  • My partner stayed here with her bridesmaids prior to our wedding at O'Reilly's Canungra Vineyard. It was the perfect place for her to get ready and get some amazing photos prior to our ceremony. It is such a beautiful setting and Debra was great with communication and check in making the process stress free prior to the big day. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone having a wedding near by or even if you just want a peaceful country get away.

  • What an amazing place! We were not prepared for how vast the views were, both in the sunshine surrounded by rolling hills and farmland and in the night under an incredible blanket of stars. Robyn was lovely and gave us a great welcome with our breakfast hamper and even let us borrow some push bikes to ride to the Alpaca farm. What a peaceful, quiet and beautiful place ran by some great people, we'd love to come back!

  • Cosy little hinterland cottage, we loved our stay here! Falling asleep on a very good bed to the sounds of the night, then waking up to the first rays of sunlight and enjoy breakfast with view on the lake and coast. It’s a ‘shame’ it wasn’t colder during our stay, then we would definitely have tried the stove!

The place itself is immaculate, and a lot bigger then it looks in the photos. We had many beautiful areas to sit in and enjoy the rain, and a huge garden to explore when it wasn’t raining. Alfie was also an added bonus. Thank you so much Kym, we will be back.

  • We had an amazing stay with my partner in the cottage, it absolutely exceeded our expectations. It’s in an amazing location just a short drive from some beautiful waterfalls and national park walks. We were greeted by the friendliest and amazingly trained border collie dog on arrival who was always up to hang around if you wanted some extra company! The cottage itself was beautifully decorated and very worth the price in amazing condition with lots of gorgeous big plants and beautiful decorations. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you’d need for a feast and greeted with some beautiful treats upon arrival. Kym and her partner were very friendly and helpful but we had privacy the whole time. There was also a jacuzzi beside the side which was a great surprise. Beautiful scenery all around the cottage and very private. Took lots of photos around the property it was all picturesque. Had an amazing time and would highly recommend!

  • Brilliant relaxing stay as always. This is one of our favourite airbnb places to go. Thoroughly recommend!

    Anne2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kym's property is beautiful and an amazing place for a weekend getaway. Everything was so well thought of, the little bag of toiletries, a well stocked kitchen, first aid kit, the extra towels, the books and games and the welcome treats were super yummy! We did have a bit of a fire scare but that was only down at lower Beechmont and Kym assured us we had nothing to worry about. The weather was very pleasant during our stay as well. Overall it's a great place to chill out at and reset before you get back to your hectic life. Thanks Kym!

  • Wow! It was so nice to get out of the City for a couple of days and I chose this place due to the character which truely lived up to expectations. There were so many thoughtful touches such as homemade goods, books and magazines to read, tea, coffee, milk, shower gel etc. I particularly loved waking up to hearing all the birds outside and the fresh country air. The bed was super comfy which was a big plus. Highly reccomended to everyone looking for a quick get away from the city!

  • Stunningly beautiful and exceptionally clean cabin in Canungra just minutes from O’Reilly’s where we were part of a wedding. From the start Kathleen have us very clear instructions, and the cabin was ready and waiting for us. We had a young baby and it was a perfect space, beautifully appointed. We brought all sorts of things with us as most apartments don’t have guaranteed amentities but it had everything we needed. Blissfully quiet and with views out to the valley that our baby could sit and watch for hours. We really loved the stay.

This house sits on elevated slope facing west with lovely views across farming paddocks to the mountains from the expansive decking. Views from inside the house admire the same view. Timber floors with carpet in bedroom, modern functional gas and electric kitchen. Two toilets and two showers, no bath. Satelite tv.
Winter temperatures in the morning drop below zero but gas heating inside the fully insulated home and wood fire on the decking make for cosy and serene surroundings. With tall hedging surrounding a well maintained level grassed area affording you the opportunity to soak in the sun even on windy days, and/or lay back and watch the unpoluted night sky spin past.
Very small village of 10 houses, 1 cafe, 1 phone box, Historic school of arts community hall, rural fire brigade. Walk across the road and soak in the Nerang river. Bush walking in the Numinbah forest reserve. The Natural Bridge is 7 minute drive in the Springbrook National Park. 15km drive to NSW and then onto Chillingham and Murwillumbah or Tyalgum along very scenic country road. Views to west and south towards Beachmont, Binna Burra and Springbrook

    Tim2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for one night and experienced the living environment of the Australian countryside. The ecology is very good. The ones that move outside at night are the bigger ones. Although there is no air conditioner, it can open the doors and windows to ventilate, without mosquitoes. We live here, mainly to play on the Natural Bridge. When I went there at 5 o'clock last night, they were all free tourists from the East. When I went this morning, they were all Westerners. Hehe, only the tour group that collects money is blind. This is a good place and highly recommended.

    Tao2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent stay. We loved the great deck area. Very good location for access to Natural Bridge and the glow worm cave. We are looking forward to visiting again in winter to use the fireplace.

With stunning views north-east down through the valley towards the ocean, our cabin is nestled in the rainforest on the edge of the east facing escarpment of our property. The private, eco cabin was lovingly constructed from mostly recycled timbers and joinery and expanses of glass to give an immersive rainforest experience. It feels like you are sleeping in the treetops. The recently renovated contemporary bathroom and kitchenette embrace clean lines and are environmentally sensitive.
A list of inclusions; King bed made with the finest Italian linen bedding High quality bath sheets and face towels Small bar fridge stocked with some of our farm fresh organic eggs and a small milk (request milk alternative if required) homemade gluten free muesli kettle portable induction cooktop (single) frying pan/pot toaster two plates, two bowls, cutlery, glasses, tea and coffee cups french coffee press complimentary starter pack of fresh ground coffee, herbal tea, black tea, small milk fresh baked biscuits 2 yoga mats iron and ironing board Our rustic cottage sits nestled amongst the trees looking out across a verdant rainforest valley and towards the sea. It is about 20 metres from our main house so ensures privacy. It has a king bed (sleeps two), a newly renovated ensuite and kitchenette. The kitchenette is for preparing light meals such as breakfast. There is a small fridge, tea/coffee facilities, items listed above and a TV for DVD watching only (no TV reception nor internet). Our property sits on an old avocado farm with our chickens called "the girls", Dan, the old farm dog (he sleeps all day as he's too old to get around much) , Gilly, the cat, a horse, fish tanks, vegetable gardens, orchards and manicured ornamental gardens. The cabin is small and cosy (approx 6 x 5 metres with an additional 1.3 m x 4-metre bathroom and 1.2 x 2.5 -metre kitchenette alcove with fridge and tea and coffee making facilities and table and chairs. There is a partially covered verandah with a table and two chairs. The cabin was originally a hardwood timber cow milking shed built in 1932. We repurposed it using 80% recycled, up-cycled, found or given materials. The ethos being not to buy anything new but recently, we had to upgrade the bathroom and for hygiene reasons everything is new but environmentally sensitive. The bed base is made from leftover timber sandwiched together in the style of Dutch furniture designer, Piet Hein Eek. The styling is an homage to my husband's Fijian ancestry with 100 year old tapa cloth hanging and some retro souvenir items. It is important to note that there are no curtains and the cabin has a lot of glass and windows to provide an immersive rainforest experience. It suits those who love waking up to natural light. The kitchenette is suitable for basic food preparation such as breakfast but light, simple meals can be prepared. Tea, fresh ground coffee are provided as are some delicious homemade cookies from my mother's kitchen, some organic eggs from our chickens and my home made gluten free muesli. We recommend you bring anything you may wish to add to these breakfast offerings. As the cabin is in the bush, we recommend you keep the screen doors closed at all times to avoid unwanted visitors such as snakes. We do not like using poisons so you may encounter a spider but rest assured they are more scared of you. In the cupboard, is a plastic container if you would like to catch and humanely relocate an eight legged creature or insect spray for more permanent removal. The cabin is not suitable for children or people with mobility issues due to the stairs down to the cabin and verandahs.
Tamborine Mountain or as we locals like to call it "THE mountain", is a haven for easy to moderate bush and rainforest walks and breathtaking vistas to the east and west. It is a popular destination for day trippers from the Gold Coast and/or Brisbane areas and is an ideal weekend getaway. The climate is milder than on the low lands sometimes up to five degrees cooler. It is referred to as the green behind the gold (Gold Coast) due to it's higher than average rainfall (which is not so high in recent times) and the vibrant green landscapes. This verdant, lush flora is aided also by the rich red volcanic soil. There is a strip of shops and cafes called Gallery Walk catering to tourists which are open all year round. It is not a foodie haven but we have a few little gems that will keep you satiated. There is so much to keep you entertained from rainforest skywalks, wineries, cheese tastings and day spas. There are two monthly markets - the show ground (craft, food, plants and produce) on the 2nd Sunday of the month and the school markets (secondhand and craft) on the last/4th Sunday of the month. Every Sunday between 7 - midday next door to the Showground is the Green Shed where you can purchase locally grown produce, flowers and plants.

  • Meg was a wonderfully accomodating and informative host. This secluded little spot tucked into the side of the mountain is a true escape from the hustle and bustle. Meg provided all the necessities, including beautiful local coffee, and everything one could want for a weekend away. The advice provided around different eating spots was much appreciated. The feeling of waking to the rising sun and the sound of the rainforest waking up would have to be up there on the amazing scales. The beautiful linen and towels was a delightful touch of luxury in this home away from home, with is personal touches from around the world. Friends wo had booked into local motels were very much jealous of my little spot on Tamborine! Would return in an instant given the opportunity!

  • Staying in the cabin was a wonderful experience. We felt it was very private and immersed in nature. Loved waking up to the birds in the morning and the view was beautiful. The cabin was lovingly rustic and decorated in a Fijian flavor. The bed was divine to sleep in and my partner and I felt very rested. We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed for more.

  • Melainie's place was beautiful, and situated in a beautiful rural locale, close to Tamborine Mountain and the Gold Coast. She was a delightful host, making us very welcome and looking after us exceptionally well. There was loads of space inside the house and outside, and we really enjoyed spending our evenings on the deck looking out over the woods. The area is very peaceful and quiet. Melainie made herself available for any queries we had while remaining very unobtrusive. There is wifi, though it's a little slow as the location is away from any main towns.

Relax in comfort & style, in the heart of the hinterland rainforest. You're a short stroll away from world class walking trails, breath-taking lookouts & dazzling waterfalls. Featuring a huge outdoor deck overlooking our creek and rainforest vistas
Situated right at Purlingbrook Falls, you're only minutes away from breath-taking lookouts and national park rainforest. The walking trails on you doorstep take you to a magical world through rainforest, from the spectacular lookouts above the falls, to longer trails that run under the falls and down to Warringa pool, a beautiful spot for a swim or picnic.
Springbrook is a small village sitting in the middle of world heritage rainforests. It has abundant local wildlife and a peace and tranquility that you rarely see this close to a bustling area like the Gold Coast (only 45 minutes away). Just across the road is a fantastic picnic area leading to some of the best walking trails on the mountain. On these trails, within 5 minutes of the cottage you'll reach the spectacular Purlingbrook falls dropping 125 meters to the valley below. a longer trail runs under the falls and down to Warringa pool, a beautiful spot for a swim or picnic.
  • Location is perfect. Close to all lookouts and hikes. Purlingbrook walk is just outside the door. Beatiful to have your morning coffee on the porch and see a lot of birds as your company. Will for sure stay there again if we ever come back. Highly recomend this place.

  • We had a great weekend in Springbrook. Great location walking distance to some beautiful bushwalks that we could enjoy with our two young boys. It's in a street with a few other houses but you feel like you're in the rainforest by yourself. Nice, comfy and clean cottage with a great deck when it's time to kick back.

House with separate studio flat on one acre. Acreage both sides so very quiet neighbourhood. Studio flat basic but clean and cosy. Private flat containing queen bed, lounge, TV, DVD, microwave, fan, heater, fridge and wardrobe . Bathroom contains shower, toilet, sink and washing machine. Kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, crockery, cutlery, microwave bowls and heater provided as well as linen, towels and blankets. Also supplied is fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar, spreads and bread for breakfast.
The flat has its own entrance and lockable doors so you have your own privacy and are able to come and go as you please. The bed and lounge are in the one space with a dividing sliding door to the bathroom.
All the homes in my area are on an acre so the neighbourhood is very quiet. There are no street lights so the evenings are dark outside but this also means the night sky is beautiful. There is much to do on Tamborine Mountain - national parks, wineries, shopping, markets, restaurants. The days are clear and crisp but the nights do get cold in the winter. There are not a lot of restaurants open in the evening so it is advisable to book dinner reservations in advance. Restaurants generally close early also and last orders no later than 8pm.
  • A beautiful peaceful place to stay. The cottage was just perfect for what I needed, the bed was so comfortable I had the best nights sleep. Sue was so easy to talk to and she personally meets you when you arrive, but gives you complete privacy afterwards. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m on the mountain again.

    Samantha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very lovely air bnb with all basic necessities supplied. There were some dvds available for us to watch and brochures for places nearby to visit and explore. A very lovely host who was more than happy to help if we needed anything. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay up there.

    Matthew2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's place is really nice, as described, good value, situated in a beautiful garden in a great area on Mt Tamborine, just a short drive from local shops and eateries. Sue and her family are top hosts. Thanks, would stay again!

    Jonathan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sue met us at the gate when we arrived and was lovely and helpful. The room was clean and cozy, with homey touches everywhere. The location is perfect for any adventure in Mount Tamborine. During our stay we visited the glow worms and walked down Gallery Street. We were very impressed!

    Ashlee2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s place is everything and more than advertised..A perfect little spot to use as a base for exploring the mountain. Communication and welcome brilliant. Little touches like basic fridge item much appreciated ...even plunger coffee so I think I died and went to heaven !!! It really had all that I needed for a safe, happy and enjoyable night away. Wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks Sue and see you again soon.

    Sonia2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sue is an amazing host. We were welcomed late at night and she told us about the accommodation, had some tips for the area and helped us looking at a form of transportation to Gold Coast, as we did not have a car available. The accommodation was really nice, with breakfast in the freezer. The surrounding rainforest had a lovely hiking trail and be sure to do some stargazing at hanggliders lookout. For the hospitality: amazing! Really friendly and a great talk. When our taxi service messed up, she offered to drive us down the mountain so we could still catch our bus. Thanks again!

    Peter2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s place is situated very close to Tambourine Mountain’s natural beauty spots. Very handy.

  • We loved our stay here! The room is super comfy and cute. The atmosphere is beautiful. The bed and pillows are SO comfortable. Will be back again! Thanks Justin!

    Lexi2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 7 nights and had no issues. Microwave, toaster and sandwich press to make meals. Lovely decor, great bathroom, and large comfy bed. Some cobwebs in corners of room with small (really small) house spiders, which could potentially bother some people. We only had one large spider in the week we stayed (huntsman or wolf, we are from UK so not sure which it was) but removed it easily so no drama 20/30 minutes from all the big attractions, about an hour to most national parks. We would stay again if we decide to pass through the Gold Coast.

    Rio2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Justin’s place was exactly as described. With a quiet, peaceful location which suited us perfectly. The studio is completely private, and when we arrived everything was spotless. The bed is super comfy and we slept well both nights (not seeing any spiders!). Would definitely stay again and recommend to other guests

    Amy2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely place to stay I would recommend to anyone and will definitely go back there if I ever needed to stay on the Gold Coast again.

  • We had a very comfortable, quiet, stay at Justin’s place and it was the perfect base for us (we stayed here to attend a wedding nearby). Justin was very flexible with check in time which we really appreciated and communicated very promptly. Side note: water pressure is excellent!

Such a beautiful area and the host provides so many wonderful tips about things to do and where to eat! The space is incredibly clean, the complimentary breakfast is so fresh and there are so many thoughtful little touches: like the bath robes and bath salts. Perfect for a romantic weekend. Thank you so much for a beautiful stay. Will hopefully be back soon!

  • What an amazing little sanctuary Tanya has created, the decor was super cute and the plants were thriving! We really appreciated the little extras such as the homegrown eggs and the fresh sourdough. The place had everything we needed, we wish we had made use of the bikes, it’s such a great idea. Also, we were lucky enough to be given a late check out, it’s always so nice not to rush to finish a holiday. We will most definitely be recommending it to friends and coming back ourselves.

  • The photos of Taryn's space do not do it justice - it is so much more beautiful in person. So many thoughtful touches and the amenities are superb. The breakfast provided was such a lovely and personal touch, and the hosts are super quick to reply and gave us so many suggestions for food and local activities. I can't recommend this AirBNB enough - it is amazing.

  • We loved our stay at Jan’s place - the surrounding area is beautiful and we managed to visit O’Reilly’s and Natural Bridge as recommended by Jan - despite the fact that we experienced torrential downpours much of the time there. We loved seeing the kangaroos in the garden and the covered outdoor space to eat in and relax. Everything you need, and more, is provided. There was plenty of hot water and it felt very private. A great base for touring the scenic rim!

  • Nestled up in the hills, Jan's place was a perfect weekend getaway for my partner and I. The house was gorgeous and my partner who loves cooking, absolutely loved the fully-equipped kitchen. The School Master's Cafe in the old school was fantastic and was located about 5-10mins away from the house. Travelling up/down the mountain also offered up some pretty amazing views! Excited already to come back sometime soon :)

  • The house was perfect - we especially loved the giant hares and the wallaby with her Joey out the back. Everything we needed with backups of essentials. House clean and tidy. Plenty of essentials and we needed nothing. Communication was helpful and prompt. Will definitely stay again.

  • Outstanding views, lovely space and amenities. Cafe directly next to cabin and other cabin is about 15-20 meters away. Perfect for a couples getaway and close enough to the beach, shopping centres, hinze dam or numinbah valley for day trips.

    Koffy-Lea2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here, the cabin is well set up and in a lovely location, perfect for a weekend away from it all. We sadly were unable to use the fire during our stay due to a fire ban in the area but we appreciated that all the information and equipment we would have needed was there and readily available. The cafe next door was wonderful for morning coffees without having to go too far as well. Would happily stay here again.

  • Such a stunning little getaway. The perfect little cottage and the surrounding bush is stunning. Jan has done an outstanding job with her property and that view is to die for. We did the speed painting and it was so much fun. I have never painted and Jan stepped us through it and I couldn’t believe the result in the end. Miley, Jans dog is so beautiful she got along really well with our fur baby as well and that was one of the best parts being able to take your fur baby and go to breakfast with her too. Highly recommend Jans place!

Mudgeeraba is close to diverse attractions like Springbrook rainforest, unspoilt bush provides a popular destination for bush walking, picnicking, and exploring waterfalls and swimming holes. • A lovely, relaxing getaway from the big smoke! I loved waking up to the sounds of birds, and the view of trees out of the large bedroom windows. The outdoor bath was definitely a favourite. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

    Jodi2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect spot for a getaway vacation - surrounded by Bush land and the outdoor kitchen and bathroom were just beautiful! Can’t recommend this place enough :)

    Ruby2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely recommend staying here, a great few away in tropical surroundings. The place was clean and gorgeous, Catarina was very kind and helpful. It was beautiful.

    Natasha2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin makes you feel like you’re so far from the city. The outdoor bathroom was my favourite part and I also loved how private it was. It was so nice to wake up with the natural light in the morning and see rainforest through the huge windows in the bedroom. Would highly recommend this spot- so lovely and tranquil. The only thing not mentioned on the listing was that the driveway is really narrow and steep.

    Lily2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and rustic set up Relaxing quiet time - exactly what we needed The outdoor showers were refreshing!! Gerixx

    Geri2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • The only thing negative was we didnt book enough time here to maximise the beauty of this place. We loved the the outdoor bath and shower, our toddler found them quite the novelty too! I personally enjoyed showering looking up at the foliage and skies. The fairy lights gave the place an extra special feel. Catarina's mum helped us at check in and she was just an absolute sweet heart. I wish I had more time to go down and visit her where she lives on the property but we were heavily booked with activities while visiting. The location is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast but still so close it gives the best of both worlds. Local shops in the area are great for basics or a quick bite to eat. The place may be a bit warm for those who don't do well with heat but Catarina has added an aircon to the bedroom to help negate this and it didn't bother us coming from where we live. Getting outside provides a cool reprieve especially once you add water ;)

    Anita2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Caterina & Jose's space is divine. Exceptionally clean and deluxe, this retreat provides the perfect green retreat for all folk. Their hospitality was phenomenal.

    Grace2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing!! It is a retirement cabin surrounding by the nature, which make it more special. In this place you can listened to beautiful sounds made by a variety of animals, also the peace and the energy of the place is amazing. This is a really nice place to stay in holidays, just 20 minutes from the gold coast shore, so it is really nice
