This cozy home was featured in the Holiday Home Tour in 2012 and was a favourite! It is situated atop of our family business "School Days Cafe". (Cafe open Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm, during school hours only). Private bathroom off of bedroom with walk in closet. Hot tub off your room on wrap around deck! Pool table on premise in huge great room with wet bar. Come for a relaxing get away. Approximately 50 minutes from airport!
Above our family run business that is open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm! The Loft!
Friendly and quiet town!
  • Cheri and Kevin were both amazing. Super welcoming and made us feel at home. The location is pretty central, was able to drive up to Blue Mountain the following day. The hot tub was incredible as well. Will definitely be back.

  • Cheri and Kevin, and their Loft, is everything its cracked up to be. They are generous and their space and hospitality lavish. Clean, stylin’ and full of wee perks. No complaints AT ALL. I cant even suggest anything to make it better! The hot tub was glorious in the snow, and the bed comfy. So nice to have our own ensuite bathroom.

  • Lovely spot, tastefully decorated and the room wiht the en-suite and walk-out to the hot tub is wonderful. My husband and I went there for Valentine's week-end and it was perfect !! Also walking distance from a number of great restaurants and pubs in Shelburne. Would not hestitate to reccommend.

  • Cozy comfortable room with a big ensuite bathroom attached. The bed is super comfortable and the hot tub right outside the door was the main event for us. Cheri and Kevin are super friendly and welcoming. You will enjoy your stay here for sure!

  • Awesome place to stay. Feels just like home. Very inviting and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely stay there again. Cheri and her husband are awesome hosts. Highly recommend staying here.

  • The loft is such a great space. Cheri and Kevin are so inviting, you feel like you are visiting family. The hot tub directly outside of the bedroom and the attached en suite feel private, yet you have all of the amenities of a full home if you need them. The cafe downstairs is super convenient if you are there on a school day! We were skiing at Mansfield Ski Club (great hills) and will definitely stay here again when we return.

  • Had a lovely stay in Shelburne, and Cheri made it even more delightful. She gave me space when I wanted it, but also warmly welcomed me in her home. As far as shared accommodations go, this was fantastic.

Private room in a country home. Surrounded on 3 sides by a Cedar grove in rural country side just outside of the town of Shelburne. One room inside the house with shared shower and washroom facilities and wifi.
Secluded cedar grove with 2 acres, 10 mins from the town of Shelburne, 25 mins from Orangeville. Lots of room for running around and playing games. Use our BBQ or kitchen facilities. We have a shower on the second floor next to the guest bedroom.
We live on a typical dirt, rural road. Our nearest neighbor is across the farmers field. There is a wooded area across the street. It is very quiet except for the periodic vehicles that travel up and down the road.
  • My second stay with Pam and Wes. Lovely couple to stay with.

    Mary2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Wesley are warm and entertaining hosts! The check-in using the numerical code worked without any problems and let us into the house before the two were finished. For tea lovers: ask about the traditional Chinese tea ritual with original tea service :)

  • Thank you very much Wesley, it was really interesting talking with you! Wesley and his wife are very welcoming and very accommodating. The room was clean, I would definitely stay there again!

  • Eric and Diana’s place is amazing, and they’re the most wonderful and welcoming hosts. They were so helpful in telling us about the area, and Eric in booking a dinner reservation for us, helping me with my car, making us an amazing breakfast and coffee every morning—all of it. Highly recommend this place. It’s cozy, great for hiking, and the hot tub is unreal. Truly the best getaway.

    Danielle2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to spend a weekend away from the city. The hosts are very helpful with tips for nearby hiking etc. The space is really pretty and they make a mean breakfast. I would 100% recommend a visit to this relaxing lodge.

    Juliana2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The communication was very accurate, the bedroom was very comfortable and there was an ease to the whole experience as Diana and Eric are great hosts and interesting people. What can’t be overstated is the beautiful location and surrounding forest. My evening walk to the top of the valley to watch the sunset and subsequent return in the twilight was a highlight. Then off for a meal at the nearby Terra Nova Public House. By Scott! I couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thanks!

    Mark2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay. They exceeded my expectations. Quaint log home with a hot tub and beautiful scenery. My parent and I were treated with amazing hospitality by the owners Diana and Eric. Great place for couples and family’s. Defiantly will come again.

    Nic2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very happy with our stay ! We got a lot of snow and it wasn't too cold so we could enjoy the outdoors for hours and hours. This included a lovely 2 hours hike in the forest, making a snowman & hot tub experience in the snow ! Also Diana and Eric were so nice and made our stay very comfortable ! It was nice to meet them and we hope to see them again !

  • Amazing location, beautiful surroundings, and Diana is on point with her communication and hospitality. Would highly recommend this Log Home in Ontario’s backyard. Heaps to do in the area and a great way to immerse yourself in a haven of natural beauty.

  • My stay at Diana was excellent, I know I will be back again. Warm comfortable hospitality, amazing property, a great option for a quick getaway. It really is beautiful. See you again!

    May2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we booked Diana was so responsive and very informative which made me very excited for the weekend (one night) escape from the city. The weather ensured that we stay put and Diana welcomed us into her space. The photos don’t do the space justice. It’s filled with plants and instruments, and the coziness is perfection a little getaway. We used her kitchen to make dinner and it was great to have all the tools we needed in one space. Diana let us have the other room we didn’t book because it had a larger bed which was very nice. It looked out to the snowy trail and the hot-tub we did not get to use because of the freezing rain, next time for sure ☺️ In the morning Diana had set out fresh fruit and yogurt. We didn’t have breakfast (eggs and bacon) it was included because we wanted to go to Pete’s Deli for bagels and donuts and get a hike in at the Mono Cliffs which we did because the weather was so much better. I would stay here again, Diana was very hospitable!

  • Wendy's place is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. The place was sparkling clean and everything one might need was there on site. We especially loved the wood stove which we had on all evening. Wendy herself was very nice and messaged us ahead of time to tell us the road conditions were really bad due to a snow storm and sais she would understand if we cancelled the first night, which we ended up doing just to be safe. I would highly recommend her place for a weekend getaway from the city!

  • We just enjoyed a holiday at Wendy’s apartment and it was the perfect place for our family getaway. The place was spotless and there was lots of light into the unit from all the windows, showcasing the beautiful yard, forest and brook behind. We were close to the nearby ski hill and Wendy had a great binder with tips about the area that we used. Would visit again for sure!

  • Wow. Jerry is such a wonderful host. Super accommodating and very friendly. His place is full of fun, quirky and eclectic decorations. If you're looking for an escape from the city, I can't recommend this place enough. It is tucked away in the quiet and peaceful countryside yet within driving distance to anything that you would really need and want to see (i.e grocery stores, restaurants, hiking trails, and an abundance of nature among other things). Jerry goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and you can tell he has a passion for everything he does from music, to raising plants, to growing veggies etc.). We're so glad to say that this stay was worth every penny and we ended up making a new friend. 10/10.

  • Great spot, well maintained and thoughtful hosts!

  • Great place for a nice relaxing weekend getaway. You're still close to civilization with the feeling of being in the country! Vince and Miranda were great hosts. We had everything we needed and more. Thank you guys for letting us use your place and we will definitely be returning for future events.

    Michael2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Miranda and Vince are incredible hosts! They are thoughtful and caring and always take time to ensure that their guests are well looked after. On this visit Vince prepared the sauna for us! It was freezing out and yet he took the time to do this. This added touch, combined with their respect for their guest’s privacy, is the reason why we continue to book with them. The property is beautiful and romantic. The amenities offered, along with the natural beauty around the place, make this a perfect getaway! Thank you again!

    Paul2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice place. It’s a very, very nice place. We enjoyed many of the things that Miranda & Vince recommended, including watching scenery from the very giant windows, snowshoeing around the property, warming up in the sauna and rolling around in the snow when it was -14°C (seriously! super fun), and relaxing by the fireplace. All of our needs were taken care of, we appreciated the hosts’ hospitality.

    Mike2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great winter getaway! A cozy, super clean, stylish space with awesome views and only a short drive from the city. We loved walking down the country roads and warming up afterward with a woodstove fire. The suite had everything we could want, including a very comfy bed. Miranda and Vince were super helpful and quick to respond. We'd love to return. Thanks, guys!

    Brianna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is a perfect weekend escape. Close enough to the city to be an easy drive, but quiet and peaceful. The space is absolutely spotless and filled with all sorts of nice touches, from (amazingly effective!) fire starters to a welcome note and some chocolates. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a quiet evening spent reading by the fire!

    Alex2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, comfy and surrounded by forests and fields, Miranda and Vince’s home was just the place we needed for a relaxing escape from the bustling city. A perfect place for a weekend getaway. Thanks again, we’d definitely make another trip to Sunny Pines.

This mid century modern country home is on 6 acres of mature cedar forest, in a clearing with a deep picturesque pond , a 2 bedroom main house and a more rustic separate (summer only) sleeping bunkie. The perfect spot for a creative project retreat, hiking enthusiasts or for anyone wanting a getaway a short drive from Toronto (100km- on average from door to door). Hiking the Bruce Trail, fishing, lazing by the pond, and nights by the fire- indoor or out. Frog choir and epic night skies included!
The house is wood, window and colourful textiles. An unexpected mid-century modern retreat in the middle of the Ontario woodlands. The space is clear, uncluttered, stocked with books and games, firewood for the outdoor hand-built stone oven or the indoor wood stove, a cedar sauna (we suggest a sauna> roll in the snow> sauna cycle!) and 3 living rooms for naps or reading. The custom kitchen is stocked with any and everything you need to cook or bake (oils, vinegars, spices, baking supplies- use anything you need and just let us know if something runs out so we can replace it) and a handmade wood table from fallen Toronto storm oaks. The piano room is perfect for retreat projects... plenty of writers and musicians and filmmakers have used the space for personal projects. The spareness of the space in balance with the linen sheets and fluffy duvets makes for a perfect balance of clarity of mind and comfort of body. NOTE> any guests over 4 people are $25/ person. The additional sleeping is as follows.... The 3rd bedroom is a sleeping bunkie and will only be available in the summer and not unless arranged ahead of time. It is a clean, white space with a mirror, double bed, linen bedding and large picture window with curtains. It is hot in the humidity of the summer, and an oscillating fan is provided. This is a more rustic experience, not a "house" experience! It'll only be available in the summer months, and the shoulder seasons (with lots of extra wool blankets, which will be provided). In the winter the extra 2 people can use one of many single couches, or a (not very comfy) double pullout couch can be made up in the living room. There are duvets and pillows for these couches. Again, it’s $25/person per night over the first 4 people. You may request for extra people/ larger families and we will approve on a case-by-case basis. In the house there is a sectional couch that makes 2 single beds. Another sectional in front of the fireplace that can sleep another 2. You’re welcome to bring an air mattress if you want to create another bed on the floor of the piano room. There are duvets or sleeping bags for all supplementary beds. SAFETY NOTE- the main house has many railings above an open living space, which may prove a challenge with toddlers.
The property is in Mulmer- a Unesco World Biosphere Reserve! The land is protected from development so what you experience driving in are rolling hills dotted with farms and forest. The property is next to the Pine River Fishing Reserve and within a 15 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) to trailheads leading you onto the Bruce Trail... a 900km trail system snaking through the countryside of Ontario. Many loops and different trailheads are within a 5 min drive as well. Orangeville and Shelburne are 20 and 10 mins away and have everything you need for LCBO or groceries, Creemore is a 20 minute drive further north and has a heritage main street with cute shops and pubs. Our own local farm to table restaurant can't be beat- Terra Nova Pub, and is 7 km down the road. Many cyclists use the area to train its rolling hills, and the pub (and attached ice cream parlour) is an oasis in the middle of the countryside. Mono Cliffs Inn is 20 mins south and tucked in Mono Provincial Park, a great spot for a hike and farm to table lunch. Mostly we find that if you come stocked with food and wine, besides hikes, there's not much reason to leave the property. Swimming can't be beat in the pond and the house stays perfectly cool in the heat of the summer. For winter visitors, we are 15 mins from Mansfield Ski Club and cross country ski center, and there are snowshoes in the front closet.
  • Amazing location, house, amenities. Loved it all.

    Kim2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It is a clean and wonderful place to have a rest. Me and my friends like this place very very much!

    Fenglin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is magic. From amazing hosts to a great location - we had a perfect winter weekend hiking the Bruce Trail, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Gathering back at this lovely home for delicious meals in the well stocked kitchen and then enjoying a sauna or playing games or reading by the fire - it just couldn't have been more lovely. Everything was comfortable, clean and charming. Do pack slippers though as the floors are chilly (we like a cool space so didn't use much electric heat; instead opting for the fireplace). Thank you and we'll look forward to visiting again!

    Vanessa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay so, so much. Out of all the Airbnbs I’ve been to this was by far my favourite. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the house is stylish and cozy, with so many thoughtful touches, wonderful books, and lovely furniture. We especially enjoyed the sauna, the fireplace, and the easy access to the Bruce Trail. It was really nice to be able to play the piano too. And it feels isolated in a nice way, but is also so close to Toronto!! We would definitely stay here again, in summer or winter.

  • Rent this yurt! Countless hiking trails within a 15 minute drive, and many other small town features close-by, this yurt is perfect for families, couples, and small groups. There isn't an electrical connection available inside the yurt, so you'll need to bring back-up battery powerbanks to recharge your phones, or simply leave them in the owner's house overnight. Overall, this was a fantastic weekend getaway, and we look forward to returning here in the near future! <3 Thanks Ellen!

    Marcus2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen is super nice and responsive! Loved the yurt. Much cozier than expected and the hot tub was great as well. Suggestions: bring an additional lantern and refillable water bottles

    Fiona2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a wonderful time this past weekend ! Everything was exactly as promised and Ellen and Joey were great hosts. Was our 2nd visit and will for sure be coming back 😊

    Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was fantastic, easy to keep warm and very comfy. Ellen was a great host who offered lots of tips for things to do in the area, and supplied tons of fire wood to keep us very warm and cozy! Will definitely be returning!

    Ricardo2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great get away! Was glad we brought extra lamps for lighting as it is quite dark. Beds were ok for a 2 night stay. The hot tub is amazing! There is lots of information about the trails that are near by. WE loved this stay and plan on returning!

    Sharon2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We want to thank Ellen and Joey for the amazing hospitality while we stayed at their yurt. We were so cozy and it was the perfect getaway with our dog! Communication before arrival was excellent and check in was easy with a tour of the property and instructions for working the wood stove. Helpful tips for packing: extra kindling from your recycling would be helpful as we went in the winter and had the fire going continuously. Extra lanterns: they provided about 5 but we would have liked a few more. Bring board games! Our favourite moments when we were UNPLUGGED and enjoying each others company. There were plenty of blankets so we were happy we didn’t pack extra. We explored a lot around the property and went to the Bruce trail which was very close! We heated our food on the wood stove so it would be helpful if you precooked you’re food and heated it up when ready to eat! You will not regret escaping to this spiritual yurt, we hope to visit again soon!

    Ashley2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen and Joey are amazing hosts who have built the yurt on their property with lots of love. My partner and I arrived earlier than anticipated, and Ellen greeted us with a smile while Joey had already begun warming up our yurt. The entire property itself is stunning and secluded, providing the perfect serene scenery with an abundance of trails and a hot tub nearby to unwind. The property is also a short drive away from the beautiful provincial park, where there are many more trails to enjoy. The yurt has all the amenities for a comfortable stay, including firewood, some lanterns and flashlights, and the necessities for cooking on the fireplace. This lovely place is just over an hour outside of Toronto in the winter, making it the cherry on top of a perfect winter getaway. Thank you, Joey and Ellen!

    Dagmara2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was beautiful, exactly as described. We were there during an ice storm but the yurt was very cozy and comfortable. There was a composting toilet attached as well for convenience. We will definately visit again.

  • Getaway farms was one of the most peaceful stays we've been to, its such a nice escape from the usual city life. Teresa was an amazing host, she was welcoming and showed us around the farm when we first got there. Her dogs are also insanely cute and ran towards us with open paws. The apartment we stayed at was fairly clean, there wasn't a smell of any sort, it was right next to the stable so we saw the horses out the window, and the view of the sunrise and sunset was amazing. There was a few bugs such as; flies and mosquitoes, so bringing a repellent would be helpful. Theres also a chance to meet, pet, and do excersises with the horses, which helps you get out of your comfort zone and feel more connected.Definitely, would come here again! It's such a pleasant experience, that is secluded from the businesses of urbanization.

  • WOW! What a unique stay. I stumbled across the listing by complete chance... and am I ever glad I did. The property is stunning. It was a perfect escape from the city. Theresa was a wonderful host who greeted us when we arrived, showed us around, and always made sure that we were okay throughout the stay. She added some wonderful personal touches to our stay that made the weekend just that much more special. All the animals on the property are very friendly, and make the stay that much more worthwhile. Horses, cats, dogs... they all brought us so much happiness. The dogs joined us as we lay on the grass to work on our tans and we couldn’t have asked for better company. Looking out at the horses in the distance was an absolute treat. We were also able to get up close and personal with them inside the barn. What a wonderful place...We were free to roam the property as if it were ours. Thank you Theresa! What an awesome stay and experience! Hope to come back soon!

  • I car camped on Wes and Pam's property over theThanksgiving weekend.. Their property is rural, on a dirt road, quaintly surrounded by pine trees and farm fields.. It was the perfect spot to tuck away my Jeep for the night while in town hiking the Bruce Trail.. Access to amenities in Shelburne were within 10-15 min drive away.. A clean, compostable toilet and shower were also available for use. Wes and Pam were hospitable, friendly hosts and it was a real pleasure chatting with them. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

  • This place was a wonderful B & B to stay in while we hiked the Bruce Trail for the weekend. The suite was a lot larger than we expected. Aside from the bedroom, there is a kitchenette, bathroom, sitting room, and closed in sun room. The breakfast was delicious. Shirley was a very accommodating and pleasant host!

  • The Brookside Cottage is the quintessential cozy cabin with a beautiful view of rolling hills. It has everything you could possibly need. The cottage is located on a large property which you are free to explore at your leisure. Definitely worth taking a walk and exploring! Taria and Dietrich were amazing hosts. They made us feel very welcome and provided us with ample information about the cottage itself, the property and things to do near the cottage. Highly recommend!!

    Nick2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Taria was a lovely and generous host. She kept in touch during our stay with weather updates and deer sightings! She had delicious biscuits and cookies stocked from local bakeries. Brookside Cottage is a wonderful getaway that's close to Toronto and yet remote enough to feel removed. We loved the little loft area upstairs in front of the bedroom, with a mini-fireplace and a cozy rug. There's no wifi, which had escaped my notice initially. It was fine for us, but just an FYI in case you need/want it.

    Eileen2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • I am in love with this country property and everything it has to offer! So clean, peaceful, and beautiful. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. We had so much fun all warm in the cottage and playing outside in the snow. It's been the 3rd visit for our little dog family and we keep coming back for more!

    Cisly2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely special place. Very cozy, and peaceful. Will definitely return! Slept like a dream :) thank you!

    Jennifer2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Brookside Cottage! If I could give 10 stars I would. It was spotless, quiet, private, and Taria & Dietrich have thought of every little detail right down to dog towels and a spare back pack for hiking. The cottage and the property are both gorgeous, and very peaceful. It was so convenient being able to hike around the property with the dog, and we enjoyed the mix of field and forest walks. The welcome basket had some delicious local treats and lots of tips to enjoy local offerings - which we took full advantage of. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend away, and will definitely be back! Thank you so much Taria & Dietrich!!

    Shelby2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Brookside cottage is a charming and peaceful little slice of heaven! My husband and I were attending a wedding in Alliston and booked Brookside Cottage for two nights. The beauty of this place is in the details, the lovely welcome basket full of goodies, the heated floors in the bathroom, the extra amenities and quality finishes. All of these things made our visit so comfortable we didn't want to leave! Taria and Dietrich gave us a warm welcome and invited us to explore their lovely property. Whether we were visiting their horses, sitting on the deck enjoying the sunset or cuddling in the gazebo, we felt so relaxed and at home! Brookside cottage is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. We are so grateful to Taria and Dietrich for opening their cottage to us and we can't wait to come back!

    Lisa2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We booked a weekend for a nearby wedding and we couldn't have had a nicer stay. The cottage was lovely, very clean and was totally comfortable for ourselves and our young son. Taria was an amazing host! She met us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. She was also incredibly generous taking time to introduce our son to farm life. We also fell in love with her super sweet dogs. We enjoyed walks on the property and taking in the views in the gazebo. We had never been to the area before, and were really impressed. It was a great spot to spend a weekend out of the city.

  • Our guests had a fabulous stay at Jill and Jeff's. Beautiful accommodation, sparkling clean and amazing location! The best place to stay in Mono! Thanks again for making their stay so perfect and memorable:). Cannot say enough great things about the stunning location, beautiful cabin and exceptional hosts! Thanks so much;)

    Richard2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is in a great location - it's easy to access yet remote enough to be very peaceful. We found it very easy to relax and recharge here. The hosts have some cats and dogs that are very friendly should you be interested in playing with them. There's a wood burning stove in the cabin and the hosts provided everything we needed on arrival to have a fire running for added cosiness! We would definitely come back again.

    Joe2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • My little getaway at the cabin was absolutely perfect - exactly the quiet retreat I was looking for! The cabin was clean, very well-appointed, private, and communications with Jill were extremely fast and she was flexible with my unexpected changes. Thanks so much!!

    Mandy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place in the country! Very spacious and clean. Wonderful place to relax and take walks outside. Will definitely return when in the area.

    Peggy2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This nook is the picture perfect definition of a retreat in nature. the large windows provide that perfect out in the open feeling with the comfort of modern day living. The place was very clean, the water comes from a well and is so clean. Like you can actually taste the difference. Overall our stay is exactly what I hoped it would be. Super friendly, and even more so that we could bring our dog with us too! It is the all in all package deal for a nature retreat. Especially in the winter when it gets harder to be outdoors and still have your comforts, this place made that winter outdoor experience possible with the hiking trails on site. Loved it!

    Aimee2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to unplug from the world and yet close enough to stores and shoppings.

    Karinne2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Second time staying here, and once again, great. Close to so much amazing nature, and close to Toronto too. We found the Hockley Valley trail this time, about 5 minute drive away. Highly recommended.

    Ted2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved every moment here. When we booked this beautiful, open space, we had no idea how much we needed a quiet getaway. From the impeccably clean apartment to the acres of walking trails, to Annette’s warm personality and welcoming added touches, it was a perfect fit. From the moment we walked in, we felt relaxed and creatively inspired. In addition, the area offers beautiful scenery and some great restaurants. We will be back!

  • We enjoyed our weekend retreat at Annette’s. Her suite was sparkling clean, very comfortable, and conveniently located. We loved the paths she had through the woods on her property. Beautiful!!

  • Richard’s place is just amazing... each corner tells a story. If you are looking for a relaxing and comfortable place, you find it! Richard is a great host: kind and friendly, attentive to the needs of his guests and above. His place, surrounded by nature, is a peaceful oasis fully equipped even for a long stay. There’s nothing bad to say... everything is so enjoyable! Thank you Richard, we will be back soon... 😊

  • The Dew Drop Inn is a great place to unwind, and enjoy the quiet of country life. Richard is an excellent host who makes your comfort his priority. Activities for the kids as well as breakfast staples were included, and made our stay even more relaxing. Thanks again for the hospitality!

    Chantal2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was a great host with a great unit in a beautiful area. Richard brought out toys for our son to play with, and was really helpful with activities in the area. The unit is big and open, and the yard is a great place to unwind or explore.

    David2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience with airbnb and I must say it will be hard to beat. Our host had thought of everything and ensured we wanted for nothing. Very friendly and welcoming!

  • Dew Drop Inn is a quaint place nestled in the Hockley Valley. We (a family of four from India) stayed there from 21 May 19 for four nights. Richard gave us a very informative tour of the property right in the begining. The property has two bed rooms with a kitchenette which is well stocked with pans, pots, plates and cutlerey. Richard was also kind enough to stock the fridge with items for breakfast. Apart from the fact that the rooms very neat and tidy, Richard has really taken pains in adding some artistic touches. Rooms are well decorated with antiques, paintings and very apt quotes. There are some very interesting books and magazines kept very artistically. Including a set of Bathroom Readers which I enjoyed reading on the throne. I would highly recommend the property to families and couples who have to visit Hockley Valley, Orangeville or Mono. Also those who are looking for a peaceful place away from hustle and bustle of city life. All in all a very memorable stay.

  • A quiet retreat in the heart of the country. If you're looking for a place to connect with nature - birds, chipmunks in a peaceful setting you will truly enjoy. Richard is extremely attentive to guests' needs & entirely dependable.

  • A wonderful log home! Eric and Diana were lovely as was the whole stay. A wonderful day outdoors hiking with Eric’s advice on a great trail, followed by a wonderful outdoor hot tub under the stars. Also a wonderful breakfast enjoyed with the other guests the next morning. I very much enjoyed my stay. Thank you Eric and Diana

  • A quiet and beautiful haven in winter wonderland, Diana's log home is a true gem. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the stars in the hot tub at night, hiking snowy Bruce Trail, the warm and quirky interior design, delicious breakfasts and Diana & family's kind care. It was perfect for the kind of solo retreat I was doing and will most definitely be back.

    Rosa2020-01-27T00:00:00Z

  • Diana and her family were so welcoming and helpful. The cabin has great quiet atmosphere and we were most comfortable. Communication was timely and accurate and extra care was given to making sure we found the place (the fact that it is a bit removed and our map app didn't work suited us just fine). Diana made a lovely breakfast for us even though we were up and ready to go before the sun. Thanks so much!

Imagine sitting in the hot tub and enjoy a full sky of stars. It is true romantic. Plus there are a lot beautiful birds coming in too. Highly recommend!!!

  • This is truly an amazing place! It was a blessing to our family, the kids had a blast with the animals! It has everything you need to slow down your pace and enjoy the moment...Viktoria is a very kind, generous, and accommodating host!

    Henrietta2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, lovely hostess.

    Sam2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay! The farm is very quiet, we slept so soundly. Nice property with in-ground pool, and a variety of animals. Note- there are dogs and cats on site, so this place is best for animal lovers. (They are very cute and well behaved). There is no WiFi and you may not have much of a cell signal. Bring a book and plan to disconnect for a while. Very cute restaurant called Mrs Mitchell’s at the end of the road with an amazing brunch. Victoria is a lovely person, we didn’t see her much during our stay but communications were timely and thorough. Oh! There is also a lovely barn on site that would be fabulous for a wedding. :)

    Jennifer2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Violet Hill Farm is worth the ride to get away from the city life. The grounds are special. Patina wood barn, fences and farm house, horses in the meadow come to greet you at the fence, trails through the fields, flowers, wind whistling through the trees...it is sweet taste farm life. You will wish it was yours...and Victoria lets you share in it. Seriously...when do you get to make your cup of coffee, go outside and walk to the meadow to visit was two beautiful horses! If you have allergies to pets you may want to visit when you can stay mostly outdoors (there are dogs and cats in the home)...which you will want to do anyway because it is so beautiful. Really nice kitchen...easy to use and everything you need is available. Two bathrooms for guest to use. Decor has a warm, rustic charm. Earl Rowe park is nearby and gives a stunning experience of Canadian nature for only $15 entrance. We rented a canoe for another $15...pine trees, geese, blue skies. The scenery when just driving around the area is breathtaking. Victoria is quick to respond...Violet Hill is a special place cultivated with love by a special lady. We hope to return!!

    Margo2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay with Victoria. Her place is a little slice of heaven. The kids loved all the animals and the peace and quiet of farm life. We hope to return one day.

    Andrea2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house in lovely surroundings. Lots of rooms for sleeping

    Annette2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to pause and refresh, and have a point of stay in a beautiful area in Ontario to explore. From the horses to the tractor to the trails my two year old and I enjoyed our “trip to the farm”. The house and property are picture perfect and Victoria is a most welcoming host. The beds and bath were comfortable and the house is very well equipped for you to dine in or laze on the veranda or by the pool. The animals are very friendly and there were so many amazing spots for this amateur photographer. A great start to summer!

    Karen2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • The animals are adorable, 2 horses, 2 bunnies. 2 cats, one dog and 3 sheep! Serene, picturesque, amazing as a retreat or a family getaway from the hustle and bustle. Disconnect from screen time and connect back to nature in an amazing way. My kids are 11 and 13, at first they went through ipad withdrawals but then they started to discover the world in real time. We played every game and sport. They slept like babies!
