This was a great little cabin, very comfortable. Everywhere you might have a question, there was a little note with details and information. For example, this was our first time with a Franklin stove. We gave it a try because the weather was chilly. It was a pleasure to follow the straightforward directions which made it an easy experience. Location was great for beach walking and getting into town. Overall we'd go back without hesitation.

Mary's place is beautiful and exactly as described. The water view from the home is beautiful and the pictures really don't do it justice!! We unfortunately had terrible weather while we were there so couldn't enjoy the outdoors-y things around the area as much as we could. But it gave us an excuse to utilize the fireplace which was really nice. We ran into a little ant problem while there but it was likely due to the weather and Mary was SO very accommodating, responsive and helped us through it. She also helped with other activities to do during the inclement weather. We went to a nearby spa and had a fermented cedar bath, which was really relaxing. If the place is this nice during bad weather, I can't imagine how it would be normally! I hope to come back and experience it again. Oh, and her homemade granola was everything.

This was our first time in Bodega Bay and now that we've stayed at Knixs cabin, it won't be our last! The cottage was even better in person! Very cozy, rustic and had all the amenities you would need. The coffee, berries, granola and almonds were so yummy! Mary (our host) was so responsive and easy to contact. Can't wait to return :)! Staying at Knixs Cabin was a pure delight. The interior is warm, clean and inviting. Granola, coffee and fresh strawberries were awaiting our arrival. The landscape was immaculate yet wild and there are beautiful views of the water. It is a short walk to the beach and Mary was very informative of local hikes nearby- she even left an article in the local newspaper informing us of recent whale migrations. I could not recommend this place more. Bodega Bay was already a favorite destination and now with Knixs Cabin it makes it that much more special.

This house overlooking a spectacular sandy beach of many miles made us feel like we were using our best friend's house by the sea. So homey and comfortable. Obviously, Mary lives in this house and it is very pleasant to feel that you have access to all of her amenities (kitchen equipment, CDs) without the feeling that you are intruding. Bodega Bay village (2 miles from the house) in itself is not a highlight but a good base to explore a wider area. Highly recommended.

The place was absolutely perfect! I had such an amazing time exploring Bodega Bay and having this cabin as my home base. Our "mini-moon" at Mary's cabin was fantastic! My husband and I loved Bodega Bay and the cabin - a charmingly relaxing beach cottage - just a 5 minute walk down to the beach. A perfectly simple otherworldly way to escape the city for our honeymoon. We never wanted to leave and plan to go back! Carly was a great host, they are a large campground, dude ranch and rooms to let, so she was busy host, but she took time to explain and offer assistance with out arrival. The room had an even better ocean view than shown on their page. It was truly exceptional. A well appointed room, great bathroom and killer ocean view made for a great getaway. Will come back for sure!

This was a great place to stay! The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The view and deck were incredible and the location was quiet, but convenient to the little shops and restuarants in the area. Bodega bay is a cute little town with a great location right by the coast. And the bay itself is beautiful. We saw Otters playing in the bay. We had a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the games in the house every evening. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nan's place was wonderful. Even better than I expected. It was well stocked with everything that we could possibly have needed and more. My kids loved the ping pong table in the garage and made good use of the shelf full of board games. On Nan's advice we went and checked out the marine biology tour over at the UC-Davis campus and it turned out to be my 15 year old daughter's favorite part of our entire vacation. We all loved our stay here and can't recommend it enough.

Nan was a perfect host: Super-nice and a great communicator — She even let us check in a little bit early (which was much appreciated after a long flight). The house is clean and comfy and has the BEST VIEW of the bay. And most importantly, Nan has a "HOLY-COW-please-don't-make-me-ever-have-to-leave-here" MOST COMFORTABLE BED!!! Nan was and is the perfect host to her home! Although we didn't manage to meet face-to-face, I feel like I know her. The house was even better in person than in the photos! My five-day stay was amazing: relaxing, comfortable, perfect views, great beds, awesome fireplace, peaceful walks in the rain, ocean within minutes, neighborhood quiet, frogs croaking during the rain, birds singing and cooing, and so much more. Nancy's place is awesome! We had such a pleasant time staying there for the weekend, it was clean and well-decorated. We felt very relaxed and peaceful the entire time we were there. The place is located nearby all the main attraction in Bodega Bay makes it really easy to go for hike in Bodega Head or grab a bite at Spud Point. Highly recommended!

We truly enjoyed our time at Harbor Cuite. Jodie is a wonderful hostess and everything ran very smoothly. I would definitely stay here again. It is very family and kid friendly. Our stay at Harbor Cutie was very enjoyable and care free. The place is exactly as described, was roomy enough to accommodate 6 people with lots of space and comfort for everyone. Kitchen is fully equipped and stocked very well with everything you might need at home away from home. Jodie is an excellent host, very accommodating, was super quick to respond to every question we had and very resourceful. She provided us with excellent local references on what to do and where to eat in the area before our arrival so planning activities was easy. We loved the setting on the bay - beautiful sunsets, the basketball hoop got endless use by 14-year-old, swing set by toddlers, swing by Gramma (beautiful weather), and the well-stocked kitchen was great!

Jodie was the perfect host, very accommodating. The house and location were ideal. We loved walking across the street to the Bay. The backyard backs up to lots of beautiful trees and the whole setting is relaxing and secluded. I highly recommend the Harbor Cutie.

The views and location are much better than any local hotel: you are in the center of an exquisite valley, with the ocean roaring and birds singing virtually outside the door. The home has a great vibe. Sweet family. Very clean.

We were coming in when it was stormy and cloudy and Melissa helped us by being quick and responsive. The location itself is right across from the water, within a 30-second walk of an incredible view of the cliffs.

A very quiet little spot by the ocean to take a rest. Melissa was very welcoming and our son loved playing with her little daughter. This was perfect on our road trip to have a quiet evening and enjoy the sound of crashing waves and wake up with the most splendid view.

We had a great bottle of wine, coffee, and drinking water left for us. They even made up the futon for our girls weekend and provided wood for a fire- so nice! The house was clean, the beds were beautifully made up and even though the house's layout was a little funky, it accommodated 5 of us ladies quite comfortably. The house was quiet, view spectacular, and the neighborhood safe - a lovely lovely weekend!!

What a beautiful house! It was so clean and ready for our stay. The little personal notes were so appreciated. The pictures are perfectly accurate. We would stay again in a minute. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The only suggestion I have is to have a cheap pad of paper available on the table. We came from Nebraska and could not shop for groceries before we arrived. I couldn't find anything to write on to create a grocery list and of course, I forgot to bring one! It's really our lack of planning--but this was our first time doing such a thing and really didn't know what was provided and what the "customer" needed to bring!

Great house - perfect for our large family. Plenty of sunlight and great ocean views. The beach is an easy walk from the house and town is a short drive. There are plenty of toys, games, videos and books, so don't feel obligated to pack huge bags to keep the kids busy. Internet was reliable and fast. The downstairs was cooler than upstairs (or the upstairs was hotter than the downstairs), but it was always comfortable. Plenty of welcoming touches to include fresh eggs in the fridge and a bottle of wine. I would recommend

We had timely and helpful information from Mary Jill on booking and before arriving at Sojourn. Through many personal touches including a book to leave comments, the comfortable furnishings and decor, I felt we were treated as an extension of family.

Staying at Sojourn at the Sea was nothing short of a magical experience. The house is perfect for a peaceful weekend with friends, the floor plan is open, the living room has enough sitting space for everyone, and the back porch, oh the back porch. It runs the length of the house and is equipped with a picnic table and Adirondack chairs. When you walk out the door onto the deck, you’re greeted with the fresh smell of the sea, a beautiful breeze, and a view that will take your breath away. If you’d rather stay inside, windows run the length of the house, and there is a big cushy chair facing out towards the ocean. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and farm fresh eggs in the fridge. There is also a fire place and we were delighted to find the fireplace already prepped, so that we lit the match and within seconds a wonderful fire was crackling. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat to enjoy the ocean with the people you love, I highly recommend Soujourn at the Sea.

Awesome views, great house! We walked down to the beach and it was really nice. Even saw a whale! We took the coastal prairie trail (a block from the house) to dinner at the Mexican restaurant. When we came back we enjoyed a nice fire in the living room. I would definitely recommend this place!

Pringl was great--very responsive to my inquiries. Her home was lovely and accurately reflected the photos on Air BnB. The kitchen was well stocked, there were lots of comfy blankets in the living area, the master bed was comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring the beaches at Bodega Bay. A great spot!

An AMAZING EXPERIENCE - AQUENE is one of those once in a life time experience everyone must try. It's is romantic, serene, and surreal. I highly recommend this place. Pring is a great host which makes the experience all the better!!

We had a great stay at this lovely house. We were there with our two boys (11 and 13). The house accommodates older kids, but probably is not a great fit for families with young children. The loft, for example, is clearly not suitable for young ones. The setting on the dunes by the ocean is stunning, offering lots of opportunities for walking and exploring. The house is clean and well kept. Note the absence of wifi and washer/dryer. We viewed the absence of wifi as a net plus, forcing us to unplug for the week. All in all, we would highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience. It was very peaceful and romantic. Beyond beautiful and a place we feel lucky to have spent precious time together. It's a special home, stunning views, comfortable and cozy, great kitchen for cooking. We can't wait to return.

Upon the moment of driving up to Aquene, you know you are in for a treat. Pringle makes it very easy to access this quiet and relaxing getaway. The numerous windows provide for a feeling of 360 degrees of views including that of the ocean. The house is very tastefully decorated (we all loved the art) and is designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. A small group of friends and I rented this house for a weekend getaway. Even through we had torrential down pours and flooding on the roads to get here, it was provided just the right place to cozy up by the fire and watch the rain. We look forward to coming back when the sun is out as well to enjoy the outdoor patio and walks through the sand dunes to the beach. Thanks Pringle for making it so welcoming and comfortable.

Amazing home perched on top of the dunes - the house is absolutely lovely and the views and light are incredible. There are no window coverings so it is quite bright as she mentions definitely bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep in . Kitchen is well stocked , comfy beds and furnishings, hooks only to hang clothes.

A warm comfortable well equipped home in bodega bay allowed us to explore the region mostly on foot. It was very clean and cosy and Pam was available for any queries.

The location was perfect. Easy walk along the sand dunes to the beach or to the Bay. You can go on longer hikes / walks a short car right away and see the gorgeous CA coastline. The deck and views were amazing. It was a incredibly relaxing, sweet, cozy, and quiet place to stay. There are lots of super yummy restaurants to choose from close by or you can bring groceries to cook. It exceeded our expectations! Also the host made it super easy to check in and check out. My husband and I loved the place and we're going to come back! :)

The house was very clean, beautiful, and had most of the necessities (plenty of bath towels, beach towels, cooking pans/pots, mugs/glasses, simple cooking ingredients). The TV was large and the couch was comfy. I liked the bed, however my boyfriend did not sleep that well on it. You can see the Bodega Harbor from the porch, which was awesome. There were a few restaurants within a mile from the place, one coffee shop, and a couple of markets. The beach was a quick drive north. Overall a lovely experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mermaid Cove and loved how she decorated the rooms. View was nice of Bodega Bay. Peaceful neighborhood.

This place is VERY nice. It is spotlessly clean. The view is so beautiful. The house is just like the pictures but it feels much roomier, we were surprised by how big it is. Every room is stylishly decorated and thoughtfully supplied. The kitchen is well stocked and easily navigated, we cooked a lot during our stay and found it had everything we needed. This place is truly a gem, I highly recommend staying here.

Couldn't have imagined a better stay or better hosts! The listing is just as promised and Cheryl and Hobart are two of the nicest people my wife and I have ever met. Even their dog Hope will make your stay great. We have no intentions of ever returning to Bodega Bay and staying anywhere other than here!

Hobart met us right away at the lovely Oceanfront Home. He and Cheryl made us feel at home with choice of wine and a cheese platter. Views of the ocean were spectacular -- the BEST in Bodega Bay! Our room was comfortable and neat. Hallway bath was large, clean and private for us. Hobart and Cheryl really topped things off with breakfast cuisine -- homemade and delicious! Highly recommend!

Cheryl & Hobart were star hosts and their home was a true oasis of wild beauty, warmth and serenity. A magical place! We felt at home right away, and blissed out in the hot tub looking over a ranch, by the fire pit overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and even splashed in the waves the next morning after homemade breakfast (quiche and fruit, yum) set up by Cheryl and Hobart. I had been hesitant initially to spend a weekend retreat in a shared home (we booked their upstairs room), but these are *fantastic* people to share home with. Fun, relaxed, generous, and gave us a great blend of space and friendly convo. Honestly, the photos don't do justice to the beauty of their home and the wild beauty of the ocean right below the balcony. You will feel soaked in nature and peace.

What a fantastic experience this was. The location of the home is wonderfully nestled between rolling hills of farmland and the endless views of the ocean. It was truly beautiful. Add to that a fire pit, hot tub, and plenty of space to get cozy, and it's hard not to have a wonderful time. Cheryl and Hobart were warm and inviting- greeting us with friendly chit chat, a cheese plate, and wine. The next morning Cheryl whipped up some awesome omelettes and fresh fruit. She was attentive and took care of our diet restrictions. I definitely look forward to returning, as this was the perfect weekend getaway.

It was wonderful staying at Cheryl and Hobart's house. The house literally overlooks the ocean for a view you can't beat. We got to enjoy the fire pit and even watched the Giants playoff game together along with wine and cheese. It was a great quick escape and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great weekend retreat.

What can one say about the location which is high above the beach near Bodega Bay? Fabulous! What can you say about the welcome provided by Cheryl and Hobart which includes wine and snacks and much laughing? Beyond category! Oh, did I mention the hot tub? No, so what temperature would you like? What a gift to experience this great place with such extraordinary people as these. It was while staying here that I was made aware of some deeply disturbing news about the death of a close friend, my host and hostess supported me in an hour of need AND served a terrific quiche for breakfast! I can't wait to return for another stay with them.

A slice of heaven! My girlfriend and I arrived in the early evening, and Cheryl and Hobart greeted us with a warm welcome, wine and cheese on the back deck, a stunning view right above the coast, and an amazing sunset. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat in town, and after dinner we relaxed in the hot tub underneath the stars, with the waves crashing in the distance. In the morning we were treated to a delicious home cooked breakfast before heading to the beach. Before we left, they gave us great tips and maps of wineries in Sonoma, which set us up for a fantastic day in wine country. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Cheryl and Hobart make you feel like old friends right when you get there. We only stayed one night, but it was hard saying bye to them!

It's an amazing place. The nature around and the view are magic...really I never saw that! Horses, cows, cat, dog...We really enjoyed! The bedroom is classic, no surprise...but i recommande the stay.

Michelle and Merlin were great hosts and put a lot of effort into making my stay a perfect experience in light of my lack of being prepared. The house is very clean and they left out breakfast food, which is was on expecting. The in-law apartment is very large (2 bdr), with lots of light and extra space. Bodega Bay itself is beautiful and a restful place. I plan to return next year and do some hiking and sailing. There is a delightful Mexican Restaurant at the end of the road, that I would strongly recommend. The pets at the house are friendly too!

Our group of girls loved our stay at Monika's so much! Such a delightful home – beautifully decorated, very clean, all the amenities you could want including a hot tub. Monika was a greater communicator and got back to me quickly with any questions prior to the trip and the flexible check in was very nice. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay there again.

We had a lovely stay in mid October with 3 families including 2 preschoolers and 2 babies. The house is gorgeous with big windows overlooking the bay. The living room, dining area and kitchen are open concept so it's easy to socialize while cooking. The beds were super comfortable. The gas fireplace worked great to warm the whole house and nice space heaters were provided in the individual rooms if we needed heat once the doors were closed. The hot tub was very clean and private. The furnishings were tasteful and high quality. The WiFi worked great. I would recommend erring on the side of bringing less common kitchen supplies (like a zester). It was nice to have the cottage available when someone needed some extra space or if we wanted to set the kids up with a movie away from the common space. Communication with the owner and vacation rental company were seamless. We would absolutely stay in this beautiful home again!

If fact, I think it's better in person. Everything is updated and well equipped for a nice family stay. Spacious bedrooms, family room, and kitchen. Loved the fire pit and hot tub.
