It was a great stay in Wayne's granny flat. It is nicely decorated and get everything equipped. It is quite private which is situated on the ground floor while the host family living upstairs. It's a nice flat for a small family with kids, which kids can have a seperate bedroom. With the train which is about 8 minutes walk you will reach city without transfer. My family enjoyed the 2 weeks' stay for the school holiday, especially my son loves looking after the chickens in the backyard and he enjoyed their fresh eggs :-)

We really enjoyed our stay at Wayne's family apartement which is well equipped, clean and just perfect for families with children. The family welcomed us warmly and open. We stayed ten days in Sandgate which is a beautiful and quiet part of Brisbane with close shopping centres and nice walks around the lagoon or along the coast. We extremely recommend the place.

The accommodation was perfect and Wayne and his partner are a genuine nice couple. Wayne was flexible with check-in time and made sure everything was right, even taking the effort to bring freshly baked biscuits. The accommodation was exactly as described and located close to shops and the beach. I would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful experience staying in the fully self contained unit in Sandgate. The Hosts Wayne and Pippa were most welcoming and provided us with a very comfortable unit to stay in. Being a local from the Sandgate area made it a great respite from the grinds of renovating up the road. The unit provided my son and myself separate bedrooms, combined bathroom/laundry facilities, fully equipped kitchen and comfy lounge area. The patio leading on to the backyard also enhanced the huge living space. It was great to listen to chickens down the back of the yard and even better to be eating their fresh eggs. The local area provided great access to early morning walks by the bay and the local shops were within easy walking distance. Every need was met by the hosts and we had a very enjoyable comfy stay in the newly renovated unit. Thanks Wayne, Pippa and the lovely children. Judy

Our hosts were great. Flexible when we needed a late check in and so willing to help. Very genuine people. Description of the unit was very acurate, in fact it was better than described. Private and peaceful. Great spot, walking distance to town and the water. Very reasonably priced, and we would book again.

Jan is a lovely and helpful host. We recently spent 6 nights at her unit and enjoyed our stay. It was ideal for our needs, clean and comfortable with a second table to use as a desk, very handy to work from. We would be happy to stay with Jan in the future and recommend her to others.

If you need to stay close to the Airport in Brisbane this is the best place you will find value for money wise. Facilities and hospitality were perfect for myself and my fiancé who were looking for a quiet self contained place to stay. Accomodation was clean & cosy. Jan was a lovely host, made us feel very welcome. Close to Brisbane entertainment centre. Good location to Northside of Brisbane but only 30-40mins drive to Southside of Brisbane.

We were met by Carol. Before we arrived she emailed and even offered to pick us up from the train station if needed. We didn't require that but it was lovely of her to offer. For us the location was fantastic just a couple of streets away from family, who we were visiting.

What a wonderfully appointed little unit - clean and comfortable. Everything you could want in the one place - cereal, bread, fruit, condiments, milk, shampoo, soaps and more! Very walkable to the shops, bowling club, waterfront and train station. We didn't need to hire a car, which was a bonus. Carol was a very welcoming host (we didn't get to meet Tony). We would highly recommend 'Cath's on Sandgate' to any future travellers to the area.

Place was in a great location..close to the water, cafe's & town. Such great place to stay..felt like home.

We stayed here for 7 nights. Easy short walk to shops, restaurants, and waterfront. Extremely clean and comfortable apartment with nice outdoor space for guests to use, in a very quiet neighborhood with easy street parking. The generous supplies for breakfast made an excellent place even better. Would absolutely stay here again.

I loved staying at Caths on Sandgate. Such a beautiful place to stay - it was very comfortable and safe and had everything that I needed. The room was exceptionally clean and quiet and the bed was so so comfy! Cath even picked me up from the train station! Loved staying here and would definitely recommend Caths on Sandgate.

Trevor's Sandgate Beach house was spacious, light-filled and beautifully appointed. Our family enjoyed being so close to the public pool with waterslides, the playground, esplanade and local cafes. The lounge and dining areas were large enough to entertain friends and family we were catching up with on our interstate stay.

The location is amazing...magic setup. Gorgeous walks day and night...you will love your stay.

Although we didn't meet Trevor, he and his family were very accommodating. We were left a voucher for Fish on Flinders next door (great coffee by the way!) which was lovely and unexpected. The house was beautiful.

This cottage was perfect my daughter and I, it was very central for us, it was an easy walk to the delightful village of Sandgate and a little further on to the beach. We loved the décor, it was very clean and it felt like home, also loved spending time on the deck, we had a great BBQ here with our family. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of hanging space/shelving etc. Our host Tracy was very easy to deal with and checking in and out was super easy. We were very happy with Mitchell Cottage.

Annabel's unit was great, as was the host. I was Annabel's first guest, and my visit was very enjoyable. Very private location. Close to beach, airport, and transport. Walk to a large IGA and other shops. Own entrance, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette with microwave and fridge, BBQ on your own covered deck, with laundry too. Comfortable bed, lounge chair, and TV. Also large chest of drawers and coat rack. Just about everything you need for a short or long stay. I just wish that I'd booked longer earlier and didn't have to move!

Nice quiet street, walking distance to train, only two stops to Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Great for a one night stopover!

It is a lovely area to stay with good walks along the waterfront and a friendly safe area to stay. The description of the room was accurate. It was a very pleasant place to stay. Kirsty's place was in the perfect position because it was only a 10 minute walk to visit elderly relations. It is well apppointed, comfortable and handy to many shops, transport and cafes. Kirsty also supplies a lovely breakfast and she is very friendly and hospitable. One other bonus is that it's not far away from Brisbane Airport.

Kirsty was very flexible and understanding about our need to change dates. The space is as described (you need to walk thru her study/ sitting room to access room). It was very hot (no AC) so the peak of summer is not the best time to stay. It is in a great location and quiet.

We had a lovely stay at Naracoopa. Grace and David were most accommodating. The self contained pavilion is fully equipped with everything you'd need for a short stay. Located at the rear of their property, there is plenty of privacy. If you have the chance, be sure to try their wonderful breakfast in the main dining room - what a wonderful spread of fresh fruit, bread and jam. Thanks guys for a lovely stay.

Fantastic place just as described. Loved the privacy and setting. Location was good close to sea. Grace very kindly left in some things for breakfast as we arrived late and it was appreciated. Pavilion had everything we needed for our stay.

Grace and David were such lovely hosts! We really enjoyed our stay at the Pavilion. To say it was comfortable is a massive understatement--one or the best beds I've ever slept on! Normally I'm eager to get back to my own bed after a holiday, but I slept better here than I do at home most of the time. Shorncliffe is such a lovely area and their whole property is just such a perfect representation of classic Queenslander beauty. The spa was very relaxing, and we greatly enjoyed our breakfasts out on the verandah amongst the greenery, listening to the birds chirping. Both Grace and David are extremely talented artists, so I definitely recommend taking a look at their gallery in the main house! They are also experts about the local area and gave us some great recommendations for things to do and see. All in all, this was one of the best Airbnb stays we've ever had, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to stay here again!

The pavilion is a quiet retreat two blocks from the Shorncliffe pier and bayside promenade. Perfect location for walking and biking and sunset views. The pavilion was well equipped for cooking, outdoor deck time, and restful relaxation and sleep. The hosts were very accommodating, picking me up from the train when I arrived in the rain. Enjoyed talking with the hosts about their art and living with it in the pavilion. Wonderful residential beach town with historic story. I highly recommend.

Grace and David were extremely welcoming and very understanding when we arrived with a little medical emergency.The property was perfect for our stay with everything you need and very private from the main house , we were hardly aware anybody else was there. A good location for both the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast but we most enjoyed the local communities which gave an authentic flavour of Australian life which was very attractive.

We were made to feel very welcome, the unit is lovely and self contained with everything you need for your stay. It is out the back of the property and was quiet and had it's own access. The bed was really comfortable and the air-conditioning worked wonders in the heat of the day. The wifi was consistent and it was nice to have foxtel to watch was well. Overall we had a lovely experience and will definitely look to stay when we are back in Brisbane again.

Paradise cottage was a great spacious and private 2 bedroom cottage. The cottage had all the facilities to suit our little family with hosts Helen and Neil providing a great service with nothing being too much trouble. Very highly recommended we will be returning to the cottage next time we are in Brisbane.

Paradise Cottage is a perfect 'home away from home'. We stayed for four nights and were very comfortable. If you are looking for a place to call home within easy reach of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast this is the place for you.

All was good, with all requirements catered for. Neighbourhood was really nice and quiet, close to yummy coffee shops as well. Good to be able to have our cat stay as well, big plus......

The perfect place to stay when visiting the area. The cottage was closely situated to the sea, the shops and the railway station which has the main line to Brisbane city. Everything you could possibly think that you'd need in the home, was available for use in the cottage. We found the information booklets, leaflets and maps most useful and found ourselves feeling completely at home in this really beautiful house. The trees and foliage which surround the cottage not only gives complete privacy but also a home for the many birds which gave us lots of joy to watch. Our hosts were very friendly and always there to help if needed.

Perfect for our visit .

Paradise Cottage is a beautiful little oasis hidden only a short walk from the amazing waterfronts of Brighton. The cottage was surrounded by lush tropical gardens which give you exclusive privacy, a wonderful sun deck for those cooler days or easily converted to fully functional barbecue area in the summer. From the beautifully polished floorboards, to the ultra modern kitchen and free wireless Internet, this property had everything that I required for my week long stay in Brisbane. Commuting from the cottage to the airport is only a few minutes drive, with the Brisbane city taking no more than 15 minutes in your vehicle. Very comfortable beds, which is something I give extra points for, ensured I has brilliant sleeps in this tropical paradise cottage. I would highly recommend this property to anyone, as I have done so with my family and friends already. My stay was made even more homely by the wonderful host Helen, whom provided anything and everything that I requested - going above and beyond and giving such great hospitality leading up to my stay - which made my transition from my home city to hers such a smooth one. Highly, and I cannot stress that enough, recommended. Thank you again Helen, and I look forward to returning on my next visit.

Paradise Cottage was definitely a home away from home. It was very clean & wonderfully inviting! The outdoor area a great place to sit & relax. It has lots of room, beautiful breezes & Helen was terrific to deal with. All in all a big thumbs up!

On arrival I was greeted by Hanlie, I instantly felt at ease and very comfortable, she showed me around the property and explained everything to a T! Both Hanlie and Coenraad are generous people and forthcoming in local information and handy tips, they even asked me to stay for a family bbq!! The room was spacious, light and airy, very clean and the bedding, super comfy!! Amenities were also very clean and tidy! The house is very secure and quiet with adjacent parkland. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again at all, it had everything I needed in a weekend stay without the expense! Thank you Hanlie and Coenraad!

Hanlie and Coenraad were amazing hosts, even though we spent a lot of time exploring Brisbane (which you can easily reach by bus) we really enjoyed the time and talks we had with them. From the time we arrived they made us feel like we're at home, couldn't have asked for better hosts and accommodation. Everything was clean and the house and furniture were super nice. Wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights! Thank you so much again Hanlie and Coenraad, hopefully we will see each other again one day!

It was a great stay at hanlie and coenraad house. Just perfect for a family with young Kids. They have a great Garden and the room was very clean and cosy :-) the area around is very nice and we went to a nice Beach on a bike. It was just a 10 min. ride. It is also really easy to go downtown Brisbane. You just have to catch a bus and drive about 30-40 min. The busstop is right next to the house and you can get off in Queen street, which is in the middle of the city center. We can really recommend to stay here.

We had great conversations and felt like home. There was the possibility of the piano and the bikes zubenutzen, which I found very nice. By bicycle we could explore more in less time. the offer to bring us also to the airport we found really great because we thereby save some. This is an awesome little spot conveniently located across from a park and local swimming pool and of course Sandgate beach. The place is lovely & quaint with great sized rooms and a new bathroom. Unfortunately the oven wasn't working while we were there which given was Christmas was reasonably inconvenient. Trevor & Cheryl were lovely and offered for us to cook things in their cafe down stairs but I actually felt a bit uncomfortable to do that. I believe the problem will be fixed soon. Other than that the place is great, a little less suited to toddlers as the stairs at the back are a little steep, but luckily there is a security door that can be locked to keep them inside :) Trevor & Cheryl are beyond accomodating & available most of the time. They live next door so are only too willing to help should you need.

Nice place, hosts were great! Do be aware that this place isn't really for you if you're scared of big dogs though.

We came to Brisbane for a work trip - it was an easy walking distance to the train station. The stay was very spacious, extremely well equipped and nice and clean. We stayed with two small children, and were very happy to see a couple of baskets of toys for the kids to play with - thanks very much. The only downside (and only a small one) is that there was a bit of noise from upstairs with the kids running around - but our kids are noisy, too, so we weren't too bothered. It was excellent value, and we'd certainly stay again.

Allowed an earlier check in as we got into Brisbane real early, great clean, spacious house. Would stay here again for sure.

Karla was very wecolming. She allowed us early access to the apartment which was as per its description. It was a nice quite community & had local shops close by.

Our trip to Deagon was really lovely. The flat was very spacious and clean on arrival and the bed rooms were really smartly furnished. We were impressed by the facilities in the kitchen.

Karla was very accommodating and the place was perfect for my needs. Nearby Sandgate also provided a few delightful surprises with some quirky boutiques and cafes/bars
