Canoe, 2 kayaks, hot tub, dock, swimming crystal warm lake. Queen lux bedding. Loveseat pull out twin. A 2nd queen, twin inflatable. Fully equipped kitchen/amenities. Families w/kids, business guests welcome. Wifi plus smart TV. Close by are museums, theaters, spa services too. Great hikes close by and mountain bike rentals too.
Searsport on coastal Maine is centrally located. I converted the 2nd floor of my lakefront home into a year round vacation apartment with spectacular view. Queen bed for 2 with memory foam topper, can be divided for privacy. Extras can sleep on the couch or queen or twin inflatibles provided. Swim, kayak, fish on crystal water. Fall foliage colors, spectacular. Winter guests enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing. Mountain bike in mud season when ferns and flowers come alive. Games, books, smart TV available. Belfast is 9 miles with many great restaurants to enjoy a lobster.
My home is on a semi private lake/pond on a private road. It is west of downtown Searsport. It is in a woodsy area with an old stagecoach road that goes around part of the lake that is used for hiking and public access to the lake.
  • Awesome place to visit and get away from city 🤙🏽🔥

    Christian2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the stay! Very quaint and homey. The host clearly puts in effort for her quest. Plus the lake was frozen, simply beautiful

    Dali2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Really quiet and peaceful. A great place to get away from it all and enjoy some much needed relaxation. Great location.

  • Bohni’s place is wonderful - clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. She clearly cares a lot about the space and puts time into making it feel like home. The hot tub was very fun to enjoy and look over the snowy pond. Close to Belfast which is a very fun place to have a meal, and driving distance to beautiful Acadia. We had a great long weekend relaxing and enjoying nature at Bohni’s place!

Motherwort Farm is a homestead and herbal sanctuary located in Swanville, Maine. On 15 acres we grow vegetables, keep egg layers, meat birds, have a small orchard, berries, a solar hot water system, photovoltaic system and medicinal herb gardens. Our property includes a pond, woodlands and river. Belfast is 10 minutes away. The cabin is off grid and unheated in a rural Maine backyard. Consider it one step up from camping: bring your own sleeping bag, head lamp, bug spray, and tent for tent site.
The cabin is a small off-grid 12x12 studio with a queen in the loft and couch/bed queen below. Nestled in the trees at the back of our field, a short walk to the pond, river, your own outdoor cooking space and fire pit (bring a camp stove to cook), access to the main outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, fire pit. Walk past the outhouse and Bee Tree Tent Platform, past the blueberries, herbs, vegetables, you'll find a cozy, secluded, magical place, that's the cabin. No electricity, no toilet, a walk to the outhouse, insulated but not heated in winter, rustic, beautiful, and yes it is outside so you will see plants, tall grass and even bugs!
Swimming, sailing, hiking, playing outside, gardening, growing food, learning, the area is rich with beauty, culture and tons of things to do! We do live on a road so you can hear cars. We are 10 minutes from Swan Lake State Park!
  • Such a good place to stay, totally surrounded by nature. Daniel gave me a lot of great tips, thank you !

    Casimir2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and see the scenery but if you need Electronics and power this is not the place for you, but if you wanna be outside in the environment this is the place for you

    Robert2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place will not be for everyone.. if you need electricity, AC, kitchen, modern bathroom, etc look elsewhere.. But, if you want to step back in time, the quiet of nature, intimate space, and a great breakfast served by Gretchen’s children, this may be for you!

    Karl2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay especially if your headed to Acadia. We stayed in the Cabin at Motherwort Farm. Simple and cozy cabin nestled in the woods... would love to come back to see the farm in all its glory during the summer time. Thanks!

  • An amazing little cabin on beautiful land. A lovely way to unwind.

    Malena2019-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and simple. Not heated but stayed warm on a rainy April night. Make sure to bring flashlights/ headlamps. The upper bed was fine for us but I can imagine it might be a little restrictive for larger people. But, the tight space helped up stay warm. The large window allows in a lot of light so the space feel airy and roomy. We appreciate that the hosts left a large jug of drinking water for us. Our kids really enjoyed the space especially a great pillow fight on that fun fold down couch/ bed. Thank you for a cozy experience and an easy stay. Your family was so welcoming.

    Blair2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is beautiful small cabin with one comfortable bed and lots of privacy. When I went in April it was a bit cold, the first night was colder than the rest but with the wool blankets that Gretchen provided and my sleeping bag I slept so comfortable. The outhouse it’s closer to the main house than the cabin, so if you need to use it at night bring a flashlight. Don’t forget to read the article in the binder, about the history of the area. It was very informative and I appreciate it. I had such a relaxing time, thank you.

  • Great place to stay

    Michael2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s place is situated right on the bank of Swan Lake. It has beautiful views of the lake from all windows at the back and sides. Our stay was over Christmas and Michelle had thoughtfully decorated the house accordingly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Michelle.

    Andy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place, clean and comfortable with amazing location and beautiful lake view.

    Michał2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to relax and enjoy the view ! The kayaks were available for us the all time :) a true gem

    Laura2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was a very helpful when we had a few problems in the beginning of our stay of which none were her fault. She was very prompt in replying and very helpful. Beautiful cabin on the lake.

    Don2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was awesome! Michelle was always very quick to respond and answer all our questions. This home is beautifully located on an amazing lake where the water is crystal clear and so clean. The house was perfect for our group outside of the parking which we figured out with Michelle’s help. The extra amenities were great such as the floating trampoline in water and kayaks plus tons of towels and fresh linens. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware.

    Samantha2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s place was fantastic! It was perfect for our family vacation! The house is right on the lake and our 4 and 8 year old sons loved jumping off the dock and swimming and kayaking. Swan lake itself was quiet and beautiful and Swanville was the perfect location for day trips the Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Belfast, and Bangor but still had a nice little grocery store for picking up supplies. The house was very comfortable and great for larger groups. We comfortably slept 6 with room for 3 more and plenty of privacy. We would definitely come back!

Cozy, light-bathed bedroom in the renovated "back house" of an 1850s Maine farmhouse. A peaceful space for healthcare workers or others looking for a place to work or stay during the COVID 19 epidemic. We will keep the room empty for 3 days between guests during this time, and will increase our usual cleaning procedures to include sanitizing all frequently touched surfaces. The room has a private entrance - no need for any interaction with hosts. Dedicated guest parking for anytime access.
Newly remodeled space, including a private bathroom with rainfall shower. Cotton bedding and towels, down comforter, SUPER-comfortable mattress, new heat pump to keep you warm or cool (depending on the season), space heater for those extra cold winter days and nights, a closet and set of drawers. Tea, coffee, and a refrigerator provided in the room. This space is perfect for anyone looking for an affordable, private, clean, safe and comfortable alternative to a hotel room. It is ideal for those looking to spend a night on their way to or from Acadia National Park, traveling to the area for multi-day business trips, or using the room as a cozy crash pad from which to explore the Midcoast region. If you are looking for a space in which you can prepare meals, enjoy cocktails on a private patio, or be secluded in the Maine wilderness, our place probably doesn't fit the bill...but there are many other options in the area that would. Other details to note so there are no surprises: The room does not have a TV but does have Wi-Fi. There are a set of gravel and wooden steps leading up to the entrance from the private driveway...if you are not able to lift your suitcases this could be a problem, though we are happy to assist with luggage if we are home. Also, our house is much the same as it was in the 1850s but the town around it has grown and the road outside the home is well-traveled. The same location that makes our place a very convenient stop also means that the home is not super secluded....but most guests report a very restful stay nonetheless. Though best suited to two adults, small families with children who don't mind sleeping on the floor are welcome. Ample floor space for a couple of sleeping bags (not provided).
Waldo County has a thriving local foods movement - stop by the Belfast Co-op to check out their well-stocked shelves of local and natural foods, or visit one of our two wonderful farmers markets: the Belfast Farmer's Market (Fridays 9-1, year-round, outdoor in summer, indoor in winter) or the United Farmers Market of Maine (Saturdays 9-2, year-round, indoor). Take a walk along the Belfast Harbor Walk, check out the thriving downtown shops and art galleries, and end the evening with a seafood dinner outside on the deck at Young's Lobster Pound, overlooking lovely Penobscot Bay. (Heads up - Young's is BYOB!) Many other places of interest, both near and far - just ask!
  • Spacious and gracious and sparkling new (or it felt like it). A lovely retreat only 5 minutes to downtown. Highly recommended.

  • This spot is a gem! Excellent location, warm and inviting space, thoughtful touches. Leigh made it so easy to make a last second escape. Don’t look any further!

    Madi2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Leigh’s place was a great studio to stay in for the conference I attended. 5 minutes from the UMaine Hutchinson Center, very clean and warm, great hospitality. I nice place to stay in Belfast!

    Nathan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, comfortable, and clean! We stayed just for a quick night as we were driving through. The space was restorative after a long day of driving!

    Asia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great stay!! Wonderful place to stay, private and familiar. We enjoyed so much spending time reading and relaxing while raining. Leigh and Dameon provided all the facilities, comfort and details to make or stay unforgettable. Thanks

    Caridad2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This space was a lovely spot and close to town. Checking in was easy and Leigh was quick to respond to questions. Thanks again!

    Neshamah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The back house was much better than we expected and wonderful in every way. It was comfortable, warm, really stylish, great coffee, comfy bed. It felt spacious and private but it was very close to Belfast. We relaxed and took advantage of her suggested restaurants which were excellent. The exterior of the main house gives no indication of the adorableness of the inside. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again.

    Megan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two nights here on a winter weekend getaway, and loved it! I would highly recommend it. The space is cozy and charming, with great amenities - the bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The Back House is a great value and offers easy access to Belfast, or other spots in the Midcoast or Downeast region.

This cozy house is walking distance from downtown Belfast, the Belfast Rail Trail, and the Belfast Harbor. The house is a romantic nest for two or a crash pad for up to six. Live comfortably while gaining easy access to all the cool adventures Mid-Coast Maine offers. Please note this is a real older house in a real neighborhood. It is eco-friendly and I do not use pesticides. You may see harmless house spiders, birds and plants. If you are looking for a hotel experience, please stay in a hotel.
This lovely bungalow style house has a full kitchen with all the kitchen tools you need to cook using easily obtained local food. It has a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, full stove with oven, all pots, pans and dishes, and all silver and utensils you might need. The Belfast Co-op and two local farmer's markets are walking distance away. The sleeping arrangements offer great flexibility - there is a bedroom with a queen bed, another with twin bunk beds, and also a comfortable futon couch. There is also plenty of room in the yard to set up a tent if you prefer to enjoy the fresh ocean air flowing off the bay. The front porch provides a relaxing place to watch the sky and listen to the wind blow through the willow tree leaves. The house is heated and cooled with a heat pump which allows you to keep the space the perfect temperature at all times. There is a washer and dryer in the basement if you need to cycle some clothes during a longer stay.
The proximity this house provides you to downtown Belfast is awesome. You are only two minutes walking away from Waterfall Arts, an amazing local art center that hosts all kinds of classes for kids and adults, a gallery, lots of events and music, and a farmer's market. Another three minutes walking puts you in the heart of downtown Belfast, which is an amazing small town! Here are some of my favorites: Check out the Colonial Theater for the latest movies in a gorgeous art deco theater with three screens. There are lots of awesome restaurants (faves: Nautlius, Meanwhile in Belfast, Delvino's, Laan Xang, Chase's Daily, Darby's), local breweries/bars (Rollies, Three Tides, Front Street Pub), two delicious ice cream shops (The Chocolate Drop Candy Shop, Wild Cow Creamery), and so many cool stores (Coyote Moon, The Green Store, Colburn's Shoes, Justine, The Good Table, Eat More Cheese, Yo Momma's, Side Country Sports and Bike Shop - you can rent bikes there, and on and on). The Belfast area is chock full of outdoor activities: you can hike, bike, kayak, paddleboard, sail, walk, ski, skate - anything you want, we do it! There are local schooners at the Belfast harbor to book a sailing trip on (Timberwind, Amity), as well as places to rent bikes, kayaks and other gear (Side Country Sports, Water Walker, Ducktrap Kayak). Local trails and preserves include the Belfast Rail Trail, the Hills to the Sea trail, Stover Preserve, Bald Mountain (towards Camden), Head of Tide Preserve, Sears Island (near Searsport), Moose Point State Park, Camden Hill State Park, and so many more! And of course Belfast is a great jumping off place for the full range of what Maine offers: visit Islesboro (twenty minutes drive to ferry, twenty minute ferry ride), Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor (hour and a half drive), Camden and Mount Batty (twenty minute drive), Baxter State Park and Katahdin (two hour drive), on and on...
  • Quaint house in the middle of nowhere. Belfast is an interesting place. Thank you Louisa

    Michael2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place really does feel like a little home away from home. It’s spacious, clean, and there is literally everything you need; from spices to board games. The host is super friendly and replies very fast. Everything worked out perfectly and we had an amazing time. Already recommend the place to a friend.

    Teodor2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a clean, cozy and carefree atmosphere, just like home. It is easy to relax and sit around the kitchen table with coffee in the morning or spend a casual evening at the cottage with take out food from one of the many restaurants in Belfast. It is close to everything, yet very quiet at night.

    Beth2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely convenient location!

    Sam2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

This is a tiny retreat for one or two guests. There is a fireplace facing the twin day bed. There is a screened in kitchenette. No shower facilities...but ask about availability of other cabins to possibly schedule time for use. This cabin is also a perfect add-on to those who need a little more space for additional guests when renting cabin 1 or 3! Winter rental details: We reduce our rates for the for the winter months because it's a great stay, for those who like winter camping in comfort!
This is a "still in the process" tiny cabin that really feels like a retreat from the world. There is no indoor shower but if you are a hardy soul who enjoys off the grid living... with a little luxury...a bird bath does the job. The "bathroom" is a very clean, cedar outhouse next to the cabin with a stained glass window. This is an experience that is perfect for some...and not for others. Read description thoroughly and ask questions if needed. Adventure and seclusion await! Winter rental details: We reduce our rates for the hide-a-way for the winter months because it's a great stay...but for those who like winter camping in comfort! This cabin heats up beautifully with the fireplace and is so snuggly...but shoveling a little snow and lugging a few armfulls of wood might be part of this woodland experience...oh...but if you are up for it...what an experience!
Jackson is a lovely town right on rt 7 with great access to the Bangor Airport and the beautiful coastal town of Belfast with many treasures to explore from there. Many of our guests are on their way to or from visiting Acadia which is about 1 hour 30 min away. Locally the Jackson/Brooks area has beautiful farms and events associated with those locations. It's not far from the famed Lost Kitchen...book well in advance! A golf course...The Hills to Sea trail...and great local food are all close by with seasonal events happening throughout the year.
  • Perfect cabin for a weekend getaway! Such a cozy and cute place. As soon as we arrived, the cabin was so warm and toasty due to the fire that they had already set up for us! Thank you Jim & Doreen. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Maine! -Darlene & Alex

  • This quaint and quiet little cabin is darling. The outhouse is clean and easy to access. Having the wood stove during the chilly night was charming and cozy. I’d come back again.

  • Great little place to stay!

    Amy2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little cabin, perfect for one or two people. I needed a place to stay for one night while at the Common Ground Fair. The cabin was an easy 20-minute drive from the fairgrounds on country roads. It sits among a cluster of 3 or 4 cabins that share a driveway,so even though I was traveling alone I felt safe with other guests next door. It had been renovated recently so all of the wood inside was brand new ; the twin beds very comfortable; and the cabin was nicely decorated inside too. I didn’t have time to use the wood stove but I imagine that would be nice on a cool evening . There was an electric heater that warmed the cabin quickly. The kitchenette is on a screened porch. So sweet! And if all of that wasn’t enough to delight, the outside (heated) shower had just been installed and I was able to enjoy a warm shower outside in the morning. Such a wonderful experience! Next time, I will stay longer and use it as a jumping off pad to explore the Midcoast. Belfast is an easy 20-minute drive. Really enjoyed my all-too-short stay!

    Heather2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and cozy place. A small bed for 2 people but which favor the reconcialiation ;) . Outdoor shower 85% finished (very soon complete) but very effective. We loved the place. Thank you

  • Cute, cozy apartment just outside Belfast. Just needed a place to crash and this was very lovely. Amy was very friendly when I bumped into her in the evening!

    Katie2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amy’s place is a nice place! I stayed there while visiting family. It’s a modern and simple place that has all the essentials- towels, WiFi, Roku and coffee! I found the place to be sparkling clean. I didn’t interact with Amy but I prefer less interaction while traveling as I’m typically too busy and/ or tired from driving to want interaction. It’s just a few minutes outside of town and easy to find.

    Joshua2019-12-21T00:00:00Z

  • The word apartment doesn’t do it justice. It looks and feels like you’re staying in a tiny little cottage! Very clean and quiet. Although the sofa was rather uncomfortable the comfy bed made up for it.

This is an adorable rustic but lux little get-a-way in the heart of Jackson, Maine. There are several cabins built on the property creating winter village feel. We've opened this cabin to winter rentals with the caveat that a guest could potentially wake up on a very cold morning with a temporary loss of water at the kitchen sink due to freezing. However, the condition is usually temporary and just effects the kitchen sink and not any of the bathroom fixtures.
This listing is for the front cabin called the Bird's Nest which is now completely renovated! We are always adding to and fluffing it. Please let us know what your needs are and we can give you an idea if this cabin might be a good fit for your escape. Situated on 10 wooded acres to wander on.... and another 100+ acres down the road with a stream, pond and woods roads for hiking!
Jackson is three miles outside of Brooks and has a little cafe that resources from some amazing local farm foods. Ralphs Cafe is seasonal so check hours. Very centrally located to Augusta, Waterville, Belfast and Bangor.
  • An amazing place for quiet reflection and cozy comfort. The wood burning stove kept everything nice and toasty, but even if we had not used it, it was still warm and comfy inside. It did add a great amount of ambiance though! It doesn't have a tv, but we did not miss it even a little (even my teenage son didn't miss it!). Beds are quite comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. If you have difficulty climbing, stay in the bed downstairs. But the loft upstairs was so nice and worth the climb up the unique staircase. Jim and Doreen's directions were spot on and they gave us a head's up on any inclement weather conditions. It was a wonderful place to stay and we hope to be back again next year!

  • Great little cabin tucked in the woods! My husband and I were impressed with the thoughtful details and incredible amount of comfort provided in this cabin. We can’t wait to come back, 10/10!

  • Such an amazing spot! You won't regret staying here, we are already plotting our return. Note that nearby Ralph's is not currently open for dinner so you will need to travel a bit for dinner (it's open for breakfast and lunch though!! It's sooo good)!

    Katie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was perfect for our stay in Maine. It was very clean and quite cozy. It has a homey feel that you don't get everywhere. There was easy communication with the hosts and questions were answered quickly. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to stay again.

    Susan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a sweet spot, tucked away in the woods. The hosts were very responsive and sweet...and the amenities were super clean and fresh feeling. Would definitely recommend!

    Kate2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Super great place .. the craftsmanship of the renovations was amazing ..

    Kris2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is amazing. It’s gorgeous, clean, smells incredible, and is just the right distance away from town. My husband and I aren’t very outdoorsy, but we loved it. I think people more outdoorsy than we are would absolutely adore it here. The beds were both so comfy, and the pillows are amazing. The wood burning stove is also great! Love, love, love.

    Megan2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an excellent cabin!! Cozy, clean and just adorable! Relaxed by the fire pit and snuggled up for a couple nights for a weekend getaway. Not hard to find at all and great local stores for food and goods. Loved Ralph's cafe down the road. We will be back to visit again for sure! Don't pass up a chance to stay here if you can!

  • This was my 2nd time staying here. The loft is extremely comfortable, large, bright, open but still cozy. Right in town, two blocks from the harbor and super convenient. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. It's a great deal and staying here will make you happy.

    Gary2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolute gem of a space! You are in the best location in Belfast, right on the harbor side of Main Street, with easy parking right behind the building and just a few steps away by a little gravel path. The apartment is an open-concept, absolutely gorgeous loft space. I felt like I was in a Brooklyn loft in midcoast Maine. Hannah and Thomas thought of every detail - books, games, coffee-maker and coffee, creamers in the fridge, shampoo and body wash in the shower, etc., and went above and beyond to leave some treats here and there for an extra-special touch. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back and recommend it to others. Thank you!!!

    Lisa2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beautiful!! The windows are so large and you can see incredible sunrises over the ocean. It was spacious and worked really well for thee of us to stay and a team of five to work out of for an intensive week. We were so pleased!!!

    Julia2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely a beautiful place!!!

    Emily2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah & Thomas’ place was amazing! So trendy, incredibly located, and reasonably priced. I would recommend it for anyone visiting Belfast.

    Danielle2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is beautiful and sun filled loft style apartment in a perfect location. Clean, stylish, easy check in, super comfortable, and spacious. Loved it!

    Rhonda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing find for midcoast Maine. The apartment is a gorgeous loft apartment with two very spacious, comfortable bedrooms and of course a huge living/kitchen area. Check in was a breeze and you literally have the best of Belfast and midcoast right out your door. Stay in town or go explore all the wonderful offerings of the midcoast. It's lovely not having to drive to get breakfast at Chase's Daily or snacks at the food co-op. It would be very very comfortable for two couples, or a family. A very well appointed kitchen would make having meals at home very easy after a long day exploring. We'll hopefully be back anytime we need to stay in Belfast!

    Emily2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful apartment was everything we hoped for and more. Very tastefully decorated, very comfortable (warm and toasty even in frigid winter temps) with a nice couch and tables to spread out for reading and chatting, perfect in-town location, super comfy bed to sink into at the end of the day, quick and friendly response from host when we had questions. Only downside is we wish we could have stayed longer!

Our cozy home is a short walk from downtown Belfast, with its galleries, parks, and scenic harbor. The room has a double bed, two windows, and a lockable door. You are welcome to cook and eat in our well equipped kitchen; lounge in our comfortable living room; and relax outside among our vegetable and flower gardens . You would be sharing the house with us and our two mellow cats. We are personable and friendly, yet respectful of your privacy. Our clean bathroom has a bath and shower.
  • Very interesting and stimulating decor! Clean and comfortable bed, slept like a baby! Nice hot shower. Sweet cats!

    Phoebe2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice stay at Ivy and Chris. We were well received, entry was easy. Their house is very unique with a unique decoration. We recommend!

    Emilie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The bed is ultra cozy and comfortable, the decorations are homey and artistic. Great shower pressure and all in all we felt welcome and at home here. So close to Main Street and all of the delightful shops by the harbor. And Ivy is a fantastic host!! We barely saw Chris, but the little bit we did, he was lovely and warm as well.

    Louise2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ivy is a welcoming host and her home is in a prime locale in Belfast! This is a great launching point to explore the city and take in the local culture.

    Jonathan2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom is cute, and the bed is comfortable. There is a coffee maker and water. The bathroom is also very nice. It is walking distance to town if you don't want to take your car. It took us about fifteen minutes to walk in for dinner. Ivy and Chris were lovely, and Chris even offered to give us tips about where to eat. A great experience!

It's beside a pond engineered and built by industrious beavers which brings all kinds of wildlife to the area. In the spring, with the snow melt, the pond is full and over-flowing. In the early summer, while the water level is still high and fresh, it's a swimming hole. Later in the summer, the water level drops and the lilies bloom. This is really a beautiful pond ecosystem.
This spot in the Maine woods is close enough to be on the road in seconds, yet far enough away to feel real privacy. The site is on a 130-acre lot of land with plenty of woods roads to wander.
  • This is the perfect get-away from regular life and reminds you why you love the outdoors. Jim and Doreen are perfect hosts and can help guide you along to a great trip!

    Jennie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great overnight camp spot. Really appreciate the wood, including kindling. The outhouse is as clean as other reviewers have noted.

    Robin2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing property, the hosts go above and beyond to provide you with what you need. We were very surprised to have a wood pile, and a grill with propane! Though we prefer to cook over the fire it was still fantastic to have! The outhouse is fabulous. Directions to the campsite were spot on. Truly a hidden gem and SO private! Highly recommend!

    Taylor2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice property!

    David2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the seclusion your campsite gave us. At first we thought the pile of wood was a tent with the tarp over it but were very glad for the wood that was there! It was also a beautiful stop before going to acadia national park!

    Desserra2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot, we camped here after being in Portland and then headed to bar harbor upon waking.

    Kayla2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised, great hosts, very private camping spot

    Clay2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time!Jim and Doreen went into a lot of trouble to offer our family a night of camping with all the equipment waiting for us. Large roomy tents, comfortable sleeping bags and mats, a mobile outdoor kitchen, plenty of wood for the firepit - made our family a night to remember! Thank you!

We would be happy to welcome you to our relaxing little apartment on the 2nd floor of a cute garage. This is a great location for visiting Belfast as we are super close to all the action but set far enough off the road in the woods that you will have a peaceful night of sleep & be ready to explore all that Belfast and Midcoast Maine has to offer. (There is a house on the property that is occupied, but other than that you can't see any other neighbors!)
We are located down a private driveway that leaves you in a quiet area to relax. Downtown Belfast is a very short drive from the apartment where you will find many wonderful places to eat, play, shop and explore!
  • the place was sparkling clean and has some adorable decor!! would definitely recommend this spot to others!

    Sarah2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a comfy apartment. We stayed a long weekend and I was able to cook two full meals using the kitchen and we did our laundry in with the provided washer/dryer. The apartment is nice and warm in the wintertime. It has a spacious bathroom with a big shower. It's right off Route 1, easy to find but quiet and secluded. It's a quick walk to the footbridge into the Belfast Riverwalk along the harbor and into downtown. Alana is a great, responsive host and the place was clean and well appointed.

Motherwort Farm is a homestead and herbal sanctuary located in Swanville, Maine. On 15 acres we grow vegetables, keep egg layers, meat birds, have a small orchard, berries, a solar hot water system, photovoltaic system and medicinal herb gardens. Our property includes a pond, woodlands and abuts the Goose River. Belfast, Maine is 10 minutes away and is a hub for many cool happenings. Come explore the rugged beauty, rural charm, and unique homesteading and organic farming Maine has to offer.
The Bee Tree tent platform is just past the greenhouse under a large pine tree. There are rugosa rose bushes all over that have thorns, the grass is tall, the outdoor kitchen, shower, etc. is a one minute walk. Two small tents or one large tent will likely fit. The view is of our garden and the back of our house. You will have privacy however, this is not a secluded only you and the trees type of place, it's part of our farm. We do have 15 acres however and are open to you camping another place if you check with us first. That is for people who are okay to bushwack and carry in and carry out!
  • We had a lovely time camping! Very comfortable tent platform, a nice place to make a fire, a tidy outhouse, and a beautiful window into Gretchen and her family’s Maine farm life. We especially loved meeting all of the animals (a friendly dog who won’t bother you unless you want to say hi, adorable kittens, and chickens that somehow hardly made any noise at all!). Thanks for having us on such short notice!

    Olivia2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful piece of land, lovely people. We had such a great night cooking over the campfire and enjoying the outdoor space. Gretchen was very helpful and responsive when I realized I left behind my frying pan the next day. Thanks for the hospitality :)

    Leah2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The camping platform was perfect for my needs. I enjoyed the view and would consider renting the cabin.

    Sylvan2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely farm! Didn't hear from Gretchen, but the tent platform was easy to find with check-in instructions. Fall asleep to fire flies and wake up to flowers. Some noise on account of being fairly close to the road. Friendly cat and chickens. A good crash spot after a day on the coast.

    Nora2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for a quick night stay

    Joshua2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Just as described - a well built tent platform with an outhouse and an outdoor kitchen. There's even running water in the sink! They gave us some great tips on where to explore in the area. It's in a great location for exploring Belfast and the surrounding location. Thanks!

  • Everything about Head of Tide Studio is great. It felt very comfortable being there. Very quiet location but close to things. Easy to get from there to places like Camden, Acadia and Bangor. The fresh eggs were wonderful. We would definitely stay there again. It is likely the best Airbnb that we have stayed at.

The preserve opens up to beautiful meadows full of fall colors just right outside your door. Our host was prompt in answering questions and providing assistance. The fresh eggs were delicious! Thank you again Elly and family!

  • My wife & I loved staying at Elly’s place. The space itself is a very cozy loft/studio with all the amenities you need. We loved the skylights and all the natural light. The location is amazing.. very close to Belfast and other locations but also secluded and quiet. There are two beautiful nature reserves nearby with great hiking. Elly and her family are wonderful hosts. We loved the fresh eggs from their chickens and the quick responses to any questions we had. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay. We hope to visit again!

Our private second floor guest suite offers three bedrooms and a bath at our organic farm. Located just one mile from downtown Belfast Harbor, our authentic Maine farmhouse suite provides beds for up to 7 guests. Our farm is within walking distance to restaurants, pubs, parks, hiking trails, and the ocean.
Our guest suite is located on the second floor of our home. The guest suite has a private entrance located at the front of our home- facing the street. When you book our guest suite you are booking the entire second floor. The suite offers three bedrooms and a bathroom. We can accommodate up to seven guests. We will provide clean linens and towels, bathroom necessities, and fresh flowers from the farm for your stay. The Acadia room has a full sized bed, the Russo room has a queen sized bed and the Bouquet room has a twin bed, and full sized futon bed . This provides a total of seven sleeping spaces for up to seven guests. Please review the pictures provided in the listing for additional details about the rooms. The Bouquet room is accessed through the bathroom. We live on the first floor of the home with two cats and a 12 year old. Guests are welcome to walk the 12 acre farm property and enjoy our flock of chickens, backyard fire pit and flower gardens. Of note, our farmhouse is old, and the guest suite is authentic to just that. Funky wallpaper and antique lighting fixtures adorn the guest rooms. The guest bathroom has a tub with an optional hose with spray head for washing hair and rinsing off- this is not set up as a stand up shower, but works perfectly well for a sit down in the tub shower. We have insulated some rooms and evidence presents itself with aging wall paper and foamed holes. Our home is clean, swept, mopped, vacuumed and well kept. That being said, my husband would like it to be very clear that families with young children are advised that our home is old- do not eat the paint on the trim or baseboards. We hope our guests enjoy the farm and all that Belfast has to offer while they stay with us.
Our home is located on the edge of town, directly across the street from the dog park and baseball fields. Our neighbors are a distance away- so our home is generally a quiet place with the occasional noise of traffic going by.
  • This is excellent value for both the accommodation and location near Belfast! Wish I had had more time to stay in this charming historic house, with comfortable bed and good choice of books and a helpful host! I would definitely come back and stay longer! Belfast itself is also well worth a visit!

  • Charlie is a great host. The 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom with a a tub (no shower). Amenities include bath soap, shampoo, Kleenex, and toilet paper.

  • Clean, great location, charm and wonderful hosts! We had a lovely stay

    Kathryn2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Charlie was a fantastic host. The space is old - it is an old farm house and says as much in the description - but the bed was super comfy, everything was spotless, check in was super simple and Charlie offered some great suggestions for local dining and drinking. If you’re looking for anything near Belfast this is your place. I’d stay here again in a second.

    Andrew2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very clean and close to where I needed to be. The host Charlie was great! Thanks for everything!

    Kenneth2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Charlie is a lovely host, friendly and informative. We enjoyed our stay and especially loved the clawfoot tub and great towels! Old fashioned farm house fun and a great entrance with skeleton key!

    Jess2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy accommodations. Friendly greeting. Accurate description of accommodations. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Belfast area.

What a beautiful space for a getaway to Midcoast Maine. Centrally located to enjoy all of the best places the coastline has to offer. Our home is located in the historic residential district of Belfast. The Carriage House Suite boast a private entrance from a private deck, original floors are 13 inches wide from 1862 shipping crates, twenty foot ceilings, a luxury bathroom with double sinks and marble countertops and a 4x6 ft shower, mini fridge, microwave and coffee. Hope you will love it!
The carriage house is adjoined to the main house and overlooks the backyard on the south side and the street on the north side. Captain Boardman built the home in 1862. Captain Boardman is the grandson of the original Boardman to Maine who stowed away on a ship after being charged with treason as a participant in the Boston Tea Party. We love the history of this old house.
1/2 mile to Main Street and excellent for walking!!!! Belfast is the Midcoast hot spot !! Enjoy the harbor walk and the shops and restaurants along Main Street!!!!
  • This is a lovely room in a historic house. The bedroom has an Ardmore with coffee and fridge. The bathroom is large with a walk in shower. It is nicely decorated. The location is easy to get to right in town. Very nice hosts.

  • Excellent host! The carriage house was SO cute and cozy and absolutely beautiful on the inside! The bed was very large and comfy. My husband and I both agreed it was the most comfortable bed we have slept in. The shower was also large and very nice! Every amenity you can think of was there. They also had a nice little fireplace to heat the room! We will most definitely be back!

Our studio apartment has all the amenities--complete kitchen, welcoming living space, queen-sized bed in sleeping nook, and comfortable dining area. The Studio is up a flight of stairs in a lovely, 1804, Federal-style building.
Studio 2 is in a building with 3, year-around apartments (each with a single, quiet/considerate tenant) and one other vacation rental. Although Studio 2 is a studio apartment, about 30'x30', the bed is not in the main living area, but in a nook off the main area. There is a small TV with Netflix, news, sports.
Studio 2 is in downtown Belfast, walking distance from all the shops and most of the restaurants, art galleries, the movie theater, the coop, etc. It is about 3 city blocks up from Belfast Harbor and there is a great little bakery next door. We leave a couple of sheets of information about Belfast in the apartment.
  • Super easy check in/out. Cozy clean space steps from downtown Belfast. Great value.

    Rick2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for our quick visit for work to Belfast! Would highly recommend.

    Catherine2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so perfectly situated to things to do downtown and having a full kitchen is great for the value. The hosts were super responsive and the place was very clean. So happy I got to enjoy Belfast from this location.

    Anna Louise2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect downtown location, spotless clean and super easy checkin/checkout. Though small, it provided everything we needed including a well stocked kitchenette w/fridge, coffee maker, comfy chairs to relax and even a dining table with chairs. Bathroom was updated and spotless. All in all a great value! We’ll be back!

    Vickie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely unit, walking distance to all the great shops and eateries in town. Parking was easy. Quiet and relaxing. Cute decor with a Maine style.

    Erin2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is cozy and location is excellent!

    Sarah2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a very sweet upstairs studio in a perfect central location. On Main Street but traffic noise no problem. Next door to a bakery! Walk to the harbor. Very clean. Comfy bed. Wonderfully easy entry. Note: there is no door on the bedroom nook if there are two people with differing sleep schedules. Kitchen was well stocked with teas and condiments. These superhosts allowed us to arrive early due to our tight schedule, which we appreciated.

Sunny space all to yourselves with a spot to watch videos, have breakfast or celebrate a meal with friends. Bird's eye view of Belfast with video and music, appliances, washer and dryer, full shower/tub and all the doodads one collects over a long and happy life. The stairs are a bit daunting.... it is a historical building and we are not able to change the angle of ascent. The last fifteen steps are equivalent to an incline trainer! I can do it.... and I turned 88 in July.
I live in the apartment so clothing and belongings remain in the drawers and closets. Food in the pantry and shampoo in the bath. It is cozy and lived in; a home away from your home.
77 Main is in the center of the city, walking distance to shops, restaurants, banks and the post office. Parking is provided behind the buildings with access through the hardware store during the day. Huge windows allow a birds eye view of happenings while the third floor keeps you out of the fray.
  • Fast and easy communication, lots of space, clean apartment, great location!

    Jason2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The stairs are not as bad as they look! Just Go slow, but you’re in Maine so you should slow down anyhow!

    Jessica2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the location of this apartment. It was very spacious, homey, and quiet. I especially enjoyed the huge front room with large windows overlooking Main Street. We recommend for those who can manage the steep stars.

  • This is by far the best air b&b we've ever stayed at. The host was extremely accommodating to our needs and flexible when we needed to change the schedule.

  • My stay was amazing.

    Beth2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at Eunice’s apartment. It was not only a great value, it was very loved, very clean and very picturesque. The location was perfect, we were right in the heart of town. There were big, charming windows in the front apartment; we left them open to let the fall air breeze through. The kitchen was stocked with the proper amenities for a home-cooked meal (the Saturday farmer’s market is fantastic). In addition, great tips to local eats were left for the the guest. Lastly, communication was great; the hosts extended a kind hand and couldn’t have been more gracious and responsive. Eunice and Diane were the bests of hosts, both welcoming and lovely. We had a wonderful time, and would stay as a guest again without question.

    Carolyn2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a great value! This place is exactly as described and the location is amazing. Within walking distance to everything. Eunice is a wonderful host and went out of her way to see that our needs were met.

    Janeice2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Eunice's place was great! We really enjoyed looking through our 3rd floor windows to Main St. Belfast. Access to the washer and dryer was very helpful. Many things we wanted to do were walkable. Don't miss Friday night supper and Sunday morning brunch at Chase's Daily. The Thursday night burger and brew special at Nautilus is great. The Little River Community Trail is a fun hike. I highly recommend Belfast and definitely stay at Eunice's place.

Large, bright space in a historic, in-town home with original hardwood floors and crown molding. Located on the first floor of an 1840s Greek Revival home, the apartment includes one large bedroom, a well-appointed full kitchen, plant-filled sunroom, and porch that's great for sipping coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.
Located about a 3 minute walk up the hill from Main St, the apartment provides easy access to Belfast's restaurants, shops, and harbor walk. Belfast's working waterfront is one of Maine's finest and the views from the newly completed Rail Trail are not to be missed.
The neighborhood is filled with historic homes, many of which were built by Belfast sea captains, shipbuilders, and merchants in the 19th century. It's easy to take a stroll through the neighborhood--there are plenty of sidewalks, and very little traffic on most roads. Main St/downtown is a quick walk down the hill.
  • This apartment is decorated lovingly and very spacious! We loved it and will definitely come back, whenever we have the chance! The town is also definitely worth a visit with some amazing restaurants and brunch places!

The "Tree House Room" at Stream Road Farmhouse, located in the bucolic town of Winterport, combines the warmth and charm of an early century home with the ease of modern conveniences; centrally located between Bangor and Belfast. Whether visiting Acadia Nat'l Park, exploring the charms of harbor towns or visiting Stephen King's house (!); you'll get that rural "in the country feeling" while only 10 mi from I-95 and 20 min from Bangor Int'l Airport. *Breakfast incl. & long term stays welcome!
Please note: I have 2 bedrooms available (each under separate listings) - this one is the "Tree House Room" (as it overlooks the park like grounds!), has a queen size bed and can easily accommodate the double size air mattress I have on hand (fairly comfy!) - both are located on the second story and that staircase is extra wide (not the typical New England "steep & narrow"!). The upstairs bathroom will be "private" if a guest isn't booked in the other bedroom (Stream Road Farm House - Oasis Room * which has two twin beds) - feel free to ask, if this is a concern! I've included pictures of the downstairs bathroom which has a great bathtub I'd be happy to share! Also, I have four little dogs (all related) who, although not the yappy type, will bark their greetings - other than that, they're pretty quiet! Smoking is permitted on the outside patio and, in inclement weather, the front enclosed porch may be used (it has windows!).
Penobscot Narrows Bridge & Observatory (the tallest public bridge observatory in the world!) and historic Fort Knox only 15 min. away and the famous Winterport Dragway (fun to watch the races and a great place to walk around!) and access to Maine's Interconnected Trail System both located within a mile from the Farmhouse! For skiers and snowboarders, Mount Hermon Ski Area is approx. 10 miles away.
  • Great place to stay! Very clean! No complaints at all!

This is a woodland cabin that is just waiting for you to snuggle in. Fire pit in the back for campfire fun! This is a small space for a big Maine adventure...💗
This space is pure woodland magic with a front screened in porch and full kitchen and bath. This unique cabin is tucked in the back of the property and is the most private of the three cabins. We've just opened this cabin for January reservations with the caveat that there are winter conditions here in the woods of Maine. Come and enjoy the coziness of a warm, winter cabin visit!
This is a woodland setting located off of route 7 in Jackson. The early morning is filled with the sounds of birds and the warm evening nights are dotted with fireflies. This a beautiful and unique place to decompress from life and to have a little solitude between outings to the local beaches, lakes and hiking trails!
  • This is a lovely peaceful cabin in Maine. It is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Doreen and Jim are attentive hosts. I enjoy staying here when I get the chance. It is a wonderful place to recharge.

    Helen2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Second-timers to this wonderful cabin. Entering into the Beehive is like stepping into peace and tranquility. The decor and furnishings are both charming and comfortable. On a chilly night, the wood cooking stove provides cozy warmth. On a warm night, open the doors for cool breeze. In the morning, you can listen to the birds singing while enjoying a hot cup of coffee. I just can't fully explain how special this place is. The hosts, Jim and Doreen, make you feel so welcomed- we had a fantastic-smelling lit candle and warm stove waiting for us when we arrived. If you are looking for a "happy place", look no further!

    Sarah2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Beehive cabin was a truly delightful space for our Valentine's weekend getaway. Jim and Doreen were communicative and accessible while respecting our privacy, and truly hospitable. On the day of our arrival we drove through very wintry conditions and Jim had a fire going in the woodstove for us. The space was charming, clean, stylishly decorated and with all the basic amenities needed: comfortable furniture, reliable electricity and wifi, hot water and a truly gorgeous surrounding landscape. For those looking for fun winter activities (or year round!) nearby, there's Northern Solstice Alpaca Farm and the Community Market 20 minutes west in Unity and Jacobson Glass Studio half an hour south in Montville. We plan to stay again in the future and will recommend this host to friends and family.

    Alex2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Doreen’s cabin is so lovely. I highly recommend staying here, definitely coming back again!

    William2018-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a unique property & down-to-earth couple! Jim & Doreen are great hosts. If you are into a rustic environment, with the opportunity for a true cabin experience, then this is the place. Very simple & comfortable. We stayed the first week of November, so we got to heat & cook with the old wood stove! Loved every aspect of being in a cabin!! Thank you Jim & Doreen!!

    Steve2018-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so cozy! We wanted to pick it up and bring it with us to make it our new home. The hosts are very accessible but give you privacy. Everything was super clean and beautiful. Highly recommend this cabin!!!

    Nicole2018-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a cozy, warm stay in a rustic cabin, Jim and Doreen's Bee Hive is ideal for one to two people. The cabin was neat and clean and perfect for my mid-October visit to Maine. Jim and Doreen were great at communicating with me in advance of my stay and absolutely accommodating in every way. I would highly recommend this cabin (and these hosts!) to anyone looking for an inexpensive getaway in Mid-Maine.

    Jeff2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the beehive cabin was the highlight of our trip. It poured rain one day and we made a fort in the pillows on the bed in the loft and read and dozed. It was heaven!

Walking distance to downtown, parks, harbor and public access beaches, off-street parking, a lovely child-friendly yard with an old-fashioned swing. Safe space for women, quiet retreat for writers and artists. Unique shopping and great dining in Belfast, or you can drive to nearby beaches and Acadia National Park. No pets.
For rent are two single rooms with double beds and two connected bedrooms with a queen bed and two twin beds that would work as a family suite.
  • Mary is very warm and welcoming! I really felt like home at her place! It was like I am visiting my grandma! I loved the way she decorates her house and I can spend one day exploring her place!

    Fatemeh2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location less than a 7 min walk downtown. The bed was super comfy, space was very clean, and Mary has off-street parking available. She made a lovely suggestion for dinner in town (Nautilus). The historic home has a claw foot tub without a shower, and multiple pitchers are provided so you can fill them to easily bathe - quite charming and gave me an appreciation for modern showers. I stayed for 1 night prior to driving to Acadia to camp for a bit and her location was perfect as you can easily walk into town.

  • Mary’s is a warm and welcoming host. Had a very pleasant stay.

There are a number of beautiful historic homes near by and more than a few amazing food options within a very comfortable walking distance. Mary was very polite, accommodating and the room was clean and quiet. My wife and I enjoyed our short time there.

    Joey2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s space is warm and playful. It’s full of creative energy. The smell of the ocean and seeing it through the trees is magical. I loved hearing the church bells chime at 10 every evening.

This neighborhood could not be safer or more friendly. It is a nice mix of year round and 3 season homes, down a dirt road (well maintained) away from any traffic, etc.
  • Susan was extremely quick to respond to all of our questions prior to the trip and during. She was so helpful. The house is as advertised, it was a fabulous place to kayak and relax at the dock. Having the fire pit was a great addition as well.

  • Great quiet spot to get away from it all! The views are stunning, we swam almost every day and just lounged around. Easy drive to Acadia or Belfast.

    Kaitlyn2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Susan's house with our 7 year old daughter and dog. The location is wonderful, private and with direct access to the lake is perfect for swimming and kayaking. There was also a grocery store close by with everything we needed and the charming town of Belfast no more than 10 minutes away. We took a few road trips to Camden and Rockland but spent most of our time at the house enjoying the lake and barbecuing and making smores on the fire pit. Check in was easy and Susan was responsive. Our family would happily stay at this house again!

    Mireille2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Swanville was perfect. The house really felt like home and we had phenomenal weather to enjoy all of the wonderful perks of being right on a lake. While there was certainly not a lot of reason to leave, having a grocery store about a mile down the road was incredibly convenient. We also enjoyed a day trip to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park, another trip to Camden/Rockland and plenty of time spent in local Belfast, which is only about 15 minutes away. This made the perfect home base for exploring midcoast Maine with the most beautiful sunset views to come home to. Very much looking forward to returning back.

  • This is the second time my wife, dog and I have come out to Susan's place and it was just as much fun as the first. The cottage is super cute and open and the location is terrific. The view is excellent! We have a great time relaxing on the deck or venturing out to downtown Belfast. Looking forward to doing it again!

  • Great location and so great to kayak and paddle board right out the back door.

    Randy2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • This property made traveling with kids enjoyable! After a long car ride our kids were thrilled to have a grassy yard, swingset, and lake to play in. We loved sitting by the fire pit and listening to the loons. The living area was clean and stylish, nicely decorated. The bedrooms were cute and the beds were comfortable. We used the kayaks, swam off the dock, cooked food on the grill and fire pit and enjoyed a bottle of wine on the deck. It was convenient having a washer and dryer on the property too. It was our first Airbnb experience and I don’t think we can go back to staying in hotels now! Thank you Susan!

  • We spent a pleasant and relaxing long weekend at this lovely lakeside home. The house is comfortable and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and just yaking in the view from the porch and lawn. It is close to the charming town of Belfast for shopping and dining.

The "Oasis Room" at Stream Road Farmhouse, located in the bucolic town of Winterport, combines the warmth and charm of an early century home with the ease of modern conveniences; centrally located between Bangor and Belfast. Whether visiting Acadia Nat'l Park, Maine's many harbor towns or Stephen King's house (!); you'll get that rural "in the country feeling" while only 10 mi from I-95 and 20 min from Bangor Int'l Airport. *Breakfast incl. & long term stays welcome!
*NOTE: I have 2 bedrooms available (each under separate listings) - this one is the "Oasis Room" (bright, sunny and inviting!) and has 2 twin size beds. Bedrooms are located on the second story and staircase is extra wide (not the typical New England "steep & narrow"!). The upstairs bathroom will be "private" if the other bedroom (Stream Road Farm House - Tree House Room *which has a queen size bed) isn't booked - feel free to ask, if this is a concern!
  • My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Wendy's place. Wendy is an extremely accommodating and thoughtful hostess, thinking of everything and anything that a traveling guest might need. All accommodations were very clean and inviting. The dogs were a delighted treat and welcomed us as well. Wendy's home was a terrific Winterport experience!

  • Wendy and Tom are super friendly, welcoming and understanding when we arrived. We were heading to Acadia the next day and they provided very helpful information. Their kitchen/common area feels great: the ceiling is tall, and the space is nicely lit with warm lights at night and natural light in the morning. We had a very pleasant breakfast there and some wonderful chats with the couple!

    Michele2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best stays I’ve had in a while! Wendy and Tom were great hosts and the space was very comfortable.

  • Wendy and Tom were superb hosts! I came to the area to explore Acadia and this was a perfect home base for that. Wendy was lovely to chat with and Tom was incredibly knowledgeable about Acadia, and both gave me excellent recommendations on the area! The space was remarkably clean and cozy, I felt right at home. I would highly recommend them.

Welcome to our brand new building. "A Room With a Brew" is located above Belfast's newest craft brewery, Frosty Bottom Brewing. A small community supported brewery open 2 days/week for 2 hours for beer share members. Guests can request a tour of the brewery and sample some fresh beer. Owners live next door and are present and available. 3 miles from downtown on a quiet road that offers local hiking and biking.
Super efficient building primarily run on a solar-supported system. This is a non-smoking building and although we love pets, we don't allow them.
Belfast is a wonderful seaside community! Amazing food, art galleries, hiking & biking trails, farmer's markets. We are 20 minutes from the Camden Hills and 1 hour to Acadia National Park. Owners can offer recommendations on all of the above.
  • Fantastic place to stay with a full and well-equipped kitchen, plus eco-friendly touches like solar panels and composting. Roy runs a very cool microbrewery downstairs and we were able to try some of the beer--delicious.

  • You will love Leah’s place, she has a beautiful apartment with all the right touches. Nice and clean and cozy but not too small. The bed was so comfy and let’s not forget about the homemade chocolate chip cookies, so yummy! You will enjoy your stay for sure, we did!

  • Awesome place to stay! I stayed for two nights while exploring the coast and visiting friends. The apartment was extremely clean and inviting making it the perfect place to unwind after exploring the local area. The modern feel to the apartment was great! I had the opportunity to visit the brewery and talk with Roy about his beer and how the brewery got started. Both Leah and Roy are wonderful hosts. I would definitely stay here again.

    Tucker2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous experience! The house is very quiet and clean. Warm decoration. Perfect for vacation. Leah kept in touch with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok. She even prepared a basket of snacks which is really sweet. We’ll definitely come back if we r visiting again!

  • A beautiful place to spend some time. The place is incredibly clean and beautifully decorated making it a warm and comfortable place to rest and relax after enjoying some fun out and about in Maine. The Room with a Brew has an amazing exclusive brewery below it and having the chance to talk with Roy it shows he is passionate about the brewery. Can't wait to return for another visit.

  • We arrived to find a super cool space and host in Belfast. They thought of everything! The kitchen is stocked with items above and beyond the standard fare. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great! Wonderful, thoughtful products and touches. We were able to partake and some beer tasting and learned a ton about brewing and Belfast! Seriously, Leah & Roy are wonderful people. We can’t recommend it higher! Thank you for making our trip to Maine so special and unique.

    Erin2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Leah's place is impeccably styled and the amenities are great. Perfect location for a weekend getaway with easy access to the cute downtown of Belfast. Leah was great at communicating with us beforehand and during our stay when needed. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Large, fully-equipped kitchen with running water, full-size bed with a new mattress, propane 2-burner stove, microwave/convection oven, fridge and freezer, high speed WIFI, heat and air conditioning, indoor hot shower, outdoor cedar walled outhouse toilet.
There is a short 80 foot trail through the woods to access the R-Pod from the guest parking area. We have young kids, 2 dogs and chickens. They all make noise. The camper is parked on our property near our home in it's own privately fenced area. We will be respectful of your space but expect to hear the sounds of life around you. We ask that you respect quiet hours of 9PM to 7AM and we will do the same. We will consider families with young children. The kitchen table folds into another sleeping area that can accommodate 1 adult or child, 1 adult and 1 small child, or 2 young children. You will need to bring bedding for the fold-out bed if you plan to use it. If you need a little extra room, there is also room to pitch your tent next to the R-Pod. Feel free to contact us about your needs.
The camper is located on a quiet, paved road in a rural, residential area about 3 miles from downtown Belfast.
  • Staying in Sam's r-pod was a really cool experience. The "pod" was clean and well organized. It just has a comfortable and unique feel. Its close to downrown and yet feels out in the country. I appreciate the eco-friendliness and concern for the enviornment. I would recommend to anyone looking for something a little different.

  • Great option for a private sleeping quarters en route heading north to Acadia! Trailer is a nicely arranged space to enjoy for cooking, sleeping, and sitting around while talking or using mobile devices. Loved aroma of evergreens on paths to trailer and outhouse. Close to center of Belfast, but surprisingly quiet neighborhood for good sleep.

    Carol2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is better than expected! It’s cute and has all you need! The outhouse is a bit buggy, but much cleaner than anticipated! This family cares about the environment and there are so many details that show this! We loved our time here. The early morning was so beautiful and quiet. It was lovely to sit outside drinking tea while the sun rose. We were grateful for our time here!

    Megan2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The camper was a lovely way to spend a work night! Check-in couldn't have been easier, the camper was super clean and had enough privacy to feel like a mini get-away. I was glad I brought a blanket, but I chose not to turn on the heat until I got up to shower in the am. Glad I brought shampoo, it's listed in the amenities, but there wasn't soap or shampoo in the shower. Overall, a great place for the money and if I come back in warm weather, I'd check it out again.

    Erika2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sam was very welcoming and the R-Pod is a cool place to stay!

Our studio apartment has all the amenities--complete kitchen, welcoming living space, queen-sized bed, cozy sitting area, gas fireplace and comfortable dining nook. The Studio is up a flight of stairs in a lovely, 1804, Federal-style building.
Our Downtown Gem is located on the second floor of a 200-year-old, Federal-style building (not handicap accessible). The apartment overlooks Belfast's Main Street on one side and a large, grassy yard on the other. The space itself is about 400 sq. feet, and consists of a 15'x15' room with a small kitchen alcove and a separate bathroom. Although there is no cable TV, there is a small TV with Netflix, news, sports. It's perfect for two people.
Our Downtown Gem is about two blocks from Belfast's center and about 6 blocks from the harbor. Belfast is a "real" town (even though it's officially a city). It has a shoe store, hardware store, coop, movie theater, etc. but also, wonderful restaurants, shops, boatyards, walking paths, etc. These are all part of our neighborhood.
  • This place is the perfect little get away; everything you need is one cozy place! The place is really clean, and comfy. Thanks so much for everything!

    Elena2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful studio apartment. I have stayed here several times in the past. It is a clean, compact space. It has been well designed with the guest’s comfort in mind. A full size kitchen, clean modern bathroom and very comfortable living/ sleeping space. Lucy and John are thoughtful hosts and have provided for a comfortable stay.

    Anne2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Downtown Gem is aptly named! The location was perfect for our visit to Belfast, Acadia, Rockport, Camden, and Rockland. The studio was clean, and more spacious than the pictures present. Parking is provided across the street which is a HUGE plus! Thank you Lucy and John for a wonderful, great stay.

    Ju-Hsin2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had all we needed to enjoy our visit to Belfast and the Mid-Coast region!

    Mark2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy and John's place is beautifully situated in the downtown area. There are tons of amazing food places, Hannaford (local super market), and the water's close by. The apartment feels a bit old (the window needs to be propped up and the floor's a bit tilted), but it has everything you need. The hosts have thoughtfully provided pots and pans in the kitchen (including reusable bags), ironing boards and hangers, hair dryer, wifi, etc. We couldn't find a washer and dryer, but there's a laundromat close by. The parking space is very close as well. It feels cosy and homey for our 5 night, 2 people stay.

    Susan2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This downtown gem really is great. It was incredibly clean and in a perfect location. It was in an old, but adorable building, but when you stepped in the apartment everything was new and beautiful with thoughtful touches. All the modern conveniences with a cozy feel. We felt right at home. All the restaurants we ate at were delicious and within walking distance. Other great things to do were all about an hours drive away in all directions. Communication between myself and Lucy was easy. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. Next time we are in town, we will definitely stay here again. If you’re in Belfast, you have to stay here too!

    Valerie2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location, very close to the town (walking distance) peaceful and beautiful place to stay!

    Brent2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect getaway for a quiet weekend in a great town! The space has all the amenities you need and even comes with great home touches like games, books, and a cozy decorative fireplace (that really keeps it warm!). It is within walking distance of all that Belfast has to offer and is quite stylish. Do not miss out on this place if you are staying in town!

From here we easily travelled to Belfast, Camden, Rockland, Acadia state park, bar harbor, Portland and Bangor with ease. A perfect modern vintage getaway! This newly built home has an abundance of open space with native white pine wood walls and ceilings. The kitchen and living room is on the second floor capturing views of surrounding hills and distant ocean. The second floor has 36 feet of sliding glass doors opening to a 36 x 6 ft covered deck. The 2 bedrooms are on the 1st floor with queen size beds. Both bedrooms have 10 foot ceilings with their own private French door entrances to the backyard.
The entry hallway has a stack washer dryer closet, a hundred year old vintage utility sink and a 16ft oak former church pew/bench. The kitchen is brand new with a big farmers sink and five bar stools.
A 5 min drive to downtown Belfast or a 15 minute bike ride. A wonderful pedestrian bridge allows you to enter city without having to cross the big route one highway. Restaurants, coffee shops and a working boat waterfront.
  • We had the most wonderful couple days at Patrick’s home. The space is thoughtful designed and well stocked with everything you might need. The light on the second floor while the sun goes down is truly special. Comfortable, clean, and centrally located. Can’t wait to go back!

Easy access to downtown Belfast, great hiking, Acadia National Park, Camden and Rockland. Hosts are so kind and so easy to communicate with during your stay. • We absolutely loved this beautiful comfortably furnished home. Patrick was the perfect host - warm, welcoming and quick to respond to any inquiries. Spacious, clean and with a fantastic view and sunset seen through the wall of windows running the length of the second floor facing the lake and woods. Great porch. Beautiful wood and many decorative touches throughout. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook meals during our 7 night stay. Comfy bed. Fast reliable WiFi and many tv channels including free Netflix. We highly recommend this Airbnb and hope to return.

  • The place was better than we could have hoped. It was modern with classic touches everywhere. Everything was clean and well kept. Would certainly recommend to anyone staying in the Belfast area.

  • I gave this home a five star rating. The rooms are pristine, the beds and couches are cozy and comfy, and the views are quite lovely. The house is uniquely designed with wonderful decorative arts and architectural details in each room. A rare find, a gem!

  • Patrick’s Place is just as advertised. Very cool space; bright and open but still inviting and cozy. We spent the weekend there for the Camden International Film Festival so we didn’t have much of a chance to enjoy Belfast. But it was a great home to come back to. Beds were really comfortable and so nice to have coffee in the morning looking out to the pond. Thanks Patrick for a great stay.
