Keith was very welcoming and kept in touch while we were there to make sure we had all the information we needed. We spent Christmas there and the house was beautifully decorated with a warm Christmas spirit. The house exceeded our expectations. The décor is inviting and the neighborhood is wonderful as well. Keith was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed before our stay. Check-in was a breeze and the house is amazing. We had rented it for a family and friends reunion and it suited us perfectly. Extremely clean and organized, private cozy bedrooms, a huge living room to entertain, pool table and bar downstairs, a rooftop deck, and plenty of parking. The home has lots of character and everyone who visited say they loved the home. It really is quite nice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a large group planning to stay in the Royal Oak area.

First off, Keith was a dream. Extremely responsive, especially considering he was on holiday, in Australia, and the time difference is ridiculous. My husband and I hosted our kids from Cali and our parents from Florida. All were impressed with how immediately comfortable they felt; definitely a homey vibe. Deep couch. Comfy chairs. Basket of faux fur blankets. The home was decorated for the holidays. A REAL tree! I was ecstatic. Nobody wanted to leave the showers - nice upgrades! The kitchen is definitely NOT a cook's kitchen (yet), but, not to worry, plenty of great restaurants and take-out nearby. As the cook, I have to admit, I was relieved to have a break. We're so grateful to Keith for sharing his haven with us. It was a perfect end to 2015 and our holiday season.

I stayed at Keith's for a weekend with 8 other girls and we couldn't get over how beautiful his home is! The decor is amazing and it was very comfortable. Keith was always available for any questions I had and was a great host! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone!!

I stayed at Keith's home with my wife and two kids. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the home was even nicer in person! The house was super clean and in a great neighborhood. We were there for work and it was an easy commute to all our appointments. The bathrooms were highly upgraded and remodeled and made our stay extra nice...on par with most high-end boutique hotels!

My family and I spent several days in Keith's lovely home. We loved the elegant and sophisticated decor, the heavenly beds and the great location. We found it easy to get around to convenient places, it felt warm and cozy and feels like it's a great bargain. The apartment is comfy and clean; bed is great; and shower is nice and strong! Ferndale neighborhood has many great eating options. We cannot rate Matt and Meredith's gorgeous Hamtramck flat highly enough. It's such a lovely space, with a peaceful, welcoming energy. We felt at home right away. Matt and Meredith were the perfect hosts, and we feel we left Detroit with two new friends. Plus their dining recommendations were spot on! If you're planning on visiting Detroit (and please do, it's amazing) then this is a fantastic place to make your base, with hosts who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Matthew + Meredith were great! It was so nice to walk into a beautiful, clean, and hospitable space. They have this little book with ideas of things to do and places to eat which we really appreciated. We enjoyed every one of the places they suggested. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Had a wedding to attend in Hamtramck and booked Matthew and Meredith's place to save us an hour drive home after the reception. It was the perfect location for us, within 3 blocks of the venue. The place was neat, tidy, and just as described in the listing. Would have been very comfortable had we needed to stay more nights. Highly recommend!

OMG, we loved our stay at the Duck n Roll Inn! The ducks were charming, Meg the dog was adorable, and the house was so cool. The disco room was comfy and unique and the bathroom was a slice of spa heaven. As in other reviews, the neighborhood does have some blight, but we never felt unsafe. Suzanne was available via text and gave us some good suggestions for stuff to do in the area. If you stay here, I recommend eating breakfast at the Jagged Fork, its close and SUPER good!

Suzanne's duck farm was both an awesome experience and a really awesome spot. Right out of Detroit proper, it was a short drive from our show at the opera house. Easy instructions to follow, and loved meeting Both Suzanne and her dog Meg. We enjoyed the wood burning stove a lot, the place was clean and cozy and fun. Wish we interacted with the little ducks more, but it was cool to hear them and know they were there. Would absolutely stay again. Thank you suzanne! Also, we both got a shirt, i was excited that was an option!

Despite not making it to the Duck 'N' Roll Inn due to a last minute change of NYE plans, my interaction with Suzanne was nothing short of wonderful. She was very welcoming and provided check-in information well in advance of my planned stay. Her home sounds charming and I hope to make it there on my next trip to Detroit.

I stayed at Suzanne's for a peaceful few days with my mother and sister. Our visit was wonderful and the accommodations were even better than the pictures revealed--spacious rooms, comfy beds, a fantastic shower, and entertaining animals. Susanne was the perfect host and I'd love to book her place again for another return visit to my hometown.

The place was just what we needed. My dad and two brothers crashed here for the night before going to a Lions game. The instructions from the host were easy to follow and accurate. The house is quirky but nice. The bathroom was especially nice - roomy, great water pressure, and nice design. We didn't do any cooking but the coffee maker worked like a charm. The immediate neighborhood is a little rough (in that block), but we felt very safe and loved how many local restaurants and bars were within a 5 minute drive or so. We would definitely stay here again and would like to explore more of Grosse Point (sp).

I am a Detroit native who now lives on the west coast. When searching for a place to stay I came across this one. It was the perfect fit for my friends and I. Both of my friends had never been to Detroit so I was looking for something spacious, safe, clean, and central. I could not have picked a better spot. The pictures do not do the place justice. It is quiet, charming, and affordable. I would stay here again!!

Teena made access extremely easy and flexible. Very large space. Neighborhood seemed safe enough, without knowing much at all about Detroit. Having full access to the whole apartment was great.

Very roomy and comfortable urban resting place with retro cool funky decor. Two bedrooms and a study with a desk in addition to the main room/kitchen area. Defective heating and easy street parking right in front at least while we were there in January. Teena communicated smoothly.

Teenas home looks exactly like the photos. She was a fantastic host and great communicator. Her home was clean and comfortable, we felt very safe in her home. The location was great and we felt safe to walk around. Also a very easy uber ride to everywhere we wanted to go :) it was a fantastic first trip to Detroit and if I were to go back I would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay in Hamtramck!

The listing was exactly as expected and advertised. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and affordable. This was our first Airbnb experience and Teena helped us through the process. By text or email the hosts stayed in touch with us before the weekend and through the weekend to remind us that they were available if we should need them. Visiting our son in Hamtramck we learned it is a great city with lots of diversity. He, as well, was impressed with apartment and will certainly recommended to all his out of town visitors. Hopefully, it will be available next time we visit Hamtramck.

Alana and Justin are such great hosts! My brother and I needed a place to crash for our super short trip to Detroit and we were glad we stayed here. They have the sweetest puppy EVER! And Justin and Alana were so friendly and amazing. They even accommodated my early check-in since my flight was about 2 hours early. You guys should stay here!

Justin and Alana's beautiful home is a great place to stay in Detroit. It's a really nice neighborhood and easy to get around everywhere (with a car). They are great people to get to meet and talk to and have an adorable dog! I only wish our trip was longer to have had more time to spend with them.

It's pretty quiet, bring some headphones if you want to watch anything or else it feels kinda strange. Everything else was great and it's in a perfect location.

I stayed at Nathan's for 4 nights. It was definitely a nice experience. - The house is very clean and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Pretty close to shopping centers, supermarkets and malls. - The room is truly amazing. It gives you the feeling that you are at a hotel. It is equipped with a fridge, iron and ironing table and the bed is super comfortable with a desk that you can do your work on and a huge HD TV!! - Nathan is a great host, very accommodating and hospitable. He answered all my inquiries and addressed all my requests. - All in all, I highly recommend staying at Nathan's whenever you are passing through Michigan for business or pleasure. Thank you Nathan!

Sweet and simple as I can possibly be… A great host, absolutely clean, comfy room, comfy bed, and that was even bottled water and a couple of soda pops in the mini fridge in the room which I thought was a very thoughtful gesture. Nathan's house was truly great. Nathan really emphasizes privacy, so don't come here unless you have places to go during the day or are willing to work privately in your room. The bed is the most comfortable memory foam mattress ever.

Nathan's place is as advertised. Clean, quiet, roomy, and more private than a lot of shared set ups. Check-in was smooth, but he had a very narrow window for checking in, which may not be the case all the time. But that's me picking nits.... I definitely recommend this place.

Nathan was an excellent host. His home is in a great location in a very nice neighborhood central to many things in the metro-Detroit area. He paid attention to little details such as having snacks and some bottled water in the refrigerator. The bedroom door has an electronic lock on it and I had my own private bath to use, Nathan blended a balance of hospitality with privacy and I felt very comfortable sharing his home. I grew up in the area and was visiting for my parent's anniversary. This was a great alternative to a hotel/motel and I didn't need to burden my family with an additional house guest during the celebration.

Scott was so accommodating and responsive. When my boyfriend landed in Detroit, his hotel had given away his reservation and we couldn't find another hotel with availability in the area. Scott's place showed available but at 11pm, I thought it was a long shot. I booked it and called Scott. Although he wasn't home at the time, he worked it out so that my boyfriend could get in. He also followed up to ensure he had everything he needed for the night. Great host! I would definitely consider his place again if I need a place to stay in the area. The accommodation was as described.

Scott is a pretty chill guy with a nice place, in a very chill area, I pulled up at nite and there were several large deer in the middle of the street, I like his house,its very spacious!! I would gladly stay here again,altho I only stayed one nite, if I stayed again it would need to be the room with a regular bed, which was not available when I booked my stay, this is a great location for getting around,it is right next to the Tech Ctr, many places to eat and shop, easy highway access

We spent 6 weeks in Chery's wonderful condo. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We loved the layout. Cheryl was very responsive as a host and readily available if we needed her. The condo is very close to shopping, restaurants and other attractions. It was a great home away from home.

Cheryl's place was exactly what we were looking for on our business trip. It was a quick drive into the city. Had all the amenities. And was around the corner from a great resto/bar and a 24 hour Meijer. Plus, Cheryl was very responsive and even paid us a visit at our booth at the Auto Show!

My husband and I stayed at Cheryl's wonderful home for two weeks while he was working downtown. We loved the house and were extremely comfortable there. Cheryl is a phenomenal host. She has thought of everything and stocked the house with every amenity you could possibly need. The neighborhood is lovely, quiet, surrounded by trees, and very safe. This was the perfect place for our stay in the Detroit area.

Cheryl was so accommodating during our stay and so easy to communicate with! The house is bright and roomy and perfect for my new family :) It is located close to grocery stores, restaurants and Target/WalMart.

Cheryl answered my E-mails very quickly with good information on check in. She also provided hotel like amenities for the bathroom and a welcome basket in the kitchen (along with a Kurig which was very useful). It was a very nice added touch. I loved my stay! The house is spacious, open, light and airy. I loved the hardwood floors and flow of the house, as well as the decor and furniture. Everything was super super clean, and this was very important to me. Booking was simple and easy, straightforward; what a great experience as my first Airbnb booking. I appreciated how smoothly everything went, and all the little extra touches in the house that made it very convenient and feel like "home away from home." The location is great as well, easy access to Big Beaver Road and surrounding areas, as well as an easy shot to expressways like 696 and 94 - great to get to shopping and corporate areas. The house was exactly as pictured, and I couldn't be happier with my relaxing stay!
