“A little soba restaurant not far from the Shoin Shrine in Setagaya, where I first discovered my love for buckwheat noodles. The aroma of the noodles is just delightful, and it’s a pleasure to stay a while, slowly savoring the leftover broth. I recommend getting the cold seiro soba, light green noodles dipped in a soy sauce-based mixture called tsuyu. With an ample selection of Japanese sake and shochu on the menu, this is a perfect place to come for drinks in the evening.”

“The original menu at this restaurant in Setagaya serving Western cuisine is full of affordable, hearty fare like hamburgers, steak, and spaghetti—always with generous portions. Personally, I recommend the bourbon pork dish, as well as their original rice—they taste great.”
