Attractive, rural, self-contained barn annexe (whole house) with double bedroom. Local towns of Sleaford, Boston, Grantham, Lincoln and Newark easily accessible. Very quiet and peaceful location just outside the popular village of Helpringham, with general store/PO and Pub just a 10 minute stroll. Country walks out from the property. Tea and coffee provided. Lounge (with electric wood burner), shower room and well equipped kitchen area for self-catering.
  • A lovely space away from home, the directions given by Jo and Andy helped us immensely as satnav would have sent us to the middle of no where. A warm welcome after a long drive, gave us a tour of the cottage and said we could speak to them if anything else was needed. The cottage was warm, clean, well decorated and lots of little extras (we cooked and all utensils were there and there were also board games). Would recommend here to anyone wanting a little break away

  • Amazing stay, in the most beautiful surroundings. Travelled up for a funeral, but staying here cheered us up. They were very quick in replying to messages and were very accommodating in allowing us to stay with our 12 week old baby. Thanks again Jo and Andy.

We have a spacious private annexe complete with your own bathroom, bedroom and lounge with tv dvd and a huge range of films on offer in our quiet family home. If its peace and quiet you're looking for, thats exactly what you'll have. It is an extremely quiet area.
Guests can enjoy the privacy of an entire annexe with an adjoining arched door so can shut themselves away whenever they want their own time. There is TV and dvd available in the annexe with a vast array of dvd movies. You have your own bedroom and bathroom too.
What we love about our neighbourhood is the peace and tranquility and although we live in what was the biggest village in the UK, it has every kind of amenity you will need. There is also ample parking space outside our house.
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my one day stay at Jan and Ian’s place. You cannot go wrong. They are extremely accommodating and extremely kind and considerate human beings. The room was very stylishly furnished. It was nice and warm while it was very cold outside. Shower was wonderful to use at the end of the day, and I wasn’t cold when I got out of the shower, as even the bathroom was nicely heated. Lots of wonderful touches, and it was very nice to get to know Jan.

  • Jan and Ian are so welcoming and their home is lovely. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay.

    Joanne2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Jan and Ian’s property. The annex is spacious, very clean with a most comfortable bed.

    Melanie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • My last visit for the present, and once again I was greeted with excellent hospitality, flexibility (I ended up arriving earlier than the check in time and was accomodated for wonderfully) and an all round excellent place to stay.

    Patrick2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay as always. It's been a few weeks since my last visit, and in that time they've modernised the bedroom so that there is now a lot more space, both sides of the bed are easily accessible, and the room has a much more light and airy feel. I wish I could reflect that in the review score but since it was already a five star stay that's pretty tough to do.

    Patrick2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little spot! Great little annex, felt very at home and would certainly come back.

    Hugh2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Only a brief one night stayover this time, but the hospitality was still excellent.

    Patrick2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jan and Ian provide one of the best experiences that I had on Airbnb. They are extremely welcoming, friendly and kind, and the conditions are excellent. I will definitely stay again with this lovely family whenever I am visiting the area and will recommend to friends.

The main space for guests will be the bedroom with double bed and Smart TV (catch up channels only) and DVD player. 90% of the time guests will have their own bathroom across the hall with a shower and whirlpool bath. Modern decorated bedroom, plenty of space, large private bathroom/toilet/electric shaver point. New high pressure shower. Also a selection of teas, coffee, bottled water, tissues and dressing gowns for your comfort. Bottled water and milk in bedroom refrigerator. New HD 32in Tv. Situated in a quiet residential area in a small market town of Sleaford approx. 30min by car from the beautiful City of Lincoln.
We are a short car ride from The Petwood Hotel where the famous Dam Busters was planned. While in the area visit the amazing Kinema in the Woods still with its original architecture and enjoy the owner playing the organ during an interval. The famous Boston stump is a short car ride away, you can visit the museum where the Pilgrim Fathers were imprisoned. Unfortunately space does not let me tell you about the many other interesting places in our area. Sleaford also benefits from the "The Hub" which is an education converted grain store, complete with refreshment facilities.
Lincolnshire is normally thought of being very flat but we do have the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, this is an hilly area of natural beauty also discover our beautiful villages along the way. Why not visit our Museum in Sleaford, this may only be small but is packed with amazing information about Sleaford and the surrounding area.

    Denise2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Darren's house for the weekend for a family group of 6. Darren was very quick in replying to my questions. Plenty of room for all of us. En-suite bathroom, family bathroom and downstairs toilet meant no queuing for the bathroom. Lovely big kitchen with breakfast bar. Dining table for 6 in open plan lounge. We visited in February and were lovely and warm in this centrally heated house. Very quiet and peaceful location but not far from Lincoln or Grantham. Plenty of space at front of house to park two cars. Thank you very much.

Luxury self-catering accommodation on the border of the Lincolnshire limestone heath and the Witham valley. Centrally located at the heart of rural Lincolnshire, and only 15 minutes drive from The city of Lincoln. The Granary is a beautifully converted Lincolnshire barn, bursting with character and the perfect location from which to explore this historic county. Situated on the very edge of the rural village of Digby, the Granary forms one side of the original yard and stables.
Sympathetic conversion of The Granary has resulted in a light and spacious holiday let with plenty of room to relax and unwind. The high quality fixtures and fittings, including antique furniture and fine artwork, combine with the original building fabric to create an atmosphere which is both luxurious and relaxing. Ground Floor The ground floor consists of a semi open-plan kitchen and lounge area with underfloor heating and fossil stone floors throughout. There is also a separate storage room and WC. Lounge The lounge is cosy and inviting with a big comfy sofa and soft yellow cushion. The dimmable chandelier and Retro side lamps produce a warm glow and the wood-burning stove creates a focal point for snug evenings and lazy afternoons. A TV/DVD/CD and a wide selction of games and books will prevent boredom creeping in on even the wettest of days. French windows lead onto the guest's private patio with views across the open countryside Kitchen Spacious and modern but retaining many original features, the kitchen is clean and light with everything you could need for your time at The Granary. It is well equipped with a fridge and seperate freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, oven, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. Exposed beams, a large round table, dimmable lights and antique chairs will make mealtimes a memorable feature of your holiday. The original granary stone steps have been restored and lead off the kitchen to the first floor. First Floor With exposed beams and open ceilings to the ridgeline, the bedroom and bathroom take you back in time to when they were used to store the farm's grain. We have retained the original floor plan and as many as possible of the quirky hooks and pegs that adorn the beams. Bedroom The generously proportioned bedroom has been furnished with a mixture of contemporary solid wood furniture and antique pieces. A romantic crystal chandelier takes pride of place in the roof void and combined with the high quality bed linens and fluffy white bathrobes makes bedtime a pleasure. The bedroom has a king-sized bed and a cot can be arranged in advance. Because it is not possible to install a stairgate we believe the Granary is really only suitable for babes in arm; from experience we know how fast crawlers and toddlers can move! The sky light is fitted with blackout blinds to make sure that early mornings can be late mornings. Bathroom Probably the most indulgent space in the house, this is a room for pampering and relaxation. Pride of place goes to the large copper bath which takes some time to run but is worth it in the end! Other fixtures include a wash basin, heated towel rail, spacious shower, WC and shaving point. Another dimmable crystal chandelier adds to the WOW factor. Large fluffy towels, dressing gowns and a selection of quality toiletries are included. Exterior Accessible from the lounge and parking area, the garden consists of a stone terrace and gravel area with raised beds and a wooden table and chairs. To the east the garden overlooks our large pond and mature trees, to the north there are views over the countryside to the spire of the neighbouring village. A herb and vegetable garden is available for guest's consumption according to the seasons. Pets Well behaved dogs are welcome but owners are asked to keep them off the furniture and ensure they are supervised at all times. Pets must not be left unattended for any length of time in either the house or garden. An outside hose and a couple of dog towels are provided just in case! Owners should bring their own bowls, bedding etc. The garden is enclosed by a picket fence but guests are welcome to walk their animal on a lead within the grounds. Please be aware that we have horses nearby which makes keeping your dog on a lead essential. Parking There is a generous allocated parking spot immediately adjacent to the property and within the Manor House gates.
Sample the delights.... Although maybe best known for our famous east coast resorts of Skegness, Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe, with their beautiful sandy beaches and 'kiss-me-quick' delights, Lincolnshire offers a multitude of lesser known but equally impressive attractions to suit all tastes. • What a lovely retreat- we stayed for the weekend to get some downtime and couldn’t have asked for friendlier hosts. Great communication, place is immaculate and full of information and lovely little touches, can imagine the summer would be just as beautiful as the winter! Great little gem close to Lincoln and everything you need - thanks for a lovely stay x

  • A great weekend getaway. The cottage is really spacious and clean. Becca and her husband were lovely hosts, the little touches were much appreciated.

    Kiran2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place for a romantic weekend away for our anniversary. The granary is beautiful, well equipped with everything you could want and in a very peaceful setting. We particularly enjoyed the large bath tub (once I figured out how to use it), the log fire and the little extras that had been left for us. Becca was very helpful and friendly at check-in... including helping us work the heating (thanks, it stayed on fine). Martin was also lovely when we checked out. I highly recommend staying here!

    Bethan2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Just wow! For a start, great as they are, the pictures really don’t do The Granary full justice - it’s a gorgeous, luxurious base. To wake up under ancient wooden beams and a chandelier is quite something. And that bath . . . Lovely views from the property and just a great place to relax. Becca’s family are so welcoming and were full of suggestions for places to visit. We particularly liked Woodhall Spa, and if you get to Lincoln you *must* eat at Jews House restaurant - outstanding food. We definitely aim to return.

    Ian2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Two of us (plus a puppy) spent 3 nights at The Granary and I would recommend it to anyone that is after a relaxing a peaceful getaway. The place itself was amazing and spotlessly clean. The space out side was a perfect place for a BBQ and the living space inside was perfect. We will definitely be back again in the future.

  • I can’t recommend Jenny’s place highly enough. The accommodation is beautiful, well designed and luxurious. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Jenny and her father-in-law gave us a great welcome and helped us settle in with lots of helpful information. The welcome basket of plum bread, milk and eggs was an absolute treat and a really thoughtful personal touch. So tasty!! The hot tub was absolutely divine!! I could easily have spent our entire stay in there if I were able to! The location of the barn is about 30 mins out of Lincoln. We enjoyed driving around the country lanes and exploring the nearby villages. It was a lovely setting and all added to the feel of the trip for us. All in all we absolutely loved staying here and really hope to be able to return again. Thanks Jenny and family :)

  • This place is amazing! From all the little touches of the eggs and bread to the hot tub and log burner- perfect for a relaxing break!

  • Only able to echo the thoughts of those before us. What a wonderful place this is. Stylish. Peaceful. Calming. Well looked after. Love the tub. Love the bath. The area. The walks. The hosts. The bed super comfy and dark to get great sleep whatever time of day or night. Such a fan.

    Steve2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place to stay. Feels like a home from home. Stylish and all the little touches thought of from luxury toiletries available, a little hamper of essentials, fresh flowers and the wood fired hot tub lit ready for us to arrive and use immediately. Jenny was a lovely host; quick communication, so welcoming, and provided us with some great recommendations for places to eat nearby. Thank you for a beautiful stay and we’re already trying to find reasons to come back!

    Vicky2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • We are home after an amazing weekend of hibernating! This place is absolutely amazing, so cosy. Thank you to Jenny for allowing us to check in early & then sorting us a lighter out for the log burner (although we still needed David to come and light it for us - we failed lol).. the whole place is decorated beautifully and very comfortable & everyone made us feel so welcome! Thanks David for making sure the hot tub was sorted for us and for lighting the log burner - you made it look so easy! We went for a little walk but it was foggy so we couldn’t see much but I’m sure behind the fog it was beautiful! We have already been recommending it to family and friends and we will 100% be back! Thank you again for an amazing chilled weekend x

  • This is a great place to stay. Lots of character but modern too and toasty warm despite there being quite a large living space. Wayne kept us well informed when his plans changed, not intrusive but there if we needed anything.

  • You can expect above and beyond! You can expect an extremely comfortable bed, silence, dark.... a descent nights sleep! The room and bed are lovely and Pamela is SO accommodating! It truly feels like a home from home. If you're staying in Lincoln and you're looking for somewhere that's comfortable this is the place! And because it's on the outskirts of the city centre, you can easily commute in or around the city :)

    Marsha2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Pamela is so thoughtful and it's a lovely place to stay

    Marsha2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended accommodation which is homely and very comfortable. Pamela the hostess made sure we enjoyed our stay with the little chats we had getting to know each other. We normally don't book a place with a shared bathroom but any apprehensions we might have had at Pamela's place were blown away with her awareness of any use we had for that facility and her attention to how clean and tidy it was kept. We had no problems at all using the wet room facility, finding it even more convenient than our shower over bath at home. Breakfast was truly enjoyable each day of our two day stay , setting us up for our forays into Lincoln which can easily be reached in twenty minutes or so by bus if you prefer to leave your car parked at the premises.

Will and Paula are excellent and welcoming hosts and the barn was a beautiful base for our holiday. The welcome goodie basket was a much-appreciated touch, and everything was sparkling clean and well-appointed. Would strongly recommend!

    Melanie2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Well this place has been kitted out in high quality fixtures and fittings - such an added bonus when you’re expecting things to be just practical. It’s a stunning setting and there are horses stabled on site so this definitely provided our son with some extra entertainment! As I said, the quality of the barn and the amenities available there were outstanding. Paula evidently has good taste! A lovely place to base yourself to explore Lincolnshire. Also, a wonderfully generous welcome basket on arrival and toiletries too!

  • EXCEPTIONAL! The communication from the day I booked has been outstanding. Unfortunately during my stay which was for work I had a few issues and required an extra day, within seconds my stay was extended and any time I had a query I felt like I had known Sarah for years the way she dealt with it. The property was as advertised and more. Such a clean beautiful room. This is perfect for someone like myself as a professional needing some privacy and a home for the week but I would happily stay here for a short break as the location is beautiful. Honestly due to the host and the room I could not recommend this property enough and I will be booking every single time I need somewhere to stay in this area!

    Luke2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place with such character and Sarah was a great host! Thank you

  • Excellent privacy, very comfortable, will be staying here again in the future, Sarah was at hand if needed, wonderful to get on and enjoy my trip, without having to worry about having a lay in or disturbing anyone over the duration of our visit.

    Alexis2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Sarah’s place for a friend, here is her review: Address was easy to find, apartment was clean and nicely maintained. Instructions were clear and host was helpful. Could do with tea and coffee in the room as I'm not a hot chocolate drinker and I didn't have enough time to contact host in the morning to get coffee. Could have helped to have been warned that work is going on at the property instead of being woken up by noise from workmen in the morning. In all, pleasant stay at the property. Would book again.

  • We really enjoyed our time at The Loft. The place itself is very private and beautifully decorated and contains everything you need. The added touches such as breakfast cereals and all kinds of tea really added to the place. What we liked the most was the location. Within 45-50 minutes you can be in Lincoln, Boston or Skegness, where there is plenty to do - almost too much to fit in a few days! We're already looking forward to booking our next visit!

    Blair2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • A fantastic little two bed house which was warm, comfortable and sparkling clean, perfect for a couple with two children (both under 10). Access is great and the bedrooms were both very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were incredibly clean, as was the whole house. The kitchen had lovely space for cooking and eating. The kitchen was very well kitted out and had everything you could need to cook and eat with. There were even a few little bits like a handful of tea bags and sugar (but we’d brought our own in case). Both rooms had double beds which were very comfortable. The living room was warm and comfortable, and they had a selection of games to play which we enjoyed greatly - a very nice touch. The decor was lovely and had some nice little bits which made the house seem warm and homely, not empty. The communication was absolutely perfect, and the price was brilliant. Thank you very much. If you’re looking - don’t hesitate to book quick!

Their room and the whole house was very clean. A rich breakfast was provided and timed as it was suitable for the plans of the day (early on the last day). Malcolm and Sandra's place is in a nice neighbourhood with a bus stop with good services just a couple of minutes walk away. Little supermarket and local pub around the corner as well. Highly recommend this lovely home away from home.

  • Had a lovely stay in this outstanding home. Very easy to communicate and arrange a late arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. I had a great nights sleep and will definetly be using again in the future. Thank you for making my stay easy and stress free.

  • A warm and hospitable welcome awaits you! The room is lovely, clean and spacious! I didn't want to get out of bed on my first day because it was sooooo comfortable. And Fizz the boxer is adorable!

Rowston is a small farming village , south of the historic city of Lincoln. Sleaford, Newark and Grantham are all easily within half an hour by car. You’ll love my place because it is a very old cottage, recently re-equipped (including a dishwasher). It is near, but separate from, my own house, and has its own garden. The cottage is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and small families (with children). We can also accommodate French speakers.
  • Lovely cottage.

  • We arrived to a beautifully lit, welcoming cottage with some delicious cheese scones and fresh eggs. There is every amenity you could want and it’s much more spacious than it appears online, especially the main bedroom. We fought over the reclining armchair in the living area as it was so comfy! Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • We had a lovely relaxing few days away, the property had everything we needed and Jayne met us on arrival to give us a tour. Although attached to their house we had plenty of privacy and it was very spacious! The bed was comfy, the shower was really good, and they had underfloor heating too. Also a Nintendo wii with a variety of games which we played. The perfect remote place where we were able to relax and unwind!

  • We had a wonderful time in Jayne’s beautiful home. The house itself is spacious for a small family or couple and is cosy, clean and very comfortable indeed. The countryside location is beautiful; our 18 month old daughter delighted in seeing horses and tractors go past, and pheasants in the garden. All in all a lovely home from Home, in a great location. Jayne was a fabulous host, giving us loads of local tips and advice, responding to our queries instantly and even helping us out once we arrived and realised we had forgotten some essential items! We will be back.

  • Wonderful space to relax in that exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with this gorgeous accommodation. High end finish and contemporary style with some fabulous olde world features giving a feeling of luxury. The fabulous fireplace has the wow factor and is enhanced by mood lighting. Underfloor heating makes it cosy but we couldn’t resist the log burner which was mesmerising. Two huge sofas to stretch on whilst watching TV make for a very relaxing stay in great surroundings. The bathroom also has mood lighting and I felt as if I was having a bath by candlelight. The bedroom was quiet and bed so comfortable. Jayne was a delightful host making us welcome and providing so many thoughtful touches. We did some beautiful walks in the local area. I would love to return for another stay.
