Great budget option within 10-15 drive of cute towns and beach!

This place was just to be expected! David and Rhea were very easy to communicate with and very helpful. The studio is a cute little space for two or three people if i can pick a downside would probably be no closet to put away luggage for long trips other than that everything was perfect

David and Rhea were excellent hosts, from check-in to check-out. We arrived later than we expected and they were still available and gracious, making sure we had everything we needed. David had great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. He even brought us a little cooler full of crabs one day, which he had caught himself, with extra Old Bay and vinegar - a nice touch. The community beach was perfect for our family - don't forget your hang-tag! As a bonus, the hosts seem familiar and comfortable with other cultures (something you hope for but can't always expect). Overall, they made us feel right at home!

David was always available and responded to comments or concerns promptly. The room was small and rustic, but had everything I needed. The area had a lot to offer (parks, water park (cove point), and lots of scenic water places). There was a dog beach in the area and a nice community beach (David left a pass). He and his wife even invited me over for crabs he caught that morning. We had a wonder evening!

Loved this little apartment. It was a great little place to stay for two nights. Really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and community beach. David was quick to reply to any questions I had and was a great host. I liked biking around and finding little pathways to the beach. I enjoyed having my morning coffee in the backyard and at the beach. Very close to local attractions. I checked out Calvert Cliffs State park and found fossils, shark and stingray teeth!

This is a great place for a quick solo or perhaps couple's weekend getaway. It is tight for space and quite rustic, so I don't know if could be used for longer than that. It is in a very quiet neighbor and close to all that you need; state parks with beaches and hiking, the river and good restaurants. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive whenever I needed them.

David is a great host and location is very close to several beaches, restaurants and museums nearby (around 10-15 minute drive).

David's place is a cozy little studio tucked away in Solomon's Island - checking in we found a hotel-style "welcome book" that had instructions for settling in (wifi, trash, etc) and some information about the area that was super useful. Kitchen works great, TV has a Roku attached for netflix and other streaming content. Highly recommended for solo getaways, or if you're with a friend - as long as you're okay with cozying up on or sleeping in separate beds (it's a bunk bed, which I don't think the pictures quite convey).

The place is perfect for a single person who needs a nice place to stay. The host Mike and Gina make you feel right at home with their hospitality.

This efficiency is absolutely perfect for one person travelling for work or a short vacation. I stayed at Mike and Gina's place for 83 nights during the summer, and was quite happy with how they handled the home and Gina's responsiveness. The property is beautiful, it was extremely nice to come home after a long day in construction and be able to sit outside, watching the horses and the sun set over the fields. I would highly recommend this place for someone travelling for work!

Nice place. Lovely country area with chickens and horses for company. Not great for preparing your own meals but ok in all other respects. If you are 6 feet tall or over forget it.

I very much enjoyed my stay. Nice and quiet in the country, but minutes from everything in the way of restaurants and attractions. Gina was always helpful with any questions or needs and responded quickly and happily. A great place to stay.

Gina was a wonderful hostess! She accommodated me with short notice (24 hours), and was pretty communicative via text. The stairs leading into the apartment are steep, but solid. The bed comfortably fits one, two would be very tight. The location is awesome; there are major grocery stores and shopping 5 minutes down the road, and the house is surrounded by farms. Very peaceful. The quiet hours held true, which made for very restful nights. There is no "basement smell" thanks to a dehumidifier, which is really loud, but becomes white noise very quickly. The kitchen is a sink, mini-fridge (with water and snacks), and microwave.

This was our first Airbnb experience and we were not disappointed! Al was a great host. The accommodations were clean, peaceful and quiet. We were in the area for a wedding, and appreciated the laid back atmosphere once we returned from the reception. We ordered a pizza from the nearby shopping center and watched the hockey game on the big screen TV (Go Pens ). We would like to return because the area is great for hiking and recreation and would definitely book with this place again.

The place is as advertised. The place is clean and the bed is comfy. I would stay here again if I was in the area. There is also a chicken coop outside and the chickens roam free. That was probably my favorite part. The downsides are the wifi connection is not great and the chairs are very flimsy. I had no issue with the chairs, but if you need wifi, then you might run into problems.

Al's place had everything we needed to stay a night. It was clean and conveniently within driving distance to anything in the area. Check in and communication was just a message away. I would stay here again.

Rahul was an excellent host with a beautiful apartment! Definitely consider his apartment for a trip to Lexington Park.

I just needed a place to crash for a night and his place fit the bill; I can't say the apartment itself really stood out in any way but that didn't matter to me. More importantly Rahul is a really nice guy and he's quick to respond to questions. Good experience overall, I'd stay there again.

Rahul's spot is perfect for a business traveler; all of the basic necessities are present. Spacious room with a high ceiling; queen-sized bed; internet; clean bathroom just next to the room. Living room with netflix; modern kitchen. Rahul is a great guy; we went out to the Ale House, had some appetizers and beer, watched DC United on the screen there. Fun hanging out. Watched Netflix - Ozark back at his place. He later visited me at the Home Expo I was working at, at the Solar Power booth. All around, quality stay at a great value. Recommended.

Rahul was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived. His home is very clean and it's in a good location, close to the local sights. The bedroom was a nice size with a huge closet and the bathroom was also big and he had towels for me. Heads up for anyone like me with T-Mobile service: I got no phone service in Rahul's home or the neighborhood. The wifi was great so I was able to communicate with people otherwise, but it's something to keep in mind.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Brandon and Beth's apartment. The space was very clean and well appointed. Brandon was there to greet us upon our arrival late Friday night. He was very gracious to help bring in our bags and set up the pull out couch for our children. Although we did not opt for breakfast, there were bagels in the fridge and an assortment of cereal and oatmeal options. The keurig and assortment of coffees and creamers were a nice perk. Brandon was helpful in reminding us of the guide provided on the table with local restaurant and travel information; as well as always being available should we need anything upon our return. We will certainly stay again when we return to the area!

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights at Beth and Brandon's. We found their apartment clean and cozy. Beth was there to greet us when we arrived and Brandon stopped in the next day to ask if we needed anything. My daughter especially enjoyed the snacks and breakfast items provided. I especially enjoyed the quiet. A perfect place for us and we plan to be return guests in the future.

Beth and Brandon's place was wonderful! The apartment was beautifully decorated, very clean and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. Our favorite part was the breakfast in the morning. We got a chance to meet both Brandon and Beth at different points during our stay and they were both very friendly and helpful.

This was the best stay away from I've ever experienced. Olive really does a great job of making one feel welcomed. I was happy that I chose to stay with her instead of a hotel room. This is an entire apartment. The place is quiet, comfortable, with private entrance and an HDTV with cable. Five star accommodations all around. I would highly recommend.

Amazing water views! We stayed the night after our wedding. It was the perfect way to relax after a long day. We relaxed with a cup of coffee right on the water. Only wish we had more time to enjoy the cottage. Highly recommend staying here!

What a great place. Lovely house right on the water and surrounded by beautiful weeping willows. It was perfect for our family of four and Tom and Julie were excellent communicators and make sure we had everything we needed for our long weekend getaway. We will definitely be looking for another opportunity to rent from Tom and Julie.

We loved staying at the cottage! Beautiful view of the water from both inside and outside of the house. I found myself relaxing the day away outside in the rocking chair or laying under the tree. An absolutely beautiful location! Just the getaway we needed. Was so nice to spend our Fourth of July kayaking in the river, floating in the bay, reading on the loungers in the sun, and enjoying a great campfire in the evening. The studio is just the right place for a technology free, romantic weekend getaway.

Fishing Creek is a wonderful place to get away and relax. It's a small community and the people are very hospitable. Great for bike riding, kayaking, walking and just enjoying the sunset over the Chesapeake Bay in the back yard of Deborah's studio apartment. Deborah was great to work with. She is very detailed oriented and responsive.

Her texts to welcome us in before hand were very helpful. The neighborhood was just as we expected. Quaint and out of the way which is a joy to find during tourist season. The place itself, while attractive, needed some repairs that should have been take care of. Our host was always very responsive to all our inquires and texts. Friendly and personable in all ways.

This is my first time using AirBnB and I'm very happy with the whole process and especially the lodging!! I live in a NYC and getting away to this lovely studio was exactly what the Doc ordered!! Very quiet and serene, Definitely planning on booking again!!

When we first arrived, the immediate area was under a tornado warning. Our GPS didn't take us directly to the spot and we passed by and had to turn around. Unfortunately the circular driveway was easiest to enter from only one direction which was not the direction in which we were headed after our U-turn. Even though the weather was horrible and we had difficulty parking, Terry greeted us warmly and rushed us into the house to a safe area. She monitored the weather until it was safe for us to return to our car and unload. The weather cleared and was wonderful for the remainder of our visit. Our room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious. Terry gave us the name of a wonderful restaurant that is close-by. It had the best crab cakes we've had. While staying with Terry, we enjoyed fossil hunting, wildlife photography, hiking local trails, and kayaking on the Patuxent River. It was a much needed, relaxing get-away.

Wow what an opportunity to visit such an awesome place! First off her house is so secluded and the perfect place for a way to get away from the city. Second, she is close to Jerry's Seafood, it is must place to eat. Jerry and his family are so friendly. Lastly, the food and fossils were perfect; Terry is so knowledgeable, we will be back!

The neighborhood was great with lots of wildlife and short driving distance (30min-1hr) to plenty of cute art galleries, historical sites, beaches, and small town centers. Terry is a great cook and very knowledgeable about the area and helpful finding lots of fossil's on the beach. Just make sure that you to the water when its low tide!

Wonderful weekend getaway! My girlfriend and I enjoyed a romantic retreat to a private beach illuminated by firelight-- under a blanket of stars. Terry is a welcoming host and an exceptional cook with an abundance of nautical knowledge. I'm looking forward to our next stay.

Everything was great with Terry. Lovely home and food and person. We thought we would have closer access to the beach and would be able to take advantage the next morning, but it was $20 an hour extra if we wanted to swim after 11am at the beach down the road. The house is also advertised under "entire home" but it is just a bedroom in her house. We had a good experience even though we expected something else. She was a great hostess and a very kind person.

Terry was a great host! Although we could only stay for one night, she made us feel very welcome. When we arrived she gave us a tour of her lovely home, then a very thorough explanation of how to get to the beach. It's so close by, and it was a gorgeous weekend. My boyfriend asked if the beach was safe and Terry said totally, so we were a little surprised to see jellyfish! It turns out they weren't dangerous, but there were a lot so it would have been best to know that when we set off. That night, she offered us wine (but luckily we didn't drink the entire thing, as we found out the next day that would have been an extra charge) and we had a fun time chatting on her deck (she even lit candles for us!) and playing with her grandchildren, two adorable young boys. The next morning she made us a massive, delicious breakfast and even packed some warm banana muffins for us to take on the road. She also directed us to Len's Marina to go kayaking, where we had a complete blast. It's an excellent place to stay, especially if you can spend more than one night! And this is completely separate from our actual experience, but Airbnb should change this listing from "entire home." That confused me at first!

Peter and Penny are so welcoming! The apartment has everything you need and then some, and if you can't find what you need, they are happy to provide. It was treat to not only have the bay, but kayaks, pool and hot tub as well. Plus, I love that we got to hang out with their sweet dog. All of the recommendations for places to eat off the island were fantastic. If you are a scenic, relaxing and homey escape for a weekend, this is the place.

Peter was extremely accommodating. He was responsive and helpful in letting us arrive and depart at times that worked for us (and even let us enjoy ample extra time before leaving)! We loved our quiet stay and the beautiful view of the water. Our dog got along great with his lab and got to roam the property freely. We will be back.

We had the best girls getaway weekend here - so thankful I got to stay at Peter's Taylor's Island apartment. We loved shell-hunting at the beach and crabbing for the first time off the dock, all on location! With the supplies there and the host's advice, we easily managed a good catch. Peter and Penny were wonderful hosts, even sharing a meal with us both nights there.

Fabulous location, wonderful hosts! Everything is provided (gas grill, kayaks, internet, cable tv, full kitchen) in a well furnished, private addition to the main house with a gorgeous water view. While easily accessible by car on paved roads, it feels sumptuously remote. Private wave-washed beachhead, lots of quiet roads to walk, very dog friendly. Cambridge is close enough to be convenient for food and restaurants but far enough away to feel like you're off the beaten track. Pete and Penny are very warm, gregarious, knowledgeable and helpful. This is one of those undiscovered gems that distinguishes personal lodgings with character from a generic hotel experience.

While the apartment my husband and I stayed in this weekend was clean, well furnished and well stocked, the same cannot be said about the property. Yes, there is construction going on around the house, which is great, but this makes the listing write up misleading. It states it doesn't interfere with your stay, it does. The views are in fact obstructed by equipment and trash unfortunately. There is also litter strewn around the yard. The construction equipment on the stairs to the apartment is obscured by poor lighting, so be careful when walking up or downstairs after hours. We had a loud wake up call Saturday morning, around 6am, with the garage door opening and closing. The only view worth looking at was the one from the main window. Otherwise, the area is very secluded which my husband and I enjoyed exploring over the weekend.

This was a nice quiet out of the way place. Peter and Penny were gracious hosts. Peter reached out to us before to let us know of local amenities and they were quick to respond when we had questions. It is a lovely area with loads to do within a short drive. The weather wasn't great but we did get a great view of the lunar eclipse!

The location of the apartment was great! You almost had a view of the bay from every window in the house. We were staying there for Eagleman (06/12/16) and we got to do a practice swim (we felt we had our own little beach) and kayak a little. Peter was accommodating and let us use his kayaks. The place was very clean and the utilities worked excellent. I don't even think I have that much water pressure in my house so taking a shower was amazing. Peter was very attentive and answered all of our questions, we really liked staying here. We would definitely be back if we do another race in Cambridge. One thing I love the most that was not included in the apartment description - Playing with two wonderful dogs - Peter's dogs were extremely friendly. We love dogs!

Apartment was exactly as described. Very quite settings. Barbara was very easily reachable and very responsive to questions. I had to work night shift for work. The settings and location made it perfect to sleep on that kind of schedule. There were plenty of grocery stores, department stores, and restaurants within 1-2 miles of the apartment.

I was here to work at the natural gas facility located in Lusby. Less than 10 minutes away are two grocery stores, a farmers market, banking, restaurants and stores such as T.J.Maxx, Walmart, and Family Dollar. For those on holiday, the home is not far from Chesapeake Bay, the water park and the antique mall. The apartment is spacious, has its own entrance, and there is a pool out back surrounded by beautiful shrubbery and trees. I would sit pool side just to relax and enjoy my surroundings especially since I worked 12 hour days. There is also separate parking which is a godson since my working schedule was different from the host's schedule. Rather it's work or play this place is great. Would definitely book again.

Harry and Glenna are gracious hosts. I felt like I knew what restaurants were available prior to arriving thanks to Harry's descriptions (they are spot on). The area is quiet and relaxing. I spent most of my time the night before Eagleman relaxing on the deck, watching the water and the hummingbirds. The apartment was clean and just the right size for my sister and me. I was able to make my pre-race meal in the kitchen. Many thanks to Harry for great conversation and a wonderful boat ride. Hope to see you in June next year!

Harry and his wife were so kind and welcoming this past weekend when my coworker and I came to represent our charity at the IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman race. They were so welcoming, greeting us with homemade bread, and generously offered a ride on their boat. The apartment is comfortable and very clean, with a gorgeous patio overlooking a lake. Communication was superb, and Harry also recommended some great restaurants in Cambridge, which we didn't disappoint. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Harry and Glena were exceptionally gracious hosts! From the warm welcome, the fresh baked bread, and all the amenities the stay was great. Ever attentive, the Heckathorn's provided all information about the local area to include weather and water forecasts. This information was invaluable in preparation for Ironman Maryland. If you are going to Cambridge for a stay, this is the place you want to go!

This was a perfect stay. The apartment was clean, just as the pictures showed, and was surrounded by beautiful nature. Harry was such a kind host as well and baked homemade bread for arrival! Would definitely recommend staying here.

John's place really exceeded our expectations! The apartment is spacious and clean with lots of kitchen amenities. Also the location is great for St. Micheal, Cambridge, and the rest of the Eastern Shore. All in all, amazing stay for cheap!

Very nice place, clean, organized and quiet. We spent a lot of time in Ocean City and the ride was very relaxing to and from the apartment. I definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again.

John's place is quite a random apartment above a restaurant, extremely simple and lacks personality or charm. We found it to be incredibly overpriced and were off-put when we arrived based off of the extremely high price-point. There is no outdoor seating area and any view of water (or sunset) is only accessible by car or bike. John is great, very easy to be in touch with and responsive. The apartment, while simple, would be considered comfortable and very clean. It has a full kitchen which was much appreciated.

John's place was very clean and cozy. We stayed here but spent much of our time in Ocean City, which was a little over an hour away but wasn't too bad of a drive at all. Home felt safe and was easy to get to.

Stayed for the access to the Blackwater Nature Wildlife Refuge. This spot was perfect for that.
