  • Moose Lodge by the lake is beautiful, woodsy, and clean. It was a wonderful place to stay for a quick winter trip. The place is quiet and rustic but comfortable and the water is just right across the way. Close to skiing, hiking, and of course the lakes. Highly recommended.

    Thomas2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, cozy, and comfy! John was very responsive and helpful with my questions about our stay and the accommodations were perfect. The home was so warm and inviting with all the amenities and staples we needed for our stay, including plow service when it snowed. Very close to Shawnee Peak which was great after consecutive long days of skiing. Beds were also incredibly comfortable which is a must after skiing. Will definitely book again next year if available!

The perfect retreat for families & friends or even a romantic getaway! Plenty of room to stretch out & feel at home. Full kitchen, comfy beds, wrap around porch, seasonal use of grill, fire pit and lots of space outside including seasonal dock access on beautiful Moose Pond. The perfect place to relax! Five minutes to Shawnee Peak, ten minutes to downtown Bridgton, thirty minutes to North Conway and about forty-five minutes to Mt. Washington. Well behaved dogs welcome!
Our cabin is cozy and inviting with an open space plan. The second bedroom is lofted and has overview of the living and dining area.
The neighborhood is very quiet and private. There is a good chance you will not see other folks during your stay.
  • Talia’s place was great, very cozy and private.

    Erika2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Talia's place. It had a cozy wood stove, plenty of blankets, a nice porch, and was in a secluded area which we loved. We were close to town but felt like we were staying in a cabin in the woods. We would happily stay again if we came back up to Bridgton.

    Daniel2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at this cabin. Easy lock-box check in, beautiful wooded setting, WiFi works great, and well-stocked with essentials. We especially enjoyed snowshoeing in the woods around the house, watching the visiting deer, snowshoeing on Moose Pond, and evening views of Shawnee Peak.

    Katherine2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed at Talia’s cabin for a winter weekend getaway to the mountains. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and is kept immaculately clean! It is the perfect size for a couple, or a family of four. The amenities are all excellent—updated bathroom, kitchen appliances, Smart TV, etc. The location seems a bit out of the way, but is actually somewhat centrally located giving you more options for skiing and other activities. The main stores in Bridgetown are about 10 minutes from the cabin. We also popped over to the North Conway area which is about 30 minutes away, and ended up taking a drive to Sunday River to ski which was about 50 minutes (Shawnee Peak is around the corner). You will not regret staying at this great place! We plan to make it an annual trip!

  • What a great place !!

    Heather2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here. The cabin is very clean and rustic at the same time. Driveway was plowed very well and while there during a storm they plowed twice which was great. Space heater kept place warm as it is mostly open. This would be great for a family. There's one private room, a living room futon, and a loft with two twin beds. There are board games, anything you need on internet TV, and all the amenities you'd need at home. Lots of wildlife and it was cool to see Shawnee Peak lit up through the woods. Wonderful place to stay. Great open downstairs area.

    Kate2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is great, super clean, plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking, the wood stove in the living room is awesome on cold nights. I would definitely stay here again.

Our house is an historical home-1820. Updates have been made & we find it very comfortable and quiet. Three people & an elderly cat share this 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home. One bedroom is for guests only. Our home is 5mins away from Shawnee Peak. Nearby, Bridgton village has many amenities & recreational opportunities. North Conway, NH & Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, ME are 30 minutes away. Sunday River, Wildcat/Attitash are 1hr from us (reciprocal passes-ski both on the same ticket!).
Our location! We are so close to great skiing. Shawnee Peak is 4 miles away. Ski boots may be warmed overnight in front of our pellet stove. There are also snowmobile trails and cross-country ski trails. Summer guests have water recreation and hiking available too. The White Mountains (NH and ME) are so close. Maine is a beautiful state! Bridgton also offers great food. Our favorite restaurant with variety is Mack's Place! Water, tea, and coffee are available to guests here.
We live in the rural Lakes Region of Maine three miles from town. Our area is forested but we have a meadow across the street and a large grassy yard. We have distant neighbors but most of them are deer and turkeys. Bridgton is an enchanted village full of great places to eat and beautiful places to see. There are beaches, mountains, rivers, and parks here. It is beautiful!
  • Very impressed with Karen's Airbnb. It is just minutes away from Shawnee Peak and downtown Bridgton. Karen and her husband were very communicative and hospitable. Check-in was easy and the room I stayed in was clean, cozy, and comfortable. For an added bonus, they cooked me an amazing breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend it you are heading up there to ski or enjoy any of the other wonderous outdoor activities in the area.

  • We had an excellent experience and really enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly as described and the layout of the rooms was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 children. Beth and Jason provided a well organized guide for renters and provided prompt responses to any questions that weren’t covered in the guide. I would highly recommend them to other renters and we will definitely be checking their availability when planning future trips. Joe

This camp atmosphere is charming with all of the post and beam, wood and finishing touches. There is a spot across the street with canoe access, fire pit, space to pitch a tent or camper. There is no beach, however we have been brave and do swim here from time to time. There is plenty to do in the summer in the center of town. Come fish, hike, swim at the local beach, go to the drive-in, spend your time in Maine enjoying the outdoors Plan for any season with Shawnee Peak just minutes away.
This Mountain and Moose Pond home has a cozy family atmosphere. The kitchen and main living area are open concept and the bedrooms downstairs are all connected. We are located down a dirt road in the midst of glorious trees and fresh air. Come here and unplug from your daily life and get to know your friends and family. Use the canoe or kayak and enjoy time outside by the fire. Internet access is provided.
We are minutes from Shawnee Peak where you can enjoy winter activities or hike in the summer. North Conway, NH is only 35 minuets away for your outlet shopping and lake view dinning. Drive into downtown Bridgton for dinning and time at the beach. Bridgton also sports a summer Drive-in theatre enjoyed by many. Fryburg is just around the corner. Enjoy a trip on the Saco river or come for the Fair!
  • Beautiful location. Warm inviting house. Great kitchen.

    David2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you, we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house with a fantastic location. The opportunity to use the kayak and canoe added to the enjoyment of the trip. We appreciated the quickness of responses to our questions.

  • We had a wonderful stay! The home was situated well off the beaten path and felt secluded as a cabin style home in Maine should. We felt very cozy during our stay. There was ample room for many guests but for 5 people we felt it to be very spacious with the 2 bathrooms. We hope to stay again next year!

    Ali2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome huge log cabin in the woods! Perfect for large get to togethers with friends and/or family! Very clean and rustic! Great location for a getaway by the lake. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery while canoeing and had fun playing with all the games in the house! Would definitely recommend! Casey is a great host!

    Kat2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Casey's place was rustic and awesome! The access to Moose Pond was very romantic....:) We had a great time and the local food (Sea food and Chocolate) yummmy. We really enjoyed the Butterfly sanctuary. It was a short distance to many New England towns and not to far from the White Mountains. Thank you Casey! TJ

    Todd2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a spot! We had an incredible long weekend just a couple hundred yards or so from remarkable views on Moose Pond. There’s everything you need in town for supplies or fun times and kicking back in the yard and on the pond are sublime. The house is spacious and cozy at the same time and we challenge anyone to beat our 111 score on the basketball game! Ha Thanks to Casey for being an amazing host!

The Burrow is a studio cottage on a private, 4 acre property set between two other buildings under quiet renovation to become a wellness retreat center. www.patchmountain.com It's bordered by a vibrant river, deep woods and an occasionally traveled mountain road. Access to 100 miles of conservation trails for hiking, X-skiing and snowshoeing is a 5 min. walk. The Town of Bethel is 12 mi. and an easy 25 min. drive north. Mt. Abram & Sunday River Ski Resorts are also in convenient proximity.
The grounds are open and guests are encouraged to explore! On the property there is a wooded trail that follows the river downstream. During the colder winter months you can walk, snowshoe or X-country ski the frozen river out to Hicks Pond. It's a beautiful morning trip facing the sun. Evening stargazing and relaxation around the fire pit is recommended. Wood is complimentary. The cabin is maintained with best effort toward eco-responsibilty. The space is clean and natural. I request that guests be mindful of their use of strongly scented products as many people have chemical sensitivities.
Local Hub Market & Cafe is a 15 min. drive away.
  • Michelle's cottage was clean, cozy and perfect for our needs. The location was peaceful while still in close proximity to stores and restaurants. Michelle provided detailed information about the cottage and was quick to respond to messages. We hope to return some day!

    Danielle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place to relax, recharge, feel at peace and disconnect this is it! Michelle has decorated and made the cottage being a very welcoming, cozy place! It is small but absolutely more than enough for 2 people! It has everything you might need for cooking and/or having some coffee in the morning so I would recommend bringing groceries because you might not want to leave the place and drive to a restaurant. The place is located in a beautiful area, surrounded by forest and if you go in the winter, tons of snow! We did a little walk in the morning (per Michelles's suggestion) and it was just us in Winter Wonderland, it was incredible. Michelle was really attentive and responded to all my questions right away. The palce was sparkling clean and warm when we arrived. She also gave us a list of recommendations/suggestions of things to do which we really appreciated! I would say this is a perfect spot for either a romantic gateaway or if you want to go away to a peaceful place for a bit. I will say that if you have AT&T the service goes on and off, which to us wasn't bothersome because it actually helped us disconnect but if you need to be available that might be a challenge. Michelle does have wifi though. In other words, a lovely experience and great host!

    Valentina2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Notch was a fantastic experience for my girlfriend and I. We spent a night there while on our way up to Montreal. The house was extremely cozy with a warm aura, and the bed was among the comfiest I have ever laid in. Michelle is a phenomenal host! She was very responsive to all of our questions, making sure that we had everything that we needed for a cozy night in. In addition, she is extremely warm and accommodating, making our stay that much better! I would definitely stay there again and recommend this spot to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Travel down a tree- lined road to a private driveway that leads to the house complete with a side porch and large deck that overlooks the lake. Or, launch your boat at the boat launch nearby. This is a perfect setting for sunrises and sunsets while swimming, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, or fishing. In the winter, skiing and snowshoeing is convenient. Classic Maine cottage on Papoose Pond, nestled among the trees. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this small pond, whether reading a book, or paddling a kayak, canoe or paddleboard. All the equipment is waiting for you. Lots to explore in the area as well, being close to Bethel and Sunday River, Fryeburg, North Conway and the White Mountains. Relaxing on the dock is always an option! Enjoy the glow of the fire pit at night, or gather inside for games or a movie. Time to kickback!
  • This was such a great location to North Conway NH & Bethel, Norway and Brigton ME . Literally so much to do and see that 2 weeks in the area would only scratch the surface. Once you pull off the main road to get back to the camp you have to follow certain signs as you drive down the pine needle covered driveway, giving you that feeling of seclusion. You drive through the forest with the sweet smell of pine and end up at the cedar shake sided camp. You'll end up sacrificing a day or two of site- seeing just to hang out at this cabin - looking out at the pond, enjoying a cozy fire and simply being.

    Rick2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • David’s camp on Papoose Pond was so much more than we expected. David was an excellent host and the space was thoughtfully decorated and provided for anything you would need for a getaway. The camp was incredibly clean, easy to access and warmed quickly in the crisp fall weather. Although fall seems to be the perfect time to enjoy Papoose Pond, I can imagine that it would be just as lovely during the summer months! We hope to get back again sometime soon!

  • Heidi's place is exactly what we needed for a on-night stay near Sunday River. It was clean and comfy and the check in/check out were a breeze. We'd definitely be back in the future

    Vanya2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted upon arrival by Paul who had made a nice fire in the stove. Their camp was a perfect stop for my 13 year old son and me. We made dinner and watched a movie on Netflix before continuing on our ski tour. Highly recommend.

    Steve2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night - when we arrived our hosts had a fire going, showed us around the house, answered all of our questions and made us feel welcome. It snowed most of the night but by the time we woke up the drive was cleared - we'll stay again.

    Jim2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy place, right on the pond. Very tranquil.

    Sally2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Relax after a long day on the mountain in this cosy cabin with a wood burning stove. There was considerable snow accumulation giving beautiful views of the woodland out the back and of the rather large pond out front. I would stay here again.

    Katarina2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great people and great little cabin near all the best of Bethel!

    Amanda2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! The cottage was full of everything you need and super clean. When we arrived Paul had a fire going for us which was very welcoming after a long drive. The cottage was within fifteen minutes of Sunday River and plenty of places to eat. Heidi and Paul were quick to respond to questions and great host. Will definitely stay again if I'm in the area. Thank you for a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

  • Such an amazing and cute little place! Carol-Lee made us feel right at home and gave us everything we needed! We will definitely be back!

    Abby2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Barry and Carol-Lee’s place was spotless and super cozy! It was a little difficult to find in the dark but well worth the stay. Would definitely return in the warmer months to enjoy the lake!

    Cristal2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hospitality in a beautiful area! Carol-Lee is so sweet and if you like animals you might get to meet the charming Poopsie, Ellie Mae, or Billy Bob! Great communication - Carol-Lee checked in to see when we planned to arrive and to make sure we found the cottage alright. Then showed us all the house has to offer, and told a little about the area. If you get a chance, ask about having a fire on the lake - it was such a great experience. The house is an easy drive to Sunday River with groceries and restaurants along the way. We will definitely be back in the future!

    Sara2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We have never had more attentive air bnb hosts. We stayed during some really tough weather. They made sure we were comfortable and safe. The unit itself is extremely cozy with some really nice touches. Will definitely be back in the summer time to enjoy the lake!

  • Super nice place to get away from Boston. Susan is very nice, she's living with us which I found actually really interesting. She has so many stories to share and we feel like family during couple days. You can listen to her ukulele while lost your mind on the wild frozen lake. She made coffee and tasty scones for us in the morning which was amazing. Definitely will come back during summer!

    Stephan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • 5 star stay in every aspect. Amazing host, clean, beautiful location, comfortable beds/rooms. You won’t be disappointed by staying at Susan’s charming lake house. Would book again anytime!

    Mike2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s lake house is very homey and she was more than welcoming. We felt very well accommodated for our stay. The space was very clean and well kept and a lovely home all around. The bedrooms listed are cozy, each equipped with their own space heaters for colder months. The bedrooms and private bathroom are all at the end of one hallway on the first floor while Susan occupies the space upstairs. She made herself available for anything else we might have needed while still offering a more private space in the bedrooms. A great stay and would most certainly return in the future. Thanks, Susan!

    Damon2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent value and good location given the lack of alternatives in the area. Susan is an incredible host that is especially friendly and accommodating.

    Rebecca2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, lots to do in the area if you like the outdoors. We snowshoed on the frozen lake and had a nice dinner at Ebenezers. Enjoyed relaxing by the fire and sue had coffee for us in the morning (: we would definitely come back.

    Cailyn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s place on the lake is beautiful. She is a very lovey and accommodating host. I was in town to write a piece on a pub and the location to get to and fro was perfect.

    Sam2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is kinda out of the way, very little to no service, but is a gorgeous lakehouse and the host was super nice, definitely a great place to get away for the weekend!

  • Rhonda's cabin is perfect for a quiet get-a-way. It was perfect for the two of us and we wish we could have spent more time relaxing on the porch, enjoying the solitude.

    Tim2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rhonda was the best host to have. The cabin was stocked with everything one would need both male and females. She had a book full of local things to do, places to see and places to eat. Her hospitality was amazing and made my wife and I feel comfortable, cozy and at home. My wife and I will definitely be back for another get away soon for sure.

  • We had a very nice stay at Rhonda's. We only stayed one night and arrived later, but was still able to enjoy the cabin. The screened in porch is an awesome feature. Also, having the small breakfast items in the fridge (eggs, English muffins, and coffee) was amazing. Would recommend for sure!

  • The Tap House Loft is an excellent place for a getaway. The space is beautifully maintained, stylish, comfortable, and in a perfect location. The numerous amenities (full kitchen and a hot tub? &@#$ yes!) only add to the exceptional quality of the place. As a host Carrye is highly welcoming, communicative, and helpful. To date this is the best experience I have had with AirBnB and would recommend it to friends and strangers alike!

    Ailish2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time at Carrye’s place! We were looking for a quiet getaway weekend and we got just that - but the Tap House downstairs was a great touch, and Carrye and the Tap House staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. A perfect find in Bridgton!

    Jordan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful, the hot tub is awesome and the bar downstairs is very cute, being able to get a professional cocktail and than walk upstairs and hop in a hot tub is not an experience you get in Maine very often!

    Joey2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a great spot this was, better than we expected! Carrye was so nice and beyond accommodating, the tap house below was a blast everyone was so nice. The loft was clean comfy and stylish and the hot tub was a huge plus!! Would highky recommend staying here, we’ll definitely be back!

    Anna2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience here at the loft! Though we only stayed for one night we had an unforgettable time! Stylish, comfortable space. Very convenient location and the hot tub was the icing on the cake! Would love to visit again.

    Anna2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Depot Street Tap House Loft was our favorite Airbnb experience we've had yet! The space was warm, inviting, and completely spotless. The bed is extremely comfortable, the personal touches left by Carrye were so thoughtful, and having access to a hot tub right off your bedroom makes it a perfect retreat. Better than that, Carrye and the friendly local Bridgton people were fantastic hosts. We felt like we were right at home relaxing in the Tap House just down the stairs below the loft. They gave us local tips and suggestions, making the entire weekend relaxing and eventful at the same time. The Tap House was certainly our favorite part of the weekend, bartender Mitch makes some great drinks, the infused liquors they have are a must try, and the atmosphere the entire weekend was friendly, fun, and upbeat. We can't wait for our next trip to visit the Tap House!

    Jesse2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a place!!! The Loft is adorable and filled with so much character!!! If you enjoy drinks and food and don’t want to drive, well, you don’t have to!! Downstairs to “The Loft” is a bar owned by the Airbnb host! You can enjoy amazing cocktails and talk with so many kind and entertaining local folks!!! If you want amazing food for dinner then you can head next door to, “Vivos” for amazing Italian! Did I mention a hot tub on the deck!? That was the cherry on top for us! We used it multiple times and enjoyed watching the snow fall!! We will be back!

    Mike And Julie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Carrye's loft was incredible! Perfect location, beautiful area. Place was modern, spacious yet cozy with the hot tub for an added bonus! Would recommend for anyone!

Recently refurbished, our cabin is a magical Maine retreat. Two floors of living areas gives groups plenty of space to relax and hang out and enjoy our Moose Pond waterfront home. Winter fun on the doorstep includes day/night skiing, Nordic, snow shoeing, ice fishing, snowmobiling and sledding. Shawnee Peak/Pleasant Mountain is a mile away, Bridgton a short drive, and North Conway and Sunday River resort are great for day trips.
This typical Maine ‘camp’ has been lovingly restored and turned into a welcoming cabin with ample room for family and friends. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms as well as and upstairs and downstairs living areas including a large dining table, games table and tv/dvd area provides something for everyone. With its own private waterfront on Moose Pond, the cabin is only 4 minute drive to Pleasant Mountain and the ski/snow amenities of Shawnee Peak ski area which has day and night skiing. We are also 10 minute drive from the town of Bridgton and 30 minutes from the outlet shopping mecca of North Conway. The cabin is situated in the residential Knights Hill Association which boosts a private lake beach (we are walking distance), swimming pool (a quick bike ride away), tennis courts, playgrounds and basketball court for summer fun. Our little plot on the lake is quiet and peaceful and has a private dock in front. Our end of the lake is mainly popular with kayakers, anglers and paddle boarders, as well as the local duck and geese population. THE WATER IS VERY SHALLOW OFF THE DOCK (ROUGHLY 2 FEET DEEP) and as the summer proceeds the water lilies start to cover the water's surface. It's very pretty but does not make for good wading as it is very weedy. Swimmers need to paddle/kayak out to the middle of the lake or walk down to the association private beach area. The shallow water keeps the motor traffic to a minimum but there is plenty of water to launch the 2 kayaks and canoe included in the rental. The lake has incredible bass fishing. The dock is also a lovely sunny spot to sunbathe or read and there is an outdoor table and chairs in the shade and hammocks among the trees to relax in. For the more active there are many hiking and biking trails nearby. In the winter you are mere feet from the frozen lake on which you can cross country ski or snowshoe for miles. There is good ice fishing and plenty of trails for snowmobiling. Shawnee Peak is minutes from the cabin and Sunday River Ski Resort is a 40 minute drive. There are also several cross country groomed trails nearby. Newly renovated, the cabin is thoughtfully and comfortably appointed. The cabin is roughly 1700 square foot - enough for a medium family and friends. We have designed the space with relaxation and convenience in mind. The large windows facing the water on both floors allow in tons of natural daylight as well as beautiful views. Three propane heaters keep the cabin warm in the winter and 2 ceiling fans and plenty of windows with screens in all the rooms are delightfully cooling on warm summer days. Wi-fi is provided. We will send the wifi code just prior to your arrival. There is a TV and DVD player and a collection of movies for both children and adults and a selection of board games. The TV is not a smart tv and does not have cable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and dining. There is a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, filter coffee maker and an electric kettle. There is a large dining table upstairs that seats 8 and a smaller dining table downstairs that seats 6. The master bedroom is a queen size bed, the downstairs double is standard full, and the 2 bunk beds have 4 standard single/twin beds. The linens and comforters are matched for either summer or winter, and there are spare sheets, pillows and blankets for all the beds as well as an extra futon downstairs. We provide both bath and beach towels for your stay. There is a laundry closet with washing machine and dryer in the downstairs double bedroom. There is also a large foldable drying rack, for ski wear in the winter and swimwear in the summer. Our fireplace has a fun 'fake' fire for ambience but is currently not usable for wood burning . We do have a wood burning fire pit near the water's edge for those essential camp fires and s'mores!
Bridgton is a wonderful little town to visit, with some great restaurants, pubs, a new brewery, a movie theater, antique and gift stores, art galleries, ice cream shops and bookstores. There is a big grocery store and pharmacy. There is even an old school drive-in movie theater in the summer.
  • I highly recommend staying at Tor’s home. The cottage has all the amenities of home. Access to Shawnee Peak is 5 minutes away, and 10 minutes to downtown Bridgton. We loved getting up in the morning having our coffee looking out at Moose Pond. Place is very clean. Great family cottage, which we hope to go back to next ski season.⛷

  • A nice cozy and relaxing setting in the mountains. Close to hiking, some just up the road, the town of Jackson and the rest of the White Mountain National forest. Excellent and quick communication. Wonderful extra touches to make you feel welcomed.

  • Beautiful house in sparkling condition & incredibly spacious for two people. Have to rely on a car to travel anywhere as it is two miles outside Jackson up a steep road. This, however, was not a problem & added to the charm of the location.

  • You won’t find a better home to stay in! Everything you need is there! Super clean and organized. Leslie is on top of everything! Responds quickly to any questions and is very accommodating. • Lor's place was great. I needed a bed to rest on for a few days of adventure in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I really enjoyed meeting Lori, and she communicated really well. Her place was immaculately clean, quiet, and spacious. I would definitely recommend this to others ... five stars for sure!!!

    Derek2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully built place surrounded by peaceful nature! Quiet and the lack of reception provided a very nice getaway from reality. Be prepared for this! The stars at night were endless! We loved laying out at night and stargazing! Had trouble with the wood stove the first night but then after finding and following instructions were able to keep it warm and cozy! Definitely a ten/ten! Please take some time to go and enjoy this mountainous luxury!

    Brittany2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience, quiet, peaceful, simple. Made it on foot without skis and snowshoes. It snowed during our stay, and we were warm with the wood stove.

    Erica2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend at the Yurt. We kept the space warm even though temperatures dropped well below zero. Awesome experience!

    Eric2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were impressed by how warm we were in the yurt, even with the sub zero temps! What a great way to take a break from technology the to dos of home. Thank you Justin and Sara for answering our questions!

    Nicole2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a get away in a cozy and unique spot, look no further. Had an amazing time at the yurt and would go back forever if I could. Justin and Sara had everything you need in the tiny and cozy space. We played almost all of the games and felt nice and warm near the wood stove.

    Katie2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Justin and Sara’s yurt was the perfect winter getaway for myself and my dog. Briefly after booking Justin called me personally to give me a heads up on details. The directions were perfect on where to park and then begin our walk to the yurt. We lucked out and had several inches of fresh, beautiful snow to snowshoe into the property (took us about and hour). Quickly got the wood stove fired up with the more than ample amount of wood available on site at prices competitive with anything else you’ll find on your way up. Once the temperature got a little cozy inside, we went briefly exploring but were halted with the sun going down so early. The futon was nice and comfortable. I didn’t really investigate the bedding situation as I brought my winter mummy sleeping bag to keep me toasty through the night but it looked as though there was a large chest full of such items. Word to the wise, in the winter months when the days are so short, I’d advise bringing a headlamp and some auxiliary lighting of some sort as the yurt is quite dark without any sort of lantern. If you’re planning on cooking anything that requires more than heating water, plan on bringing your own fuel for their two burner stove located outside (you can see it in the pictures) or packing in a small backpacking stove, which is what I ended up using. The wood stove was able to heat water for hot beverages but wasn’t sufficient to properly cook anything on. All in all, I highly recommend the space with the understanding that you are getting an entry glamping scenario. The luxury of not sleeping on the ground and having stable shelter and a nice wood stove fire going. A clothes drying rack available to setup some of my damp gear next to the wood stove to dry overnight. Nice coat racks just inside to keep my gear organized. It was an excellent layout with nothing more and nothing less than needed. The morning of our departure, my dog and I geared up and spent about three hours just roaming the groomed trails (partially from snowmobiles going through) and then we encountered the grooming cat that came past as we were enjoying the sunshine and quite brisk breeze (about 1 degree that morning). The grooming made for much quicker snowshoeing than breaking trail on the way in and we were able to cover ground much more quickly than the previous day. Will 100% be returning again. Thank you again Justin and Sara!

    Brady2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • I had a remote, serene, beautiful winter night in the yurt. There was plenty of wood to keep the stove going. I had no problems finding the yurt following the directions given, but definitely be prepared for an uphill walk (took ~25 min) in the winter. The road was pretty packed down so I didn’t have to use snow shoes. 10/10 will be back again.

  • A true sanctuary, peaceful, beautiful, cozy. I can't wait to stay again!

    Katelyn2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome little spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is a good mixture of camping and off grid living with a bit of electricity for string lights, a heater to aid in keeping February's freezing weather at bay, and a fan for cooling in the summer. This was my 3rd visit. All visits have been in the colder months but knowing there is access to the pond in the summer, I bet those of you that like to get in and on the water would love it here. There's also a hiking trail 1/10th of a mile up the road. It was too slippery for me to go too far as there was still much snow and ice on it when I visited. I will be back in the area to see how far I can go once it melts a bit more. Come here with a heart and soul open to adventure and you will be sure to have a great time.

  • Lynne's place was very cute, clean, and comfortable. We stayed for a ski weekend, and this was all we needed.

  • This is Bridgton best location. We could walk everywhere. The place is cute, well heated, with amenities. I strongly recommend it.

  • Lynne’s cottage is super cute and convenient to downtown Bridgton. Walking distance to most shops and restaurants, yet located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Grocery and pharmacy, gas and restaurant literally right around the corner. Just enough space for a couple, small family or friend’s traveling together. Absolutely spotless, kudos to the cleaning crew. Would definitely stay again. Prompt, friendly communication - we wish Lynne much success!

  • I stayed in Bridgton for a couple of nights as I was working in the area. This little house was perfect. It's cozy and had all the amenities you need. I cooked in the kitchen one night and one breakfast, and had everything I needed....pots, pans, cutlery....everything. They also had Netflix and some other stations on what looked to be a new tv. The bed was very comfortable and the area is quiet, so I got a good night's sleep. The bathroom is small, and unfinished but they said that they were coming up after I left to finish it up...nothing major, mostly paint. The bathtub/shower looks like it was just re-surfaced, and it had a shower attachment. The water pressure is good, and the water gets hot and stays hot. I have been to Bridgton before, and there is a great restaurant called The Black Horse Tavern. It is a 2 minute walk from the house. Highly recommend. Also, the center of town is just a few minutes more walking. Plenty of good places to eat and shop....antique stores, etc. Oh....the check in was simple, and Lynne was very easy to communicate with. I plan to stay here the next time I come up for work.

  • We stayed two nights in the treehouse and it was like nothing we’ve ever done before. Toad Hill was a lot deeper into the forest than we had originally imagined but that made the experience even more interesting and fun. Justin was very kind and hospitable. He showed us around the land and the projects he’s been working on. We will definitely be coming back. Also, there is no more air mattress, it’s now two twin sized beds.

    Delaney2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a simple stay away from it all, look no further. Bring bedding and sheets and whatever other creature comforts you need. We would recommend scoping out the outhouse on your way in before you need it since it is a short walk away from the tent. Would highly recommend a battery powered fly swatter for in the tent at night.. bugs always seem to work their way in and having this was a huge asset. Would highly recommend.

    Richard & Jackie2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved the solitude of the treehouse tent! It was so basic and exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely be back! Things I would note for those booking: -Pack a good lantern/flashlight - it's REAL dark at night -Note that you have to walk a couple minutes down a well worn path to get to the treehouse and pack accordingly -My dogs absolutely loved the property, but if you're bringing a pup, make sure your dog isn't a wanderer as it's not hard for them to nose out of the tent and there's nothing to easily tether to inside the tent. -Justin provides an air bed with a foot pump, but bringing along a battery operated pump would make your life a little easier! -Bring a towel for the entry way if it's going to be rainy! -ENJOY! Lots of exploring and relaxing to be had here!

    Amy2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This treehouse is absolutely a great place to stay if you're looking for a nice, secluded site that lets you camp while also not being uncomfortable! We really enjoyed the area and the land it sits on--waking up early and reading in our hammocks in the sunshine, hiking our butts off in the mountains during the day, and going to sleep listening to coyotes in the distance...it made for a wonderful vacation! We will definitely be back soon.

    Caitlin2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute treehouse tent! The tent was much bigger than I expected and very roomy on the inside. The location was very pretty, surrounded by lush green plants. The directions were easy to follow but the dirt road up to the property was a little bit of a challenge. Altogether I would definitely recommend this spot!

    Adrianne2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing treehouse like walled platform tent. The photos don’t begin to tell the story of the beauty surrounding this tent. It is like being inside a tropical rainforest. It was super quiet and serene. We made a fire in the pit and brought a camping stove and cooked decadent hot breakfasts. We loved the semi rockclimbing to enter into the tent. We brought our own camping cots and camping air mattresses, but Justin has one two person in the tent. We folded those up to make room for our own. We also brought our own camping chairs to leave near the fire pit. We were a family of four. Lots of good food nearby in Fryburg, ME and Conway NH. Would return for sure!

    Monica2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing, we are a very outdoorsy and active family and we just loved the tent so very much. there was a fireplace as well and it was such a great adventure. justin is very nice and super responsive....we hopefully will have better weather next time, but even with a lot of rain, this place rocked and it was watertight ......we certainly will come back

    Jane2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Diana’s converted barn for our 19th wedding anniversary. This is such a cute and stylish place with lots of room and great little touches to complete your stay. Diana thinks of everything from a little chest filled with items you might have forgotten (nail file, lotion, toothpaste, etc). She’s got a cute little coffee bar and small fridge to put some leftovers, a fan (because who doesn’t sleep with a fan), and a little basket filled with area activities to check out. This place is walking distance to Highland Lake, and to downtown. Cute shops and great restaurants all in a cute and quaint town. Short ride to North Conway, Fryeburg, or Naples. We will definitely be back!

    Carrie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Spent a lovely night at Diana’s place while passing through town on the way to New Hampshire. The barn was spacious, clean, and inviting, and there seems to be quite a bit to do in the area. This would be a great place to spend several days.

  • We were very happy with the loft appt. The entrance is through the main house, but the apartment is still very private. The town is wonderful, great restaurants and shops. The loft is within walking distance of everything. Very clean and comfortable and every amenity you could think of is available.

    Brittany2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place Diana has! Located right in downtown Bridgton in walking distance to many restaurants, shops, bars, etc. We were welcomed upon arrival by Diana and showed around the Airbnb. She really goes above and beyond for her guests - complimentary coffee and snacks and even a fridge to store our own things in! The place itself was beautiful and perfect for a 4 night stay. The bed was super comfortable and the AC made it even better. Although there is no private entrance, we had no issues coming in and chatting with Diana and her husband or just making our way up to our apartment. If you are looking for a place to stay in Bridgton, this is absolutely the one you should pick! Truly a 5 star experience for us and can’t wait to book it again next year!

  • Great place to stay! Very clean, friendly, and close to local restaurants. Nice added touches with plush towels and fresh spring water!

  • It is the perfect place to rest your head for a day or so. The room was clean and tidy and very comfortable. Her thoughtfulness of adding a basket with all little things one may have forgotten on a trip was special.

  • Diana was a delightful host with many personal touches. Coffee, tea, spring water, snacks and personal care items, all completely unexpected and thoughtful. The area was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. We were walking distance to shops and restaurants and park. We had a wonderful experience for our first Airbnb and will be recommend Diana to our family members visiting Bridgton.

Our house is an historical home-1820. Updates have been made & we find it very comfortable and quiet. Two people and other guests share this 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home. This is our second rented bedroom. Our home is 5mins away from Shawnee Peak. Nearby, Bridgton village has many amenities & recreational opportunities. North Conway, NH & Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, ME are 30 minutes away. Sunday River, Wildcat/Attitash are 1hr from us (reciprocal passes-ski both on the same ticket).
This was a young adult's room; now it's available. It is at the top of the stairs. The half bath is right next to this room. A closet and ample drawer space is available. The queen size bed is a platform bed and is 32 inches high. The window overlooks the kitchen roof below. It is a bright and comfortable room. There is an inside and outer lock on this door.
In Bridgton: High class? Beth's Kitchen Cafe, Vivos and Mack's Place; Free entertainment? Dump Store--go for the stuff, stay for the people watching. Visit Bridgton's park/forest. There are lots beautiful lakes and woods. Immediate neighborhood: Predominately deer who are quiet. This is a hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, climbing, boating, swimming mecca.
  • These two hosts were by far outstanding. So welcoming and respectful. Great conversations, kind and funny, and a very relaxing stay. Would recommend to anyone especially fellow snowboarders and skiers looking to be surrounded by mountains. (Myers Briggs knows all) -Sean and Zeke

  • This trip was for our family to get relaxed so we were not planning outdoor activities. Cooking good food, playing board games, and making family time together was our main plan, which we did. The house had lots of things to do inside such as a ping pong, which can convert to the pool and air hockey. There were lots of board games as well. A dish washer was not installed in the kitchen but it was not a big deal for us, though I wish there was a dish rack so I could put wet dishes away easily. Beds were comfortable. There were enough blankets. Heating was also good. Our family watched lots of good movies because the host had installed an excellent TV app on the Amazon Firestick. Wifi was fast enough for our kids. Bathrooms were clean and there were a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Outside was not cleaned well due to it's still in the winter season, but our family stayed inside most of the time anyway so it was not an issue. I'd give a strong recommendation for the family with kids age between 10 and 18.

My house is located on a quiet road at 171 Bridgton Road in Sweden, Maine. There are 2 large bedrooms and a private full bathroom with tub/shower, located on the second floor. The entire upstairs is private from the rest of my home. I serve coffee/tea & light breakfast! My kitchen is not setup for guests to use. I look forward to welcoming you at my home!
Bridgton offers several restaurants, fast food places, grocery stores, and a movie theater, as well as a drive in theater in the summer months. In the vicinity are beautiful lakes for swimming, canoeing, and kayaking as well as a great network of hiking trails. For those who bike, there are fire roads and paved bike trails nearby. The Saco River is minutes away and offers canoe and kayak rentals. Thirty minutes to the west is the town of North Conway, NH, where there are additional food, shops, outlet stores, and sightseeing opportunities including the Conway Scenic Railroad. Mount Washington and many other White Mountain peaks are also in this area. In early October Maine's largest country fair is held in the nearby town of Fryeburg, and that is followed mid October by colorful fall foliage. Numerous ski resorts are in the area with the nearest one (Shawnee Peak) only a 10 minute drive away. We have a cat and dog but they are limited to the downstairs. For any visitors from Germany both my husband and I speak fluent German. We look forward to hosting you in this beautiful part of Maine! Note: Currently G maps does not correctly map to our homes location but if you use Apple's Map you will correctly find our location. We are located on Rt 93, 6.1 miles from the intersection of 93 & 302 in Bridgton Maine.
The road here is in very good condition to take a walk or jog on with beautiful views of Sabattus and the White Mountains.
  • The house was good

  • We had whole upstairs. We only used the room with full and twin bed. There is an additional room as well. Private space with bathroom. Lovely additional touches of cookies in the room when we arrived. The breakfast was fabulous! Ursula is a wonderful host.

    Diana2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, I had a wonderful stay with Ursula and her doggy and kitty! We had lots to talk about - especially over her yummy breakfasts! Lovely home and stories she has to share. Such a blessing to meet Ursula!

    Rose2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality! We stayed here for a night after seeing a show at Stone Mountain Arts Center, which is about a half an hour away. Lovely, private space upstairs with two bedrooms and a full bath. About 6 miles or so from Bridgton.

    Lynn2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ursula is a wonderful host. The room and bathroom were spacious and absolutely spotless. She also made delicious breakfast (German apple pancake + tea) and what was even better was her company. I would definitely stay here again. *It will be impossible to find her home if you put her address in google or apple map but she gives you a very detailed direction on how to get there, which makes it a lot easier to find her home*

    Soojin2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ursula is a solid six stars out of five. She is concerned with making sure her guests have everything they need to be comfortable and her breakfasts are amazing. She takes a personal interest in everyone that she hosts and you will find the best chocolate chip cookies waiting for you in your room.

    Heather2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ursula is a wonderful person with an awesome outlook on life!! This was my first experience with airbnb and it was really great!!

    Ryan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • One of the highlights of our trip to see the fall foliage was the outstanding hospitality of Ursula. At 82 years of age she is an inspiration to all. She is living up her life to the fullest and has no regrets. We really enjoyed meeting her, listening to her stories, and were warmed by her hospitality. She cooked German Apple Pancake and coffee for breakfast and had left cookies for us at night. She took out her best china to serve the breakfast. We were awed by her presence, liveliness, and graciousness. We look forward to visiting her again next year.
