Sandford Lodge is situated on the edge of the New Forest. Perfect for bike riding, walking and horse riding. There are many country pubs nearby, Bournemouth beach is a 20 minute drive. Mudeford beach is a 15 minute drive where crabbing is popular! Nearby is the New Forest wildlife park and just down the road is Liberty’s Owl Raptor and reptile centre. Burley is only a 10 minute drive away too where there’s lots to see and do!
Sandford Lodge is a handcrafted log cabin made by us! Downstairs is the living area, with a lounge, wood burner and kitchen area. The bathroom is situated off the lounge. Upstairs is the cosy bedroom. Outside there is a lovely veranda where you can relax in the evening in one of the rocking chairs. Out the back of the cabin, there is a garden area where the hot tub is.
  • Lovely peaceful space. Great to unwind and get back to nature.

  • Beautiful tiny house in a very nice and convenient location for visiting New Forest and surrounding areas. Sophie is a very nice, responsive and helpful host. We hope to visit again in the future!

  • Idyllic, cosy retreat in the new forest. A perfect hideaway with log burner and lay-z-spa, and wonderfully comfortable bed. Sophie was responsive and the ideal host. A lovely minibreak.

  • Very adorable little cabin. Can get a little cold but plenty of blankets are available, a little fire (which was lit for us as we arrived) and a heated blanket in the bed, meant this wasn’t an issue. Beautiful scenery and not too far from nearest town.

    Andrew2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful log cabin , lovely and warm with the log fire . The hot tub is a fab location with lovely views over fields and sheltered from the winds . Remember a dressing gown in colder weather to get from cabin to tub . Highly recommend. Thanks Sophie

  • Fantastic little cabin with all that you need to get away from everything, the weather was bad but with the stove glowing away and playing a few card games it was all very magical! Both evenings we were in the hot tub and sat drinking wine and watching the storm 🥰

The Barn is a delightful studio apartment, situated next to our family home in the quaint village of Burley, New Forest. Recently refurbished, the barn features an open plan living, kitchen and sleeping area with its own private entrance and small outside space with eating area and space for a BBQ. It is a truly fantastic base for you to enjoy what the national park has to offer; including walking, bike riding, horse riding, or exploring the beaches of the south coast.
Inside, the barn features a full kitchen which includes an oven, hob, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. A choice of eating areas either at the breakfast bar or at the dining area table. There is a comfortable sitting area with Smart TV, wireless internet and whole range of DVD’s, books, board games - something for every one to enjoy. Our guests can enjoy a cosy reading corner with high back chair and a overhead lamp. There is also a self-contained shower room which features a sink, toilet and freestanding shower.
The Barn is surrounded by woodland, and just 100 meters from open new forest heathland, with spectacular views reaching towards the Purbecks. This is an amazing spot for a picnic glass of wine or a beer and watch one of the best sunset views in the new forest over the moor. We have picnic blankets and hamper for our guests to enjoy as they wish. We regularly have deer and horses outside the gates grazing which our guests love to see. The village is a 15 min walk through the woods in both directions which loop around to make a really nice distance stroll, with a pub or cafe break in the middle. The village has a couple of country pubs perfect for a nice meal and drink, and a selection of quirky shops. Just 3 miles down the road is the Market Town of Ringwood with a range shops and supermarkets.
  • The Barn has everything you need for a relaxing, cosy weekend. Many thoughtful touches from the hosts: fresh milk and OJ, bread and cereals for breakfast, lots of tips on local pubs/shops/things to do. My dog loved the place too. Will be back!

  • A perfect little countryside retreat. So many good reviews and it lives up to them all and more. Looks great in the pictures but blows you away when you arrive!

  • The Barn is a truly delightful and cozy place to stay for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The perfect place to unwind and relax...

    Sabine2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Barn had a comfortable rustic vibe and was situated nicely into the new forest area. Would consider staying again.

    Martyn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We have been looking for a nice airbnb within walking distance of both countryside and pubs, without traffic noise and close to a list of interesting things to do, and Emily's place delivers on all of these 100%. Clean, wholesome, cosy, quiet, with everything you might need for a few days in the New Forest. The wifi was great and the bed and sofa comfortable, the kitchen worked really well and the space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Having a smart TV was an added bonus for darker spring evenings. The view pictured is less than a minute's walk through trees opposite, and is absolutely stunning. There are also hiking and cycling trails accessible directly from the property. Situated about a mile down a track, you are right in the woodland, but with very quick access to the village of Burley. Emily and her family were on hand and incredibly friendly and helpful, but the space also felt private and an independent unit. With the heathland, the forest, the coast, some interesting cities and the Isle of Wight all within an easy drive, we wished we have been there for a week rather than a couple of nights and hope to be back as soon as possible.

  • We visited with our 4-month old baby and loved our stay. The barn was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. Due to social distancing we ate in for our meals and managed to get all the food we needed from the shops in Ringwood. We managed to get our for some great walks without needing to use our car, which was great. We would definitely stay again.

    James2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location right inside the New Forest and close to pretty town of Lymington. Some lovely decorative touches in the cottage. Tight squeeze either side of the bed due to roof height but that was expected as the photos are accurate. Lovely comfy sofas. Gorgeous cream tea on arrival! 😜. We only had three nights here but would come back again for sure.

  • The Croft was a great place for my boyfriend and I to stay for a relaxing weekend away. Mel and Craig were great hosts, not only was the Croft perfectly clean, they provided thoughtful extras such as a packet of biscuits and a bottle of milk for our arrival. Mel was quick to answer any of my messages and checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed as well as accommodating an early check in for us at the start of our stay. The cabin itself has everything you could need for a weekend away - a great cabin and great hosts. Thank you Craig and Mel!

  • Such a wonderful stay at the cabin, an all-round great experience. The cabin has lovely decor and is situated in a great location which is nice and peaceful. There are so many places you can visit during your stay as well as things to do - would recommend the bike hire in Brockenhurst. Mel was super helpful during our stay and a message away incase we ever needed anything and we were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco which was really thoughtful! I would love to go back!

    Charlotte2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay here in Hordle. The place was very cosy - the bed was extremely comfy! It had all of the facilities that were needed to be able to cook there yourself. Complimentary prosecco was a nice added touch over the New Year!

    Hannah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little cabin to stay for a weekend getaway! The place was so cute, cosy and well decorated. The cabin was well equipped and Mel provided us with lovely croissants, milk, tea and coffee. The bedding was super comfy and warm. I would say it got rather cold in the morning so i would recommend putting the heater on - otherwise, everything was great. Thank you for being super accommodating!

According to our guests - "The Coach House is the perfect base for visiting the New Forest, with its beautifully stylish decor and ideal location!" - "We loved our stay! Gorgeous setting and very spacious accommodation. Lovely touches like homemade bread & flapjacks. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tranquil countryside getaway" - "It has honestly been one of our best AirBnB experiences, because of your hospitality and the quality of the space. What a lovely coach house. It was perfect!
Double height ceiling in the living room and the dining area in the conservatory makes this space light. Lovely views across the garden, with the occasional sighting of deer as they come to try and nibble the flower beds... A few things to note: There are bees nesting in the roof of the main house. They have never been an issue but may be a concern for you. The bedroom is a loft with the bed in the apex of the roof, there are no bannisters. Have a look at the link below for a Virtual Reality tour of the space (may have to copy and paste) https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=rSgLZ3RmdAi

Ideally situated on the edge of theNew Forest secluded and surrounded by wildlife yet three minutes drive to Railway, beach and forest 5 minutes drive.Walking distance to New Milton with pubs restaurants and takeaways..Our cabin has its own hot tub, some cooking facilities if required. Tea and coffee provided. There is private secure off road parking.
Situated between Bournemouth and Southampton, on the edge of the New Forest. The cabin is tucked away up our long drive in a secluded garden with koi pond unseen from the house. Surrounded by fields we have lots of wildlife. Yet five minutes away is the railway station, shops , pubs , restaurants and take always. The local beach is also a short distance as is the open forest. Bike enthusiasts may be pleased to know that the motorbike museum is around the corner, and Beaulieu motor museum a short drive away.
I love the fact that although surrounded by fields with deer , foxes , pheasant and all kinds of birds , we are so close to all amenities. the cabin is set in a beautiful garden with coy pond and ducks.
  • Lovely place to stay. Great location. Great helpful host.

  • The location is fabulous - it takes only minutes to drive into the forest. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, with lots of comfortable touches, like blankets to cuddle under on the sofa. Obviously a highlight was the hot tub, which is kept beautifully warm. Altogether, we had a lovely time and will definitely be back!

  • Had a wonderful trip with my partner to Lorraine's place. She was very thoughtful and welcoming. Made us feel at home! Hot tub was great! The ducks made us laugh, the wind swept us off our feet on the beach and we had some great food at the pub 3 mins drive away. Shame about the weather but we will be back again in the summer to check out the New Forest and enjoy the hot tub some more :)

    Al2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraines place was lovely and quiet, whilst at the same time within walking distance of lovely coastal walks, shops and restaurants. There were lots of nice touches such as fresh milk, shower gels and bath robes. The hot tub was really nice despite the cold weather - we will definitely be back when there’s more sunshine.

    Ellie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this as a break from city life or just a break from daily stressors! Gorgeous trips nearby recommended by Lorraine, and the sweetest garden which was just lovely. Hot tub was splendid and Lorraine was really helpful with all the extra bits and bobs around the place.

    Becky2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really wonderful stay here. Lorraine was incredibly friendly with lots of good tips about the local area and quick to respond to any queries. The cabin was peaceful and stylish, topped off with a great hot tub! Location was great with lots to see and do. Looking forward to booking another visit in the future to fit in all we didn’t get to do this time around.

My place is located in the heart of the New Forest, close to the sea, the Isle of Wight and the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. There is great cycling and walking with wonderful scenery, the New Forest animals, and great pubs and restaurants. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). There is a hot tub, and toys, a trampoline, a sandpit and a treehouse for children. I can provide a travel cot and high chair.
The Stables has a kitchen/living area, a bathroom (with bath/shower) and two bedrooms (double and king). There is a courtyard area outside, with hot tub, tables and chairs etc. We live in the house on the other side of the courtyard. You will be the only guests at the Stables with sole use of the hot tub. You can use any area of the garden (3 acres), which may also be used by my family.
Sway is a small village in the heart of the New Forest with good cycling and walking easily accessible. Sway village is a 5 minute walk (with pavement). There is a butcher, deli/cafe, convenience store, pubs and a train station.
  • The garden is a joy, our toddler was so happy chatting to the goats sheep and pig! Great place for children, the house was very comfy and the toys were great!

    miranda2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed for two nights with our 17 month old and we all loved The Stables. Check in was nice and easy, Astrid's son greeted us and showed us round and there were a few welcome bits in the kitchen (bread, milk, eggs etc). We made use of the highchair and travel cot - both were great and saved us taking our own. The bedrooms/bathroom/kitchen were great and had everything we could need. We didn't use the hot tub as we didn't want to face getting out into the cold but we made use of the gardens and play area - which my daughter loved - she also loved the fish, sheep and goats. The location is a great place from which to explore the New Forest. We're hoping to be able to return when the weather improves to make the most of the gardens and hot tub.

    Bethony2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage where I stayed was in a corner of the host's garden (which is not so large), and there was a house where the host lived across the courtyard. The host responded quickly, and there were things that were missing, such as detergent, but they brought me as soon as I noticed. Just not friendly. I didn't stay for the purpose of socializing, so it was fine, but I felt that even with a little smile ... The hot tub was the deciding factor for staying here, but was the study in the host house? I was worried that it was close to (I wish my child was hung around and closed the curtain when he was inside ...). You can hear the sound of the car during the day because it is close to the big road. The temperature is set at 37 degrees, so it may be good in summer, but in winter, the temperature drops and it gets cold, so we recommend that you raise it to about 40 degrees first. It is a few meters from the cottage, but there is a distance so it would be nice to have sandals. By the way, on the operation screen, "The recommended replacement date for water is 7 days past." The water itself looked beautiful because of the chemicals, but it was scary considering how often the water was replaced. From an ecological point of view, it may be difficult every time a guest is replaced, but at least it should be changed every recommended day. There was a tree house and a playground for children on the trampoline, but unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough and I didn't have much opportunity to play. I think small children will be very happy! Also the animals were cute. The cottage was as pictured and warm throughout and there was no problem staying. The kitchen has all the basics. I didn't use it at home, but there were toys for pre schoolers. I was glad to have eggs, butter (in individually wrapped), bread, cereal, milk and a breakfast set, but the bread was in the freezer or the shelf life had expired. There was salt and pepper, but the inside was empty. I was also worried that the freezer was full of frost. It was good that there was an entrance dedicated to the cottage. Location does not have any problem to go around New Forest. I have seen various things like Bournemouth and Lymington in 5 days and 4 nights.

Our Shepherds Hut is situated on our 25 acre farm. It’s located in a secluded spot at the bottom of our garden near to the apple and oak trees. There is plenty of wildlife to see. Watch the sun and moon rise from the windows of our hut. Enjoy the raised decking, with the amazing wood fired large hot tub with hydromassager and led lights. Comfy rattan furniture for lazy days in the sun, and fire pit for toasting Marsh mellows, and enjoying the lovely surroundings and country side views
Our place is larger than a standard hut. It’s length is 21ft in total and offers a double bed with Eva mattress. A couch which expands into bunk beds if required, area with fridge, Butler’s sink, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee maker. luxurious bathroom, with flushing Victorian style toilet and a shower with large rain shower head. The hut has underfloor heating throughout and for the colder months we have additional radiators. An electric heated all night use blanket for the bed is supplied during the winter months for a cosy nights sleep. The hut also benefits from being fully insulated and double glazed. Outside we have a large raised deck area to enjoy the views with our large wood fired hot tub with hydro massager and led lights and most importantly a wine glass holder, so you don’t have to reach to far for the bubbly
We are situated in the New Forest National Park. A 5 min walk along a quiet lane gets you straight in amongst the forest ponies, cattle, and pigs during pannage season. Also we have excellent biking tracks around the forest, so bring your own bikes or if you prefer they can be hired from the local area. We can store bikes undercover if required. If you like walking then bring a good pair of hiking boots and for those that like an adventure you can walk out along the blue bell routes in the spring to Lyndhurst and enjoy the home cooking at the Royal Oak in bank. We offer riding holidays, so that you can accommodate your own horse at an extra cost, so please get in touch for prices and your horses requirements. Please note we are a livery yard and the horses are privately owned by our clients and are not for hire. However, we do have local riding schools at Bashley and Brockenhurst that hire horses for riding out onto the forest.

  • Stunning cabin with thoughtful little touches. Immaculately clean, super relaxing and a perfect place for a romantic and relaxing getaway. Loved the breakfast hamper, all the snuggly rugs and blankets and the hot tub in particular. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting some nice time to reconnect with each other away from hectic normal life.

    Gemma2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A gorgeous little cabin. Snug, cosy, but with all the mod cons despite its compact size. Such an atmospheric deck and hot tub, ideal for stargazing and moonbathing. Alex was very friendly and welcoming without being remotely overbearing and the breakfast hamper she provided us was extremely thorough and tasty. All in all we had a delightful weekend tucked away in the woods when we weren’t tramping through the beautiful countryside.

    Patrick2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Acorn Cabin is an absolutely beautiful place. Luxurious and Alex really does go above and beyond with all the little touches. You have everything you need and more there!

  • A lovely little spot, if a little close to the railway. Amanda is a great host and as long as you don't expect all mod cons, this is a great base from which to explore the area.

  • Had the most wonderful few days here. The weather was kind to us. So spent the evening sat around the camp fire, enjoying listening to the wildlife. And just being together. Amanda is a wonderful and accommodating host. The huts are lovely, nice and cosy. And the instant hot shower was great. Would recommend, so peaceful and we came away with lovely happy memories that will stay with us for a very long time. Thank you

  • Such an amazing place to stay. Relaxing and private.. the best of glamping. The huts are beautiful and have everything you need. The hosts are incredible and always there for any problems or if you need absolutely anything at all. Would definitely go again.

  • An Idyllic, Endearing Glamping experience. The Gypsy Caravan is unique and very interesting and the Shepherd Hut is extra cosy with comfy sleeping area. Very dog friendly and my Springer Spaniel thought he had landed in Doggie Heaven because he loves water and here he had his very own Stream in the back garden! I was equally happy being able to look out at the Horses in the Morning. Amanda is very Hospitable, happy to answer any queries and showed us how to use the facilities on our check in. The Shower was good and the water was nice and hot. I really appreciated the little kitchen and Gas hob in the hut so I could make a cuppa in the evening and relax. We had a lovely stay. Thank you

  • Fantastic location, great private and we'll catered camp site. Warm water, thoughtful touches and helpful, welcoming hosting. The caravan is picturesque, as is the countryside. Worked well with our two kids(5 and 2) in the main hut, using the caravan for napping and storage. Would highly recommend for couples and small families.

    Andre2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place can only be described as “magical”! What a stunning location, by a stream, open fields. Camp fire to toast marshmallows on (which were provided). Don’t think this will be tough outdoor camping because you have hot water and so many amenities! Amanda is a wonderful host, warm welcome, wonderful communication. We only stayed one night but are looking for a return date already. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

  • Lovely stay in this charming place over a few cold and rainy days in February. The wood-burning stove kept us warm and toasty after long days out exploring the New Forest. Wonderful location in the heart of a beautiful, wild place that Melanie has packed with thoughtful touches. Very much appreciated all the suggestions for places to eat and walk. A flawless and perfect dream of a holiday. Endless thanks to Melanie and her team!

  • Thank you so much for our recent stay! The cabin was so cute and perfectly sized, and the location is beautiful! The little touches (local cake, eggs, bacon etc.) were brilliant and our mornings spent watching the deer and horses nearby added to the true feeling of a country-side retreat! Tip for anyone going in the winter months: Bring a small plug-in radiator! It gets VERY cold overnight and it helps to take the edge off!

    Sophie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge at Woodcutters cottage was a lovely place to spend a couple of days in a beautiful part of the country. It was very thoughtful to have all the basics (and more) provided on arrival: tea, coffee, milk etc (and a bottle of wine) so you can put your feet up after a long drive. Farm fresh eggs also delicious for breakfast. We loved having so many options for forest and beach walls so close. We particularly liked Avon Beach and the disused railway station / cafe and walk. We also enjoyed making friends with some of the wild horses. Sara and Craig and their family were brilliant hosts and the lodge is a very cosy, quite and comfortable place to stay.

  • Clean, quiet, comfortable, lovely setting, and great location. It's a great place to stay.

  • Hackney Park is wonderful. It’s spacious and super clean and private and is amazing value for money. The decor is pretty retro and we loved it (four girls in their early 30s). Loads of parking, great location for exploring the New Forest (you’ll need a car to make the most of it) and a stunning view. If you like horses there are a couple friendly ones who come say hi (behind a gate - they wont get near if you don’t want them to). Helen was quick to communicate when needed (we asked for cards and she kindly lent us some) but leaves you to get on with it. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking to explore New Forest.

  • Great location for a getaway in the New Forest. Although basic and slightly dated decor it was great value for money, warm and very comfy beds and also a lovely view. We also went for a fantastic meal at the Mill which is a half hour walk, though no pavements. We all had a lovely stay.

  • Maria is probably the best airbnb host I’ve had so far. She is very hands on and accomodating and responsive but at the same time, she gives you the space you need for a private getaway. Her house is a gem in New Forest and you can truly immerse yourself in nature. We needed a weekend to relax and just enjoy the scenery and we got more than what we expected. The breakfast was a plus, and she prepared the food fresh everyday. 5 stars for this airbnb and highly recommended!

The cottage feels very private and it's lovely to wake up with a view across the fields every more (including the occasional deer). The cottage is decorated beautifully and has a lovely log burner which was great in the middle of a cold February! I'd very much recommend the cottage for a couple looking to get away for a romantic trip; you have everything you need in the cottage plus lots of places to visit in the local area and across the forest. Hayley was a fantastic host, checking that we had settled in and that we had everything we needed but also left us to it to enjoy our time in the country. I really would recommend staying at Cowman's - anytime of the year.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Cowman's Cottage for a couple of nights, very spacious but at the same time cozy, we loved using the log burner! Very stylish decor and lots of thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. Great location to explore the New Forest and coast. Hosts very quick to respond and helpful. Will definitely be back!

  • I booked this for my Mum, sister, and two friends as a birthday treat whilst I was out of the country. From the offset Hayley was super helpful & did the most to ensure the booking was perfect! I ordered a balloon to be delivered prior to their arrival which she set up for me in the cottage which was so lovely and made my mum’s birthday extra special. The hamper she left to say happy birthday was a wonderful touch and my mum was so grateful! The cottage itself is gorgeous and in such a perfect location with tons to do in the surrounding area to fill your time. My family loved every second of it, and especially appreciated the tea / coffee / hot chocolate provided as it was raining outside and they needed a warm drink when coming back in! Would 100% return and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break away in a luxurious setting! Thank you so much :)

The interior is very nicely decorated. The king size bed is very comfortable and the shower is great! The hosts, Doug and Patty, are very friendly. Will definitely come again. Thank you!

  • Really lovely place to stay in the new forest, the barn is very cosy and has everything you need. Doug and Patty were both very welcoming and also gave us great tips on places to go. I left a jacket behind by mistake and Doug was kind enough to mail it to me!

  • This is a nice place to stay, with a good amount of space. Cosy and warm, on the colder Autumn evenings. Living area spacious to relax in and with everything we needed. Doug was helpful and welcoming. Pretty countryside views and a selection of pubs in the surrounding area for dinner.

    Zoe2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Host was very helpful and even picked us up from the train station. The space is better than the photos suggest, was very clean and tidy and has a full kitchen unit.

  • The Converted Barn was the ideal get away to the country and away from work and hectic life. Beautifully laid out, cosy and warm, with a stunning view from the kitchen while cooking. Perfect location to the New Forest and also not too far a drive to Bournemouth for some town life too and the sea. Very friendly host, open and welcoming. My partner and I loved our stay here, and we can strongly recommend it to others! Thanks very much Doug!

The Hayloft, as we fondly refer to it in our family, is a delightful hideaway, tucked away in the heart of the New Forest, with everything you need to escape from the stresses of every day life. Once a stable block, the Hayloft was recently converted into a charming maisonette spread across 2 floors. Having retained all its countryside charm thanks to the original wooden features, the HayLoft feels cosy and homely yet is surprisingly spacious and well-equipped given its size.
Downstairs features a small kitchen with all the mod cons, a cellar-cum-utility room and a bathroom with shower and bath tub. Upstairs meanwhile, you will find a bright and spacious double bedroom with an adjacent smaller bathroom and a lovely open plan living and dining area complete with fireplace. The dining area with space for up to 6 (thanks to a foldable round mahogany table) as well as a large sofa and two comfy armchairs - makes for a very sociable and relaxing living space. Last but by no means least, guests can soak in the beautiful surroundings from the top floor 30sq metre wooden terrace - equipped with an outdoor table & chairs for up to 6 people and a sun lounger. A double sofa bed is available and means the annexe can accommodate up to 4 guests.
The house is walking distance from the famous New Forest - where two legs are definitely better than four wheels if you truly want to experience the wonders of this breathtaking national park. Think ancient woodland, beautiful heathland, pretty villages and a 40-mile ‘secret’ coast. There are more than 140 miles of tracks and footpath, where you can enjoy easy-to-follow walking routes, short strolls or long-distance trails. One of the things that makes The New Forest so unique is to see thousands of free-roaming ponies, donkeys, cattle and deer on your travels around the national park. In the warmer months, be sure to head down to Lymington for a spot of sailing or, you can hop on the ferry to the Isle of Wight for some delicious fish and chips or a long luncheon at the easy-going yet unforgettable Hut Beach Club in Yarmouth(https://thehutcolwell.co.uk). Many people don’t associate the New Forest with a coastline, in fact it stretches from Totton nr. Southampton through to Barton-on-sea going west and runs for 40 miles. There are plenty of beautiful beaches for you to visit whilst you’re here. Whether it’s a boiling hot sunny day, or a cold crisp morning, the New Forest coastline is a wonderful place to go to, for a walk or a spot of swimming/ sunbathing. Another-not-to-missed local destination is The Pig in Brockenhurst, with a picturesque greenhouse restaurant a walled kitchen garden - makes it the ideal place for a Sunday roast lunch!
  • An absolutely perfect stay and made so much more enjoyable due to the great communication throughout. Highly recommend this property and host

  • Lovely space in a lovely place. Perfect for a stay in the new forest.

    Stuart2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay in the New Forest. An excellent, spacious and clean apartment, exactly as advertised. Location great with all of the New Forest easily accessible no matter what you would like to do. Efficient kitchen, modern and clean bathrooms, lots of comfortable space in the main living area and convenient parking. Other reviewers have written about it, but when it turns out you decided to book for a stay during storm Dennis, the wood burner is absolutely perfect for a cosy and romantic stay. Recommended.

    Shaun2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Hayloft is a fantastic spot for a short stay and offers warm, homely and comfortable vibes. Although we did not need to contact Arabella at all during our stay, due to everything being so well laid-out, Arabella’s initial communication with her very well detailed handbook was very much appreciated and indeed very useful. Would recommend highly for anyone, whether it be a group of friends out on a hen/stag or a family with small children, as the Hayloft feels suitable for all ages.

    Bruno2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Hayloft is a gorgeous setting for a getaway in the New Forest. We had a car, and it was easy to find and a perfect base for exploring the nearby villages and the Forest. We appreciated all the little touches and essentials (eg hairdryer, towels, salt/pepper/coffee/tea) that make travelling so much easier! By far our favourite thing is the wood burner - such a lovely luxury that really makes the place feel homey, warm and country!

The Vineyard is a great base for exploring the beautiful New Forest which is just a stones throw away and also within walking distance to Lymington via a public footpath. The New Forest is one of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed heathland & forest where wild ponies & deer roam freely, & you can too! The nearby town of Lymington is a pretty Georgian coastal town on the southern edge of the New Forest, famous for sailing with its international marinas and its rich history.
From the lounge you can see the Isle of Wight & rows of our vines in the gorgeous Hampshire countryside. The main bedroom is a comfy double bed on a mezzanine level looking out over the living area, this has an en-suite loo. In the main living area, the sofa makes into a double bed if you are more than 2! If you have a baby, we have a travel cot and a high chair which we can put in there ready for your arrival. There is a lovely large bathroom with a bath & shower on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped (no microwave I’m afraid). We have room for bikes and boats on trailers - just ask! (additional cost of £25 for boats we ask for cash on arrival for this)
We have a fantastic selection pubs and restaurant’s just walking distance along a pretty footpath. The local footpath runs around our fields, one direction takes you to Lymington the other takes you to the New Forest.
  • Great host in a great location. The place is actually a lot bigger than the pictures would have you believe. We enjoyed our weekend here and loved the personal touches to our stay. Would highly recommend.

  • The cottage is the perfect place to stay in the new forest. It is sparkling clean and very tastefully decorated. The beds were so comfy and the whole place is very peaceful. The keys are left in a safe which was super convenient and sophie was available if we had any questions. We were even left a bottle of wine and chocolates which was an amazing touch ! It is very close to the pig, close to a big waitrose for amenities and not far to Lymington which is a gorgeous place for coastal walks. I can’t wait to come back and will definitely recommend to friends as the perfect country break from London. Just 2 hours drive!

It is such a lovely place to stay, sparkling clean, spacious, we lacked for nothing at all amenities or instructions wise. We appreciated all of the homely touches, and the welcome gift was so kind! Sophie was a wonderful host, and we highly recommend the Cottage!

  • Sue's hut was absolutely gorgeous! She was so lovely and when we finally arrived after getting stuck in a ditch, she welcomed us both with hugs and kind words! The bed was so comfy!!! The hut in all was sparkling clean!!! And in summer both me and my partner would love to come back when the weather is better haha! Thank you so much for a lovely stay Sue, I recommend the hut to anyone who wants a quaint little stay in a beautiful place with a lovely host! The only thing I'd say was misleading was the fact that airbnb shows the wrong address which is why we got lost! But Sue was so thoughtful and stood outside her cottage in the rain waiting for us when we finally got there so we'd know where to go!!! Her neighbours we so kind and lovely and helped us when the car got stuck in the ditch and came out to help us get it out and back on our way in the poring rain storm and even offered for us to come in to get warm and dry! Thanks again for a lovely stay Sue, next time we'll come back for longer than a night because both me and Alex didn't wanna leave haha x - Ren and Alex xxx

Sue is a warm and thoughtful host. She left some lovely things for me to eat. I was able to sit outside and have my breakfast. All in all a great place to stay and I intend to go back.

Come and stay in our stylish garden lodge offering comfortable self contained accommodation for 4. Two bedrooms, shower room, open plan sitting / dining / kitchen area & private garden. In National Park, just 1 mile from Lymington.
Cute little lodge offering comfortable & well appointed family accommodation in the New Forest National Park, just outside the Georgian market town of Lymington.
We’re in a semi rural location surrounded by footpaths and within the New Forest National Park. There are two pubs within easy walking distance although there’s no pavement outside our home. You can walk into Lymington or the open forest using the footpaths (but bring walking boots or wellies and long trousers in the summer!) We are a short drive from the beach at Milford and it only takes 3 minutes to drive into Lymington - so seaside and countryside all on our doorstep.
  • Excellent location central to all of the beautiful villages the new forest has to offer! Clean and tidy accommodation with lots of thoughtful touches added to ensure you have everything you need. So lovely to meet such friendly and welcoming hosts and we look forward to staying with you again.

  • Great location, great hosts. This place was perfect for me and my dad as a base for our little trekking getaway. Simon have us tips on where to go upon check in and breakfast amenities were already provided! Only downside was that the WiFi did not work/connect so we were unable to watch movies as we had hoped in the evening but it turned out to be quite nice to plug out! Would recommend definitely and am considering returning if I come to new forest again.

  • This was a last minute booking, the hosts were really quick in getting back to us and made sure the cottage was clean and ready for our arrival, including extra touches like milk and juice in the fridge. Deceptively big accommodation, our 4 year old loved the bunk beds. It’s in a great location for Lymington and surrounding villages, we would highly recommend.

  • We had a very pleasant family holiday in Joanna's cabin. Everything was perfect and we really appreciated the little touches when we arrived.

Hidden away and nestling in beautiful countryside we provide a peaceful retreat for our guests to unwind. Being a totally self contained private wing of the farmhouse, Rushcroft Lodge is set in its own pretty sheltered, secluded garden. The New Forest Nation Park, local village, shops, pubs and train links to London and local towns are all only a short walk from the farm.
The light, space, airiness and decor of the Lodge, and its secluded little garden is very welcoming. With beautiful views over the farm, the bedroom is on the first floor. Down stairs a shower room, kitchen and an open plan living room/ dinner down stairs with a sofa bed for an extra guest if required. Very conveniently located within walking distance of Sway Village and the New Forest National Park. We are also only a short drive away from glorious coastal areas such as Lymington and Highcliffe. On the farm we breed rare English Goats and keep horses. Guests are welcome to bring their own horses by prior arrangement.
The village of Sway is within easy walking distance with a good range of local shops and two great pubs.
  • Great location Wonderfully presented

  • Fantastic little place and well worth the money.

  • This was an amazing place. If we ever are going to have a vacation in southern England again, this will definately be the place we would choose again. Easily a 5 out of 5.

  • Rushford farm is a mini camping with a few cottages, a caravan and a lodge on a farm. It is quiet there. There is a train station nearby and you can hear the train, but that is not disturbing. The village of Sway is also very quiet. The lunchroom and the old are of excellent quality. Sway is fairly centrally located in the New Forest, allowing you to discover the New Forest from here. The train station offers opportunities for traveling further afield. In short, a suitable location for discovering New Forest.

    Erik2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely break at Rushcroft Lodge with our 5 month old. The space is really great with a beautiful garden and added touch of seating overlooking the fields which had sun late into the evening, perfect for a drink after a day walking in the forest. The hosts were also really helpful bringing us matches when we realised we’d forgotten anything to light our BBQ with! I’d love to return again with my horse one day, perfect place for a riding holiday.

    Clare2019-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rush Croft Lodge is a fantastic base to explore the new forest from. Being on the farm it is very peaceful but only a 5 min walk from the train station, local shop and pub. Sway itself has a couple of good options for dinner and drinks and Brockenhurst is only 5 mins away by train and has lots of restaurants and bars. The lodge was very cosy and comfortable and ideal for a getaway.

    Olivia2019-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spot: a small, two storied residence attached to a farmhouse. Comfortable and tastefully furnished, with views of garden, fields (with goats) and neighboring woods. Located just outside the pretty village of Sway with easy access to the New Forest and the coast… we especially like the neighboring towns of Lymington and Highcliffe. Lynn and Mark are a cheerful presence - there when needed but not intrusive. Overall a most pleasant place to stay.

  • Amazing facilities at the very heart of New Forest. It has everything you need for a chilled and cozy stay! Sparkling clean, well decorated with brand new furniture, amazing views from the park and a backyard for yourself. Very private and quiet. It’s easier to arrive by car however there is a bus stop around the corner that takes you to Lymington and Brockenhurst/Southampton (does not run often, though). I had the most spectacular stay and would definitely recommend it to friends!

Hidden away and nestling in a beautiful farm setting in the New Forest village of Sway we provide a peaceful retreat for our guests to unwind. We have three self-catering cottages; No 2 Rushcroft Cottage sleeps 4 in a modern light, bright and airy barn conversion with a luxurious king size master bedroom and a cosy twin. The New Forest National Park, local village, shops, pubs, train links to London and local towns are all just a short walk from the farm.
The light, space, airiness and decor of our barn conversion, 2 Rushcroft Cottage and its secluded little garden is very welcoming. With beautiful views over the farm from the main living area and twin bedroom. The double with luxury king size bed overlooks the secluded courtyard garden to the rear. The living and kitchen areas give spacious open plan living with high ceilings with a lovely bright, sunny ambiance. Very conveniently located within walking distance of Sway Village and the New Forest National Park. We are also only a short drive away from glorious coastal areas such as Lymington and Highcliffe. On the farm we breed rare English Goats and keep horses. Guests are welcome to bring their own horses and dogs by prior arrangement and extra payment. The village of Sway is within easy walking distance with a good range of local shops and two great pubs. The village also has a train station with great connections to London and local towns and costal villages close by.
  • Nice spacious place and a great location for exploring the local area. Very good communication and easy check in. Our boys loved meeting the goats too, which made it special for them. Thank you very much.

  • We stayed at Lynn's cottage for 3 nights (30 Dec 2019 > 2 Jan 2020). It was perfect, much better than we had expected. The pictures do not do it justice! The kitchen had far more than we thought it would. Comfortable seating in the living area. The place was very clean and the beds extremely comfortable. We were two couples staying and it is very spacious, not on top of each other at all. Both days we chose to drive out to visit places to walk, although to enter the forest you wouldn't have to drive. We visited the Hare & Hounds pub twice for dinner, which was very nice and would thoroughly recommend. We also went to the Silver Hind just up the road from the cottage for drinks and it was ok, nothing special but if you're just in need for a drink or two its fine. Both pubs very friendly. I would 100% recommend this place to stay.

    Emma2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The property is one of two in a converted barn on a farm at the edge of the New Forest. It is accessed by a short flight of wooden steps leading to a veranda, but inside is all on one level. Everything was very clean and chairs and beds were comfortable. There is no garden but there are tables and chairs on the veranda and in the back yard. There is an adjacent campsite for a small number of caravans, but it was closed at the time of our visit. There was plenty of room for parking opposite the properties. The site is remote enough for there to be no traffic noise (just an infrequent train). The nearest pub serving food is a few minutes walk away (Hare and Hounds) and the food and service are good. Likewise the forest heathland is a short walk away.

  • This accommodation is simple but beautiful. Every convenience is seen to, from great heating to a comfortable kitchen and relaxing sitting room. We particularly enjoyed the quality of the beds in this accommodation. My wife seldom sleeps well the first night on a new bed but this time she slept like a rock. This accommodation has everything that is needed to thoroughly enjoy your stay in the new forest. It is close enough to the town of Sway to make it convenient but also it is surrounded by farm and forest, ensuring that you are immersed in the beauty of the new forest. There are many enjoyable walks that can be done from this accommodation into the new forest. The accommodation is quiet private and has a private courtyard to sit and enjoy the mornings with coffee.

  • The cottage was lovely, in fact it was even nicer than it appears in the photos! The cottage was clean and there is lots of space. We were staying with our 20 month old and found the cottage worked brilliantly for our needs. The second room had space for a travel cot and has two singles, so it would work well for larger families too. There isn't a bath tub but we managed to convince our toddler to try out the shower! Lynn was very quick to respond to any queries and she does lovely morning sessions with her animals (goats, horses and donkeys) which went down very well with our little one.

    Samantha2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in the heart of the New Forest with easy access to explore the area by bike, car or on foot. We had a great holiday thanks Lynn and Conor loved seeing and feeding the farm animals in the mornings which was a lovely extra touch for the little ones.

  • Imke and Eamonn were perfect hosts and the cottage was a fantastic place to stay. We were welcomed with all the essentials - milk, butter, eggs, bacon, cake and wine! Our four year old twins loved the outside space. We really had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. Imke and Eamonn are friendly and welcoming and were happy to help with anything we needed. I can honestly say this was the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at, and we’ve been in quite a few! I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at their cottage.

    Ellie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We felt welcome from the very first moment of arrival until the moment we went back home. The cottage is located very nicely in a quiet neighbourhood, in walking distance of the extended New Forest. We enjoyed the forest very much by foot and by bike. Imke is taking good care of the guests. She lives next to the cottage. Compared to the vast number of "anonymous" places to stay (we often have never seen the property owner of Airbnb locations) this was a great experience of hospitality. Thank you, Imke, so much for everything!

    Bas2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • A charming and well-appointed cottage in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay immensely, highlights being long bike rides through the New Forest, local beaches, wild horses wandering around everywhere and a day at the National Motor Museum. Great to come back to such a peaceful, beautiful “home” after a busy day exploring the region. The hosts were very keen to make our stay as pleasant as possible and quick to fix any minor issues and offer local advice. We hope to come back!

    Melissa2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for access to both the seaside and the New Forest, and Bournemouth etc half an hour drive away, but a nice and quiet spot. The cottage was lovely - spotlessly clean, stylish, well stocked with everything you could need. Imke and Eamon are great hosts - very welcoming and friendly, and keen to make a stay pleasurable. Lots of nice welcome touches. A very nice place to stay if you are heading to the New Forest area.

    Vincent2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely lovely setting. Nestled in the countryside yet a short drive to a town, the coast, supermarkets and visitor attractions. You can walk, ride or cycle straight into the forest where there are lovely streams meandering through. The cottage is lovely and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities you could ask for. Imke is a gracious host, and her husband helped us with a few things too, even printing off a map to show a local bike ride I would highly recommend a stay here. Sam and family 👍🏻💕

  • Absolutely loved our stay here. The property was so nice and the relaxing atmosphere that the views surrounding the property gave us. Rachel made us feel welcome, leaving lots of little extras. Would definitely like to return .

    Jackie2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Stables were perfect for a weekend getaway. The space was super comfy, cosy and sparkling clean. Rachel thoughtfully left us great breakfast supplies and the fire was ready to be lit. The location was also great - a 15/20 min walk into Sway and a short drive to Brockenhurst or Lymington. Would love to come back in summer to enjoy the terrace.

    Alexandra2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great little bolthole in the country. Lovely log fire to keep warm in the winter!

    Rebecca2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy, extremely quiet location, but not far from anywhere. Everything you need for a weekend away. Extra touches were very thoughtful and the log burner was very welcome after a long cycle ride in Burley.

    Jane2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • That cabin was incredibly clean when we arrived and the host had provided eggs, bacon, bread and orange juice. Check in was smooth and communication was great. The location was easy to reach from the station via taxi and perfect for a walk into Brockenhurst.

    Lewis2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little relaxing getaway in a quiet location. Rachel was welcoming on arrival and left us too it for the weekend but when we needed her assistance she was quick to respond. We took our little French Bulldog who loved the little walks down the lanes to the cosy pub nearby which serves great food. Overall was a very pleasant experience and would definitely visit again.

    Jenna2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures are exactly what you will get in regards to the cabin - cozy, comfy bed, views, relaxation ...and I can’t rave enough about how amazing the log burner is! The location is in the New Forest, but a few minutes drive from amenities and surrounding towns/villages. Perfect for getting away and feeling secluded, but a close drive to surrounding attractions. Rachel has thought about all the nice little extras that make a trip away great and homely. Thanks for all the breakfast things too! My partner and I took our 1 year old Labrador with us and he loved the place, as well as Rachel’s dog too. Highly recommend a visit, and glad we found this hidden gem.

    Timothy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend away for two at the Old Stables. Rachel is a very generous host, there are so many thoughtful touches including breakfast things and candles around the apartment. The location is great, and we tried out a few of Rachel's local recommendations which were excellent! We would definitely recommend a stay here, it was the perfect place - we could definitely have stayed longer.

  • Alex's hut is absolutely beautiful. This was a romantic get away for the two of us and we weren't disappointed. Alex has really thought of everything here. It's a particularly secluded location and you don't feel overlooked as you take advantage of the outside spaces. Importantly, the location also feels super safe. The hut is dainty but super stylish and squeezes the best use out of every inch. Alex as worked wonders in making everything in the hut work seamlessly. Alex has included everything you could need. We actually took stuff with us that we didn't need, such as bin liners, kitchen towel and additional loo roll. The fully stocked fridge with bacon, sausages, orange juice, ketchup and peosecco was amazing as was the hamper with some sharing size kettle chips, baked beans and a choice of granary or white loaves. I almost forgot to mention the preserve tree full of different jams, marmalades and so on! The kitchen area, hot tub, bbq were all spotless and made for an enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this to anybody wishing to wind down and enjoy some down time. Would love to return some time!

  • A perfect weekend if you like dinky spaces. The location is fabulous. The hut is beautifully kitted out. Alex left all sorts of thoughtful touches from a bottle of prosecco to eggs from her hens. A great pub in walking distance, The Pig a short taxi ride away. When you throw in the amazing hot tub too, we needed for nothing more! A really lovely weekend.

  • We really enjoyed our stay! The hut is amazingly clean and well decorated, until the last little thing. It’s cozy and romantic. We loved to spend the afternoon in the hot tub with the Prosecco Alex gave us, aswell the morning walks around the area. It was absolutely a perfect weekend and we highly recommend. Thank you Alex, we will be back! :)

  • The perfect couples getaway. All the little touches make it that extra special. The shepherd’s hut is so lovely and cosy, Alex has thought of everything you may need. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed the hot tub by candlelight with the bottle of prosecco. It was fab! Would recommend!

  • We wanted to find a place to relax away for valentine's day and this was the perfect place. We thought we might have had a difficult stay given there were storms over the weekend, but the cosiness of the Shepherd's Hut couldn't be beaten!

  • Really lovely, clean little hut with everything you might need for a secluded idyllic weekend break from it all. Great for hiking and exploring the wonderful new forest. We even had deers gently wake us up walking on the frozen ground early morning. Amazing. Alex is lovely and the breakfast hamper had some yummy thoughtful things (we're veggie) including fresh eggs from their own hens.

  • Terrific location for a getaway in the new forest. Everything was seamless from start to finish with plenty info from the host. The cottage is cute and has everything you need in terms of amenities and is super quiet. • My partner and I had a lovely relaxing stay in this beautiful cottage. We were only away two nights but settled in straight away. Really nice relaxing feel - Carl and Hayley were very helpful and welcoming. The highlight off our trip was when a group of wild ponies (or are they horses?) ran by us in the forest - a little unnerving but really awesome!

Hayley provides great tips for exploring and we loved using the tennis court for a game in the mornings. The cottage was sparkling clean, really stylish and having fresh coffee and sweet treats provided was lovely. We’ll be sure to come back!
