The apartment is set over a garage with tremendous rural views, it is set within the garden of a 400 year old cottage. The accommodation comprises of a kitchen/lounge with a fridge, cooker, sink, heater, and a TV with WIFI connection. Adjacent to the lounge is a double bedroom with wardrobe, heater and workspace/dressing table, hairdrier and an en-suite bathroom with heated towel rail and shower/bath. The apartment has no off street parking but there is ample space on the lane
The apartment is set within the garden of a private house with a drive directly off Chadwick Nick Lane. This is a quiet country lane offering immediate access to numerous walks without having to drive. Should you wish to drive there are many locations within easy reach, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bolsover Castle together with Matlock, Matlock Bath and numerous local villages including many places to eat and have a drink together with Crich village which is within easy walking distance.
Within a mile walk of the apartment you will find Crich village which has a Post Office, The Black Swan Pub, The Cardale Fish and Chip Shop, The Jeera Indian Restaurant, A grocery store and The Loaf bakery and cafe. All are easily accessed on foot or by car, by foot the village is approached over the Tors, a country walk which offers panoramic views of surrounding towns and Alport Heights. Set adjacent to the village is the National Tramway Museum and Crich Stand, a stone tower which offers panoramic views over the whole area and many counties within view. The adjacent village of Cromford is the start of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site and is the start of the Cromford Canal and the site of Arkwrights Mill, the worlds first water powered cotton spinning mill, a world heritage centre. The area dates from the time of the Civil War and set adjacent to the local village of South Wingfield, is Wingfield Manor, this is the ruin of a royalist manor house which was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell's cannons.

  • Zain's apartment I thought was very reasonably priced very clean and just what I needed for my stay in Nottingham. Everything I could of needed was there and zain went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. There was a place to park my car right outside the apartment. Zain has a great location and was within walking distance of of everything I could of needed plus just up the road from the city centre. It's a very modern apartment with a nice comfortable bed very warm and cosy. The shower was lovely and there is even a washer dryer to clean your clothes. We went to the bonfire show on the forest recreational ground and had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and probably will do again in the future. Thank you for letting me stay

    Welcome to Friars Lodge. We are located in the heart of Sherwood Forest in the historic village of Edwinstowe. Formerly known as a Bed and Breakfast, we have recently undergone renovations completed in 2016 of our annex. The annex is situated on the ground floor and is completely private with its own entrance, it is located at the rear of the main house which makes an ideal location for some peace and quiet. Discount given for guests staying for a week or more. We are pleased to offer two newly decorated bedrooms (one double bedroom and a twin bedroom) Two recently fitted bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and towels. A brand new fully functional kitchen with a comfortable lounge and dining area. The kitchen comes complete with kitchen essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, tea towels, washing up liquid. A full central heating system is installed which is controlled by you at no extra cost. There is also a private garden area for you to enjoy, which is complete with outside lighting and a seating area. There is a bike lock up and washing down area available along with ample off road parking suitable for a motor home or horse box. Well behaved toilet trained pets are welcome; however this must be discussed with owners prior to booking. We charge £10 cleaning fee. Washing machine and tumble dryer is available to use during your stay. We have a travel cot and high chair available for use at no extra charge. If required please let us know. We also have many other baby items available for use to help make your stay more comfortable, eg: toys, books, blankets.     The apartment is on 3 floors within a grade II listed building. The kitchen is spacious with a log burner and all the nice appliances such as an American style fridge freezer, wine cooler, range cooker, coffee machine and a dishwasher. The glass-blown staircase leads up to the the snug and dressing room, which is cosy, off this is the bathroom with a large walk in shower and an infa-red sauna. The staircase in the snug leads up to the bedroom which is under a beautiful array of beams.
    The Granville House Apartment over 3 floors is in a quirky, beautiful building and you can relax within the surroundings of the apartment and the village. The house has so much history as some parts are Tudor, Georgian, Victorian and present day. The house was once owned by Henry Jackson who founded the Tutbury glass works which was one of the first blown crystal glass factories started up. Tutbury became very known for its glass and Granville house was Jackson's townhouse. He commissioned his workers to create an amazing glass-blown staircase in the main house and the last owners of Georgian glass in Tutbury where commissioned by us to blow glass for the staircase in the apartment. The apartment will have all your needs met. Toiletries supplied, towels, board games, music, information folder. A welcome pack will be included in the price so you don't have to rush about shopping, this will include milk, sugar, tea, coffee and bread.
    The village has a great feel to it, with a variety of independent shops along the Main Street, from cafes, antiques and an art gallery. Opposite is a grade I listed Tudor coaching inn and bar. Tutbury is very historic with a Norman church and a medieval castle that Mary Queen of Scots stayed at before being taken to the Tower of London. There are a variety of great walks on the doorstep such as along the river or over the fields to other villages (info in apartment)

  • We loved our stay at Ruth's place. We did quite a bit of cooking during our stay and found the kitchen brilliant. Plenty of space, and well equipped, including a really good double oven, big fridge/freezer, coffee machine, wine cooler - really everything we could have needed. Loved the cosy area on the middle floor, complete with piano!! And the sauna was a massive bonus (as well as a really good shower!) Bedroom was dark and quiet so perfect for light sleepers. Location was great for us (right on the high street) and parking outside the house was really easy. Ruth was the perfect host: easy to contact, super accomodating and very hospitable. Would absolutely recommend.

  • Great three storey accommodation, full of character, excellent location on the high street, opposite the Dog and Partridge pub, with the castle only a short walk away. We received a warm welcome from Ruth and immediately felt at home in the property. The love hearts and rolos to help us celebrate our anniversary were a nice touch as was the welcome hamper with fresh bread and milk and choice of teas and coffee. All towels and bed linen were lovely and fresh and clean and we enjoyed the use of the sauna during our stay. Only potential negative for some people would be the stairs which are very steep - anyone with mobility difficulties may struggle (I use a stick but coped okay - just take it steady).

Very well connected to public transport as well, if you would like to explore more of Derby and surroundings.     Due to the location sometimes it may become a bit noisy, therefore if you're a very light sleeper this is not the ideal place and we recommend finding suitable accommodation for your needs.
    Very close to Derwent River, the longest in Derbyshire. 15 minutes away from Derby Cathedral, which has the second highest perpendicular church tower in England
  • If you are going to Pride Park for a match, it is perfect- good privacy, clean, nice bathroom. Just keep in mind that The Brunswick is a home only pub on game day but their craft ales are awesome. Try Black Sabbath!

    A listed Malthouse with it's own gated carpark, the Malthouse is a listed building dating back to the 18th century and is a major part of Burton's history. It retains its bare brick walls and high ceilings and our particular apartment still has the high wooden shutters that would have closed off the loading bay where some of the malt would have come in or been loaded on to wagons. A very quiet block of apartments were our guests feel nice and secure with all the coded entrances.
    Although only a one bedroomed apartment, Number 25 is very spacious with its high ceilings and tall windows which let in he light. Expect to feel cocooned in the peacefulness of the whole building. We have made it our mission to retain the industrial feel of the place by using up cycled furniture such as cable drums, tin trunks and hand painted furniture. Cosy throughout with lots of throws and cushions for you to relax and extra pillows for your comfort. Our towels are white and fluffy and our linens are hotel quality and beautifully white. We add many extras to our apartments such as bathroom products, biscuits and coffee and tea. In the fridge you will alway find a bottle of prosecco and water and milk.
    This is the heart of Burton with its many and varied restaurants and pubs, along with a cinema just a few minutes walk way, a bingo club and a gym. Previous guesst often leave suggestions in our visitors book and by leaflet to let you know the best places to visit. But we are on the doorstep of theme parks, places of historical interest, the river and the National Arboretum, and last but not least, the Brewery Museum.

    The apartment has high ceilings and large windows, making it a light and comfortable place.
    The apartment is at the heart of Long Eaton, close to shops, bars, restaurants and clubs. The height of the apartment and the secondary double glazing afford good sound proofing.
  • Margaret's place was clean, stylish and in an excellent location with local transit, shops, restaurants and takeaways within walking distance. Margaret was very accommodating and communicative leading up to the check in process. She allowed my partner to check into the apartment without me as I was traveling to Long Eaton throughout much of the check-in date. The only minor issue we had was that the Wifi (which was in another unit) was occasionally slow in the kitchen/living room. It always worked perfectly well in the bedroom though. Overall we had a great stay!

  • Margaret's place is great. It is clean and comfortable. I appreciated the tea and coffee and milk and cereal available when I arrived. The Saturday market is around the corner and the local Birds bakery is the best. It is a short walk to West Park for a nice walk, run or relaxation. Access to the public transit and grocery stores is a short walk. Margaret answered all my questions - I was new to the area and staying for a long term business assignment. When the weather was warmer than usual, she brought a fan over. When the oven knob was not working, it was fixed promptly. I would recommend Margaret's place to anyone looking for a long term or short term stay in Long Eaton.

We are adjacent to beautiful ancient woodland, with only a 10 minute drive into the Peak District and a 10 minute drive into the city centre. Our apartment is ideal for couples, but has a sofa bed for additional family.
    Entrance to the apartment is via a porch with a storage cupboard for coats, shoes etc. leading into the fully equipped modern kitchen. The kitchen has a ceramic hob, electric oven and fan, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave toaster, kettle, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. Tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter and a welcome treat will be left for our guests on arrival. The tastefully furnished open-plan sitting room has a sofa-bed, 42" TV, an extending dining table with seating for 4 people, which can easily be used as a laptop friendly workspace. Behind the room divider is a comfortable double bed, bedside cabinets with lamps, a full-length mirror and double wardrobe. A separate shower room leads from this space, with a large walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail. The secluded south-facing terrace overlooks the garden lawn and is a great suntrap at breakfast time. Guests will love the variety of woodland birds visiting our garden. Free off-road parking is available with garage storage for bikes and outdoor equipment.
    Millhouses is a quiet suburb, located in the far south-west of the city, close to the Derbyshire border, 15 minutes from Hathersage. Our apartment is located on the edge of Ecclesall Woods and from the bluebells in May to the glorious colours of the trees in October, guests can enjoy a peaceful stroll along the many woodland paths that stretch for several miles. The Visitors' Centre and sawmill, with an outdoor café, is within easy walking distance and regular outdoor activities/craft courses are held during the spring and summer. Millhouses Park is only a short walk away, where the Park Café is situated overlooking the boating lake. The park has tennis courts, a bowling green, a cricket ground and a children's play area with water splash. Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet and visitors centre is a 25 minute stroll away through the woods. This area is an excellent base for walkers, climbers and cyclists. Several pubs, restaurants and take-away outlets are in Millhouses, with many more a short drive away.
  • We had a very enjoyable stay. Location is good for local walks, local amenities, Sheffield centre and The Peaks. The space is well equipped, spotlessly clean, comfortable and private. Nice individual touches like flapjacks and daffodils on arrival. Friendly helpful hosts. We will be back.

  • Jane and Howard were wonderful hosts. They were very accomodating, even when I arrived an hour later than I had said. It was a lovely touch to have some wonderfully delicious homemade flapjacks waiting for us. Their thoughfulness extended into the next day when, having mentioned the previous evening that we were thinking about a pub dinner, Howard came down to give us several guides to pubs and pub walks in the Peak District. I would hightly recommend this place as an option if you're wanting a modern, clean, comfortable, stylish and accessible place to stay near the Peak District.

But to be honest the location of this apartment is pretty much ideal for those that want access to the magnificent Peak District and Sheffield is a stone’s throw. On getting to the property we were welcomed by the lovely Jane and Howard who couldn’t do enough for us, the perfect hosts, very friendly and were always around for any advice. The property is set beneath the main house and is a complete small apartment with every amenity you could think of. The attention to detail was excellent, very clean, modern and well presented. Jane even left a delicious home baked sponge cake for those who are a little bit partial! Guests also have access to a lovely quiet garden where they can sit and have a cup of tea in the sun (English weather permitting!!). Jane and Howard also allow guests to park off road next to the property which was a nice touch. All in all if you wish to stay just outside the Peak District National Park and are seeking good solid value then quite literally you would be mad to pass this up. We would visit again for a more relaxing trip next time! Excellent.

    The large & spacious flat is situated in a converted factory building and benefits from many original features like the exposed brickwork and stunning windows with views stretching to Wollaton Hall. The flat is accessed via a courtyard so you can leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and relax in style! Ideal for a city break, the flat is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bus ride from the City Centre. An allocated secure gated parking space is provided for guests to use if required.
    The building is in a stylish and quiet courtyard development of an old textile mill and the original Raleigh bike factory. The area of Canning Circus is diverse and vibrant with 24 hour shops and some great pubs, restaurants and takeaways on the doorstep. It is very close to the centre of town and old market square.
  • This is the second time we visited this apartment. The arrival arrangements were good. Communication with Jenny and Andy was spot on. They answered all of our queries very quickly. The apartment is 15 to 20 minutes walk from the city centre. There are however buses that go past the building. The main purpose of our visit was to see our son who is at Nottingham Uni and living in Radford Mill. We chose the apartment for its location which is within walking distance of my son’s student accommodation. The apartment is spacious and airy and had everything we needed. The breakfast pack was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. There are a couple of restaurants nearby. We went to a Turkish restaurant which was lovely. Would definitely visit again. Thank you

  • Such a great apartment. Really stylish, excellent facilities, clean and very comfortable. Lovely touches, breakfast things, hair dryer, washer dryer, dishwasher, nice bedding, comfy beds. Netfix on the tv, good wifi connection. Not too far from town, about 15 minute walk. A 20 minute walk took us to Nottingham park run at the forest recreation ground on saturday morning. Tesco Express nearby. My only issue was having just the one key and key fob. Makes things tricky when travelling with other guests wanting to come and go a different times. We had a great stay and will return if in nottingham again.

  • A stylish and clean apartment that will surely make you feel at home. I had trouble locating the apartment and checking in at first but Jenny was very helpful when I called her. We made the mistake of searching the house address on google maps but it somehow wasn’t accurate, so its best to follow the check in instructions given to find the exact location. The private parking space provided is in a gated compound, so its very safe to leave your car overnight. Overall a great place that I will surely recommend to others.

  • Marina’s flat was perfect! She very clearly communicated the check in details and included photos to make the process seamless. When she realized we were checking in late on a Sunday and all the shops would be closed she put a couple bits in the fridge so we could have a tea and breakfast the next morning. It was so thoughtful! The flat was very clean and the location was perfect - very close to the train station and a short walk into town. We will definitely return the next time we are in Retford. Also the Gladys was an absolute star at giving us directions on how to access the apartment and the car park. Although we didnt use it, Gladys has left a file full of leaflets of recommended place to go - we would have dine the bar crawl one if the weather was good!
