Victoria Drummond Tower was built as a Folly Tower in the victorian period in 1858 by Victor Drummond Delap as part of Monasterboice House & Demesne. The tower is regarded as a folly tower built in remembrance of his late mother Victoria Drummond Delap. Recently restored into a small habitable dwelling and is now available for rental for selected months of the year. A very unique and enjoyable place to stay with a vast range of local & historical amenities at your disposal.
Drummond Tower comprises of 4no. floors including a top roof level which guests can enjoy extensive views of the surrounding countryside. The ground floor comprises of a kitchen area with cooking and washing facilities. On the first floor there is a comfortable living room with adequate space to relax and watch TV or read books form the extensive book collection. There are 2no. couches with 1no. being a comfortable double sofa bed. The second floor bedroom is the last of the internal floors which comprises of a queen sized bed with en-suite, shower and washing facilities. One of the great advantages is waking up in the mornings and looking out over the tree tops and the immediate countryside. The top floor level is the external castellated roof terrace. There is 360 degree views of the area and space to enjoy the fine weather. The roof terrace is illuminated so one can access the area during at night to look at the stars
Drummond Tower is situated in the countryside on the Boyne Valley Drive - R168. 5 mins from Monasterboice Round Tower & Melifont Abbey. Newgrange, Dowth, Oldbridge (Battle of the Boyne) and Slane / Collon Village is within 15mins drive. Drogheda is located nearby with shopping, Restaurants and Bars. We would recommend Monasterboice Inn (5 mins drive) with selection of fine food & beverages. Also check out "No. Three" in the local Village of Collon which would be approx 3 miles or visit the lovely village of Slane and have a pint on Boyles Pub
  • Don't book this place. I want to make sure there are no conflicts with my future stays. This was the definition of a dream stay for us. Absolutely everything we wanted in a country castle tower. We will be back as soon as we can!

  • This was a great place to stay to start off our trip! It was remote and quiet, but could drive to nearby restaurants. Would recommend this place to anyone! Hope to return someday!

  • We greatly enjoyed our stay at Drummond Tower. It’s a unique place that is very clean. We used it as our base for exploring the many historic places in the area. Many sites and several towns are within an easy 20 minute drive. I highly recommend staying at Drummond Tower as the price is untreatable for what you get.

    Jeremy2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don't do this location justice. Eanan was quick to respond to my messages, and the directions for how to find and access the tower were very clear. Everything was clean and orderly, and waking up early to watch the sunrise over the surrounding area on the very top floor was magical. I would definitely recommend this place to stay if you are planning to be in Ireland!

A Romantic Retreat -Tastefully converted stone barn with views of 13th C. Abbey ruins & mature garden. Ideal location for touring east coast and Dublin (Airport 30min). Mezzanine bedroom overlooking the open plan living area & wood burning stove.
This barn was converted by the owner in 2008 into a comfortable and inviting open plan living area & kitchen with a mezzanine double bedroom. Exposed stone walls and oak beams are complemented by luxurious furnishings and a cosy wood burning stove. The kitchen / dining area is equipped with gas hob, 3 in 1 Microwave / grill / convection oven, fridge with ice box and is sufficiently well-equipped to please the keen cook. There is a wet room-style shower room and wc. The living area is snug and cosy with a comfortable couch, wood burning stove and an array of interesting and unusual books on the history, flora and fauna of Ireland. A small staircase leads up to the mezzanine bedroom with comfy double bed, clothes storage and excellent views across the garden and countryside beyond. This is a really romantic location - so much so that we have had more than ten honeymooning couples stay here and even two proposals (successful ones!) The accommodation is suitable for up to two adults. Babies are welcome but please note that the barn is not suitable for toddlers or small children due to the steep staircase and wood burning stove. We have been welcoming guests since 2008.
Ardcath is a tiny, quiet village in County Meath, near the border to County Dublin. The village pub is a three minute walk away and is full of character. It hosts an informal traditional Irish music session every Thursday night and guests are welcome, even encouraged, to play or sing. The musicians will even provide you with a musical instrument! Convenience stores are a 5 minute drive. A selection of restaurants in nearby villages - Kilmoon (4 miles), Stamullen (5 miles), Duleek (4 miles) - and in the local large town of Drogheda (10 miles) provide a wide range of menus to suit all tastes. This is an excellent location for touring both Dublin city (50mins drive) and the east coast. The Boyne Valley, Newgrange heritage site and the Hill of Tara are within 20mins drive, as are the beaches of Bettystown and Gormanston. Enjoy any one of a dozen excellent golf courses within 20 miles, as well as horse racing at nearby Bellewstown, Fairyhouse or on the strand at Laytown. Our guests have enjoyed day trips to Wicklow (the Garden of Ireland), the Giants Causeway in Co. Antrim, Carlingford in Co. Louth. Check out hill walking in the Cooley Mountains and exploring the castle ruins in the heritage town of Trim, among many others. Excellent restaurants, cafes and shopping are available in medieval Drogheda, modern Ashbourne, Skerries and Bettystown which are all a 20 min car journey.
  • If you're looking for a unique and cozy spot in the countryside of Ireland, book this cottage now. It's about a half-hour outside of Dublin and was close to the train station. The cottage was adorable and had everything from a sewing kit to extra USB outlet adapters to slippers. We visited Ireland in the colder months, but the woodburning heater and extra space heater kept us very warm. Colm was a fantastic host and even had the fire going when we arrived at the cottage. Bennets Bar was right across the street and everyone there was just as gracious as Colm. If I ever visit Ireland again, I would definitely stay at Colm's place.

    Natalie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly unique location. It is very much in Ireland’s countryside which gives a great feeling. The cottage itself was very well kept and well stocked with everything you’ll need for a stay. If staying in the colder months do be prepared to lite the fire to warm the place up when you return to the cottage. There is really no other heat source. Again, this is something I felt very unique. The Ireland countryside roads can be a challenge if you come from North America. Just be prepared before you rent a car and take to the roads. Being in the countryside you will need to travel down some dark, small winding roads! I would highly recommend for a couple looking for a more romantic and quiet getaway!

    Shane2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Colm is a gentleman. He has created a very unique oasis in this cosy cottage, with everything you could possibly need. We spent 4 chilled out days here and explored the surrounding countryside including newgrange. We'd highly recommend for a romantic getaway!

    Dorothy2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I just checked out of Colm’s place today, and we’re sad to go! The pace itself is unbelievably charming, with everything you need. The bed is comfortable and the water is always hot! (Helpful when you’re a Floridian and visiting this time of year) It is close enough to drive into the city center, but also get a feel for the Irish countryside. The cottage itself is about a 30 second walk to a pub, what’s better than that! The pub has great Guinness and a lot of welcoming faces. Our absolute favorite part of our stay was Colm himself. He welcomed us with great hospitality. We learned a lot from him during our stay and even shared a few pints! I would recommend this Airbnb to everyone coming to the area. Dublin curry is great, but this is Ireland! We hope to return in the future!

  • Stop searching, this is the cutest Airbnb in the world. Loved every minute of our stay over Christmas. The perfect hideaway from the world!

    Caitlin2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Crows’ Hermitage was fantastic! Colm was very friendly and always quick to help. Trad night at Bennett’s pub was a great time and a fun surprise when Colm joined in! Ardcath is a perfect home base for exploring many cultural sites of Ireland, including many castles! Though the kitchen is small, the basics are covered. We whole heartedly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a unique Ireland experience!

    Sean2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, remote but with the added bonus of a pub a stones throw away. Sunday was a proper treat at the pub with a folk ‘jam night’. Loved the log burner, such a quirky place.

    Lisa2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Colm is an amazing host, so friendly and warm. He even joined us for a beer at the pub across the street. Lovely visit.

  • location was perfect as we were a group attending a wedding in Slane castle. The bathroom and shower was modern with lots of hot water. The rest of the accomodation was shabby chic but clean and warm. We really didn't get much use of the place as we were out of the accomodation for most of our stay.

Mount Hanover, built in 1690, is a unique period country house nestled in the heart of the Boyne Valley, close to Dublin city and airport. It is the perfect base from which to explore Ireland’s Ancient East and historic sites such as Newgrange and also Dublin city. Built over four storeys, Mount Hanover is an imposing place, surrounded by formal gardens, woodlands, stables, 100 acres of farmland and a walled garden.
Mount Hanover commenced construction in 1690, the year of the Battle of the Boyne. The stables sheltered the horses of King James and romantic local legend has it that King James’s forces held out against those of William of Orange at Mount Hanover. It is said that the Bellew family, who first owned Mount Hanover, forfeited the property as a punishment for their support of the Catholic king, who lost the battle. Legend also has it that the Great Emancipator, Daniel O’Connell spent a night in Mount Hanover in 1842 en route to the famous public rally on the Hill of Tara and that he took Mass here – it’s possible as the oratory is consecrated, with a fabulous original stained glass window. The house was owned by the Matthews family for over five generations until 1985. The current owners bought it in 2015 and have carried out extensive refurbishment of the house, which boasts 7 large predominantly super-king size bedrooms. While retaining its period features, including cornicing dating to 1760, the house is also fully modernised with all mod cons, including central heating, WIFI, SKY ,Netflix etc. Dinner can be arranged for guests in the dining room which seats twelve, with a large open log fire. The sitting room also has a large open fire and is cosy but spacious at the same time. For entertainment, the house has its own indoor swimming pool, changing rooms and sauna, games room with dart board, table tennis and modern gaming consoles. Croquet can be enjoyed on the lawn where one can enjoy the pastime of kings. There is a patio area to the side of the house, perfect for relaxing during summer days with a cocktail or for having a BBQ. Or we have new all weather floodlit tennis court with a tennis pavilion. The tennis pavilion has a barbecue (gas and wood)pizza oven, smoker and sink. There is a conservatory which captures the sun from morning to dusk and is a tranquil place to read or enjoy afternoon tea. The mature gardens have been well tended and over 200 young trees have been planted in 2016. A number of protected species of birds and mammals live in the gardens and the River Nanny flows through the farm, to the River Nanny Estuary and Shore SPA Natura 2000 site a few kilometres away. There is a walk way through the gardens and woodland, which is perfect for bird watchers and those interested in getting back to nature. Both inside and outside, the house exudes atmosphere and a country house charm. It is an ideal vacation setting for family and friends.
  • Had a great weekend at Mount Hanover. Swimming pool was amazing.

  • Angus's place is fantastic fun! Between the pool, sauna, tennis courts, pool table, table tennis and cinema room there was always something do! We had the most fantastic stay. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. Aungus was a fantastic host, check in and check out were extremely smooth on his end and he was extremely patient with us when we had an issue. Cannot fault this place! Thank you to Angus and his family.

    Hannah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our family weekend at Mount Hanover House. An excellent place, really comfortable and homely house, easy to live in and an excellent experience all round. We would recommend it without hesitation.

  • A wonderful house. Perfect for our family get together. We are already planning our next trip!

  • Mount Hanover was a great place for our celebration of my wife's 60th birthday. The amenities were great; kitchen with Aga stove!! We had our dinner celebrations in the amazing dining room with a roaring fire. Tim and Nicholas prepared an amazing meal the first and third nights we were there. Tim was very welcoming and gave us all a bit of history about the place, which was very interesting. Everyone did day trips from here, including Bettystown, Dublin, and Carlingford. Good shopping in Drogheda which is close by. Walks on the property itself are great as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special celebration venue. Thanks Angus!

  • This house is amazing! It was the perfect place to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday with my family. The house was very clean and the pictures shown on Airbnb are accurate. Highly recommended!

  • 17 of us stayed in Mount Hanover last weekend for a very special fiftieth wedding anniversary family celebration. From start to finish we felt as if we were in our own home. The beds are really comfy, the space is fantastic. Chef Tim was brilliant. The food was delicious and the finishing touches to the room - candies etc made the evenings extra special. Some of us thought we were staying in Downton Abbey!. The pool too is a great attraction and got plenty of use. Highly recommend for a family celebration!

    Mags2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mount Hanover was a fantastic venue for our family gathering of 19. The house was spacious, with a great spread of individual rooms and rooms for gathering. The pool and tennis court were used extensively by us all. The chef Tim, was wonderful to have on site, he looked after us all so well and made us feel at home, while also catering to all our asks. I highly recommend this house and if you are looking for a chef, we highly recommend Tim.

  • The Barn was the perfect setting before our wedding. We had a wonderful relaxing few days in the most stunning setting. All of the little touches make the beautiful property even more stunning. Karla is the most unreal host and is super helpful from start to finish. She has some wonderful local recommendations that I would definitely suggest should be experienced. We hope to return here time and time again. What a hidden gem!

    Claire2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Where to start... the place (a renovated barn) is just absolutely amazing. Super stylish, immaculately clean and with everything you might need and can imagine. Thoughtful amenities, cool design, cozy comfort. This is a place you’ll absolutely love staying. Located in a charming little corner of Duleek, location was perfect. Parking is easy, locals are so nice, and the town is just the sweetest location. Karla is a great host. Communication with her was spot on, always prompt and easy. Check-in couldn’t be easier, with all the instructions clearly explained to you for a smooth self check-in. What an exceptional experience. Surely we will come back to the Barn in the future. Thank you Karla! Absolutely recommended!

    Irina2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Barn. We had quite a bit of siteseeing to do but ended up spending a good amount of time indoors because of how comfortable it made us feel. The place is well equipped, calm, and spacious enough. You'll get to appreciate it even more once you see the transformation it went through to get to what it is today (you can see that in the black book on the shelf by the radio). All this to say, amazing stay and highly recommended.

    Lucy2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Karla's cottage was absolutely fantastic. The house was immaculate, warm and cosy with a fully kitted out kitchen. Karla was quick to respond and has created a beautiful space in a modern country style. The house is very homley with some lovely touches to really tell you the story of this wonderful old building. A welcome basket with local treats and milk for a cuppa awaited our arrival. I heartily recommend both Karla and O' connells house and barn.

    Catherine2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We are really impressed by the barn. It is a beautiful, very clean and welcoming house. The descriptions and suggestions from Karla were great. We had no problems to find the barn or anything we needed. Duleek is a nice small town and a good starting point for trip to sights around.

  • Beautiful and well looked after property.

    Allen-Taylor2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and comfortable. A really well stocked and stylish space. 15 minutes from Tayto Park. A great little spot for a small family or couple. Karla had a very comfortable bed made up for our little boy and he was delighted that she had left out toy cars and blocks for him. We would definitely book again if visiting the area.

    Emma2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay! Karla is an exceptional and very helpful host. The place itself is beautiful, very stylish and very comfortable. We had everything we could possibly need. There were lots of thoughtful touches and useful info about what was nearby too. I really can’t fault it!

  • Adventuring to Ireland for the first time ever, all the way from Texas, U.S, was quite an experience and it was all made possible with the assistance from this host (Peter)! He showed us exceptional hospitality, friendliness while remaining genuine, local tips and advice on where to travel, a lovely air bnb, and so much more. My significant other and I adjusted right away to the “tiny home” vibe and it was perfect for us. We are from the big city within Texas but we have small town roots and this location and scenery was just what we needed to get away. The level of comfort and ease that we felt was present every day that we stayed at our temporary home in Ireland! The finishing touches on the air bnb were pleasant, such as hot water being hot/cold water being cold, beautiful decor, great appliances + light fixtures, and ease of access to location + feeling secure/safe throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this host to anyone who is itching to get away and escape to a secluded, gorgeous, and humble destination. The location is about 30 minutes N. from the Dublin airport, and while having the effect of “off the beaten path”, this air bnb is not far from any pubs, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and attractions. Not once did we feel out of place and we hope to return and experience Ireland all over again :-)

  • Peter’s place is great! Has a nice little patio and everything. Absolutely loved it

    Sergio2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s place was fantastic. It was very easy to find and check in was very smooth. Peter was available if we needed him but also left us do our own thing. The accommodation is very clean and furnished very nicely. Peter lit the stove before our arrival which meant the container was lovely and warm for our stay. We would certainly stay again if we had the opportunity.

Beautiful lush green landscapes that drop dramatically down to the river. This is ancient Ireland at its best. Slane is a well-known village in Ireland. Thanks to the rock concerts at Slane Castle and now the new whiskey distillery, Slane now has a vibrant food and music culture with restaurants, cafes and bistros as well as great live music pubs. Be sure to book in on a Wednesday night to see the Wednesday Gang open session in Boyle's of Slane and don't forget to book a tour around the new Slane Distillery. We are also only 6km from the UNESCO World Heritage megalithics tombs at Bru Na Boinne (Newgrange) and only 8km from the Battle of the Boyne centre. We also offer kayaking, recreational tree climbing and bike hire to keep you busy while you're here.
  • Just want to echo what all the other reviewers are saying, this place is really awesome. If you do stay here, definitely check out the communal area (kitchen, dining, lounge). It's a really nice place to chill out. Loved meeting all the farm animals too.

  • Had a pleasant week long stay here with a baby and dog. The Swallow's Nest was very spacious, with room to spare even with a travel cot and large crate. Directions and self check-in was very straightforward. We had fresh eggs from the farm in the morning - very tasty - and met the Dexters and pigs on our walk around. Good information available for things to do in the area although I was mostly visiting family anyway. Would stay again!

  • We had a pleasant stay. The farm is located in a very beautiful valley. The farm offers a lot of equipment to choose from. Regarding our room the decoration is really charming, the bed is very good, so much so that you forget to get up. The products from the farm are exquisite. The team is on top, very responsive. Thank you everyone. There are plenty of unusual places to discover in this valley. We will gladly come back.

The yurt includes large wood-fired stove, electric heater, reading lamp with wireless charger, additional furnishings, lanterns, fairy lights, crisp white linen, bath towels and Hand Made Soap Company toiletries. Enjoy breakfast on the veranda or just watch the sunset behind the castle as you plan your next day of adventures. There's a BBQ, wood-fired hot tub, clay pizza oven and self-catering organic food packs with ingredients from the farm.
We're on the Slane Castle estate close to the historic village of Slane and Bru Na Boinne (UNESCO ). There are great views across the River Boyne and the surrounding country. We have great family-friendly activities and good dining options on and off the farm. You’ll love my place because of the location, facilities, space & views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (+ kids).

  • Jolanta was a delightful host. Her place was warm, welcoming, quiet and spotless. and just up the road from a lively pub restaurant with good food and atmosphere. She was there when we arrived and check in was easy. We all had a very nice chat and then we headed out to meet family in the city. Before our stay we had a small problem with our trip and Jolanta was able to find a very easy solution and went out of her way to help us sort it out. • Great wee spot! Possibly could do with somewhere with a kitchen sink and proper oven if you intended to cook there. However for what we needed it was great. Clean and comfortable with some food left to make breakfast! What more could you ask for? Una is next door if you need her and they have ample parking as well - we had three cars and it was fine! If we’re in the area again I would have no hesitation booking in here! Thanks Una!

  • This is a hidden gem! Truly a fantastic experience staying here. It's located in the most peaceful place very close to Slane Castle; you felt like you were part of nature. The yurt was perfect for three people, the wood burning stove heated up the yurt and created a cozy atmosphere. I would have loved to stay for longer!! Fantastic communication and very good instructions about the area . Great communal space with kitchen, shower etc. 5 stars!

  • They took care of me with a later daft check-in and went out of their way to get me a iron and board. good local tips too. Pizza was tasty. Castle view from Yurt was surreal. Grass was cut short so you didn't feel like you were in a field. Thought we may have to walk/wheelbarrow farther but not the case. Would return.

Nice location, very quiet and yet very close to some really nice attractions such as newgrange, mellifont Abbey, and others which I didn't get to. Very close to Drogheda town and yet it feels like you're in rural Ireland. The suite itself was very nicely laid out and spotlessly clean. There's also lots of books and a lovely couch to relax on. Would recommend to anyone travelling to this area. 10/10

It is spotless and has a super comfy bed for a restful night's sleep. We visited for a wedding and Fiona could not have been more helpful in making sure we enjoyed our stay with local recommendations of places to visit and to eat. I would not hesitate in recommending Fiona's place.

  • Wow! Fiona sets the highest standard that other hosts should endeavor to meet. My 19 year old daughter traveled alone to Ireland for an equestrian competition and stayed at Fiona’s adorable cottage for the weekend. Fiona went above and beyond as her host...offering her rides to the barn when she was unable to secure early morning taxis and bringing her homemade soup on her arrival on a chilly day. Perfect accommodation and unsurpassed hospitality and kindness. Thank you, Fiona, for everything!

We are ideally located being in the heart of the Boyne Valley which offers lots of adventure activities, garden walks, original hand crafts on your door step, gentle pathways to explore plus festivals and events . Discover the Boyne Valley holiday guide available
  • This is a must stop on your road trip around Ireland. Alison is a fantastic host, super communication, and so knowledgeable about the area being a 5th generation family. You stay in the grainery off the farmhouse. The stone walls give you the ancient Ireland feel. The place is very spacious for a one-bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking needs. Refrigerator even has a freezer for ice. There is a washer/dryer along with a table to eat at. Alison gives your fresh homemade bread, butter and delicious jam to enjoy. The living area with high back chairs face the window, which gives you a view of the river Boyne and Bru an Boinne. You may also get to see some cows and sheep out back as well. The bathroom has instant hot water with great water pressure. The bedroom is a nice size. This is the first place that we were nice and toasty inside with ceiling heating panels and instant heat. The icing on the cake is an amazing gift shop next store. The prices are great and gifts are beautiful. Many items are made by Alison. The sheep wool rugs are a must have. We stocked up for everyone. Lastly, it just happens to be that lambs were being born, so we got to feed a 6 day old, was amazing. The area is great with so much to see. Would highly recommend. We will definitely stay there next time in Ireland.

  • Cosy little bnb attached to the main house. Alison is very friendly and helpful. We loved the design of the bnb and the modern heating. You can see newgrange from the kitchen window

    Louise2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Location of the farm was outstanding, within a 5 minute walk to newgrange with stunning scenic views surrounding us. Newgrange was visible from the kitchen window which was lovely to wake up to. The hosts were extremely welcoming, leaving us homemade bread and condiments upon arrival, alongside allowing us to feed and pet multiple baby lambs. They also were on hand for any issue or inquiry we had. Despite being on a farm the area was surprisingly quiet and we had zero trouble sleeping. The barn was very well heated and remained constantly warm. We had a thoroughly great weekend here and would definitely recommend this place to others looking to stay in the area.

  • If you're looking for a place to 'live like a local' while being centrally located to the ancient historical sites in the Boyne Valley, I would highly recommend Leck Farm. Pat and Alison are warm and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area (since Pat is a 5th generation farmer on the land!). Not only is the place a working farm, but if you're lucky you can catch a few minutes chatting with the owners while she works on hand-weaving items for her craft shop. The accommodations are clean, cozy, charming and quiet - except for the occasional moo or baa. :) We loved the spot and hope to make it back some day!

  • The cottage is lovely. Very nice and warm. A view on Newgrange. Its just around the corner and so worth a visit. You can feel the magic from that place. Pat and Allison are hard working good people. Very friendly and interested. They spin their own wool. Her homemade braad and jam is yummie

    Karin2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful location with view of Newgrange and river! My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of days, the surroundings were amazing and there was always something to see on Pat & Alison's farm. Their converted barn has very good heating and everything you need for a cosy night in, with plenty of space for lounging. We recommend this place perfect for a country getaway. Pat & Alison were very friendly and accommodating with whatever we needed :)

My place is close to great views and some of Ireland's historic monuments including Newgrange, Knowth, The Hill of Tara and Slane Castle. Enjoy walks along the River Boyne. Only 40 minutes from Dublin too! You’ll love my place because of the cosy farmhouse, our quiet cul-de-sac is surrounded by countryside, perfect for hiking and exploring, and our farmyard is bustling with life. Breakfast and tea/coffee always provided. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers.
  • It is a really nice old fashioned country house, where we slept, the sun rose. Josie was really friendly and offered us tea when we arrived and you really should think they have 7 kinds of home baked there like in Southern Jutland at home

  • Great host and spot.

    Michael2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Josie is the most kind, spontaneous and caring host one could wish for. Josie and Brandon are opening their very spacious cosy home, and offer divine breakfasts and good (single) beds. A warm welcome and a home away from home. We definitely can recommend Josie. Note: you absolutely need a car for this b&b.

    Dianne2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Josie was a wonderful host. She looked after us so well, on arrival at the B&B after the Church before dropping us at the venue including tea and cake before heading off, then picking us up after the wedding at 1am and making tea for us, and then a wonderful breakfast this morning. Thank you so much Josie. You are a "one in a million" host.

    Maura2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Josie and her husband went above and beyond to make my first visit to Ireland delightful! Quiet beautiful location and delicious breakfasts!

    Lee2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a real delightful Irish experience with a real warm welcome, this is the place for you

    Don2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Josie has a beautiful home ideally located for Newgrange and all the many Boyne Valley visitor sites. She is a warm, friendly generous host who makes any guest totally welcome

    Paul2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Besides a nice room, Josie had candies on the dresser. She lit a fire in the cozy living room for us the first night and offered us tea or wine with biscuits. Her breakfasts each morning were generous and delicious. Her home is beautiful. She has a great sense of humor and a courteous family. Don't hesitate to stay at her place. I would definitely do it again.

  • A wonderful family home. Susan is a warm, welcoming host to a beautiful home. It was our first Airbnb experience and it was first class. Susan made us immediately feel that we were at our own home. There was 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 children. The space was ideal. Our trip was for a wedding at Tankardstown House and this home is an ideal stay for such an occasion. Slane is beautiful. There is also a local Playground which is great for little ones. The local market shop has all essential provisions but Susan had the fridge and the cupboards full. The house has 3 good sized double rooms. The largest with a very comfortable mattress and pillows. Super en-suite bathroom with a great shower. The kitchen diner is very pretty with a sizeable dining room table for the whole family to enjoy the wood fire. The lounge is comfortable to snuggle up and catch some tv before bed. Delighted to recommend this lovely home.

    Duncan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s place was fantastic. Beautiful spacious property with a fantastic kitchen space and really comfortable bedrooms. Susan kept in touch after booking and was there to let us in and show us around when we arrived. Great experience all around.

  • What a fantastic find! We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a wedding in the Millhouse. Susan’s house was a perfect location for this, being a pleasant five minute walk away. The accommodation itself is incredibly stylish, while also feeling homely (the beds are incredibly comfortable!) Susan was a great host, always replying promptly to any queries we had, and providing us with ingredients to make breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

  • Susans home is one the the nicest places we have stayed. The house was immaculately clean and she left lots of lovely breakfast things and personal touches that we absolutely loved. The house was lovely and warm and the communication was prefect. There were 4 of us staying for 2 days for a wedding and we could not have been in a more perfect location or in such a wonderful place. Thank you so much!

  • I loved my stay here. Kate and her family are lovely people and their home is gorgeous and sparkling clean. What a cozy place. Plus I had an amazing bath! Thank you Kate!!

    Marion2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kate and Greg have a beautiful country home about 30 min outside Dublin. It is very clear from the moment you enter that they have put a lot of work into the house. The house is very clean and inviting, and is the perfect respite to the chaos of arriving or departing from the airport. I had wonderful conversations with Greg, and he was always quick to offer me coffee and something to eat. You will need a car, though. It is definitely in “the country.” Although that may be exactly what you’re looking for.

    Ryan2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
