and she was available for any request. We will be back!

    Stephanie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived with Storm Ciara, so suffice to say conditions were probably a little worse than usual! Our one small issue was that it was a little cold in the evening, even with the stove on full-blast. However, I slept by the stove on the pull-out sofa bed, and was fine with an extra blanket through the night, so no real issue. Its a good distance to the town nearby, and the washing machine was a godsend.

  • We loved the quit place at the end of the road 😃

    Stefan2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • if you are looking for an accommodation in a quiet peaceful location then look no further. The town of Ballylongford is about 5 mins by road where there is a small supermarket for all your needs. Listowel has more shops and is about 10 to 15 min drive. The flat is secluded and at the end of a dead end road. No traffic to worry about and cows and calves to keep you company. Deirdres dogs are adorable and love to come say hi as soon as they hear the car, though this may be because of the treats they get :) The flat is very clean and has all your needs. Will definately book again . Thanks again

    Peter2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We were met by 3 friendly dogs and then a little later by John,. The cottage is very suitable if you have a vehicle and want peace and quiet. The only sounds came from the cattle, which was a nice change from city traffic. The location suited us as we are golfers and it was only 19 kilometres from Ballybunion. There is a very good supermarket a few kilometres from Deirdre’s to self cater. We arrived on a Sunday and this was the only place to get supplies or food. We were able to use the washing machine and dryer which was very handy as we had been traveling around. If you want tranquility, this will suit you.

    Diane2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is very light and spacious and very well equipped. It's in a lovely position being on the farm. It is a bit remote but that's part of the charm of the place and not a problem with a car. There's a good supermarket Centra in Ballylongford. We loved the flat and the area and we were made very welcome by John , Deirdre's husband.

  • Samantha's house is a beautiful villa located in a quiet and peaceful residential area. The room is nice and welcoming, with a private bathroom only for our use. The abundant and varied breakfast. Samantha was very willing to wait until late and turned out to be a very sociable and nice person. Recommended place for those who, like us, are passing through Dingle or the ferry to Kilrush.

  • I cannot recommend this house enough. A wonderful setting, an amazing house and such a beautiful part of Ireland. Ailish excels in providing an outstanding environment, we had the most fantastic weekend, incredibly comfortable, warm, so many special touches that made it the best air b and b I have stayed in. Cannot recommend enough x

    Mary2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ailish is an excellent, experienced host. The house was stocked with brochures and Ailish took the time to find out where we could find live music while there and prepped the fridge with breakfast. I felt I could contact her with any questions. Very enjoyable stay, Julie

  • Fantastic house with everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed lighting a turf fire each night. The house is cosy and sparkling clean. The local pub was nice too and they allowed the dog into the heated smoking area out back. Co Clare has lot to see and do. This house was perfect for our short holiday.

    Liam2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ailish is a great host and her house is just beautiful! She even stocked up the kitchen with breakfast, what is extraordinary for an Airbnb. We had a wonderful time and will surely come back, if possible :)

  • Wonderful stay at Shannon View Cottage! The house and views were fab as was the hospitality. Great secure back garden for our dogs also. You will not be disappointed.

    Janine2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ailish was a great host, and her home is truly lovely. We were only a group of 4, and the house was more spacious than we needed - we left one bedroom untouched. Great kitchen for cooking. Beautiful backyard and views. We really appreciated the proximity to Kilrush (8 minute drive) which made it easy to grab dinner and head back after long days. If curious, we ate dinner at Kelly's and we approve.

We enjoyed our time with her and Pip, the cat who spent some times with us! I highly recommend.

  • Fabulous rooms just a short walk from the Devon Inn. Susan and family were very accommodating hosts and we felt part of the family by the end of our stay. Our kids loved the endless hot chocolates and ball games. - thanks Alana! Nothing seemed too much trouble for the hosts. They also were able to accommodate our ever changing numbers at the drop of a hat. The fresh bread for breakfast was amazing. Thanks so much for a great weekend.

  • The house was excellent in terms of its facilities and the host was super nice as well. The house was very cozy and well-equipped. The best part of the house, I would say, was the beds which were probably better than a lot of hotel beds. No doubt that the host has maintained the house very well. Not only being very clean, the rooms smell so good made us all have really great sleeps. We were staying with the host and she gave us really good cares throughout the stay. Our rooms were located at kind of the other wing of the house so basically the guest and the hosts wouldn’t be disturbing each other. There were pretty enough room for guests privacy, and we didn’t really need to worry if we would be bothering the host.

To the front and sides of the property are meadows in which cows can be seen grazing during the summer months, to the rear is a sheltered patio.
Located about 2 miles outside the town of Kilrush
  • Lovely country cottage. Peaceful. Near towns and large supermarkets and the beach. Very clean. Fire can be lit.

  • Kelly was a wonderful hostess and looked after all our needs. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and cozy and well insulated from the Atlantic winds and rain that Storm Ellen provided while we were in Kilrush.. We were close to the towns of Kilrush and Kilkee but had our own space in the countryside, close to but not affected by a couple of other houses, away from it all. The simple tasteful decor in the house was very well chosen. Bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this accommodation highly. Dogs were adorable.

    Eileen2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely wee place in the countryside. Great instructions from Kelly, easy to find and check in. The house had everything we needed to cook, and the wood fire was brilliant to have in the wintry weather. Great shower, comfy bed, lovely views outside. Would happily stay again.

  • Great place to stay near Kilrush. The place is nice and cozy, the kitchen well eqquiped and the bed was extremetely comfortable. Also, communication with the host was easy. I do recommend this Airbnb.

  • This is an amazing, secluded place to stay! Renae and her family are amazing hosts. The house is so clean and cute! Perfect space for a few people. The bed is cozy and nice bathroom!! It is definitely secluded and not an easy road to get to, BUT the views here make it worth it! It was an incredible stay and we will remember it forever. Definitely recommend! Renea was kind enough to let us use their washers in the middle of our long journey. Such a seeet family and place to stay! Great location for driving to see Cliffs of Moher and town of Ennis.

    Rebekah2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything as expected, would book again.

    Joao2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough about how wonderful Renae's home was during our stay. The apartment is brand new, sparkling clean and comfortable. Renae herself was very helpful in suggesting places for us to see. The house is in deep country but she gave us the GPS coordinates that got us to the front door with no problem. Their little dog Winnie was a regular visitor for a scratch on the tummy. When we arrived, a plate of cookies were waiting for us and the refrigerator had fresh milk. The place exceeded our expectation in every way.

    Chris2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Renae & Karol were great hosts! We were greeted warmly on arrival and shown around. Renae was very prompt on answering any of my questions and was very flexible with changes of plans that had come up. The space is clean and comfy. The scenery is beautiful with amazing views of the country side. I Would most definitely check this place out if your staying in the area!

    Michael2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot thank Renae enough. Her hospitality, kindness and friendliness is beyond words. Although a short and business related trip we slept very well and had everything we needed. Lovely shower, towels, hanging clothes area, hairdryer, iron and basic kitchen set up. Would highly recommend a beautiful house surrounded by fresh Irish fields. Thank you

    Laura2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Renae went very well, the procedure of arrival is irreproachable. The accommodation is spacious, clean and we were totally independent. We recommend this accommodation!

Get away from the sound of traffic and listen to the birds and bees. Meet the dogs, chickens and local donkeys. Explore the woodland it is a wildlife haven! Learn about organic gardening and sustainable living. Ryan's cottage is hidden away, but within a short drive of many beautiful coastal sites, beaches and charming villages. Within an hour's drive are the cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Ennis, Loop Head, Lahinch and many more attractions. We are just 40 mins away from Shannon Airport.
Your private double room is in a 200 year old traditional Irish farm cottage on a 1 acre haggard. Life here is still fairly rustic. I grow my own vegetables and fruit, and fresh eggs are laid daily by the chickens. We have a small woodland of mixed deciduous trees, perfect for the wildlife here. We have many species of birds here, and if you are lucky, you may spot a pine marten, fox, hare or badger. It is very secluded, with the nearest neighbour 2 km away. There is very limited public transport, so your own vehicle is essential.
We are surrounded by cattle grazing and some bogland. Down the quiet lane you can observe hundreds of species of wild flowers and plants in the natural hedgerows, and see the new calves and donkeys enjoying the peace. You may catch sight of one of the local hares or foxes. On a clear day, you can see across the Shannon to the Kerry mountains from the top of the hill.
  • Everything was very nice and beautiful:) highly recommend!

  • Jude was an amazing host and her cottage is absolutely beautiful. Tucked away off a small boreen the cottage and charming garden look like something from a fairytale. We also loved spending time with the two little dogs Nelly and Cleo who were an absolute joy. Highly recommend.

    Gerard2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan’s cottage is an oasis of calm wildflowers, grassy tracks,a jumble of dogs and the warmth of Jude all blended together to create this little patch of heaven. Wonderful! We will be back.

    Sally2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • If your looking for peace and a place to get away from it all then this is it, quirky friendly home for however long you stay and the host is a lovely friendly person with a awesome bunch of pets.

  • Rayan Cottage is magical place which I fell in love at first sight. We spent only one night there, so we didn't have time to see to much around the house but inside is like a travel in time. Not too much modernity, but enough to comfortably spent time. Interior looked as inhabited by someone who love it and care about it, with a lot of details like old photo camera or notes of favorite song ;) We didint't meet Judy this time but I'm sure that her place is a mirrow her personality. I regret that we couldn't talk becouse looking at her place I'm sure she is very intresting person.

    Grzegorz2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Maybe not the smartest choice if your going by public transport but still worth it. Jude has been very nice and helpful. Her dogs are very nice and the house is just lovely! Great choice!

    Jochem2018-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Ryan’s Cottage was just wonderful !!! The room was big and everything was clean and cosy and lovely ! Jude is such a friendly and warm-hearted person. She showed us around her garden and told us a lot about gardening which really inspired us. We can totally recommend her cottage for some relaxing and refreshing days and for enjoying the nature and the animals. We will miss her and her dogs a lot !

    Anna2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Out of everywhere we stayed during our road swop around West Ireland, we loved Jude’s home best and feel like we’ve known Jude forever! Jude made us feel really comfortable and we loved talking to her about the history of Ryans’s Cottage. We fell in love with all of Jude’s animals who also welcomed us to their home with open arms (or paws) and we absolutely loved our visit to Fanny O’Deas which was recommended by Jude! We will definitely visit again! x
